After Liv Golf Singapore lets get into this biscuit and talk Liv golf 2024

hello guys and gats how are you doing today it’s your boy Jake getting back to you with some live golf love up in here this has been an honestly a pretty fun week uh Singapore is over and Singapore as you guys know our boy Brooks uh brought it home uh you know he started out strong in round one got himself into a pole position and then does what he does best uh one thing that I’ve noticed about Brooks is that he is he seems to be as far as at least in the last couple years a player that is in his best when he’s on the on the pole uh he’s not that good at chasing I’ve noticed at least i’ that’s the vibe that I’ve kind of picked up over the past couple Seasons at least since his recovery from injury he’s really good when he’s on the pole and just sitting on the pole uh only blown lead situation that he’s been around has been uh the Masters uh in 2023 which had a lot of extenuating circumstances with it because of the weather and then of course uh the Patrick KL situation where everyone just wanted to kill him by the end of the day on in the final round so you know Brooks uh did what he needed to do it got a little tight toward the end for a little bit but you know Lehman and cam Smith both just ran out of holes and obviously Brooks played in a kind of a tougher situation uh Peters and his other playing partner Moran I believe uh they just the people that were playing with with Brooks in that final group and around that final group just just didn’t exactly get it up very well uh it definitely looked like it was going to be a day that Brooks was just going to have a pure field day just go out there uh pull your pants down and and and shoot whatever you feel like and you’re going to win and he did sort of do that if you look at his his round compared to other players I mean he stumbled on the very last hole uh you know obviously still had a cushion made that made the the clutch putt to hit par sadly his team didn’t not make the podium because he didn’t birdy the Hole uh but it was really cool to see how everybody handled it how everybody uh went together uh cam Smith Mark Lehman put together a second consecutive Ripper GC win and then more importantly off the team side of things super proud of clicks GC that final round they were consistent the entire week and you know round one they had some great scores go out there uh Moran and kimer both delivered then you had in round two had uh you know and kimer and Bland still doing some good stuff and then round three kimer and held it together but then Bland uh dropping you know a minus a minus two and then samuya dropping a minus 7 that was intense to see uh the team actually build around and be able to bolster and go we’re starting to see really come into his own and live golf Richard Bland continu to be the most impressive Pro 50 player out there on live golf which is saying a lot you know he’s been in contest a good number of times and I’m so proud of him as a player uh to still be out there still be active still be competitive at pro50 versus you know the other two pro50 guys who nichelson is is still proving that he deserves to be there and then Lee Westwood needs to we something needs to happen um but it’s just super fun to see the cleaks get a Board finish right there the clicks and Fireballs got a tie for second place uh they did not disperse the points differently they gave them both second place points for the event so even though the cleaks are listed at third uh they gave them both uh Second Place points so really good finishes right there uh again in the players side we saw gu get into his element we saw Peters finally you know make something look good uh Kevin Na having a really solid finish John ROM again a top 10 which you know people were like well well it’s a 54 man field it should be a top 10 every single day dude it’s still very competitive out there okay calm your biscuit down he will eventually get his win uh he’s doing great job out there and it’s been a good season for for ROM so Brooky like said is looking like a champ he’s getting into form and I think it’s going to be very interesting to see how he goes into uh you know the PGA Championship in in in 10 days 9 days 8 days whatever it is it’ll be very interesting to see what happens for him I think that he’s in the spot where I would put some money on him if you look at what happened uh going into the Masters in 2023 uh he won Orlando the week before the Masters goes into the Masters uh you know other than the fourth round was in complete control the entire day boom uh and then wins the PGA Championship about a month later after he was you know again still pissed off still focused in and you can see that he’s got that Big Game Hunter face on right now where he’s just in the zone calm down it looks like Jenna and the and and crew his baby are kind of under control a little bit and uh I don’t mean under control in a bad way I mean under control in just they’re not in a manic state right now they’re settled and that’s going to be good for Brooks going into PGA Championship so look to put some information on him and some money on him and some bets on him I think he comes out strong swinging ready to take home that biscuit because ultimately on the