Extended coverage of rounds three and four of the 2024 Joburg Ladies Open at Modderfontein Golf Club in South Africa.

India’s Diksha Dagar, Belgium’s Manon De Roey and Spain’s Ana Pelaez Trivino lead the field in the sixth Ladies European Tour (LET) event of the season. The tournament was co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Ladies Tour.

Rookies Shannon Tan from Singapore and Chiara Tamburlini from Switzerland are also in the field as they look to continue their excellent starts to the season. Thai stars April Angurasaranee and Aunchisa Utama feature too.

[Music] it’s the first co-sanctioned event of the sunshine ladies tour season welcome to Eden Bale in the eastand of Johannesburg in Kang we are at the mod fantain golf club for the ninth edition of the joerg ladies open we’ve been treated to some Top Class golfing action over the last few days enjoyed by enthusiastic Spectators who enjoyed the quality on display at mod fantain Golf Course a field of 120 players representing 37 Nations have traveled here and the field will teared up in a 72 hole stroke play competition with a cut to the top 60 professionals and ties after the second round welcome to the best of ladies professional golf this is the third time that it is being co-sanctioned by the alite and the Sunshine ladies tour with a purse of just over 6 million Rand this is the 2024 joob ladies open well mod Fain golf club was founded in 1935 designed by Arthur tomet and opened by Bobby lock it was upgraded and redesigned by hu Baki their most famous me member in 1990 it is a challenging course with 12 of the holes having multiple sources of water coming into play with the course being built on an old Dynamite Factory we IR for some explosive action well it’s been a relatively mild week but the mercury has been rising and it will reach a high of 28° [Music] celius well so far over seven events have taken place we’ve had two winners who are going to the final at the sa ladies open at Aron Vale next week so we’ll be looking and keeping a bey eye on proceedings but it is of course Moving Day at the joerg ladies open and we’ve already seen some fine play here at the 11th England’s Gabriella C with the rounds of 74 and 72 made a good start to her round she turned in 34 and it just come from making bogey at the 10th but rebounded with a super birdie here at 11 l a hall here at the 10th she come a little from her right hand side in she goes well let’s join dger now at the 10th hole and going for fur birdies in a a row and with teen birdies from her at 278 and N sluman here on the PA 3 11th little bit uphill 142 m straight over the flag we here at 11 and this sobron GES this for Birdie on the par three hole it’s a lengthy effort fantastic stuff very very well executed there by Gomez well let’s update you then on how things stand here in the third round and it is tambrini leading the way today three under through seven and uh fantastic performance by her so far we’ve got another three under there from Theresa malleta for under round so far for dagar and sabron GES so things certainly happening but Nadia Fest is and holding firm so far she’s pared all seven of the holes that she’s played and she’s sitting safely at N9 under with tumini now two shots in front a little further down the leaderboard and Al I think a true reflection of the international nature of this event very strong the Internationals and they should be they have majority of the field but high quality players and great to see them out here and we’re going to enjoy them this week and next week here’s a look at Nicole Garcia playing her third shot into the power five 10th hole quite a good place to leave herself it’s going to set up a very good birdie opportunity Luna sabran GES playing her second shot into the 12th perfect position in that Fairway very difficulty shot to get right and that’s a excellent approach shot from Luna we saw on theas here chip up to here she has this to move to tie sixth position on six under pot well Nicole always plays well here at modon she finished in a tie for third position in 2022 and last year also got a top 10 as she finished tied for eight Shon Gomez coming maybe a little from L was from the left but not a good read for me she got it right good Birdie down that 12th look back into the 10th Fairway Theresa M Michi from Czech Republic that’s a great exhibition of spin there very popular spot long on the 10 Norris Luman three birdies and no burgies coming to the 13th unfortunately made a six on the reachable par five today they must have that t box up on 13 lot of trouble on 13 let’s see what she can do in 14 well sluman actually gained her card in Morocco in December fantastic effort there and currently sitting 38th on the ladies European order of Merit so a very solid start to her season Yana michova two over for her round today even though it’s playing only 105 M they’ already brought that back bunk into player right on the top right of the green great shot from Jana she plays out of albatra golf club from Czech Republic Theresa Mesa got a right their time also from Czech Republic Bena for all of the events got her mom with her on the bag really enjoyed their tamy in South Africa especially the food say we have really really good F he enjoyed it oh just catching the high side unfortunately bongi you were playing in the proam and what are your thoughts and Impressions on the way the course has been playing the course has been playing quite tough um um we’ve we’ve had um so much rain in the past um month and a couple of weeks leading to the tournament and it has not been easy the greens are quite soft but they are running at um reasonable spee to an extent because today I think they’re running at 12 um but in terms of the preparation I think that like I said earlier the the motor fontain um Team um led by the green keeper um Andrew madon they’ve done quite a good job so let’s join screen now at the 14th wow that’s a great shot Arena gimme playing her second shot Prime position in the Fairway so important to get a good t- shot off on this 12th hole trouble right trouble left that’s oh nearly spun that into the hole and