the blue monster at Dural it’s a real test and it provides some thrilling contests describe Dural in one word brutal tough challenging tricky treacherous monster two words very difficult agonize it’s long you have to put it on the faway there’s always wind oh there’s water everywhere nasty grass around the greens the penalty for a Miss is so great when the wind picks up basically all the things that make a golf course hard is right here this doesn’t look like much fun it’s my first time playing here and I don’t think the camera shows how windy it is so currently this might be the hardest golf course on the planet it can make you look like an idiot every hold is a chance for you to make a bogey or worse it doesn’t give you a lot of room for air what a bunker shot to have to face you have to do everything well if you’re just a little bit off your game here it’s going to take your lunch mine there’s just no l up you can never really calm down don’t see that often definitely the highest hole out here is 18 18 18 it’s ridiculous oh my God such a dangerous hole you just need to have the ball stand up and hit it it’s just such a good test you can’t fake it round he when you win a d you earn it and it feels [Music] good facing Dural and the blue monster would challenge the entire field Stinger gc’s Dean burm look to the Comforts of home to provide extra support going into round [Music] one nothing like an espresso in the morning huh Jordy just down the road we got Brandon Grace Charles kind of 15 minutes that way so yeah we all get together often good job buddy sherff Woody I mean it’s all happening in here start getting ready to go man both clubs already in ready to fly we made the sacrifice and came out of here and it’s been an adjustment you know moving to America and and moving to kind of the Jupiter area is really cool y yo yo the so nice of you guys to join us I normally go fasting you know yeah true told you I going to catch quickly it’s a tough course man if anybody shoots 600 or better it doesn’t matter in the conditions of the day like I mean you’re going to be jumping not only individually you’re going to be flying in the team event you’ll be helping your team so much it’s going to be a really good test and I want to kind of drive my my driving stats up and limit my mistakes as much as possible the goal is to kind of not only get a an individual win for myself but a team win we want to be tending come the final team event the Masters were a mere 6 days away success at dalal’s Blue Monster could be a launching point for one of the 13 players heading to Augusta and seven pass Champions looking to add another Green Jacket to their collection we’re here in Miami this week uh important to play well to uh to get some good momentum hopefully this course here at Dural is an awesome chance to get sharp for Augusta because me you’ve got to be so focused on every shop it’s just I mean the Masters it’s always going to be special for me you know being a pass champ John ROM of course defends his title I mean you going back as part of a very selective group of people who can be called owner of of a green jacket I wouldn’t say extra pressure I mean obviously you’re defending so it’s a little bit different but golf is a game in which you have to prove it constantly right so that’s a really change defending Masters champion and Legion 13 Captain John rth was still searching for his first live title he would need to be in top form to conquer the course at Durado let’s get it [Music] started oh P he’s been in winning positions early in his Li Golf League career John Ram without sealing the deal but four top 10 finishes so far and he is two underpar one off the lead here in Miami it’s going to have some spin on it oh switch from three-point land right there we have a new leader a smiling John ROM gets to four under par smash GC Captain Brooks kka finished second at Augusta in 2023 he and caddy Ricky Elliott were working on navigating Dural in round one it was a great shot was a right shot this don’t even know where it is no I could tell you it’s long like if you go bit over your if you go right your like a [Music] layout that was a good job you did have on that man I don’t cuz I did everything I wanted you can’t tell me on the T box you went hands prod yeah like that perfect two-time Masters champion and range goat’s Captain Bubba Watson was in vintage form in round one and leading the range goats to that top of that team leaderboard he was just trying to hoist that one as high in the sky as he could and he did it so very well the range GES led by Bubba Watson dominance on the opening day 13 under par at the end of round one smash gc’s Taylor G defending Liv individual Champion was leading the pack Taylor G has got himself into contention early on here at live golf Miami he played for it and what a beautiful shot that’s an amazing shot from such a difficult position for the outright lead Taylor guci is providing a not so subtle reminder of who is the reigning Liv Golf League [Music] champion before play for round two began 4 AC’s captain and 2020 Masters champion Dustin Johnson got in an early morning workout and prepared to meet the physical challenges presented at Dural like always train I was kind of sporadic with my training y you know I do it really good for two months and then I might take two months off yeah I I never I’ll never forget it was like Saturday morning and Dustin and I