let me ask you this question Chris I’m making you a Green Bay Packer fan as much as you love the New England Patriots oh please do this for me cool okay do I get ownership you are now you are now the same way I’m a Packer fan no you’re you’re you’re you a Packer fan yes I’m an owner so I can’t be a fan no so but no but you are you’re you’re this ownership ownership this means so much to your one piece of pet rock that you have on your w got it exactly two in total you’re all Packers fans you excited about the way Jordan love plays right now as well you should right I’m speaking on your behalf yeah pumped love and you got it all and you got him for is Cho is bright yes what if I told you what if I told you what if I told you exactly what if I told you yeah the draft choice you used on Jordan love could have been used for a player to help Aaron roders win a Super Bowl in his two years of being the MVP quarterback that he became and he was going to be that guy no matter what there’s Not Like Jordan love lit the fuse as if Rogers needed a fuse lit but let’s just say the guy that they used on that draft choice on instead of Jordan love put one in the case because Rogers did would you still be up for it Jordan love right now yes or no who’s my quarterback right now not Jordan love that stinks yep they already won one right there’s one extra one in the case an extra one we already got feel winning Rogers won another one he got a second and he and he you know he won another one you want to answer it while he still sits there and than I’ll take one of them things you’d rather that right one of them things how how do they help them win though cuz I saw them play in the playoffs and they weren’t really built to win in the playoffs or play in cold weather which is weird cuz they a cold weather outdoor team that is not I’m I’m telling you they win one you’re just telling me they won they would have won and the player that they used the draft choice on was Plug and Play he plugged in and was a crucial member of a championship team as opposed to the guy quite the hypothetical that sat there yeah this what’s fun it’s hypothetical but it’s possible and this is part of a conversation that is Germain to the moment I’m asking you the question and the qu you don’t have the quarterback of the future right now winning a Super Bowl is awesome and that’s what it’s about but you want to feel that as great as possible but you also don’t want to be what New England’s been the last 5 years and it’s just one correct crappy quarterback after another like what are we doing back in the roulette and then you’re picking like six to 10 for the that’s no fun either well you didn’t you drafted one it was doing pretty well and then things kind of went a little South but let’s not let’s not again you guys are the king of of hey when now or rather would get blown out rather would get blown out than get my heart ripped out at the end which is a hypothetical that makes no sense to me I’m now giving one that clearly doesn’t make much sense to you but it is the truth if the Packers chose someone instead of Jordan love to help Aaron roders and that player did in fact do that what the TR to help them put one in the case all right can I give you something you still would you can I throw a hypothetical back to you would you no no no I need my I just need my answer two picks later the Ravens took Patrick Queen let’s say the Packers took Patrick Queen I guess is this what you say instead so they took Pat They drafted Patrick Queen instead or somebody I’m just I know that I know that it’s just anybody I’m just trying to everyone I mean you always want to win a Super Bowl you want a trophy but what but what if Jordan love wins two Super Bowls then he’s better than Rogers yeah it’s like so then it was the right pick I guess we’ll have to find that one out one day but I’m just asking you right now you got one in the case and you have 10 years of Hope because that’s what the Falcons are talking about but then the Packers they’re set they’re set once Ro once we’re not even going to do what we have to do to win with Kirk Cousins which is draft someone help him right now no no no we’re going to look over the steering wheel I think it’s pretty obvious they fell in love with pennx after they signed cousins is it well if if it wasn’t then they should be fired okay so I don’t know when you know the same guys that all put that all put their top three coaches on a piece of paper and one of the names wasn’t Bill bich why don’t you just tell me the name of the movie you want to see you know like when did you fall love with bottom line is you could have somebody to help him now and that guy could have helped him now romad dun certainly could have helped that’s all I’m saying yeah I mean it’s it’s but you’re playing the long game I mean you’re when you’re signing says you’re not catch the rich eyes and show every single day on the Roku Channel 12 to 3 Eastern for free

  1. I’m so sick of hearing about this Penix pick. Does he have nothing else to talk about? Get over it at this point. It’s beating a dead horse

  2. I need to know who was there at 8 that was going to move the needle for the Falcons this year? I stand with the pick.

  3. Falcons want to have their cake and eat it too. Penix doesn’t help them in 2024 and maybe not even 2025. Prepare for the future but also win now with Cousins. They deserve all the flack even if it’s understandable that they wanted to protect the future

  4. Id rather not be the Jets. Joe Namath and then oblivion. Id rather be in the championship game every year, one player away for 30 years than 4-13 for 30.

