Professional golf is back in Charlotte for their annual stop at Quail Hollow. The only cast members missing from duty are #1 player in the world Scott Scheffler and Ludvig Aberg. Meanwhile the LPGA is at Upper Montclair CC with more history on the line for Nelly Korda. We run down both fields, cover some news and notes, and more.

Wednesday afternoon is here I needed needed this High Noon it actually is going to feel really good here big Randy is here as well a little earlier in the Mountain Time Zone but hello Mr Big yeah yeah spirits.com map there with the variety packs is really helpful High Noon Sun’s up a lot to get to today uh quick news updates of the week of course Scotty Sheffer not in the field this week at the Wells Fargo ludig oberg not in the field with some KN trouble we can talk a little bit about that later that’s not a good sign a week before a major we’re fine web is of course in the field as his custom uh for Signature Events but listen rather than starting this show like we normally would with just saying mean things about Quil Hollow hating on it ripping on it I we’re gonna go around the horn here I’m gonna ask everyone to say something nice uh about Quil Hollow and I’m gonna start with you TC uh Quil Hollow is exceptionally capable of Hosting big events as we’ve seen with the they got two uh Signature Events a President’s Cup and a major within a three or four year span so Props to them they they they’ve got the infrastructure the the corporate Hospitality the logistics and just the the general uh you know gate Revenue figured out that’s that’s a perfect TC compliment for Quail Hollow that’s even better than I was anticipating Mr Big what’s something nice you could say about Quail Hollow I I’ll piggyback you know they they have had a lot of events some big events and I feel like by and large it’s not an ironclad rule but the the the course tends to produce some good name winners and going all the way back to David Toms and you had Jim furick and BJ and tiger and Joey Sy we’ve had Rory uh we’ve had our good friend Max hom we’ve had you know Brian Haron before he went on to win the open we had wam Clark before he went on to win the US Open so I feel like the one of one the nicest things I can say about Quail Hollow by and large it tends to identify uh good golfer something nice I’ll say is during the President’s Cup in 2022 it got to flex a little bit of a different muscle I think as a match play course it was a lot more interesting some a lot more interesting pins I remember on the like the driveable eighth hole they had some really interesting pins over the top of one of the ridges on the left and I just remember thinking like huh man this was way more enjoyable Golf Course to watch um you know in a match format and I think we are just a little hard on it it’s it’s not a it’s not a bad Golf Course right it’s just it’s big it’s bold it’s kind of uh probably a bit of a an amalgamation of what we just don’t like in general about torque courses that overemphasize driving distance and just don’t necessarily produce the highest interesting level of golf from a strategic standpoint but it’s not bad right it should it’s a different category than TPC Craig Ranch Craig James excuse me uh and I think we we could probably do a better job of distinguishing between the two yes I think we’re we’re just tired tired of it right we’re just Overexposed who capable of Hosting big time and you know I I you know that’s a lot of nice things to be said but I think we can we can keep going because we have a guest that’s ready uh if we can go ahead and make the call to the pen uh somebody that you know is close to the area very familiar with the area here he comes uh in from the buul pin he’s warmed up he’s stretched he’s limbered up he’s ready to go uh Quail Hollow member Johnson Wagner I’m going to task you say something nice about qu Hollow well I I have to say you guys are not wrong at all but Quail Hollow is the most kept golf course in the world right now it is perfect out there and so when the guys come on to the driving range and they talk about the place the conditions are perfect I hear what you’re saying about the golf course but it is perfect out there this week guys TC do you want to get any any beefs you want to get about Quil out with with qu Defender Johnson Wagner right here uh what do you say to the to to the haters out there that that claim it’s it’s a little bit one-dimensional or it’s a little bit uh you know too much of an emphasis on driving distance like this was the this was where the blow Pig was invented last year uh I I per I personally have an issue with where where we’ve gone as a member where we’ve gone as a club with the golf course we’ve every time we make a change to the place we make it better as a venue but not better as a golf course which is uh it’s a bit of a tough pill to swallow because I think you could have it both ways so when we add te’s and we do stuff uh it it doesn’t make it a better experience for the average player but it is a better Championship venue and you go out there today and you see these guys hitting the ball 350 yards I think Quail Hollow is a heck of a test I thought Su as he always does uh gives it it’s just due Quail hollow’s had a bunch of good winners and a bunch of good memories and and you know I mean Bring It On TC come on give it to me give it to me like you want to uh there’s been some good winners there’s been some fluky winners too like uh the Derek Ernst year that the that was sick they lost the you want to get into that I love that that was sweet uh how has it evolved since they started hosting this in 03 well I I think the mission statement of the club at Quail Hollow is that we want to host the best golfers and have the best events at Quail Hollow and I I think we’ve delivered a venue where we can have the best players in the world come and play golf and and have a test that that is that is you know deserving of the best players in the world and behind the scenes uh my brother runs player Serv serves for the Wells Fargo Championship and it’s amazing like when guys come on property at Quail Hollow and S this is what I wanted you to experience like Quail Hollow is not just the golf course youall see on TV it’s the experience of being on property and it’s so much bigger than that and and I I think that’s what y’all Miss in the Quail Hollow fatigue that you talk of so much I I I just think you need to and TC you’re even welcome I I’ll even we may it may it may take a special like Tuesday guest day try to get you out there but we we would love to have you come out and and come and and have a couple drinks play golf and experience what it is to be at Quail which is a good thing um I’m with you on some of the course changes that are made they’re they’re maybe not the best but at the same time we we try to put out the best product possible we want the best players in the world to be here and we strive to make it better every year and the the people that are actually in charge they listen to the the the critics and make those changes every year if we need be I think the the all that makes a ton of sense I think if I can if I was putting myself in the listener standpoint of saying like listen 99.9% of us are not going to be attending in person we’re going to be watching on television right and and uh you know that’s that’s kind of where some of the the muted reaction comes to it I it’s hard though I I’d probably put it middle of the pack on PJ tour courses right and it’s it’s uh you know it is a good stage like really good stadium seating and a good atmosphere I think can contribute to exciting golf tournaments it just for those of that those of us that watch Thursday through Sunday I think it is like like we said Overexposed right we’ve just seen it a whole heck of a lot and now it’s going back to a major championship venue next year it just uh it’s a lot I think Randy has some some beefs with the city at large uh as well I don’t know if you want to take some time to air that out oh how do how where does Charlotte get off in calling itself the Queen City just because some some King you know