were in our place in Jupiter and we’re sitting on the floor and we just finished this part of the routine okay and he goes we got to take it up and Notch I’m going to be number one in the world and I’ll never forget it from that time on he never stopped and sure enough it [Music] happened too the more you train him here the better you feel more confident you’re going to be out there you know it it definitely has an [Music] effect as the for AC’s Captain began round two searching for a second live individual title of 2024 Legion 13 began the quest for their second team title of the Season T Hatton has climbed the py on to seven under par this is great news for Legion [Music] 13 Kieran Vincent that’s his fourth shot at the [Music] first leg 13 just Goring into that range go lead wonderful shot and the range goats have been reigned in by Legion 13 in the team contest both 20 under the par Fireballs Captain Sergio Garcia claimed his green jacket in 2017 but he had yet to win a lived golf title after a playoff defeat in mayakoba Garcia was focused on changing his Fortunes in Miami he so wants to get his first live golf [Music] win oh Brilliance on the blue monster greens from Sergio Garcia three under par today eight under par overall and that is a lead of two he is zoned in blemished free on the blue monster no less he’s got himself into positions before can he close it [Music] out oh yes Sergio the clench fist what a champion nine underp he’s going to take the lead it’s a champion ionship Sunday seeking his first ever live golf title it’s always nice to finish with the birdie and when you have the lead even more felt like I played very nicely on the front line I’ve been closed several time so one day to go it’s it’s going to be a long day this this course is very demanding uh so you know you have to be you have to be very committed to to what you’re doing and uh you know hopefully I’ll be able to do that tomorrow thank you now thanks for helping out this is great to see we’re on the lead but it’s a lot of a lot of work to be done we’ve seen some interesting Sundays and three shots when all four scores counts is a matter of 2 minutes right so uh hopefully we can come out tomorrow and and all four of us put in a a good performance [Music] [Music] the fireworks began early in round three as Sergio Garcia took to the course at Durado with a two-shot lead determined to hold off the field and win his first live golf title there’s Sergio Garcia what a huge huge day for him Championship Sunday is underway can Sergio close it out there are so many really great players behind him one of those players The Stingers Dean burmister immediately put pressure on Garcia dean burmister of stinger GC chasing a first li golf title for birdie at one what a start it’s one of those momentum players de b as starts at Championship Sunday birdie birdie and he is level at the top of the pylon with Sergio Garcia on under power Garcia with confidence on the Greeks fought back the early charge Serio to reclaim the lead well Sergio snaps back immediately and he regains the lead Legion 13 leaders in that team competition felt the pressure mountain and lost their fo in the early moments of round three everyone knows I struggled off the tea it was pretty easy to to drop shots that’s left we definitely made it hard for ourselves we had a comfortable lead and I made some mistakes we all made some mistakes on the stretch that out break right you could see the scores um and you could see our lead depleting very rapidly well we’re turning this into a dumpster far is this a little wobble for Legion 13 Peter Uline at 16 for birdie for the range goats it’s not done it really is not done yet the lead is only three as Legion 13 looked to maintain their tenuous grasp of the team lead the individual race was just as tight between Sergio Garcia and Dean bur burm has played some incredible golf Dean burer to take the lead on 11on yes one drops for Dean to the Delight of the South Africans here in Miami they were like 15 guys just randomly pitched up there all in South African colors with flags and started cheering me [Applause] on they were so vocal and that carried me it was just super special to have that kind of [Applause] support Garcia to tie the lead now you feel this really is his moment to seize the opportunity and the momentum Sergio still grinding still trying to grasp Glory here in Miami Dean bur for the lead want today total control over this club oh it could be deep day yet he’s playing beautifully he allows himself a smile Dean burer the South Africans in the crowd are absolutely loving this he’s 12 and the par he leads by one there was no avoiding the drama at Dural Legion 13 with their lead dwindling looked to their Captain to keep their title hopes alive Legion 13 led by as many as nine shots at one stage that lead is down to one it was a bit crazy to see cuz I remember looking at the scoreboard just because I wanted to know what we needed a lot of pressure now on the shoulders of Captain John Rob I’m sure he knows how important this could be for his team like okay it’s a fast part of that easy let me L it out there and see what happens oh this should be could be the winner that could be the defining moment for the team title the captain rolls one in from distance John RS Legion 13 lead by two it would take a complete team effort if Legion 13 was to be victorious in Miami Kieran Vincent had a single putt