PGA side you know unless your name is Scotty Sheffer uh good luck you know good luck unless your name is Scotty sheffler good luck uh cam Smith looking pretty solid too so you never know what could happen there just really good to see him not being hindered off the t-box the way he had been in the early part of the year and for qu quite a while you know his driver had been his Bane and yet at the last two events his driver’s been pretty solid overall at least for him and I’m very impressed with that we’ve got two other main talking points we want to go over right now the next one is the Anthony Kim scenario Anthony Kim obviously had another uh rough weekend uh minus two the first round solid performance uh plus four plus4 so essentially in a lot of ways he’s a one round only player right now on the live Sur CC if you look at his season so far you know he’s he’s he’s he’s making he’s making strides he’s he’s struggling obviously uh you know he’s averaging dead last and birdie average dead last and Fairway average um you know he has not made a single Eagle obviously uh he’s down he’s down at the very bottom with with scrambling with greens and leg regulation uh his putting average is surprisingly really good uh eighth place in put average uh which means of course that he’s missing a bunch of a bunch of Greens in regulation and then getting very close uh his driving distance is competitive it’s not the worst it’s not the best 33rd might sound super far down but if you look at driving distance you’ll see that you know obviously you got the Bryson’s and the wacos and the and the and Matty wolves and Dean burm the guys who are just smacking the chicken Sal out of it uh but he’s only two clubs behind them so if you look at that you see these guys up here at at 218 uh every 10 yards essentially remember is essentially a club so even though he’s you know uh at 29 at 296 which you can see there’s a huge crowd around the 295 296 area that’s still very competitive that still keeps him in the conversation he’s not you know down here at the very bottom where we have kimer Perez Swafford and if you notice kimer Perez SW offered uh kimer has been putting in some pretty good performances recently but if you look uh pretty much the majority of these players that are at the Lower Side polter Stenson Perez Swafford are all struggling to get perform uh scores and a lot of that does equate to you know where your driver distance is look at the very bottom you have Pat Perez second to last at 2854 off the te he’s essentially averaging 40 yard difference between Des Shambo and himself now obviously if you’re hitting every Fairway if you’re hitting every shot crisp you still have a chance but at the same time 40 yards is 40 yards that’s essentially four clubs now I don’t know about you but if I’m hitting a a nine iron into a green I’m a whole lot more uh likely to hit the green than I am hitting a five iron into the green just saying that’s what we’re talking about right here that’s the dis that’s the difference right here uh in theory now in practice it’s a little bit different because D shambo’s iron are super jacked to where he’ll hit nine iron at 200 yards so you kind of take with a grain of salt right there but it’s kind of what we’re talking about AK is doing amazing though when you really talk about one thing about it is that I’m becoming a huge fan of Anthony Kim not because of his driving distance or his putting averages or his scoring his scores are obviously not good uh if you look at his rounds uh he’s you know he’s he’s put together some performances he had had you know a minus five at Hong Kong he had um you know a minus one in Adelaide a minus two in Singapore so he’s had three rounds under par one round at even and yes he’s had some struggle rounds uh you know the Miami and and don’t get me wrong Durado is a hell of a course so plus n plus eight plus four tough tough car tough tough course tough course and we got to take these things with a grain of salt but the thing that I love the most about Kim right now is the Anthony Kim that we’re seeing now at age 38 is a very different man than we saw 12 years ago uh he is dare I say humble you know and he’s I’m becoming a fan of his because of his Twitter and because of what he’s saying on Twitter you know and obviously we made some comments on here talking about oh he’s you know he’s only there because you know Greg Norman wanted to see the name k at the bottom of the leaderboard again uh referencing sewan Kim from last year Anthony Kim is the new sewan Kim look obviously his onc course performance is not there and a lot of golfers there’s two types of mentalities they’re the ones who start blaming everything else around them which you do even see in the Pro game you see guys go you know condition people or the fans or I’m a top 20 player in the world you do see players like that and don’t lie to we know we’ve seen it we’ve seen Jason kokra do it we’ve seen uh other players in the PGA Tour rooms do it we’ve seen uh Sergio do it U we’ve seen everyone Under the Sun uh it seems at some point of time is blaming something as to why they’re sucking or not putting putting in the good rounds and there’s two behaviors that can happen with it personal accountability where you own up and say hey I’m not