How important is it to have the right golf grip?

how important is it to have the right golf grip it might be more important than you think I used to always use these Golf Pride chore wrap grips which are good and they’re very popular whenever I buy golf clubs this is probably the most common grip I see on the club but the thing is and I didn’t realize it at the time it does taper down a lot and I only had one piece of tape and this is a midsize grip but still would happen is my right hand it would swallow up the grip and my hand would sometimes slip when I would hit the ball which I thought it was maybe a problem of me and not the grip I didn’t realize that it that could just be the have the right wrong size grip I don’t know why I didn’t think of that but I didn’t and that’s why I’m doing this video so I switched these cp2 wrap midsize from Golf Pride and it’s much more comfortable