here’s a quick look onto the 10th green n playing her fourth shot coming up just pin high on the left and as we saw earlier with Laura Fu very tough from that side the rough and fortun just kills all the spin greens being as quick as they are it’s hard to control it and bongi there’s a look at our Spectators yes um we’ve made arrangement for spectators to come to the tournament the tournament is free um they download their tickets um from the sunshine tow website park at Stone Ridge and then they get a parking ride to the facility we’re needing more people to come and watch golf and support these young ladies as they continue to play their trade great birdie there from Theresa Mesa there’s a look at mares and now with her lengthy par saving p on the 10th she’s made nine straight Pars in the front nine back nine is quite difficult he don’t want to drop shots early on and unfortunately she has only blemish on a scorecard today thus far got a couple of holes in birdie opportunities coming up to try pull that back ni Garcia with a birdie p on the 12th great place to beat slightly up the hill should move a little from the left and she makes it great Birdie the 12 has been playing very very tough during the course of this this week so Nicole will be very very pleased with that effort sitting at 7 under Kiara tambellini just cleaning up for her par having played from the banker also another young player very promising one of the new faces on twit this is Verina gimme also on the 12 she nearly holded the shot pitched it past managed to spin it just past leaving herself slightly uphill probably just left of center not much in it and even the shortcuts demand respect time and focus see the girls ready taking their time not wanting to squander any shots unnecessarily [Applause] I’ll screen you here at the 14th and a fantastic birdie there for her pretty short putt but those are the ones that can really trick you up as a look back on the 13th hole P five should this go in it’ll be her third Birdie down the hill slopy put will move back towards the right at the end beautiful birdie that’s three birdies for Luna sabron Gomez making a run on the back nine and here’s Hannah sluman apologies Laura sluman Kiara tambellini now lengthy bu pat on the 11th slightly up the hill Oh back of the cup wow well Al leader is playing like a champ at the moment and that takes her up to 13 under but yes as mentioned Nicole Garcia another player she had a major injury probably three years back took her out for a year and it’s great to see her coming back you know it’s so tough after a year off the game to come back and play get that momentum well the lead group here 12 and I can tell you that n on a W and CLI the left hand side from a demanding t- shot she’s now A Touch of Fortune underneath the branches but she’ll probably look to punch out just short of the water that guards the par 4 and safely finds the fair with a second so she’ll have about 90 m to the flag from there looking to Safe par and keep another bogey off her card having Bogi the 10th next to go is Anisa Ama best of the three drives middle of the Fairway 110 M the pin today is 20 on Six from the left and it’s set up with a superb angle for the professional to take aim at this flag this afternoon the breeze is slightly off her left hand side but she has been striking the ball rather well today we expect her to be within 15 ft of the Capia Andrew any wind to speak of out there turns from the morning it seems to have died just a little bit and if there is any wind it is coming off the left hand side of the player’s shoulders ni go here Banker shot here at the 4 five looks to be a good one it really is a great shot she didn’t have much space to work with look she was on the slight back portion of that bunker it’s a great shot from Nico Garcia the leader talini five birdies no bergies today quite a commanding lead at 4 and to P another great shot from Kiara kind of feel like she has gotten her nose ahead and she’s running away with it as we welcome OG Malu into the commentary box today hello again Tandy afternoon now how you g i could complain but uh no one listens Al oh look at that settled down what a great approach there from April naria f are now playing her third shot having after having recovered from the left hand side smart play not taking on any unnecessary risk oh she would have loved a little bit of Back Spin there we go down to gimi pretty patch here on the par five little bit downhill from her right hand side I must say having played the course this week and though unfortunately missing the cut found the greens quite treacherous from the point of view that you can have a birdie put and you still feel like you’re lagging it just because the greens are so quick you’re putting a little bit across the slope that cross grain you’re just aiming so far right or left and trying to get that Max break and diet in so the putting almost feels a bit tentative all the time even though you’ve got inside a 10t for birdie I Givens from the UK and hence you said earlier Tandy that you’d rather be sort of uphill 1520 ft and 10t downhill 11.8 on the stmp the greens have gotten quicker and quicker each day 11.2 in the proamp 11.4 and 11.7 yesterday wouldn’t be surprised if they’re very close to 12 if not 12 tomorrow for final round F stuck birdie p [Music] [Music] STI cleans up there for her PA remains at 5 under and play travini travina should I say great birdie for from her on the 16th uphill Par Four now Nicole Garcia par five 13th hole after a fantastic bunker shot on the left hand side little uphill unfortunately a missed opportunity of a birdie one of the things about these greens being as slick as they are if you are putting across the slope mean I had a couple of two Footers I was aiming almost two three cups outside the hole you’ve got to marry up that line and Pace Pama I predict that you’ll leave a 15 ft short while she’s left at about 30 and what a cruel puty has left for her third here at the testing 12th up the hill got to marry the pace in the line bending from the left to right oh it’s quick she’ll have that left for her PA not from the vest and