what an incredible like you didn’t expect this the way it happened you tell me this is interactive time together is professional golf in trouble or is it not in trouble is the PGA in trouble the PGA Tour is live golf in trouble what’s what can we learn from what we saw this past weekend thanks for watching thanks for supporting the channel by the way I really appreciate it and make sure you if you haven’t done already I really appreciate it if you subscribe to the channel and hit the Bell if you wish also if you would do this last thing I’m going to ask is share this video with two people easy just send it to two people say hey you need to listen to this guy appreciate it I do it for you send me something I’ll share it rock and roll okay here we go so the PGA Tour um Rory maroy and uh Shane Lowry win in um Louisiana so they win the team event and first off little side note here with all the hate that Liv got from these uh Golf Channel reporters or whatever you want to call them hating on the team format of live they sure love the team format when the PGA Tour does it so it’s just bizarre then what’s funny is it’s so rare and it’s so Random these teams it’s just kind of friends and you could play with this guy or that guy and uh you know it’s it’s just Biz remember Matt Fitzpatrick played with his brother like it kind of you can look at that uh the you know a couple year a year ago or whatever like and say oh that’s not right like he but you could do kind of whatever you want which is good and it gives these kind of lesser known players uh an opportunity which almost happened unfortunately dude just miss I mean he missed he kind of fan that that sad but whatever Rory and Shane killed it I mean they they they grinded it through so congrats on them but the big story is live golf in adelay Australia what an experience this event in Australia was kind of like the waste management uh of golf for Australia it shows us a number of things one is they had like nearly 100,000 fans out there supporting this tournament it was it was the most fan packed live event to date so congrats Australia they you guys show up and they they get professional golf on such a rare time it just doesn’t happen very often the PGA Tour doesn’t really do much like there’s not a whole lot going down there a President’s Cup what you know once or whatever but not much is happening in the world of kind of professional golf down in Australia and yet the fans support it like at at a unbelievable level there there are stories to guy guys driving 13 hours across Australia to come see this event because there’s just nothing like it so it was phenomenal it was a great time to watch I loved every minute they had the watering hole which was kind of like that Waste Management hole where they surround the whole uh hole with you know fans and stands so that was exciting and we have the first ever in the history of Liv team playoff we’ve been waiting for this for a long time the only thing we now want to see is an individual playoff and a team playoff at the same time because that’s another level because let’s say cam Smith was in the running for the individual title so he has a choice to make right so let’s say he’s the team captain he could say Okay myself and Lehman we’re going to go and we’re going to play for the team title and I’m going to not show up for the individual title he could do that or or he could say okay I’m going to go try to win the te the individual title and then leean and another teammate are going to go for the individ uh for the team title you could do that there’s a lot of different options there but that that would be pretty exciting so that’s if the team title one of the people on that team is vying for the individual title and it would be even better if you had both all the players in the individual title are part of the teams that are in the team playoff that’s that would be cool so regardless you have a team playoff so you’ve got the two Australians cam Smith Mark Lehman teaming up together and they’re going against the South Africans uh bminer and us tasen it’s exciting it was exciting and the weight of Australia is on the shoulders of Cam Smith and uh Mark leichman that was absolutely just I could feel the pressure I and I thought Us’s putt was going to go in but either way just phenomenal stuff from those guys congrats Liv did a just knocked it out of the ballpark I don’t know how I guess you know if you have some political thing with live I guess you can always hate right you can always do that but what they’re doing in golf and the way they bring it around the world to me is pretty exciting I think they’re doing a great job if I were playing on the LIF tour I could see how it could be a grind on some level traveling so far for each event like they were in Hong Kong then they come back to the US then they go to Australia then they go to Singapore then they come back to the US then they go to Spain so you’re bouncing all over the globe now they are flying private and it’s not that bad but it’s still uh jet lag time changes all kinds of crazy stuff that you got to deal with you’re bringing your family your kids your wife whatever so it gets to be a a grind but who you know I know it it’s tough to say that when they’re just cashing checks for millions and millions of dollars but they all aren’t not everybody is right like some of the people who get relegated out they’re not making a ton of money they’re getting taken care of while they’re on the season and they’re guaranteed you know a minimum but hey if you’re not making the league the following year that money is going to go quick cuz now you’re bouncing around on Asia tour or some other tour where you actually have to pay a ton of money so your money that you made on you know the bottom of the the rankings there is going to go quick so all the but okay I know we get it we’re not going to complain too much because they are making a good amount of money but needless to say I could see how it could become a grind are we going to see players want to bounce back to the PGA Tour I I don’t see that happening I think there is going to be an agreement we’ve talked about it we’ll get more in depth in future podcast because more information is coming out especially with what the PGA Tour announced giving money to guys like Tiger Woods 100 million I he could have made nearly a billion if he went over to live so I it’s very strange that they what they’re doing with how they’re allocating their ownership money stuff we’ll get into that in a future podcast because there’s a lot of interesting things coming but nonetheless is the PJ tour in serious trouble after this because this just shows now at these Live Events there’s a level of going to be competition for location so for example when they come out to Houston Live and Nashville the Nashville fans might say hey hey hey hey we could bring it like Adelaide same with Houston we could bring let when they go to Spain we could bring let’s bring up our game so that we don’t look like nothing compared to what Australia did I definitely can see that happening because Liv wants every event to be a party they want the music blaring they’re playing Bob Marley they’re playing Dire Straits on that first T box it’s electric when you’re there seeing it hearing it feeling the energy those guys are nervous I’m not going to say it’s like Ridder cup style but they are nervous at a different level than any other Tour event because there’s a packed first tea box and if you’re just a kind of a not very well-known player there’s only a few people that show up maybe you know on the first T box there might be a lot you could be walking the course with not very many people it’s not that big a deal here at Australia it’s mobed with tons and tons of people and I think we’re going to see that Trend continue because remember like on the PJ tour you got Waste Management it’s like one event a year we’re going to let you go wild and crazy right golfer’s gone wild that’s what it is and it gets it’s been getting out of hand there here Liv kind of says okay we’re going to let you go semi wild like let’s have a good party and enjoy Golf and you get that at about the right level of what you want no one’s going crazy no one’s streaking around the um you know whole running around with nothing on like nobody’s doing that they’re just enjoying respectfully enjoying the game while having a great time so that’s I think we’re going to see that Trend continue and Houston I think is going to be a pretty awesome event coming up and then now nville as well but what do you think did this show did this raise the game for the next stops or was just a oneoff Australia’s just get so little golf they’re going to go just nuts when they do get it I guess that remains to be seen but stay tuned make sure you subscribe because we have a lot of new information coming out all the time and I’m just letting it simmer I’m going through it I’m making sure things legit or not legit trying to check and double check information before we really get it out there because there’s a lot of wild things happening that are about to burst so we’re on it we’re on it for you guys thanks for listening subscribe leave your comments down below and we’ll see you really soon

