Golf Girl vs Dad – Stableford Match (Part 2)

It is a tight match so far, if you did not see Part 1 then go take a look.

Cassie has been playing nicely, with just a single hiccup.

Coach is on 18 points and Cassie is on 17 points – so much to play for on part 2, which is holes 1-9 on the Gold Coast course.

Let’s see who can win? (in the last match up Cassie stole through to win the Matchplay but will the stableford points format provide her with the advantage or will Coach be able to hold on?

hi guys welcome back to L golf with Cassie this is part two of our stable food match coach Dad off six me off 15 and I’m off the red te’s today if you haven’t seen the front nine part one check it out up there um playing pretty good Cassie’s been playing nicely just had one or so wobble but good stuff and I think the good stuff is going to continue on the next nine so keep watching okay so this is actually the front nine but we’re playing it reverse order it’s a little hybrid for me just to get myself down there Cassie’s hting driver with her drawer that’s going to be absolutely perfect down the middle she’s got an ATI here from about 130 she’s just blocked it out to the right that’s going to be bunker I’ve done the exact same thing I was expecting it to draw with the uphill line that I had sort of above my feet now this is going to be a really quite spectacular shot it’s about 35 40 yards bunk shot hardest shot in golf they say not always not when you can play the ball like that I mean that is in incredible really so a little tap in for four I’ve got a chip just get it a little bit too much Pace there and it rolls out so I’m putting for my four and uh not really very close at all so I walk off with a five on that hole we putting the scores and the stable for points at the bottom right hand of corner you can see the stroke index um I’ve actually hit driver there quite a nice one down the middle Cassie hit there we a nice drive there also so we are in the driving seat on this hole it’s not a long par 4 but it’s got OB right OB left so you can’t be Wayward this is a fabulous Tempo that is the shot um that we love Cassie playing and it lands nice and softly it’s not thumped so it doesn’t run out too much we like that I’ve got about 80 yards and I’ve aimed it to the middle of the green and worked out nicely both of us have good uh birdy chances from about 10 to 15 ft see if one of us can make a birdie I’ve been putting fairly fairly well um but not on this occasion just leave it short tap in for the par now Cassie has made another good roll I mean check out this I mean that was very good effort just moved a lot right to left at the end there onto the um third hole it’s a path three wind is what makes this one difficult I got a good stroke on that and uh on the green for a change Cassie’s got about 125 I think she’s taking an a here and uh she’s put a great move on there halfway closer to the hole than my one so she’s made two pars already in a row we’re pting for our third consecutive par I’ve got a bit of work to do on mine still this green has been air rated or CED so there’s little bumps in there another good part just drift past but um cleans up nice and aggressively three Pars in a row now so that’s really good I’ve just had two dog leg Par Four I’ve taken three with for safety and then just blocked it but it’s okay Cassie’s hit another raking drawer up the middle so another great drive there from Cassie um I’ve got I think about 100 yards taking us 52 I’m about one foot from perfect Cassie’s got about 90 at this point she’s swinging really nicely I mean look at that on the green got our another look at a birdie I feel very confident around this around this distance release one and then stopping whole side knock that in with my wedge so I got par there this is a nice stroke very good par easy tapping so that’s four consecutive pars Cassie I think is now ahead in a stable foot I’m holding on to the carts I don’t fly away the wind is just we the wind has just come up massively probably about really picked up and it’s like spitting water 30 m hour now from absolutely n none on the front line so we’re now on path five stroke index I get shot say it’s Cassie of course it’s blowing a gale Cassie is almost blown into the OB um we’re just lucky it just held on uh um I’ve just choked down on a hybrid to make sure I get good contact through that Gap Cassie’s gone with a 79 I like the play here just to make sure that it’s safe it’s a great finish I’m really enjoying that and another good swing here so this is par five and she’s about 50 short in three this is to get on in regulation so punch up there just digs its heels in before it gets on the green now I like the uh Tempo Cass he’s got on this swing you watch that a nice high finish it lands and sticks a little bit of of its heels in there so I’ve got that for birdie I don’t mind tapping that distance of par now cass’s got the quick downhill and she just gives it a wee bit too much and that runs on down that Hill massively so now she’s coming back up the hill where oh I mean she’s nudged it on the edge but she’s made double there par three here I’ve hit a good one at 180 five iron middle of the green see we got a bit of rain here Cassie’s only got about 100 here and she’s kind of like popped underneath it so it’s come up really short but another nice chip or pitch this uh green has been CED so some funny bounces but I’ll take that for an easy par Cassie’s got her chance for par here not quite committed but you can see it bobbling away from the the holes that are in this green yep and so we come to the seventh now I’m taking three wood just to make sure I keep it nicely in the middle I don’t mind being a bit further back as long as I have a fairway shot Cassie absolutely Stripes this one down the middle of the Fairway I’ve just punched an a iron in should be there there abouts now this is the death shot there’s an OB down the left she’s had to take a drop this is now her fifth out of nothing so that’s her fifth she’s got one down the hill now tough one and uh I’ve done the release one knock that one in so this is for the double and from absolutely nowhere she’s managed to make a seven with with one really just one bad shot so we’ve had double bogy and triple we’re on the par five that’s a great drive I’m going taking the corner on not bad line but didn’t quite get enough height on it so I’m going to clip a tree I think on the way down take Cassie looks at the LIE makes the determination that this is a seven iron and sticks it right down the middle she’s only got a wedge left good play I’ve got 79 here just punching it out turning it round forward to the green so we go both in good position here she’s got I think a pitching wedge here bit of a low skinny one that we’ve had a little bit all day today check out part one for a couple she had there and talking skinny oh my goodness I was trying to lob one in there and just bladed it and I’ve got an absolute Pig of a lie here but just concentrating 52 release one pop it to the front it’ll roll up to flag level put me in with a chance for my par this is for Cassie for birdie she’s got an uphill then downhill she over reads the uphill and just spanks it um not her finest part of the day about 15 ft uphill now it’s extraordinarily slow now and uh she doesn’t give it enough ping back so she’s got this tricky three footer for for a six but six on this par five not too worried about that it’s not bad um can I make the par thankfully yes after that well we went a bit of an adventure there didn’t we my third shot I try to play the release 2 and softly land it onto the uh the green there and bladed and then and then the next shot I play Release one and uh perfect so still a bit of work to be done on my release 2 action okay well done Cassie for making that last part okay so on the last hole stableford should be close if you’ve been following it in the bottom right hand corner we’re not entirely sure I’ve hit a good one down the middle though and Cassie has ripped the best Drive of the day that has got to be 230 240 all carry um I’ve got 100 left just take a a nice easy 52 that works out really nicely actually get it to stop which is quite unusual on this hole Cassie has hit awesome shot and she’s got about 55 60 which is a tricky distance really on this hole she plays it nice and high I really like the swing there it just lands a few yards short um very close to being amazing she’s doing the release one here but she uses a pitching wedge I think maybe she could have used the gap wedge it wouldn’t quite roll out it didn’t get much spin so it rolled out a little bit too much with pitching wedge but chance for par here as long as she’s putting for par all the time she’s going to have a good round Bogies are not going to kill her on a 15 handicap it’s those triples and doubles my birdie flies away thanks for watching this video guys we hope you enjoyed it um I think coach dad won on the stableford point but