as you would have seen had to lay up having struck the left hand side tumber L up well and she’s knocked her third at this path forward to about 20 ft started with nine straight PS before buring the 10th hole having taken the overnight leader with a wonderful finish to her second round yesterday closing with five birdies she’s got about 20 ft to negotiate here and the putt should move a little bit from right to left the playing partner who is taken this tournament by storm as it stands here’s Kiara tamborini and also a wonderful second into the screen setting up yet another birdie chance so far the gallery has been lit up by the Excellence of the young professional five birdies no burgies for Kiara tambellini trying to assess that pace and line marry it up looks like she’s aiming a little out to the right hand side should turn from that right bit of a knuckle retreating from the side of the green she just going to clean up for her par it’s definitely my favorite time of the year to play golf here in Johannesburg of course these are still lash Fairways are quite firm you get a bit of release and the ra is obviously not so gnarly back to the par for t Nadia F vesten needing to make something happen OG almost feel like it’s a really must make just to get the momentum going no birdies so far take the break un fortunately there will be a second dropped shot of the day for Nadia the overnight leader power away through the front nine drop shot at 10 and now at 12 Sweden’s mfold playing her second shot into the uphill Par Four 16th another hole that Demands a very good t- shot all the players just hitting a three-wood leaving them in the fat of the Fairway that’s a great approach shot she loves this course doesn’t she T he had a good run here here last year as well I’ve played with her once or twice she she hits a long ball of the tea but she’s very very accurate with her iron play so it’s very suited to this kind of golf course and also I have played with her when she’s gone quite a few under so her putting stroke definitely can can do it job there’s a look at the previous winners Monique Smith to 202 2020 back when it was at s Country Club it’s Cassandra alexand became a winner and the phenomenon of Lyn Grant began right here at the jber open winning in the 2022 Edition we know what she’s going on to achieve liily May Humphries coming out to sa and winning last year Liam pce Kim Williams Ashley duai and jamini all previous winners of this prestigious event [Music] here’s a quick look at the short par 34th hole penalty area has caught out some emys and that pin placement on the right hand side today quite difficult to get it close 10 he mentioned earlier kind of have to gamble try pitch it long and spin it back here the path three 14th the last chance to beat the pro and advance to the final next week of the S wom’s Championship the inves woman’s Open championship at aaronville with our leader who’s been imperious during this third round making a host of Birdie she certainly got the speed on the greens correct the acceleration has been brilliant out with out with a gap wge trying to negotiate 113 yards tell you that the wind has settled just a little little bit especially from the earlier morning conditions so be fancying her to take quite a strong aim at this pin position looks a little bit like from her program swing there she trying to keep the club a bit more in front of her hands and the takeaway I’m just going up ahead to the path or 15th hole Nicole Garcia putting quickly down the hill quite a bit of break on the left hand side ball should move back towards the water on her right beautiful Judgment of pace finishing just behind the hole she’s so D playing 105 M the 14th today oh great [Applause] shot it’s a good place to be a nice uphill p all I can say guys is try and beat that what a shot from Utama and Helen I can just see the little smoke on her face as she stands towards the backboard watching Nadia Fest and te it up here Nadia from South Africa giving a great account of herself also out with the gap wedge today and beautiful conditions out here [Music] oh yeah delightful approach from Nadia Fest that beautiful Reno not up for grabs today but will be for the first hole in one in tomorrow’s final round today the t- box has been brought forward shs likely to go back tomorrow hopefully we’ll see an ace but first in today’s business can Helen KV plays out of Beck and Feld golf estate 12.3 handicap trying to beat the pros can tell you that is an awesome shot guys oh that is fantastic wonderful approach there from Helen K has it beat the pro though Andrew guys will have to have a look upstairs there rules and the measurements are out already all the congratulations are out the T box surrounding 14 for Helen from Brackenfell a superb effort in trying to beat the pro this afternoon she was staring that down OG I just hope it’s closer often pin high is and it looks like n might have just snuck it in there di thear birdie put on the 17th up the hill me watch her tap in for her part just confirming where she can stand you can see the two other players markers just to the right of her putting a good round together five birdies and just one buy coming at the fifth to the 14th our leader for birdie K tambini just coming up short we’ll tap that in for par to stay at 1 and and there is confirmation Helen KV beating the pros with a wonderful approach shot deserves another look was a great swing here alen Michelle it certainly was you can see how she staring it down the L last player out of 10 amate and she had a bit of work to do official over probably four or 5T from the hole well deserved trip she’s going to have ping slightly up the hill now little over 6 M moving from the right hand side back of the cup [Music] seen her each day before her round spending a fair amount of time on the putting green we just see NY unfortunately just missing on the high side there for her birdie she seems to be having that day no birdies can’t get that conversion at the [Music] stage it’s amazing how quickly changes yesterday she finished the Bloods f five straight birdies to post that a [Music] 568 can’t