we had a revolution here in America we didn’t want anything to do with the with the British some King’s wife was named Charlotte and hence you know now you’re the Queen City where Cincinnati has been dubbed the Queen City The Jewel of the west by by Poets by by men of letters and words um I just I can’t stand for it Charlotte I I feel like they’re they’re just trying to steal the Valor of Cincinnati I I don’t know what your metric is for the Queen City I if you’re you know if Cincinnati’s the Queen City is it based on per capita meth heads uh that that’s disgusting that is disgusting wow I mean I’ve been to Cincinnati I’ve stayed downtown Cincinnati Charlotte is a wonderful City it is the Queen City is the Charlotte City and and like I know you guys want to dog on on us all the time but come to Charlotte come visit this tournament it’s it’s basically the Augusta of the PGA Tour here in in qu essentially it’s like Atlanta’s little brother that in a good way yeah I think in a good way I think it’s got some some nice features it’s got a terrible airport you got to admit that terrible airport it’s getting better we’ve been under construction for about 10 years and and I think in another 10 we’ll be finally ready to actually House people yeah I guess I just get back to like with qua Hollow I think going back to full swing where it felt like Tulsa was the the epicenter of the golf Universe for how often they went back there I think Charlotte feels like that just generally speaking because it feels like we just continually go back there for random events and I think the Wells Fargo has been a great event since it started like it’s been you know I like I think I’ve actually come to appreciate Quail Hollow more with having certain years off like like like when they went to avanel uh you know in h DC or what was that Eagle Point in wilington and it was like you know what like I’m excited to go back to Quil Hollow next year and see it a new I guess a little bit well you get that break again next year then right because PGA is going there it’s weird this same T it’s just weird like this same tournament will just be next week right I know the setup will be a little bit different but that’s that’s where some of the confusion can alive so what’s what’s really cool though when you’re on the ground here in Charlotte and I was the first alternate for the proam today which is shocking and and that’s a whole different conversation as far as the signature events on the PGA tour that I was actually the first alternate for the Wednesday proam because there’s not enough players uh but I’m out on the range with Rory maroy and Colin morawa and all their caddies and every single player to a te they come up and they say man it’s really good to be in Charlotte it’s really good to be at Quail Hollow and I think players love being here and I think Cades love being here I think their families love being here and I think that is what the golf course is was it is what it is the club is fantastic and is great at hosting people but I I think the fact that the players want to be here is what is what means the most to to the city fair enough typical typical Tour player it’s all about the players it’s not about us fans sitting at home it’s uh you know that what it is unfortunately so I I feel like if I showed up to a proam I would be 10 times more excited to play with you half the guys in the field this week we should maybe get you into the field I mean I know we’ve got other qu Hollow members in there TC let’s let’s take him up on this let’s we’ll fly up on your plane uh and we’ll go play uh at Charlotte or at Quail and then we’ll we’ll fly back on the same day and we’ll take don’t let buy you don’t let him buy your loyalty I’m taking you down everyone any course that we ever have any critique on everyone like you got to come play you’ll you’ll see what you’re missing out I’m like okay if we come and want to shred it even harder like that’s on you that that’s going to be on you but we will we will have you anytime any place in TC I guarantee uh that my brother and I against you and Su it’s going to be a great match I don’t know who’s gonna win but it’ll be competitive we’ll have a good time yeah the pro golfer on his on his home course I can’t wait to see that match that’s GNA be great so all right that was an inning in 23d throwing high heat like you always do Johnson we appreciate your contribution have a great Wednesday afternoon and thank you very much for joining us and best of luck to you and Quail Hollow this this coming week see you buddy all right you all know roback best fit best feel it’s now spring there’s nothing better for the season than roback they’ve been pumping out new designs left and right they’re incredible Beyond just sclf they got bathing suits now which you can use to go from a hot day on the course straight to the pool the performance polos moisture wicking they got great stretch the collar is crisp it does not lose its shape uh they fit way better than those typical old boxy polos do simply put the best designs paired with the best feeling polos uh you know about the performance H I got my favorite one on the white one today I put I I use a special load in the in the washer for this one I love this one so goes It goes in by itself uh you know and just goes because this I you can’t have anything getting messed up about this this sharp white on this one might want to hand wash it just handh it I might I might make you doing your own laundry of course I do my own laundry what’s that supposed to mean huh just asking the question because you don’t know how to do laundry uh fantastic we wear you can wear them on the course or just in everyday life the qzip are soft versatile comfortable uh they make they fit perfectly with your golf swing I love the workout gear I put on a workout shirt this morning it inspired me to work out actually so I need about five more of those uh and if you haven’t it’s time to load up on some roback for yourself and for others code nlu there Cody’s got it on right here right now 20% off your first order code nlu through the end of this week that’s rhob bac.com 20% off bottoms qzip hoodies and more with code nlu spring golf is not the same without rowack don’t sleep on the long sleeve uh polos this is like my summer go-to where I don’t have to put sunscreen on my arms I just just throw this on it’s a great sunshirt the uh the crew neck sweatshirt that I’m wearing it’s nice very nice weight highly encourage everybody still to wear a sunscreen protect yourself don’t listen to TC’s not a medical doctor want to get that out there thank you very much Cody all right put a call out for questions I’ve been accused not implementing questions in the show it’s a false accusation every time it’s made uh but we’re starting uh with those just to make sure we get to them I’m going to throw this to you guys first hv3 tracker year two of the signature designated elevated meab bonus model can you confidently say there’s been they’ve been more memorable than past years if not what’s the point Randy I’m gonna throw to you first uh I don’t know I can’t confidently say that yeah so I I I would agree with HV three tracker what is the point uh we know the points to try to get the best in the world uh at least on the PGA tour competing more often and uh more consistently when fans will know that they’re going to be in the field I guess mission accomplished there I I think part of the point has been to distribute more money to the players I would say probably mission accomplished there but from a fan standpoint you know I I think of uh I well I’ll say two examples one where I do think it really has helped is I love Harbor toown I love Hilton Head having the the best on the PGA tour go play The Heritage that has been great because you see a lot of guys playing that tournament who otherwise would have never played it and so um that’s the good side of it a tournament like the Genesis Riv I don’t think it makes a difference right that that’s always a great tournament it’s a great course I couldn’t tell you you know we we had great winners prior to it being a a designated