getting it done I’m working on it or there’s the blame game and the blame game is super easy but with the blame game does not come growth Anthony Kim is growing as a man and as a player and I want to talk about this right now if you look at his Twitter he’s obviously got some sponsors going on right here he if you don’t know he’s had a mental health uh long you know a lot of issues going on with him in from his past 10 years um you can tell from his you know face it is weathered it is beaten um some questions about you know what happened with the with his nose area um you know if he was if he got you know in some trouble with some bad people we don’t know uh 100% And honestly it’s it’s none of our business it’s none of our business we’re happy that he’s doing well we’re happy that he’s playing we’re happy that he’s loving life and the biggest thing that I love about what he’s doing look right here never thought I’d be playing golf again from my battles with my mental health but through my sobriety and support I am blessed with this stage at live Golf League results are not there yet but I’m gaining 1% on it but I’m gaining on it 1% better every day and the most important thing in that entire statement is not hey I’ve had sobriety issues hey I’m thankful it’s not that what’s important there is him recognizing and and stating the results aren’t there but saying he’s working on it I love that so much and this isn’t the first tweet like that if you look through his Twitter please if you haven’t been following his Twitter yet I want you to go through and look at his Twitter he is so much talking about what’s going on you know where things are happening what’s going wrong what isn’t going what’s going right um he’s he’s happy he’s posting family photos yes that’s important too but it’s the important thing for me is he’s not making excuses or playing the blame game he’s taking responsibility look at this tweet from uh from post Adelaide absolutely frustrating and disappointing to play how I did today no excuses I have to get better and keep working I love that I I really do I love that because it’s him saying hey this is on me and this isn’t woe is me I suck I’m the worst ever because there’s there’s that pool that we can go into we’re playing the victim mentality he’s not playing the victim and he’s not making the excuses he’s taking personal account ability that’s a sign of growth as a person as a man and as a player and honestly I’m a fan of Anthony Kim right now uh and I’m rooting for him do I think that he’s going to be uh you know posting super good rounds consistently and getting himself uh points for this year or yada yada no I don’t think so I think that he might have an opportunity to sneak uh into a into the 30th the 30s in in a tournament I think he might have an opportunity to to you know put together three good rounds I don’t think that he puts together a a a a uh performance that’s really really great if that makes sense I don’t I don’t I don’t see him putting in a top 10 performance this year and neither should you as far as expectations go but I want you to say this I want you to see somebody out there that I think is worth being a fan of because he’s committed to making changes for the better and I I’m I’m impr impressed I really am he’s embracing the grind he’s he’s out there trying to get better he’s putting in the work he’s putting in the work and he understands that it’s his responsibility and nobody else’s and that’s something that I love I really do love that because he is humble in that he’s not he’s not out there uh you know belly aching going the wind stuck today y you wind I like the wind he’s not doing any of that he’s out there being honest about it and I freaking love that dude I really do so the final thing I want to talk about with this week with this week uh there’s there’s not really been much posted yet on the actual live golf website we do know that this week they announced it during the tournament they haven’t posted anything on the news section uh this week is the transfer window week for for Liv golf uh they open a transfer window and I I think this is a new thing for Liv golf mainly because of what happened last season with Matty wolf um you know by this point in the year last year look Matt wolf and Brooks keco were not on speaking terms at all you could see that smash GC was in a whirlwind of trouble as far as player Vibes I mean go back and look at the DC event KRA gets injured and then Matt wolf just up and quits on Brooks literally quit on Brooks and yes he had a couple of performances that were relevant by the end of the year but you know it was a tough year to watch and we were wondering you know how deep in the in the mental health problem realm was Matt wolf it was looking really bad from an outsider looking in again this is from an outsider looking in so when I say stuff like that please if you’re a player or a caddy watching that inside the Rope and you see a totally different thing remember what what you guys keep in the locker room we don’t see so all we have to comment on is what we see on the course on the social media and on the news postings or whatnot so again if if if I’m getting the story wrong for you insiders guys you understand why I’m getting it wrong it’s not because I’m