seem to buy a birdie today unfortunately stays in a tie for fifth place at 700p but can still aord to smile wonderful to see it will come Helen down at the 14th with Andrew hope Andrew Chima be beaming with pride Helen C alongside me who just come out Victorious beating her respector professional in the beat the pro competition and Helen firstly what club was it and how how far did you have to the pin uh it was my eight iron and I think it was 102 to it looks so good off the strike of the golf club from the outset it felt good but super nervous what’s not nervous is uh your hands right now that’s a bit of a joke but congratulations it was incredible shot and Well Done how how forward are you looking into going on that Journey very awesome looking forward to it going to have some fun and what does it mean to be out here this week supporting the jobber ladies open at the top dagar is second into 18 which is another tricky hole over water another beautiful shot there’s a lot that can go wrong in this back nine Tandy indeed as we look at Luna sabran GES from Spain after a drop shot on the 17th playing her fourth shot must say this back nine is very difficult if you can get it going make some birdies you’re going to gain a lot of traction on the field it’s very easy to make Bogies so many demanding t- shots playing six of the holes s Newton playing her new from Finland playing her second shot into the 18th delightful shot Kim mro one of a few left-handers playing this week we just saw the Indian dick shot dagger she’s on the 18th first to get into red numers for the week here Jo big ladies open [Applause] just to further elaborate what you mentioned earlier Alan about the back nine is that hitting the fairways is quite crucial cuz there’s quite a bit of rough guarding the fairways and if you are offline a lot of the holes are tree protected so slightly right slightly left you got a contain with trees and already on to very quick greens that are hard to access pins beautifully hold yeah and you’re crossing water on the 12th the 13th 15 to a degree 17 18 so if you’re just off the Fairway like you said and you got to try and negotiate sometimes you got to just lay it up and take your your punishment Teresa meeta for Paul not going to be [Music] there’s a look at the 18 green Fairway in the background and there’s that yellow penalty area we mentioned earlier FL was cut just over a tier today definitely one of the more accessible pin placings on this hole this is going to be slightly downhill moving a bit from the left hand side the four under on her front nine just one under on the back nine just to move it up in a sh of alongside Nicole Garcia Mar the B already a two-time winner on the l oh unlucky on the inves African wom’s open down at westle in 2019 I winner last year to the 15th she so D up there’s her approach into the Par Four coming off that birdie at 14 and she sets up yet another one with a wonderful approach shot it’s one of the best we’ve seen so far on 15g absolutely s new in straight up the hill just the bir putt you would like been really frustrated with the patting this week [Applause] well gimy second shot here at 17 great distance control from Vina gimi coming up that first cut of R go down to Kim mro Birdie eer on her final hole the up the hill moving from right to [Applause] left Nora Fu playing her second shot on the 17th out the left hand first cut great shot from from her SCS are making the 17th look rather easy I think like you said earlier tendy that you have to drive it well on this back line give yourself shots out the Fe you can control the spin now a just a little bit outside the left hand side possibly needed a bit more Pace to stay online and as mentioned even the short PS have got a fair amount of movement yeah she dearly would have loved to have finished off with a birdie there at the last and just take that momentum through into the final round tomorrow rebron Gomez has had a great round unfortunately had a double bogey on the 17th but she was seven and Par for her round going into the 17th so do to finish with a 685 under moment tied for third position she actually ends at a difficult injury plag year on a high at final stage Q School to regain full Al playing rights for 2024 so just hinded by a back uh injury for much of the year and uh that was a year where she competed on both the L and the LPGA so very busy golfer indeed Nicole Garcia here at 17 just come with a berie on 16 not one of those PS that you can be aggressive on [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Teresa unfortunately coming up just shine she’ll tap in for her PA Bina gimy just a clean up for her birdie after a really exceptional approach shot from the left hand R so move it into Ninth Place along side a couple other players few holes to go yeah very solid performance from her today she also had a birdie at the 12th hole and uh we saw a Bergie from her at the fourth but of course that is the toughest hole on the course but there is confirmation of how things are shaping up here in round three it is talini leading the way at 13 under oh Kiara tambellini having missed the Fairway right found a bit of trouble and she had to force away with a 79 up to here now left with this delicate shot playing uphill but having played in the Augusta National woman’s amateur before I’m sure she used do really good greens and model Fontaine provides us with just that an excellent roll up the frer should probably land at 10 Feast paces and get that one to stop a little bit a decent shot not even a Hasen up here part for her on the 16th Par Four this would be a great bounce back watching just a little bit tentative with her pting strike today we’ve seen her leave quite a few p short kind of get stuck in that wave of hitting it short and then hitting it a little bit too firm so you got good line bad pace and you’ve got unfortunely a put that goes too firm so it doesn’t quite take the break as a golfer we all have those days yeah then you start sort of overthinking the pace instead of just letting your eyes tell you what’s going on this young lady has been so impressive today especially from this