event so I don’t know I I’d say net net probably not you know doing as much as what they were hyped up to do U but there are some good examples TC uh like Randy said I think Travelers Harbor toown there’s a few other examples there I think overall the Stars need to play better outside of Scotty that that’s what it comes down to uh also I have a problem with us taking a question from a tracker on me it was a good question he’s a good one don’t worry uh we know he’s a proud proud service member uh and there’s nothing for him to track anymore cuz who knows what H3 is going yeah that’s got to be light work well hv3 this is like his hometown event you know the the uh Charlotte event and you know yeah who knows what he’s doing this week listen I I think uh it it’s kind of like um making a baseball move that makes a ton of sense like hey does it make sense to trade for this guy or bring this guy up or put him in the lineup and comes out and he hits 100 for the first like month and a half of the year it’s just because like it hasn’t like fully delivered this year doesn’t mean it’s not the right move and not not over and that over time it won’t be the right move last year they were fantastic events I thought they were they felt a lot more elevated it was like all right this was the PJ tour’s way of striking back everything after uh June 6 almost said Jane 6 again everything after June 6 has just felt like rudderless of like I don’t really know what I’m watching when I’m watching Pro Golf kind of somewhat similar to when I’m watching live uh in terms of like I don’t know what we’re building towards I don’t really care nearly as much about who wins these as I did uh when these tours were at War when they were supposedly now merging and who knows what’s going on like the the the rudderless direction of pro golf is more distracting than the fact that like hey most of the best players in the world are all playing of course at the same time they wouldn’t all be here in these numbers if it wasn’t almost mandated or wasn’t designated elevated whatever you want to call it and in theory it should create more exciting leaderboards and more recognizable names like would we be viewing this differently if Pebble would have got to have their Sunday with like ludvig and and Windam and the names were up there at the top of that um like the these leaderboards delivered in 2023 the ROM Max showdown at Genesis I go back to like and I I this is the part that’s awkward to say and the people don’t like hearing but honestly cutting off some of the bottom of the field is less likely that you’re gonna have a fluky winner that kind of ruins a great leader board so I still support it uh I think it can I don’t think it has transformed form Med Pro Golf the way that maybe it felt like it was possibly going to when it was started out with a lot of great momentum but I still think this is better than the alternative of just like a smooth out schedule because that done that think there’s yeah I think there’s there’s two things there I thought a were gonna weave in the Theo Epstein stuff from today with your baseball analogy it was a little bit like trading for you know somebody and then not putting a team around them like you’re you’re kind of doing you know you’re making this big change and then they’re not differentiating it at all right of just like all right just because you Juiced the purse and the best players are there like they’re it still looks like the same product to the Casual fan I think that’s that’s part of it too and then I think also like it’s I have a big problem with it from a competitive standpoint as far as like this is web’s fourth start of the year or this is you know in these designated events where there’s it’s such a side door into the top of the FedEx Cup if you play well if you know it just feels like all right if we’re going to make this all about comp competition and quality of competition then you know what we need to we need to close that side door make it truly Merit based or if you want to you want to spice it up a little bit and you’re G to have these these sponsors invites and everything else available which these people are paying $20 million to I think they have the right to do that a little bit have like the the coolest qualifier ever like pick four six eight games have them do it on a Monday you want to talk about like extra juice put it on live stream it on YouTube do something figure something out and and Let It Go like actually have people and you can still pick the webs or whoever else you want but like have an actual competitive Avenue instead of just being like yeah he’s a member which obviously this week weighs in heavily but also like you know their past results and everything aren’t the only Factor weighing into them getting into this tournament so there’s the the the part about Pro Golf that nobody likes and nobody likes talking about just like asking companies to Fork up 25 million bucks which Well Fargo is no longer going to do uh gives them the right to pick a few guys to put in the tournament right so I’m fine with that except that like there’s still room to add more players to this field right like 69 players into it so you can keep going down the list you can create some excitement about getting into it you can just almost optically give a better impression of these events I mean there are a ton of spots up for grabs the swing 10 and swing five I can’t keep track of of what they all are but like you play good golf out these events you get in right and that’s the part that I feel like gets under commented on is just like it the the closed system it’s not a closed system you can play your way in your golf scores get you in still and I fall back on like dude there’s not like a hot or extremely talented player that gets cut out of these fields right I mean look at the names at the bottom of it it’s kind of like ah okay I mean we’re at a reasonable cutof Point yeah I don’t I just you know I think the zurich’s kind of a get out of jail free card on that front as well of like all right yeah you can go pair up with one of the best players in the world and play well and rock it up the FedEx Cup standings I think with web I’m fine like on the grand scheme of things as far as as exemptions go I’m fine with him getting one this week it’s the other three that he’s gotten that pissed me off of like especially if you know you’re GNA get one for Quail Hollow and then coming out in the media and talking about it with zero self-awareness and the sense of entitlement and basically the only reason he didn’t get one for riviero was because it was his kid’s birthday and he didn’t want one just like the [ __ ] Optics are terrible it’s so bad it’s so bad and there’s just oh God the tour’s going to eat itself all right one one more question mie mle if you could make a trade between the PGA Tour and live for two players excluding Ron Brooks and cam who would you pick to come back and who would you send packing from the tour comparable players like Windam for uh for Neeman for example I love this question this was a great question I got a pretty easy answer here if you guys will uh yeah go ahead please I’m gonna if we’re looking at Value I’m giving Xander and C lay up uh for DJ and for Bryson that’s that’s my trade if we had to exclude Ron Brooks and cam uh DJ and Bryson would be the most interesting guys uh to come back and sander Klay I i’ I’d be fine if that if that if they went away that’s where I was gonna go s I was gonna go Xander and Klay pack your [ __ ] up maybe Windom um that’s so I I want Bryson back for competitive purposes I want Neeman back uh I thought about Bland but I can’t rip the soul out of the cleaks like that and then P Reed’s just too too volatile I like him over on live he’s he’s kind of sequestered over there you gotta trade big yeah it’s two that TC just said he didn’t want I’m bringing Blandy home I I want to watch him play um he’s 51 he might he might just go to the champion he’s 51 yeah oh Tri he tried to play in the European like the the uh the senior men’s open in the European wouldn’t let him because they said he he was in violation