wanting to or because I’m trying to spread lies it’s because you guys are doing a great job of keeping it hidden and that’s both good and bad so the transfer window is open this transfer window I I feel is a little weak uh simply because it is a inhouse transfer window only so there is no opportunity for players from outside of Liv to come into live right now so only players that are in the Liv can come in can can be swapped around this does give opportunities for players like Anthony Kimmer or Hudson Swafford to get swapped in um Hudson Swafford is not getting swwa in anywhere um no no that that dude is is gone I mean I I’m happy that he recovered from his injuries but homeboy no no no I mean the the dude has not scored a point the entirety of the Season he’s played every single event uh only one other player has played every single live event this season and not scored a single point and that is on the standing the player standings and that is Lee Westwood Lee Westwood is the only other player who has played every single live event this season and not scored a point that’s pathetic they both need to go sorry sorry wesy like I know you’re a great player I know that you’re a legend I know that you are x y and Zed you need to be moved to a non-playing captain role uh it’s just time I mean unless you can unless some magic happens and you all of a sudden become relevant again in some type of way which you know knowing father time is not on your side look I love you I’m a fan of majestic GC it’s time uh he needs to get moved to a non-playing role or moved out of the league completely it’s just it’s time Swafford um will not get moved to a team his best finish this season is tied for 36th uh he’s had he’s not he’s not pulled he’s not done an Anthony Kim where he’s pretty much last place every single week but he’s not much better and it’s just showing up you know his his driving distance is not competitive uh his his game is just not there right now and it’s sad but he won not he will not be getting transferred onto a team some people have talked though and said that Anthony Kim might get put on a team I don’t know what what to think of that um to me if I’m a team putting Anthony Kim on the roster it is not going to be because we think Anthony Kim will score points for us this season it would not because of that it would not be with the intent of Anthony Kim uh putting up points and being a a person that helps the team win a trophy or win a higher seeding into the uh Team finals at the end of the season it would not be for that it would be solely for the opportunity of what we expect or hope Anthony Kim will be by next season and that would be the only reason why I would see him get brought in one question I will have and I we don’t know the answer on this Lorie caner is somebody whom I’m watching during this transfer window uh Lori caner as you guys may or may not know oops uh you know he would he played the first two events scored points in the first two events has not played an event since and is still ranked 44th in the overall rankings there are guys who have played the entire season that are not in that are not higher than the guy who’s played two events he finished 16th in makoba 25th in Las Vegas honestly you know if it wasn’t for a terrible three putt on a final hole of the qualific of the Liv golf qualifications tournament would have gotten full full live rights this season a missed out in that though and in a lot of ways I I’ve missed him being on the on the league you know he was competitive the first two years he played the entirety the first two years he was very competitive he’s been out there I would love to see if there’s some way for certain players to get dropped in favor of Lorie caner if the if Majestics GC find a way to make Westwood a non-playing captain and bring in Lorie caner as a immediate replacement for him that would be the one transfer that I would really really really love to see I don’t know if they’re allowed to do that because again it’s supposed to be lateral transfers only for full rights players so players that have exemption as the wild cards Anthony Kim and Swafford are able to be up up for grabs but I don’t know if caner is available I would love for that to happen I would love for that to happen for Lorie caner to be able to get swapped in for Lee West would they swap in that Majestics aren’t all of a sudden a a top tier team but they’re at least relevant again and that’s needs to happen immediately because if you look at the season Majestics are just above iron heads now iron heads have had a couple of of decent weeks you know tied for six tied for six uh but you know Majestics have also had some decent weeks where they you know they got a fourth place in Hong Kong but their overall is just horrible a 13th a 13th a 13th two 13s in a row by the way and the scariest part about the two 13s this is the Singapore event 32 shots out of first place six shots behind behind uh 12th Place six 17 shots behind 11th place they are not competitive in this event in any way let’s go back to analie the event prior to that 42 shots out of first place 19 shots out of 12th Place so 42 shots out of first place 19 shots out of 12th Place completely uncompetitive two events in a row completely uncompetitive that’s four