distance and pretty much M ranges to be honest on the dance floors and like Nadia Festa she’s at Great Pace on the greens and don’t expect this one to be leaving too much of the cup although the wind is picking up quite a bit and that’s why she’s taking a bit more time on this one and she want to preserve her Advantage at the summit of the Joe big ladies open so in the context uh and put the stroke of an of a champion to be perhaps Al leer Kiara tambellini absolutely spectacular it’s definitely going to be a shot in our in our highlights of today one of the best approach shots we’ve seen into the 17th hole can see 17 a little dog leg to the right you going to negotiate that right hand tree almost favors a left to right t- shot sneak it down that Fairway it’s all downhill but if you get in that little semi- rough overhanging trees you got to negotiate that penalty area well 20 M less is nardia from vest and pretty unfortunate yet it’s overall into the first cut of rough 71 m to the flag as vasen hasn’t had the best of rounds but she’ll be looking to follow suit and the footsteps of the leader who’s fired an absolutely tremendous approach into this wonderful PA for 17th it looks on course guys a little bit long that is unfortune not get in the Back Spin as you would expect coming down the hill playing at the ra as we look at gimme power on the 18th moving a little left to right [Applause] Chama coming from the Fairway she’ll be able to control her spin better nothing wrong there just a slight pull there guys with no no damage 18t left for birdie [Applause] well it’s a bird for fck but uh still a good round even PA just outside the top 10 well n haven’t had the ability to get the spin on her golf ball with the second shot just firing it past the pin looks to be a little bit from the left here it’s a tricky downhiller though you can see she’ll take careful consideration in this one no doubt L Lissa yeah prer we’ll also get down low to have a look at it as well the best of the shots though of course from our leader Kiara talini it’s been an exhibition guys and simply outstanding golf to be watch and all the spectators out here are simply in awe if an idea if underest is in this Ison an important part to get her round back on Court and possibly the tournament in itself like you said Andrew an important one for fun ofest haen she looks for the birdie [Applause] now just having one of those rounds Too Short too long come up short the previous two Pats up here nice just’s got a little tricky four-footer coming back [Applause] there are two places available for two players to finish otherwise not not exempt into the invested a women’s open next week as well as the winner of this year’s ladies Dr Bic open will also get an entry into the ATS career event so other playing opportunities as well as exemption on both Sunan ladies tour and ladies European tour lots to play for let’s see what atama can do now she’s really made steady progress today after that initial hiccup at the first but she got a bogey and three subsequent birdies followed that and that is so so [Applause] close is sitting at eight under five shots off the [Applause] pace interesting you have a day when you watch the golf and just seems like so many pets don’t don’t go in and then the next day looks like they can’t miss going to be in for an exciting day [Applause] tomorrow that’s a very unfortunate three P for nard and haen and as you mentioned just trying to make the birdie hitting it a little bit too far past and then lacking the pace coming back up the hill Mar hasn’t done that much wrong today besides the pting just only really one loose shot on 15 got punished for the double bogy he’s made nothing else but this lady Kiara tambellini is on [Applause] fire 18th Fairway that is what those ladies have to negotiate massive penalty area a lot lot easier from the Fairway though that 10 location is 26 on and 11 from the right hand side we’ve seen quite a few of the ladies overshoot the screen quite a bit of uphill on the front of that green well L that’s been expert gol from a lady I can’t believe Shen turned professional back in August last year and she shown years Beyond her experience another brilliant drive here this time down the 18th the tricky path for the Meandering stream that wraps around this 18th green for Kiara tambellini the 24-year-old she’s got 109 yards and that’s with the pin then being further like you said 26 on are looking to use a wedge to 99 here just another solid swing and that’s nicely done safely aboard below the hole about 5 m pting slightly up next to play in the Fairway nardia Fen really enjoy her swing n looks quite natural on plane connected [Music] that’s a great approach like the Nadia on the final hole go well to roll that in and give her a birdie set some positive momentum for the final round tomorrow despite the difficulty she’s had today momentum such a strange thing in golf you sink a pat early on your round you get a few birdies under your belt and everything’s fine soon as the pat starts slipping past you just hit a half a bad shot and all a sudden you make a double and start thinking a lot well particularly if she could get that pter firing with the the last putt of her round that would be wonderful for her t with another fabulous drive here just airs 116 m to the green or TR to the pin rather 126 yards with the pitching wedge the wind can see the flags in the background just slightly up left to right it’s an impressive young Talent this as [Applause] well can’t you find another he on a good line oh she deserved that just the lone bogey on the first hole this to shoot seven underp par to stretch the lead [Applause] Nadia B great approach up from her into the 18th it’s going to move a little from the right hopefully she got a good read of Utama get in there well done [Applause] Nest kiar to clean up for her p on the 18th great round of golf by this young lady well what a fantastic performance from tamberlin 67 here on the third day of this tournament and she’s sitting pretty at the top of that leaderboard at 14 under round of six under today and uh that leaves her very comfortably in front