and he hadn’t paid his fines he’s too good he’s simply too good for that uh I was thinking too P you know P or Phil or Bryson I don’t care somebody that gives us something to talk about personality uh and then I I’m fine Xander Patrick I you know Milton F now if he wants to go don’t do this Randy come on that’s so you know don’t do the Milton thing in that convers we couldn’t pick Cam and we couldn’t pick Brooks those are the three that we couldn’t pick correct yeah those all make sense making guc come back would be fun too like forcing him to come back that’d be fun for a week and a half and then he would just go like absolve back into around the 40th to 50th best player and like we wouldn’t hear from him uh that’s exactly what would happen all I could I could send Tom Kim too I think we could do that send gonna give him a global Superstar I think he’d be great on the iron heads personally is that comparable value that’s that’s an interesting comment TC that’s comparable value uh we can we can build off Kim for Blandy all right we’re going to do a quick segment here um we’re not I don’t know how far we into the season we are maybe about halfway does that seem about right um we got three literally who could say three Majors to go but timeline wise probably about halfway through I I I want everybody to go with somebody that has been sneaky good this year sneaky having a good season my answer um my and we’re going to do sneaky badge shortly after this but my answer maybe a little bit cheating because this guy has won on the PGA tour this year but uh my vote was oxay baa which is uh just the the actual leap he’s made in terms of Strokes gain and in terms of consistency and like the across the board leap has been really impressive uh if you can see the up on the screen here the data golf image of just tracking the moving average of Strokes gain from like where he turned Pro kind of middling around there uh in 2022 with well at a well below average but uh the constant rise he’s had and like that blue line you see in that image is a top 25 player like his uh his leap he’s made uh at the age that he’s he is which is 22 years four months I believe it says on the screen uh it it’s massive dude I I honestly didn’t think his ceiling was was this high like top 25 in the world I kind of thought um you know I think Kevin naw was probably the best comp for someone uh like him in terms of turning pro when you’re 17 and just trying to make it and and carving out a career I don’t think he’s on like a ludvig track but uh he’s my sneaky good player uh so far this year and I I just wanted to shout him out for that uh TC you’re next yeah I was gonna go with Xander first I didn’t realize how good of a season Xander’s having he’s like just keeps racking up I think he’s gotten top 10 and more than half of his starts and and just a little bit jarring to see uh he’s he’s made uh almost every cut he’s got 10 top 25s and seven top 10 but I’m going to go a different direction I’m going with JT Poston underrated player in the world pound-for-pound best player in the world 14th on the season right now 40th in the world in the Crooked owgr I don’t think anybody extracts more uh results from their skill set and and profile than JT Poston he’s a North Carolina guy I wanted to highlight him this week for the Quil Hollow uh and then you know I would be remiss if I didn’t say a aner and Dean and Dean bur as well thank you TC for getting four names in in that segment Randy what’s your’s who’s your sneaky good player so far this year yeah I um so I went with somebody that hasn’t won I I I leaned into the sneaky part of uh sneaky good and I want to highlight Ben on he’s a guy um he’s he’s got seven top 25s on the year he’s he’s done some work in these uh elevated signature that’s part of the problem the marketing what do we nobody even knows what to call them uh but he’s he’s uh he’s got four top 10 he had a runner up at the Sony at the beginning of the year uh Strokes gained wise his profile I believe he’s like uh what is he 37th overall Strokes gain total um really good off the te just not putting it great and not great around the green so if the putter does get hot he could certainly NAB a a victory here or there this season I love are we are we worried about another suspension though possibly possibly TC Randy Roo in the agenda cough syrup on uh in there instead of Ben on just potential juice monkey well guys it was over it was an accident listen I I learned about over-the-counter stuff uh that was maybe illegal in Australia that helped me out greatly so there’s a reason there are other protocols in place though also T I want to come up with somebody that’s been sneaky bad all the gains Ricky Fowler made last year it was a very real leap uh they all went away they went they went away really hard he went right back to kind of middling around where he was in 2021 and 2022 which uh again if you’re watching online you can see on the screen he he went he zoomed past being a top 25 player uh in the world with his with his moving average in in 2023 and it just fell right back to he’s essentially an average PGA Tour player and I’ve not heard any chatter about him uh you know maybe that’s maybe that kind of says it all in terms of what people are expecting out of him these days but I thought his comeback was pretty darn real last year it was sustained it was not a not a short you know uh blip on the on the radar if you will and now he’s back to back to being whatever The Struggle Bus is and it’s it’s disappointing to see if Rick can’t get it turned around this week it’s it’s caused for alarm this place should be perfect for him yeah um yeah obviously a lot of different directions we can go here there some of my favorites one name uh I’m gonna go with Vincent Norman I have had him kind of pegged for some more stardom and kind of a you know he’s just sky the limit guy and he just hasn’t done [ __ ] this year uh really really bad season thus far um so I’ll leave that there that’s that’s you know obvious we could go Justin saw Nick Hardy Scott Stallings Davis Riley aent I was waiting vinent Norman I was waiting for the addc uh apology that’s that’s tough know that one I’m more sad about than I am kind of like all right he’s going to turn it around here soon but yeah and the aces obviously of course Randy who’s your sneaky bad player of the year so far yeah you know the the pride of Canada Taylor pendrith winning last week uh Kent State golden flash Alum it got me thinking about the other Kent State golden flash Alum and that’s Cory Connors who had been putting together uh some very good Seasons last year started to started to flash um we’re we’re seeing his kind of carear yearby year summary page and I think the big thing to note is you know he he got the win last year he’s usually good for I don’t know call it five to to 10 top tens in any given season zero so far this year um he’s actually he’s he’s hitting the ball well his approach play is Elite but the putting and the chipping are awful so my guy Corey Connor is is fighting it a little bit this year and I think from where we kind of saw him progressing last year he’s he’s certainly taken a step back Randy you could have gone with another flash too McKenzie Hughes McKenzie they’re trafficking in Canadians up there pipel so many Canadians uh moving on to our fanuel play of the week of course anything in this section is subject to change quick look at the odds sheet for this week Rory is the favorite at plus 650 Xander at plus 900 Windham Clark is Plus 14400 plus 18800 Max homas Plus 2,000 we got morawa JT and cam young at plus 2500 sth Tommy lad at plus 2,800 Victor hin still plus 3,000 despite uh the Tough Run that he has Milton fenal plus 3500 all that good stuff you can keep going down the list uh TC again one pick what is your one pick this week doesn’t have to be a winner any FanDuel pick of the week uh Cody flash it up there for me because I had like six picks and I can’t remember which one I sent over Lauren cogin Xander shley no I I did our I did our custom parlays for the week too with the top top 20s so uh Lauren cogin top 10 Xander shofy