  1. Australia has always produced great golfers, however the PGA has never really focused in on Australia they always thought we are a back water. It just shows the world we love our golf we back our players and we have brilliant golf clubs, so the word on the street is stuff the PGA they need to step up and now all we need is more tournaments down under and the involvement of the women’s golf as well.

  2. 2 person teams are way better and personal that 5 player teams, AND they’re playing together at the same time, that also makes it better.

  3. Is golf in trouble? No is the PGA in trouble, yes. There are a number of issues, firstly the number of advertisement’s, its every 5-10 shots, too many inane sections from commentators when we are tuned in to watch golf. YouTube channels are getting more viewers than some PGA events, LIV has its own app, that is watched globally in the time zone of the viewer, the LIV player stable have become active YouTubers reaching new audiences. PGA output is like the 1950’s golf club membership, not inclusive, they criticise other tours, criticise YouTube output as 2nd level, yet are not trying to grow the game with new audiences. So yes, the PGA viewership is getting older, and not being replaced. I tried to watch the Zurich, but just had to record it in order that i could zap through the ads, you only get 20 minutes golf in an hour of broadcast, that’s not watchable live. LIV is embracing ASIA, re connecting with Australia, playing in the UK, LIV is reaching out, trying to reach new audiences. I have heard Rory McIlroy is preparing his LIV team for 2025, he felt hung out to dry by the PGA, hence his recent comments supporting LIV, in advance of his team joining his pal Rahm and the rest.