  5. If Cousins is their plan to win a SB, then you need to draft to win a SB. If they're looking to rebuild for a run in the future, then draft Penix at 8. Signing both Cousins and drafting Penix shows that the Falcons have no clue what they are trying to do

  6. You could’ve drafted a WR in the second round which is what GB is good at, and for some reason they didn’t do it. Aside from Jordan Love the 2020 draft class was not that good for the Packers, and I love AJ Dillon. He ain’t worth a second round pick tho.

  7. Rodgers is know for his bias on veteran receivers, he wouldn't even look at Higgins if he's was in that Tampa game. It's hard to admit as a Packer fan but late career Rodgers is a playoff choker…

  8. If a team has a QB within a few years of retiring, they should draft a QB, if they feel he could be a generational talent. Why? because who knows when they will have another opportunity to get another true difference-maker at the position.

  9. So many people are trying to justify the Falcon's actions so as not to insult the FO or the coaching staff, which I get. But tbh, the pick is just cowardly. "We aren't going all in with Cousins OR with Penix. Instead we'll hedge are bets and make sure we make the playoffs a few times, and probably go nowhere. That way we all keep our jobs."

  10. The Packers were never one pick away, but in this hypothetical situation, how is there any debate? You always take the trophy, that's the point of everything a team works towards.

If you told the average fan, "Hey, every 10-15 years your team WILL get a ring, but in-between they'll fluctuate between average and terrible", I think most jump at that.

  11. This is just such a waste of mental energy… 1) you have to assume that the Falcons can identify said "difference maker" on Defense when they passed on Johnny Newton at 35 — and, btw, haven't really succeeded in this area in about 15 years. 2) if you believe ATL when they say they tried to trade back into the 1st for Latu or Turner… well why didn't they get HOU's pick (23) back in Feb or whenever the Vikes did? 3) Let's say they got in and took Latu… ok, you gave up 2025 1st for a guy that might medically retire in 5 years. You might lose 2026 1st for tampering (NFL isnt punishing your trade partner). What's your 2026 QB room look like? 38 y/o Cousins?

  12. I don't think Penix/Cousins is the same simply because the Falcons weren't in a position to draft a player to help Cousins and win the Super Bowl. The Falcons are just hoping to make the playoffs. They stink. The Packers had been in the NFC title game the year before. One player could have been the difference between a super bowl or not. Can't say that for the Falcons.

  13. Kirk has a few good years left, as long as his achilles heals up. The falcons are going to win games this year if that happens. Why not take a qb of the future, they arent going to be picking that high again presumably for a while. Let him get his feet wet and trade kirk when penix is ready…

  14. Always curious why cj has this job? He's like useless and just pointless. He has no take on anything

  15. The simple question is do you want to focus on Winning Now when you got a Veteran QB you just paid a huge contract or do you want to gamble in the Draft & use your 1st Round Picks on a QB that you want know is NFL material for 5-6 years? People acting like Penix is a sure thimng are being dishonest because it's not as simple as Drafting a QB & things working out. Penix is gonna have to play for 1-2 years before anyone knows if he's NFL material. Personally id rather focus on Winning Now than hoping a QB works out after the guy I just brought on leaves. We are talking about having a roster spot that won't see the field in regular season games who hasn't even proven there a legit NFL backup.

  16. Always remember that Chris Brockman was the guy who said that Mac Jones was a Top Ten quarterback after his rookie season. Remember that. 🤷🏻‍♂️🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

  17. The Falcons are not one defensive player away from winning the Super Bowl though and Cousins is not a QB most people can see winning a SB either

  18. If the Packers didn't draft Love they would have traded back and got Higgins at the end of the round. They may still have gotten Love in the 2nd depending on what they got in the trade.

  19. Is he going to name that player? I agree that's what they should have done – but now you're doing it in hindsight saying "what if" – who is the player? There has to be one for this to be a legitimate conversation.

  20. Ohhhhh….if Love wins two he's better than Rodgers? Well….then….by THAT logic, EVERYONE (who thinks that way) should AGREE with me that Brett Favre is better than Rodgers. Funny how so few recognize that, though. But no, number of Super Bowls doesn't (AUTOMATICALLY) make one better…..but I think Jordan Love is already as good as Aaron Rodgers. Brett Favre is top-10, all-time. Rodgers is MAYBE top-50.