top 10 well parlay action uh this is this is my play of the week I think Xander’s been a top 10 machine this year Lauren’s played well at she had a tough final round last year at the founders but this should be a great Golf Course for um not getting a whole lot of value out of the Xander plus 105 odds that are subject to change but luren at plus 600 for a top 10 I really really like that harl them together you get some decent value I like that big Randy what’s your play of the week yeah uh I’m I’m on the lpj tour and it’s listen I don’t know how to handicap anything but I did see this just for fun this is for entertainment purposes right our good friend Matan saom finished uh last week with a 65 got into a the top 10 and just looking at her her recent results in the founders at Upper Montclair uh Country Club she finished tied for 10th last year two years ago she was in the final group ended up finishing tied for third she goes off at 60 to one this week I or plus 6,000 whatever uh odds you prefer there and I I just think it’s pretty good value it’s a course that suits her um and her having that really nice Sunday round last week um it’s kind of like oh damn if she found something she can get streaky and so I wouldn’t mind placing a little flyer on miss mateline this week guys I had I found a fun one in there that I honestly didn’t know uh that FanDuel had um just did a just a little bit of research on this uh among the Rory Tom Kim Max hom group I have Rory to have the longest drive on in the first round on the first hole of course it has to be in the Fairway but it’s plus one uh 115 it’s a pretty bit wide Fairway there on one Rory’s driving it incredible it’s basically a bet like does Rory hit the first Fairway and I think he will uh and that if if he hits the first Fairway he’s going to have the longest drive of him and Tom Kim and Max hom um I lowkey love this one so that was you’re basically betting that like a bet for Tom Kim would be a bet that the other two missed a fairway then correct right yeah okay so uh there’s a lot of fun fun ones out there yeah thank you I I was very thrilled when I found this one I was like kind of wish I lived in in in a state where that could make that happen but uh thank you to fand of course odds are subject to change TC hit us with one today a stat of the week uh I have never heard of this stat and as the stats guy I was so impressed that you one found this and two that this stat exists three that the PJ tour tracks it and for the level at which we’re going to get to so TC take us to the stat of the week yeah I was deep in the minds on the uh PGA Tour website sometimes I like to to swing through there look at different streaks like who has the current longest Cuts made streak or current you know longest streak without a three putt um which I think is like 230 holes in a row for somebody right now but uh it’s there’s there’s a couple categories on there there’s one percentage of available purse so the the the percentage that you could win of the purse as a singular player and then there’s there’s another one that’s percentage of total purse and Scotty Sheffer far and away is absolutely crushing people right now uh he’s got 62 he’s got 62% of potential money one in literally it up if you won every tournament he would win $30.1 and he’s instead he’s won $18.69 million uh that so he’s won 62% of possible money he could have possibly won on the PGA tour next closest is Windam at 30.25% and then ludvig and Hideki are at 20% so I mean Scotty’s just he’s he’s laugh it’s crazy it’s insane a went back and did a little checking of just Tiger stats in this and uh went and found the the 2000 season uh of Tiger stats tiger won 63% uh of the money in 2000 he won 9.1 million out of a possible 14.5 million uh so Scotty is almost tracking at Tiger 2000 level little different math here because they didn’t have he didn’t have the Signature Events there weren’t the purses that were this far out of uh you know percentage is percentage though right that’s actually true you’re right still the same distribution of verses like you know that’s an insane stat I was flabbergasted when I saw that that is a brand new way which I think it should be a weekly segment as well a brand new way to describe how good Scotty Sheffer is at golf because we are running out of ways to describe it but uh great find on that one all right let’s go to uh this was an easy one this week the most interesting pre-tournament quote um almost all of them I think there’s several to choose from from this one guy Mr maoy uh I I I chose this one uh just about his answer of the news that he will not be returning to the board and that web Simpson will be seeing out his term I think we have that clip uh if it is available to play uh and this is Roy’s question when be or answer when being asked about uh how that all unfolded it got pretty complicated and pretty messy um and I I think with the way the way it happened I think it opened up some Old Wounds and scar tissue from things that have happened before so um yeah I think it was and and it was I think there was there was there was a subset of people on the board that were maybe um uncomfortable with me coming back on for some reason um and yeah I think that you know the best I think the best course of action is if if you know there’s some people on there that aren’t comfortable with me coming back on then um I think Webb just stays on and and and sees out his term and I think he’s he’s gotten to a place where he’s comfortable with doing that and I uh I just sort of keep keep doing what I’m doing uh so yeah I it’s you know I put my hand up to help and you know it was I wouldn’t say it was rejected it was just it was hard it was it was a complicated process to get through to to put me back on there so um that’s all fine no hard feelings and and we’ll all move on all right TC I’m gonna I’m gonna Define this as clearly as I can as or as simple as I can for what it feels like what’s going on Rory wants a merger with Liv he wants a deal done with piff he wants he wants UniFi reunify the game and it certainly sounds like what he’s describing is that one two many people on the board many players on the board many maybe PJ tour players uh maybe don’t necessarily want that or don’t want him back on the board to try to push that through what am I what am I missing out of this situation yeah I think that’s it’s really interesting that Kay is now kind of the villain for not wanting to work with disis how this thing is flipped around um yeah it seems like I think there’s a block within the board I would assume it’s probably Klay spe tiger you know whomever else that’s that’s very like Hey we’re going to get this stuff worked out they’re extremely distrustful of Monahan Hurley Dunn uh flarity those guys on the board and then and then kind of H all right how do we you know how do you move forward how do you fold everything back together I think Rory’s looking towards the future once a global tour these other guys don’t want a global tour they want to play in North America and just have the status quo and so essentially they’re going to just make the tour wait this out I I do think it’s tough with Rory that man you were on the board and and you stepped down like you know you kind of these guys elected you you kind of bailed on him which is fine if you got a bunch of stuff going on but I think that kind of precludes you from wanting to hop back on when when it’s convenient so it’s I mean it’s not like Jordan doesn’t have a bunch of [ __ ] going on at home with you know two kids and and all sorts of business interests and stuff like that so you know it’s it’s you know and then we got James Han talking about democracy Y and all right you’re deflecting you’re deflecting you’re deflecting you cannot say that Rory was not treated like extremely dirty basically put out there like like feed in whatever field you want to see and let anybody like just completely pick him apart on every single quote and he put himself out there a lot I understand that I think the one thing that is kind of missing and I’ll I’ll say this which I kind of agree with where