  4. It's a world game not an American game and LIV is making that happen. PGA should not of snubbed other countries, and the way the PGA has handled this transition is just petty so now I dont follow a competition that I was a huge fan of. Do people actually believe that the 12.3 billion dollars that the pga is worth is all clients money? Seems to me like people are throwing stones in glass houses 🤷‍♂️⛳️

  5. Hey great content. I went to live golf last year at the watering hole Sunday. Witnessed the hole on one. Never forget it as I have in on video… Seriously if you want to go the the best golf/entertainment event in the world plan now for next year….. Great city, wine, arts beer etc…

  6. Been to Both PGA & LIV many times. Also use to work security for South Florida PGA events years ago. What a difference LIV is exciting that even my wife & daughter love to go to LIV events. Huge Difference

  7. When PGA stopped playing Doral when Trump became POTUS, I just could not believe. Then LIV came to Doral & I was introduced to the most Awesome Golf Experience out there!

  8. LIV bouncing from one country ro the next is no issue, look at what they do in F1 racing, now that is serious logistical grind 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  9. If golf was more affordable we would see the best athletes playing the game. But if it remains the same we’ll continue to get this stale product. It’s entertainment first then a game not the other way around. Jack was good at golf but had the personality of a rock. While Arnold,Lee,Chi Chi,Gary entertained the fans..

  10. I can't do it Matt. Just can't do it. Terrible. Is there an appetite for professional golf outside of the US? Absolutely! Emphatically yes!!! Is LIV the answer? No, I don't think so. It's not a real competition. Guys have already admitted to adjusting strategy based on the team environment. In an effort to make sure they don't screw up the team score. You can't have that in a real competition. Comparing LIV to the Zurich is like comparing apples and tomatoes. Yeah they're both red but not even remotely close to the same thing. Similar in the fact they are both red and that's about it. LIV is awful and I won't watch it. Greg Norman and his Saudi backers can suck it, period. I don't care who they sign up, I'm not watching it. Is pro golf in trouble? No, it's just changing. I read the comments like I don't know who most of these guys are now , or who is playing on the tour now. Well nobody really knew who Scottie Scheffler was before he went on a heater a few years ago. When he graduated from the Korn Ferry tour. Now everyone is in aww of his game. That's how pro golf works. Next man up. If you want to be star go out and win a bunch of times and you will be a star. Period. Nobody reports on who won the exhibition at the LIV event. It's ridiculous. Now if they get their respective act together LIV could be a real force, but the way it is now. No chance. Nobody is lining up to buy their merch with their horrible team names. Team golf has to answer the question of how do we connect on an emotional scale like other professional sports? Simple. You have to get the great courses on board to have their own teams to play against other great course teams. Like Pine Hurst versus Valhalla, Winged Foot versus Pebble Beach, so and so forth. That's how you get an emotional connection and sell tickets and merch like no tomorrow. Sports fans connect with their local teams through family history. You have to tap into that same ordeal. If not, it's all for not.

  11. I have always liked your comments, but I really disagree with your view of LIV golf. I think it really hurts golf in general. The best players in the world are not on the same stage every week. The quality of play on LIV is not that great as the very best players are becoming less competitive. I have never liked the "entitled or elitist" attitudes of a lot of the PGA players, but I also see the talent on tour going down with what is happening. I think fans in the USA may turn on golf and find something else to watch. It is sad to witness. Golf is fun and I have been to the Waste Management Open many times, but the "Party" atmosphere is out of hand there also. I would probably never attend a LIV event in the US.