by a very juicy six shots of trees on both nines and provides a Stern test the weather has been absolutely perfect and the action has been enjoyed by enthusiastic spectators at mod fantain golf course this is the best of ladies professional golf and the third time that it is being co-sanctioned by the L and the Sunshine ladies tour with a purse of just over 6 million Rand Switzerland’s Kiara tambellini holds a six shot lead into the final round of the jerg ladies open one of the newest stars in European women’s golf surged ahead with a bogey free round of 6 under par 67 to lead the field on 14 underpar what a fantastic Prospect she is we are excited to get this final round of the 2024 joerg ladies open underway welcome to it let’s first update you on what has happened so far in this final round as we join Newton and now at the pass 3 11th and uh sitting at five under is newtonan fantastic approach there and uh she would go on to par that particular hole Cassandra Alexander for Eagle here at the lengthy T 510th she come a little from her right hand side just not taking the break and resulting in a birdie in a little bit disappointing we back to the PA three 11th now and Cassandra moving on here and also looking to continue that positive momentum and having come off a birdie at the 10th she’ make it backto back birdies here at 11 men and Dy on the 10th her third shot pin is in a back right pin location great approach there from Dy she converts another birdie at the 11th so let’s get the very latest then from out on the course tamborini has doing exactly what we expected she would do pick up where she left off yesterday today she is too under through seven holes we saw her make a birdie birdie start she did pick up a bogey at the third but then made another birdie at the fifth she’s going along very nicely indeed and now has a seven shot advantage over Utama so very good play from her we’re also seeing some fine scoring as we look down that leaderboard two under through 11 for pz Travino we’ve also got a three under through 15 from meline Stova a little further down four under there through 15 from Nina pagoa and two unders through 16 for Liz Young and Teresa Diaz Mullen the leader of course setting the pace at 16 under as we just take a look down to see the progress of some of the players out on the course we’ve got Katherine muzy there three under through nine a fine they’ll be playing on the East Coast number one to5 then they’ll hop on to the eighth hole play the ninth as well then head down to the 10th play the power five and uh the power four rather the long power four in the East and then finish with the power five 18th hole um yeah it’s going to be fun looking forward to it interesting very interesting lovely P just miss that chip in with the Eagle over the place um it’s incredible because these girls are just not playing for themselves they playing to a crowd that is actually has taken an interest in what they um they’re doing yeah and Peter mman was actually picking up some pting tips watched uh very interesting and great to see even the young kids that have come through this week has been super impressive absolutely there’ve been quite a number of thing um young kids that have come with parents and stuff um very interested um in the sport and those are the future players you know um South Africa has grown in golf but we need to ensure that we do more in increasing the number of people um young people um playing golf across the board so that when the generation that is currently playing you know moves over we have more young people that are coming into the F irrespective of color absolutely Lis Luman for under today gets into double digits and takes second place on her own n f Hazen 15th hole fortunately she had bit of a nightmare hole here yesterday scoring a double and that’s going to be a single bogy for her andz mentioned earlier on today OG in our in our pre- interiew I did mention that this Hall was going to be pivotal in proceedings for the final day indeed look at former champ Cassandra Alexander that’s a littleit unlucky not getting the back spin on that portion it’s going to be a tricky downhill chip right hand side that’s a great approach Up by Nicole Garcia back to our leader Kiara tambini got a little rescue expect this to be middle back of the green good shot for Kiara Theresa mka with ready pat on the par 314 all my let comes up just shy good birdie opportunity og4 Nicole coming back down the hill never high enough unfortunately and also as mentioned yesterday I’ll some of these slippery downhill Parts although be 8 10t for a bird there’s no being too bold and going for it definitely opting for lag Pace coming down the hill and when you putting the ball at slower Pace you have to allow for more break and there in lies the challenge of making those putts not the case for Kiara tambellini n shot leader on a run here this is for four in a row and our leader Kiara tambellini to extend her dominance an eagle put to come it is a slippery one down the hill the first half will be very quick especially going from right to left she’s had a good look at it and she gone to make another bomb she seems to have good Pace on this one could it be oh [Applause] you definitely have to feel that at this stage of proceedings with a nine shot lead as she’s playing golf like it’s just her home course enjoying an afternoon there’s no pressure anymore safely in for Kiara tambellini that’s her third birdie in a row on the back nine [Music] Nicole Garcia with a birdie attempt on the 16th hole Par Four up the hill all the way from the front right hand portion of the green it’s going to move left to right and right to left at the end pace is quite important couple of bumps along the way yes great birdie Nicole well Nicole does love playing here we’ve seen some really good finishes from her of the last couple of years she was T3 in 20122 T8 last year well she’s eyeing that second place on her own looking to pull aear to 10 under slightly uphill should move a little from the right hand side her right makes it what a great two Club on this hole today second place on her own s was in the bunker