The PGA TOUR returns to Texas this week for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch, where Jason Day will attempt to defend his title. He claimed victory here in 2010, as well as 2023, and has three top-10s so far this season. The Australian most recently finished T18 at the RBC Heritage. Jordan Spieth will also be in the field, where he’ll be competing on the 14th anniversary of his PGA TOUR debut this week. The American claimed a T9 (2021) and solo second (2022) at TPC Craig Ranch in previous years. Spieth will return to his home state of Texas this week with confidence after finishing T10 at the Valero Texas Open earlier this month. The native Texan will attempt to break a long-standing curse, as no Texan has won this event since Scott Verplank in 2007. Others to look out for this week are Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim, Adam Scott and Jake Knapp

[Laughter] spot nearly another [Applause] one dra man Tracer technology excellent to have the kind of power that he does off the te and to be able to control little shots like that into the green he is the full package Terry what a start so 6464 and starts with a birdie at the first here in the third round he’s got it going today got his old caddy on the the bag mark sble this a pitching wedge this looks great oh yeah be the best of the day what a club by sble Byron Nelson and a lot of low numbers out there Taylor pend his second at the fifth this is a par four the sixth hole and the second shot for [Music] pendri he does it again this time for eagles and Taylor pendri the 32y old Canadian to with you Andrew good to be with you looking forward to a good day this is uh a very exciting Golf Course three easy par FS couple of short par fours and an excellent shot there from the big hitting Jake knap one bag of Taylor pendri now after that awesome start so anything over 100 is good and that was excellent big greens here though you get a lot of long putts like this this one what a putt by nap and a short one left to take a share of the lead with pendrith he’s never rushed that’s what I really like about young nap just looks like he’s about to uh find a spot for nap time now at the eighth and here’s Ben Kohl’s who’s only three shot back yeah whole location today just tucked over in that front right corner of the green oh right at [Applause] it and that’s what we’re going to see today and the par five here’s the second for Kohls already seen a couple of eagles here today reachable five and this one heading to the back hole location and we might see another Eagle yeah could it be three for the Dallas native might see another one here doy let’s see if Kohl’s can knock this one in yes he can third eagle of the day at nine and now we have a three-way tie at the top as Ben Kohl’s goes to 16 under let’s go ahead to nine how about this shot for pendrith in has to go high and land it on the down slope played it well it helps being able to get the ball in the hand I mean the lies are good in zoia anyway and pendri for the outright league and an opening half of 30 what a way to start your day couple of eagles there at five and six he received a sponsor exemption this week what a shot there nice high fade from the up SL beauy control Now That Swing unmistakable Alex norin from Sweden hold just a shade under 500 yards up the hill Oh nearly takes the stake out excellent shot to 13 chance for Narin now down the hill little one more roll Nar and that’s a good three very good school card too not a single five on it Alex noren going at it with a BB my goodness look at this made three here the first day missed a 12-footer for birdie yesterday now a putt for a two Alex Soren coming in this week on the heels of five straight top 25s that would have been the second Eagle here today but a simple stressfree three gets him within one that’s a lot of good numbers on that scorecard two top 10s this season his best was a tie for Ninth at the farmers that’s the shape you got to try there for this pin and he’s done it well oh what a great shot by pendri and a chance to extend his lead at the difficult 12th hole 205 there’s always a Fairways too it’s tough to get that sort of ball Turf fi with firmer Fairways that’s the one thing the players normally prefer yeah still an excellent shot again there exactly right that’s a great shot [Music] now oh is that any good here’s Wallace I mean this is very basic it’s beautifully [Applause] judged yeah that was lovely speed wasn’t it where that long lazy Rhythm comes in so handy what an exceptional golf shot back over to Ben koh’s his second at the par 58 going for it and lands on the green will it feed back from that slope it should do all three par fivs today hit in two for Ben kls players are 875 under par this week few of the guys feel like they set up to it why not set up to my puddle like I do with my wedges and uh obviously bends that way okay Matt Wallace now on the T trying to bounce back after that bogey on 16 this looks like he could do just that right at it stay there fantastic shot from Matt Wallace that is one of the closest we have seen all afternoon look at that he kind of gives that finally Wallace for birdie very nice to there and Ian have you noticed how Frank only takes shots at me when he knows my mic’s going to be [Applause] closed over the creek right at the ho location what a shot by Wallace a chance to get to 17 under nicely sold there perfectly that always try and get the putter perfectly sold on the tur what a way to finish for Matt Wallace who will be in the mix tomorrow oh don’t sleep on Nap Jake nap with birdie at 18 and he’s only one back [Applause] well