guys that are literally getting outmatched by more than one stroke for the entire week that’s unacceptable understand that’s Adelaide Adelaide they are 19 shots out of 12th Place 19 shots divided by four let’s do that math real real fast that’s that’s that’s just under five it’s like 4 point it’s like 4.7 uh per player nearly every single player was outmatched from just the 12th Place team by four to five shots for that week Majestics need to get need to get reworked and I think the best thing for the league right now this moment is to push Westwood off off the cliff and bring in Lorie caner I Maybe I’m Wrong maybe there’s more going on behind the scenes that I’m not aware of I personally say make westw a non playing Captain the rest of the year and put in Lorie caner there are obviously other things that could happen during this transfer window let’s go back and look at the team at the team standings for the season and you’ll see that during this SE this season uh pretty much every team is with their start of the Year rosters I’m not surprised with anybody’s position in the rankings except for Legion 13 Legion 13 is kind of the outlier at this moment they are a team that I am surprised is is as high as they are they’ve been overperforming in my opinion Caleb Sarat has made the jump to Pro level very well uh Kieran Vincent despite not really getting any points this season has still been contributing and I and I’ve been very impressed with him this season as far as being the out andout Fourth Man on the roster that’s what he is he’s the Fourth Man on that roster and he’s doing just fine so for the so what could happen for this transfer window we could potentially see something happen to where Legion 13 uh and the iron heads find a way to get the Vincent Brothers together that could possibly happen I don’t see the cleaks making any kind of change uh at this point in time you know there would there would have been a possibility to see maybe the range goats and cleaks work something out to get Peters over and give the range goats somebody um you know probably samoya I don’t know uh at this point I think that’s a whole lot less likely I don’t see smash making any changes unless for whatever reason gmax not really working well with Brooks which is weird uh and that wouldn’t I don’t see that happening considering Brooks and GMAC went into some kind of business venture together earlier this year I think they bought like an F1 team or something like that or bought horses together it was one of those kind of things where they bought something together that had nothing to do with golf I think it was horses you get the point um Stinger GC and Ripper GC are both identity based nation-based teams so I don’t see that happening tqu and Fireballs you know maybe they swap back some players with each other but I don’t see that happening either uh so really that just kind of leaves the qu a couple question marks out there players like Harold barer III um do the aces keep him around Aces have done horrible this year uh they have performed to my expectations ations believe it or not being kind of a lower ranker team and not because they think they’re that bad it’s just because hv3 has a lot going on in his life Pat Perez has a lot going on in his life that puts a lot of pressure on Dustin Johnson and uh Patrick Reed uh two players who are very good and very consistent in live golf but at this point in live golf uh it is no longer a situation where you have to have one or two really good players it’s you have to have three really good players and a reli ible fourth player at this point in time hb3 should be a really good player uh and Pat Perez should be a riable fourth player as they have been in Prior Seasons but both of them are just not quite there as of this moment it happens the real last question mark comes down to it um who would take hv3 honestly I don’t know so this gets really interesting for this window I don’t know if any moves really do happen um I don’t know what that looks like what do they look like because they can’t give like hey we’ll take this player and $5 million or we’ll take this player and give you this or that or whatever it just it is what it is so we’ll see what happens going long term but what are your guys thoughts as always keep on living peace out

  1. Since LIV LONDON 2022, so many of the big name players 40+ are just not competitive every tournament. It is just not Westwood; Poulter, Mickelson, Mcdowell, Kaymer, Na, Watson, Stenson, Perez and Schwartzel have been disappointing. Bland has been the biggest surprise of the older guys and Oosthuizen, DJ, Howell iii, Casey, Garcia have played well too. I would like to see more players with more indys and give teams the ability to cut trade for players like LIV is doing now. They just need more players to choose from. The addition of Rahm's team, Meronk and Herbert has upped the level of play. Glad to see Pieters finally playing like a top 24 player on the LIV Tour. I would like to see LIV get more young players like Surratt, Puig and Chacarra. Having everyone's score count on Sunday has increased the excitement with the team competition.

  2. “Mental health issues” is the new term for “playing bad” in every sport

Nobody ever wins and then talks about their mental healths