here is her PA P everybody has missed that P left that’s back toback Bogies now for sluman certainly not moving in the right direction on that leaderboard Cassandra Alexander on the 18th green put from right to left and then straightens at the end has she read it correctly good judgment of pace just does quite have the line 3 under par 70 for Cassandra Alexander previous win of these Joe big ladies open Solid performance bird and Eagle the first nine car tambini six under for day through 14 holes currently 10 shots clear well tambellini RI has set the pace in this tournament showing her cards on Saturday and just continuing to pull clear of this field in the final round here sitting very pretty indeed at 20 under and a whopping 10 shot Advantage as we just take a look at some of the other performances today we’ve had rounds of 70 from screen Alexander they’ve just finished off very good 69s as well there Nina paga and Sara Shela weighing in with rounds of four under MOA faler as we see down that leaderboard of course the finishing joint second at last year’s tournament that was after she held the lead heading into the final round but Lily M humph had other ideas well all three ladies hitting pretty much the same distance at the moment we’re not too sure he’s going to be playing first it could be otama but I suspect it could be tambellini giving the angle to the pen which is 12 on and three from the left hini has been imperious throughout the weekend’s golf leading Ing and keeps her foot on the accelerator this is one of the toughest of holes at moain golf club looking to negotiate this one and then pretty much continue a march to victory that is a lovely looking golf shot guys one of the reasons she has a 10 shot lead has not took foot off the pedals we look down at 15 the mining T-shirt with that penalty area all down the right hand side you got to keep it down the left probably 3w off the tea for the ladies as Tandy explained earlier that massive Tree on the left hand side you do not want to mess with that well just two yards shorter is Utama playing from the right hand side of the Fairway from the angle which is really good she’ll also be looking to get this one within Striking Distance nice safe shop to the middle of the green going have to try pitch this a me or two short of that flag that is really well [Applause] played all the pats we we’ve seen so far on the 15th we haven’t seen anybody miss it right everybody’s been below the hole slightly different angle here for saon Gomez something from her angle that she had in the Fairway she couldn’t really attack that flag because of that tree that guards the left hand side it looks like it’s quite far away but it’s a ginormous tree that actually almost overhangs that front portion so you don’t want to get cluttered in the side there hits the flag stick and in great time to make a birdie on a difficult hole all tambellini another look at birdie could she make it four in five holes taking careful consideration just looking to start this one about three balls left of the hole but will drift to the right as she married the pace and the line and for she just hasn’t given it enough yet there you go now and uh that’s for birdie BR a great back nine three birdies already on a good line but just comes up a little shy cutting back into the shadow never easy 15 power four chis AMA currently second place on her own one shot clear Nicole Garcia that’s to move it to 11 under first player we’ve seen leave it on the high side oh yeah gave the commentator’s curse there I think good Pat though for a time [Applause] out definitely feel like the 15th hole is a hole you just very happily make a par and move on bir birdies are really a bonus as we look at our leader cleaning up for her PO [Applause] Kini just taking her time sticking to her shot routine through out from the beginning to the end especially in the closing portion of today’s round big patch up for slan get off that bogy run that is themed past the hole well ni call Garcia the leading South African on that leaderboard this at the 17 for birdie go in and she’ just come from a birdie at the 16th back to back would have been great but just denied let go now great shot in here Mesa can she convert she can and moves into a tie with the here nine and the par [Applause] shadan player from Singapore after a fantastic approach shot and we’ve seen her miss two of those yesterday and it just looks like as she takes that putter back she’s already looking at the hole that left shoulder gets high and left it’s going to be very costly in the context of finishing places today and she’s going to know that as we look at the pro from Panama cleaning up for her bogy yeah Tan’s going to be disappointed with that she lists her pting as the strongest part of her game and uh when the best part of your game is not working you can’t expect your game to be happy overall that was dear finishing off her par on the 16th they’ll make their way to the 17 T box CU yeah finish up a minus8 currently will be in fourth position good week for Nicole [Applause] Garcia soogi there for Garcia at the 18th and uh she’ll finish at eight under for the tournament alongside man andery two holes still to come then for the three players in that last group well tambini back now of course this game is all about problem solving Sunshine ladies TR does a allow players to use rang finders to Aid with pace of play or be it range finders that do not have gradient and slope to Aid them for the most part the range finders do have that function that you can switch off and as it’s a local rule for Sunshine ladies T it’s being adopted this week for ladies European t as well it’s quite a debate that whether you use it or don’t use it the Sunshine Men to or do not PE to do not but when they play the US PGA Championship they do I think when you’re out of position and you got a range finder it helps you don’t have to go find that extra yardage I do think it’s really important to have the book as well cuz you want to see all the areas that you’re covering the bunkers the front the back of the green so ongoing debate yeah we’ve definitely found for