the kle cabal is at is that they believe that they’re representing the entirety of the PGA Tour not just I would say Rory’s vision of the World Tour solely rests like on the top 70 to maybe a hundred people in the world that play professional golf and the flip side is like no we’re we are have strength here in our numbers very much looking at it uh like a union shop and saying we’re trying our best to hold this together to maximize potential you know Revenue everything else that’s coming in we don’t need those guys to do that suly am I wrong I I honestly don’t know but I I would struggle to like paint Klay as the hero for the every man the and the mules of the PGA tour right I I I does that’s not the vibe I get I again I can’t say definitively either way on that that’s that’s not like necessarily congruent with what I’m hearing but it’s not like he’s trying to screw the rank and file I think there is a world I think ideally and I don’t know the exact answer on how to get there but there’s a world where like the top funnel gets big bigger and like everybody else benefits from it right like that’s like the best case scenario of all of this and I think the way Rory sees that playing out is of course unifying the game and I think he part a big part of Rory dude is like he’s a legitimate golf fan right he it’s his profession he’s lucky enough to be in a spot where it like he said this on our podcast in 2021 like every dollar I make going forward playing golf I don’t need like I would not give up what I have but every doll I would play for free going forward and some of what Roy says is a little high mind a little bit of [ __ ] but like I believe that like I don’t think he’s acting in his own best sense other than like saying that uh I I I do think what works for him also would work for the golf fan and is convenient like I I so I don’t want to necessarily paint him as a complete hero there and he does have different interests in this than a lot of the American golfers that you know may do have families and don’t necessarily want to play all around the world so I I struggle to see a world where we sitting here as golf fans and and every chiming in the chat and listening to this like like this works out great that doesn’t include unification which is the part that just worries me about all this it feels like we’re no closer to any of this maybe unification would suck way more than I think it would and live would win May way more than I think it would and uh you know they can’t get out of their own way again it’s easy to sit here and talk about it’s hard to make the decisions and put into action here but man it it’s a pretty clear message if you didn’t want uh Rory back here I it sounds like Rory would want back on because of his contacts within piff and and could kind of help see this through and if that gets rejected which again I kind of understand after he left but uh it it leaves me pretty worried about how about all this coming together I got two I got two things I think Rory I don’t think anybody’s acting maliciously I think they’re all acting as they see the best interest even Klay I think they were all lied to by Jay Rory included I think the fact that Jay’s still in power is [ __ ] insane like you know like we’re it’s it’s May 8th 2024 now we’re we’re four plus years into this thing and Jayce fumbled it at every turn and the fact that they can’t get somebody in there to to lead and that that people trust because I think that’s the biggest thing can’t lay spe you like they just don’t trust Jay at all right and I think Rory is viewed within that room as a sympathizer for Jay between his Fenway contacts and and you know between Hurley and Don’s relationship with Rory and all that so I think there’s you know I think there’s some rightful skepticism there now I would say if I’m Rory like cool these guys don’t want to play ball i’ I’d call up guy Kennings and and the DP World Tour and piff and say cool let’s do something let’s set up a an International Event series that’s separate from Liv that you know basically dare the PGA Tour to tell PGA Tour players that they can’t play in these events and you know maybe you incorporate the Irish open in that maybe you incorporate uh you know a big tournament in England or a big tournament in Mainland Europe or the Australian Open basically call their Bluff and say hey this is I’m gonna put my money where my mouth is I want a global tour I’m gonna do that it’s not you know you can still play the PGA Tour like I’m not destroying the PGA Tour but I’m putting my money where my mouth is and setting the example here yeah it’s just hard to I know he’s I wouldn’t say he’s flip-flopped a lot I think his opinion on a lot of things has evolved more information’s coming on but he literally just said like a couple weeks ago like God I’m going to be on the PJ tour for the rest of my career right like I think it’d be hard I know you’re not talking about him leaving the PJ tour but like that’s G to be viewed that way right and that’s a huge part of this for me is like I I think you can follow logic with Rory very easily to like how why how and why his opinion has changed on things and evolved as new information comes in it’s a whole new world once uh June 6th happened and it’s a whole new landscape you’re making decisions within as of that point and and it just there’s a difference in like governing leading and there’s a difference in logic right like the PGA tour players are a pretty finicky and unruly bunch and that a huge part of politics and governing and leading in general is not like making the most logical decision it’s making the most appealing decision for the group people that you’re governing right and I I think Rory’s right on a lot of this and I just think the PJ tour players as a whole view it differently right and so his relationship his in ability to get back on the board even if he’s saying a lot of the right things is represent like you got to figure out how to sell this to people and he’s not been good at that part and I don’t know how you do uh sell it to to the board as a whole and and to the leaders and the rest of the PJ tour policy board members as a whole uh and get it pushed through but what say this who article Sho pac’s article this week about a veteran PJ Tour player coming up and asking kley a question and it’s like oh you know Patrick you have to ask the exact question precisely or else he’s he’s not going to answer you right I’ve learned that too Rory’s like more approachable than that like you’re playing like this this weird not approach it’s just like it just the viewing of flip-flopping is something I’ve heard from players I I don’t necessarily agree with that right but it it is a uh it just felt like everybody was like we’re at war with him we’re at war with him we’re at war with him now all of a sudden again J June 6 changed everything now we’re always talking about merging with this group and kind of bringing the piff together and it seems like flip-flopping even if it’s not necessarily the same I just I think hey like I don’t know what Rory is selling right like I know he’s like there’s this nebulous World Tour thing out there but the people that he’s aligned himself with aren’t aren’t giving us anything to work off of right and I’m sure we’re gonna get waterboarded with Theo Epstein stuff and strategic Sports Group stuff and all sorts of you know hey we got everything under control we found a new title sponsor for Charlotte next year year da da da da da and it’s like you know what guys like your track record let’s say Rory does want to do a global tour the guys in charge of the PJ tour shouldn’t be the one setting that up either they’re [ __ ] idiots so anything to add Randy no nothing nothing nothing where you at where how how you feeling about it all no I don’t even know where I’m at honestly I’m not trying to be glib I I I don’t know I I you could catch me by the day and indifferences the worst place to be I’m not faulting you for this but that’s where it drives you towards like dude I don’t I feel very apathetic about it I I felt that way for for months we tried not to talk about it