  12. My tv was on the golf channel all day nowadays I can't stand to watch the golf channel. I just can't stand watching those smug a-hole commentators specially that Chamblee

  13. The views are down for LIV as well. And yes, they are cashing those blood money checks. Same money that funded the terrorist attacks on the U.S. and other countries. But hey, be proud

  14. I’ve only watched the 1st 1:45 of the video and I feel like somebody has to be honest. LIV 100% undoubtedly no question about it killed professional golf. Now before you get your panties in a wad you probably have no clue what I’m about to say. Sure I’m not a fan of the Saudi’s, I mean they chopped a reporter up into little pieces in someone else’s country on MBS’s orders, and they also had that other little thing we can’t say. But no that’s has nothing to do with it. The fact is LIV is taking shortcuts to get in a couple years what the PGA took a century to earn. This is like a foreign company coming in and undercutting all the local business until they go under because profits don’t matter to them. They are destroying a league that spent decades building up relationships with charities and communities over decades to make these tournaments truly special and they’re doing in a manner that if it were any other American company people would be losing it. If China set up BYD dealers next to Tesla in every city and sold nearly an identical car for $2,000 until Tesla was out of business we’d do something. In fact we are. One candidate has been talking about putting 100% tariffs on companies. However that still isn’t my main point. The biggest issue is you’re throwing away 150 years of history. Even when Tiger Woods was up by 15 on Sunday in Augusta the round still had meaning. He was still playing against Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player. Every generation has a golfer that was playing against someone other than the golfers on the course, and all that history and pageantry is gone in a blink of an eye. I don’t care how much you try to argue it LIV will never be as good as the PGA even if the level of golf is higher we don’t have history to compare it to and that’s one thing you can’t buy. Even if every player went over there it’s still a different game. Of course you have the 3 round tournaments, shorts, music, cheering, and all that good stuff but even if you changed all of that it still wouldn’t be the same. For 1 the league is diluted, instead of the best players in the world all in one league they’re spread all over the place. And second it’s the money. Sure most of PGA players are wealthy but most of them had to fight their way to the top. Giving these guys hundreds of millions of dollars for merely participating changes everything. There is no way you can compare a Liv golfer who’s next shot doesn’t mean a thing other than bragging rights against PGA players from the past where the stress they had to play under was infinitely more hindering because a single shot can cost you a career. Right or wrong it’s not a fair comparison. So to sum it LIV is destroying an American business built on decades of giving back to the community and putting out a good product is being squeezed out by a foreign company that doesn’t have to play by the same rules. 2nd, the playing field is diluted. The best players I. The world aren’t all in the same place anymore. If another PGA player comes along and breaks every record and wins 20 majors it will always have an asterisk next to it. The PGA Tour basically lost their biggest selling point overnight and that’s all the history. 3rd the difference in how the players are compensated not how much has all but guaranteed we will never have another Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, or Arnold Palmer. You just can’t compare players that get to swing completely free without a care in the world against guy that has to grind over 72 holes. It’s just tragic, I feel sorry for future generations will never get to experience another Tiger Woods. I was 13 when Tiger one his first major and watching him chase Jack for nearly 30 years now is the single most enjoyable sporting story of my life. They’ll be plenty of good golfers come along and I’m sure some will be entertaining but it won’t be the same. LIV is going to have to develop their own pageantry and that could take a hundred years or more to do so. Just really sad people let this happen over dollar signs.

  15. I'm glad you all like golf and you like the party tour (LIV). I love that golf can be quiet and a nice walk enjoying the outside. So, LIV tour is not my thing. We need to attack young people to the game so we have courses we can all play.

  16. The PGA is full of generic frat boys in Titleist caps with cookie cutter swings and games. It really needs a shakeup.

  17. The highly overpaid PGA administrators have neglected Australia for many years. It doesn't matter that it's 54 holes, 72 holes or a team event, if you bring the worlds best players it will always be successful.

  18. Also what Americans probably don't know is that Australia and South Africa have a rivalry in Cricket and Rugby…..so there is that aspect as well. It would be good to have a LIV event in South Africa.

  19. It's a chance for the rest of the world to walk beside and watch legends of the game like Phil and Bubba, also to see Bryson smoke a drive.
A shame they didn't get John Daly on board, he's the kind of larrikin Aussies love.
Every state in Australia now wants a Liv event.