that would either secure Victory or set off Liv’s first ever team playoff if Kieran Vincent misses this we will have a team player for the first time in live golf history Kieran Vincent will be well aware of the gravity of this situation well on Legion 13 have won their second team Title by a single shot the team title was secured but the individual title hung in the balance on the 17th hole Sergio Garcia had all the pressure as he lined up a putt to draw even with burmister with a single hole remaining 30 put at 17 [Music] yes he can oh boy Sergio Garcia when he needed it the most he is 12 on the bar he’s level with Dean berm who has found trouble at 18 I heard the roar behind me and I realized Sergio had obviously done something and the cameraman was shouting do you want to know what Serio done do you want to know what Ser you done and I said no I really don’t want to know what he done that’s not going to influence what I’m going to do right now so if you don’t mind I’m I’m just going to get on with it he knows he has to make this to have the [Music] chance wow wow that is just a product of the moment right there yeah now then Dean burm for bogy drops to 11 under par and hands the advantage to Sergio Garcia who has the 18th to play he leads by one a par would just about seal Victory here the Liv golf Miami Title in his own hands on 18 is Alia Enzo looking on the stage is set for Sergio Garcia this for par and for victory [Music] the [Applause] hole outright victory in regulation slits through the grasp of Sergio Garcia it’ll be a playoff with Dean burmister my son he’s watching the big screen with me and he missed and he starts fist pumping and going crazy my 8-year-old boy Jordan so yeah that was super cool moment for me I got in the golf CT and my caddy said to me this is what we practice for this is why we stand on the Range so let’s go onto that tea with a good attitude and just rip it let’s just do the best we can well Ser Jo has been here before not quite in these circumstances he lost a playoff to Taylor G in Singapore last year to wo Neiman in Mexico can he do it is it third time looking for Sergio in a playoff against Dean berm Just Another Sunday in the live golf league [Music] as had been the story throughout round three bur and Garcia refused to give an inch there was little room for error but one thing was certain as they teed off again at 18 a firsttime Liv golf champion would be crowned [Music] he hit it and a little bit left of the flag and as it was mid-flight you know Jason M caddy said that’s in the water oh it’s got to go it’s got to go oh it’s wet oh that really changes things for Dean yeah it’s fine shot advantage bister on playoff hole number two ad Dural stood over that thinking of all those times I was a you know little kid on a putting green putting to beat Tiger Woods or Sergio or all these guys that you grow up watching and idolizing and I had that moment I had that chance that thing I dreamed of and it was super super surreal and special wife Mel looks on Dean B has won a battle royale on the blue monster it’s playoff heartbreak for a third time for Sergio Garcia well done and Dean burm is soaking up the moment they started singing a song sh sh Loza which is a fling song my son looked at me and I looked at him and he was like okay I could see in his eyes he’s going to run with me if I go he’s going and I just started to make a line straight to them and just wanted to thank them because that support and them shouting out for me the whole way was was something that kind of pulled me through it gives you that adrenaline I just wanted to thank them for the effort they made to be [Applause] there it’s obviously special you know I wanted to come here and compete and and win tournaments and now to done that it it proves that you know I made the right decision to come and I’m I’m super happy to win at at a place like this you know with so much history and it’s so tough and and against the field that that live are putting out you know so many of the best players in the world I’m super excited and obviously happy for my whole team and everybody’s hard work that we’ve put in um over the years it’s it’s been a long road but this this is worth it hey buddy you want to hold it it’s heavy heavy hold it yeah there you go smile oh nice heav good job bud this time it was a bit a battle we had a seven shot lead then he went away then it was one then it was two and then it was one again so it was a bit more stressful but we’re glad we got it done you know it’s not an easy Golf Course to win in and uh proud of everybody here for for figh till the end there was a lot of hype going into the week knowing how hard it was going to be you know so I think learning how to deal with those mental expectations was something different that I’ve kind of had to adapt to and you know I say I did a good job you can make Bogies out of nowhere and it kind of feels like no lead is is safe um it got very close at the end but ultimately it’s a nice bounce back after you know we finished last in Hong Kong and as a team it’s a it’s a great result I think the team did so well throughout the whole week to stay like present stay in it and kind of put their best out there and so it was just awesome to kind of seal the moment with that last butt and just um be victorious here sorry Bryson Crushers there you go blow your nose if you want back on top lucky you’re doing a little step ladder