honestly because it just puts you in a bad mood like yeah Brendan porth had a great great piece in the fried egg newsletter earlier I think it was last week just about how like it’s like yeah man like I’m just gonna go play golf I’m not I’m not gonna watch it this weekend I don’t want to you know between the tgl announcements and you know Bleak dystopia opposite field events and you know the LPGA stuff it’s just you know what [ __ ] it all like just yeah just just take it all away I’d be curious too like who I’m just trying to think of who leaked that information to I think it was you and Murray with the guardian like who who who in whose interest was it to have that out there that Rory wanted to rejoin the board that that that Webb wanted off the board and to do it seemingly prematurely as well was it knowing that this is going to get shot down and then you know to make Rory look uh sympathetic or you know is is it done to make you know to kind of show the public that hey there’s a lot more division within the board than than it has been told I don’t know I think personally I think tiger needs to step up and like show some leadership here whether it’s you know I think some of this needs to come out of you know out in public as well just stand up and talk to your fellow players and talk to the fans and say hey here here’s where I think we should go if anybody disagrees with me they’re they’re more than happy to kind of you know argue accordingly but here’s what I think like and tiger doesn’t seem willing or able to do that out front like lead from out front if you’re you got tagged in on this stuff you guys got to bring you know uh was it Joe Durant in you know on the board or Joe be on the board like all that it’s like all right then like you know what tell us tell us what’s up next right like this negotiation doesn’t seem to be going anywhere yes what the [ __ ] is pro golf going to look like we’re supposed to be Pro Golf fans we have no idea all right that’s enough on that one this I will say Randy you kind of uh you took the easy card there because it I don’t know why you don’t want to State an opinion here on on this side because we’ve been very vocal about it on the LPGA side about a world tour forming a world tour and bringing PF money into it and it seems like you’re 100% for that no that’s fine I I’m to the point with men’s golf where I’m just like just do something let me know what it’s going to be and I’ll I’ll watch what I want to watch like I I I just am not that invested in the boardroom politics I guess I yeah it doesn’t I to su’s point I don’t know what anybody truly wants there there’s no Visions being sold commissioner that is never available is never out in public I I just I’m like okay well whatever’s going to happen is going to happen here’s the most simple view I can make of it it’s like why would golf be the one sport that can withstand division amongst its top players playing in different places why why the [ __ ] would that make sense like it is not the size of football it is not the size of basketball it is not the size of baseball like all of those play in one place like again make that make sense to me it it makes absolutely no sense at all it I get that we talk about reunification and all this stuff I I mean outside of like maybe some live guys playing in their favorite PGA Tour events like none of them want to come back and play like a full PGA Tour season totally and that’s and that’s the what we talking about right until somebody starts talking about stuff that’s going to make the viewing experience better or The Fan Experience better I’m like I I could care less because okay we could reunify tomorrow is that going to drive TV ratings maybe short term but long term it like we weren’t a great spot before the split I I feel like the trends were headed in a not great way so I just I feel like we haven’t even gotten to the part of the conversation yet where I would be interested in like okay how are we going to make this a a true modern sports product that’s great for the viewer and yeah moving on we have just a few minutes here left in happy hour we had some comments come out from TC’s Boy Sam flood let’s make it happy again at NBC uh something we can all get behind talking about um you know when referring to budget cuts being made at NBC it said it’s completely false narrative uh when asked about the allegation that has been cheapening its golf product we are investing in looking at opportunities to grow the game and make the audience bigger Tommy has had more assets and more resources than he’s had in the last few years we looked at the entire portfolio and we decided to lean in where the audience is going to be bigger we use our resources smartly at the other events you have to look at things through the lenss of that NBC tournament golf golf channel tournament golf and the Golf Channel studios are one big bucket you look at the whole bucket and you take advantage of the moment you can grow the game engage the audience and give the biggest audience the best possible experience yeah Tommy Tommy threw the previous guys under the bus he said hey they took some toys away from me now I got all the toys back then flood said well you know what we only used the toys for the majors and the big events where first of all where the [ __ ] were those toys dur in the Ridder Cup last year they didn’t go to the Ridder cup uh but it’s just so funny to where like now he’s basically biting the hand of the PJ tour of saying you know what like we outside of the players we don’t care about any of these Rank and file events we’re going to do the bare the bare minimum on those uh we’re just going to focus on the majors we’ll see if you know the major telecasts provide uh you know some sort of rest fite but I I think you know he he’s trying to engender sympathy he said he belongs to two golf clubs and that he’s a Patriots fan uh which I’m not sure like if that’s great PR like I’m not sure if people are going to be sympathetic to you on that front uh like these people are just goons they’re goons they are it’s it’s the most it’s the most reactive uh statement from leadership that I can remember right how how about being a little proactive you know I Su you you reading that statement it just screams to me we’re going to react to where the audience has traditionally been that’s where we’re going to deploy our resources and yeah sure on on a certain level I get it if it’s all about dollars and cents but what what what I see kind of reading between the lines there’s no proactivity to try to bring audiences or to try to grow other weeks of the calendar and and again like I know we’re going to talk lpj a little bit too we’re just talking men’s golf here so so imagine how Bleak and dystopian and cynical the LPGA coverage gets right and and and what’s going on on that side of the fence it’s it’s horrible TC I’m with you these people are are are awful I I feel like they’re doing a disservice to the game of golf and we can save some we’ll save some of this for the Sunday show this was more of a teaser into that but that’s all to say LPGA will not be live for the first three rounds on television this week they’ll be only on peacock and tape delay coverage yeah and then uh they threw up a hill Mar and threw them on CNBC for the final round from three to five on Su something urgent two hours of live coverage on CNBC this Sunday as Nelly goes for sixth consecutive Victory um but we’re just trying to grow the game as Sam fled said um and I’m sure at you they would love to have it on on the television on one of his two clubs but it’s just not going to be POS it’s just not possible in instead we’re going to watch the regions tradition uh and the Myrtle Beach tournament uh this weekend and uh yeah and also like I like James kogan James if you’re gonna be the media analyst or critic for golf.com like you need to do a better job of asking tough questions about this stuff and not treating NBC with kid gloves like that was a pretty disappointing use of your well it just and I don’t even know if that’s James fault or not but I read that and I’m just like man there’s just not a lot like what am I taking away from that there just wasn’t a lot of meat there PR statements right it’s just it it we’ve had a lot of a lot of credible sources that understand what’s going on behind the scenes here say like you guys are spot on with this you’re spot on like there there our budget cuts going Dave sh’s piece was spot on like it’s not like this is [ __ ] fake news FL like this is this was probably one of the most well sourced things possible and you’re hearing it from players you’re hearing it from current and former employees of NBC golf channel you’re hearing it from people at the tour you’re hearing it from people at the PGA of America the USGA it’s it’s like nobody’s making this stuff up and the product speaks for itself it’s ass have some pride uh Taylor gu among Live players that have been invited to the PGA Champion you’re exactly right it’s you’re exactly right TC uh Patrick Reed Dean berm Lucas Herbert Adrien [ __ ] David puj all invited you guys surprised by this at all uh it was a little weird that like usen played really really well like la like end of last year and they just extended an invite to you know now I think that and he’s basically like no like I got prior commitments I’m not going to play which uh I don’t know I I’m not surprised by it I think it’s I think it’s probably the the right call overall uh maybe a little bit surprised by the the breadth of it you know the number of guys and I would say also yeah like I I’m not sure guc deserves it either I don’t think gu’s had a great season on live yet and for him to basically come out and say no I don’t care about playing in the US Open like I’m not g to try to qualify or the British Open then like [ __ ] you man yeah he is his best finish in a major is T14 uh at the Masters but at least of course as has been pointed out by many this this will not have an aster on the PGA Championship it is PGA go ahead no sorry I was just going to say I will say Taylor gu and seeing how he plays like I’m interested in that that’s that’s something that I look forward to seeing um and you’ve swung me Randy I’m I’m glad gu is in the field but it’s also the PGA is is the weakest of the four majors and needs a bit of an identity and like with the players opening it does have the best field in golf like it that and embracing that kind of going more off of I don’t not saying they use this but going more off a data golf thing to fill out they have a ton of invites that go out based on world rankings like filling out with the best players in the world that’s one thing now this is not I don’t think this signals like a a shift amongst it’s not a shift away from the owgr PJ Championship is part of you know PJ of America is part of the owgr board that comes up with the owgr doesn’t change Masters invites doesn’t change US Open exemptions doesn’t change British Open it is a oneof one of like they they’ve extended a lot of inv fight in the past uh and I don’t have a problem it it creates the you know I I I don’t want like the 150th ranked player on the PJ tour to get in just ahead of live guys I I do think like Live players are not playing in qualified events I still strongly believe in that but that doesn’t mean that they’re not still very capable golfers and don’t deserve the invites so and there’s a Tim whing from corn fairy tours y you know I think that’s a good exemption as well but if all right if he’s in then you should look to Asian tour and live for you you know other guys that are playing well I think man I I want NBC to call the tours Bluff on the edge of on the owgr stuff and basically say all right you know what the owgr is [ __ ] we’re gonna take this to court and try to get out of our our tour contract that’d be best for everybody yeah we all win yeah yeah they’re gonna go ruin the NBA they’re gonna kill Inside the NBA like that freaking sucks we can talk about that another time I think Discovery time I think they’re going to I think Z is going to going to call the bluff there and I think they’re going to stay in the game with the NBA and and I think NBC is going to stay shut out there uh on the announcement front episode four of season N9 of tus SAU is going to air tonight on our YouTube channel 900m Eastern we will be there live in the comment section again uh we hope to see everybody there uh also a bit of breaking news if you got your ESPN press release today we are going to be back with an ALT broadcast this year we are making it to linear TV we will be on ESPN 2 uh for a PGA Championship watch on Thursday and Friday 1 pm. Eastern to 3 pm Eastern it’s exactly what it sounds like we’re going to watch the golf and say the same dumb stuff that we say to each other just without the without the expletives without the expletives on linear TV espe on live TV we’ve made that promise uh uh then we’ll also be on 9:00 am to 11:00 a. on Saturday and Sunday that’ll be on ESPN plus um and I believe ESPN plus as well on the ESPN two days it’ll be simoc cast I believe on there so uh double the action this year uh compared to last year but we are pumped uh to be back we working with Omaha Productions on that and uh it’s GNA be really fun we had a lot of fun doing it last year and can’t wait to do it again and then tomorrow and th and Friday do I have it right that Randy and Cody will be doing live coverage of the founders on ESPN plus as well what are you guys windows for that we we know Thursday tomorrow morning is going to be 10:30ish Eastern uh we’re going to pick up the Nelly Corda back nine her opening round and then Friday we don’t know for sure yet I don’t know Cody maybe afternoon but we can share that on socials um and then we have a a specific LPGA podcast dropping late tonight overnight into tomorrow we have a wonderful conversation with Maya Stark and just some quick preview stuff with with Founders and also looking back at uh WI Wilshire Wilshire that’s going to do it for our happy hour show I thought we were G to talk live trade deadline thought that was what the show no no no no hour hour we’re five minutes long I tried my best to move us along we could not do it Cody thank you for running the ones and twos thank you to high noon thank you to robach thank you to FanDuel and thank you to Johnson Wagner for popping in out of the bullpen we will see you tonight for tourus sauce Premiere we’ll be back live on Sunday day to recap uh this past week in golf thanks to High Noon as well so thanks everybody for tuning in we’ll see you then

  1. Would make sense for 🐅 to play LIV – set tee off times, 3 rounds, fewer events, global reach for his brand

  2. Pretty amusing when this guy claims that Quail is the "Augusta of the PGA Tour." Hilarious. I like Charlotte even though the airport sucks and actually getting to Quail can be a nightmare.

  3. I won’t hear any smack talk on George Cobb courses. I play Cobb courses called Greenwood country club and the world famous Star Fort golf club. Nothing like em’

  4. TC with great point. Why should PGA be responsible for a global tour? PGA mission is literally in the name PGA of America. Let them focus on tournament golf in America. And someone more capable for world golf

  5. Really appreciate strapped boy randy taking charlotte to task in the beginning, potentially the most csuite centric stop on tour

  6. A bunch of hillbillies are ruining golf. The ATP Tour's destinations include Monte Carlo, Madrid, and Rome, while the PGA Tour, within the same time span, consists of Myrtle Beach (the Monte Carlo of the US), San Antonio, and McKinney, Texas. My god. Golf fans who want to see Royal Melbourne, Sunningdale, Hirono, Valderrama, etc., are instead blessed with Webb Simpson at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, courtesy of the PGA Tour and Cantlay. I mean, it's their prerogative to stay put in the US; after all, it's an American Tour that many foreign players have enjoyed. However, they are not playing at great courses close to great cities (venues matter); they are playing at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. An absolute bunch of boring hillbillies with no sense of gravitas nor significance. A shambles.