the for the ladies that has helped with pace of play and that’s a good shot from her coming out the rack very tough to any spin but the stage she’s got shots to burn two puts from there will be more than satisfactory jeta made a great bogey actually on 17 found the penalty ER got it up and down a tie for third too bad just through the back of that green great View for the spectators here on 18 as we’ve come back to slan little bit conservative that second shot understandably with that PIN is on that left hand side and we saw dag already flirting with that penalty area looks to be a good shot she’ll have a little over a meter to save her part as we look at Lisa AMA padding from the back Edge we saw Cassandra Alexander in a very similar position earlier on today running just through the Green P from that back Edge there not much space to work with also water on the far side little tricky there tan you’re coming through that first foot of the koui grass and trying to negotiate how much that’s going to slow it down before you get to the downhill so what was the kind of part you want to feel like you’re just trickling it over that front edge just let it dribble down down towards the hole should move from the left hand side once it hits the putting surface same token I think in her position he still want to feel like you’re giving it a chance and she hasn’t done that still left herself a good 4-footer left to right down the hill to close out for her part that the p is J mka lengthy T I’m quite a big of that left hand low grip Al don’t know what your thoughts are certainly find it a bit easier than the conventional grip HS the P stay a lot squarer for longer through impact especially for players that find themselves very handsy with their right hand Alia tambellini 6 62 yards from the right and S rough with a third and showing great maturity having found the left inside tree trouble offer t- shot her third shot has landed here she’s oped with a pter and she didn’t have too many problems regarding a bobble or two should been from left to right and you know the way this girls have been playing I have no doubt that she will give us a great try you can you can just see how far to the left hand side she’s aiming in anticipation for that big swing it’s okay though you got a 10 shot lead just uh going to be hopefully just a second burgie of the day seven birdies in that round and in F she’s done so much other good work earlier on today especially on the front line going three under today extending that lead even more just giving her so much of a breather on that back line then she went Birdie on 11 12 and 13 to the top it off she definitely would have got a good understanding of what this patch doing from Kiara tambellini can sabron Gomez make it three in a row and join in second place at this stage just going to be quite courageous to get this to get to the hole everybody’s come up a little bit shy it’s very slick from the back side of this 17th green especially in that front right it’s quite a slow doesn’t really give a Justice on the camera angle but it is quite slick cuz I got the [Applause] pace so tough to go left enough [Applause] diar for her Birdie on the 18th move into nine under on a share off third position alongside Teresa mka who’s yet to finish and then Bron Gomez has one hole to play great week for the young lady from New Delhi and what a great back nine 4 under 32 and that’s how you collect a little more cash in your bank account chis now little over 4 and 1/2 ft down the hill moving left to right this is very much a case of lining up and marrying Pace in line can go straighter and go firmer go well out to the left hand side and fill it in that is a big p for thas she stays second on her own she knows it see a big sigh of relief from Utama there as she hands a pter across to her caddy ter is up to clean up lovely P there aand 72 to close out her campaign here’s our leader now Kiara tambellini the young Swiss lady finishing off her bogy on the 17th but that doesn’t matter she’s got a nine shot lead playing the last hole amini’s found the right hand rough and this is one Brave lady with the overhanging Willows she’s going to start this one left she’s 122 m to the left hand bunker and she’s played a beautiful cut shot has she got enough though unfortunately not it was just 122 m to the flag 100 m to the front edge she doesn’t want to make it boring not at all t bini with a little over 78 M towards the flag probably going to be a grip down control the sandwich take the spin off and like you said Tandy anywhere right P High she tried it once didn’t get away with it and not going to take any more chances Kara tambellini now for a bogey P slightly down towards the hle moves a little from the right and a bit from the left at the end virtually a straight P her long range pting distance control has been exceptional this week she have a little respect for her players and Mark that as she knows there’s put a tussle on you for second place as soon as she’s just um cbra shaking hands sabron Gomez birded 15 birded 16 another chance here at 18 a little sneaky just outside left down the hill just a tear on the left hand side of where this flag is Filters the bank towards the right can see her aiming a little outside the left see quite a few players leave this put short it’s not a Time to Leave a p short didn’t look like it was going to stay short but unfortunately little agonizingly short for sabron Gomez but a great finish at the moment they tie for third position depending what kisama can do three birdies in just a single bugie today and this finish so second substantially bigger check one under the front nine just the lone bogy on the 10th two birdies on the back n still very solid day on CH up as we look at tambellini remarkably only has SEC first double bogey rather of the tournament started playing golf at the age of eight and 16 years later breaks through to win the jobber ladies open her maiden Victory on the ladies European tour in oh what a wonderful 4 days we’ve had here at M Fontaine Golf Club absolutely spectacular golf that’s been on offer tambellini top of the pound closes out with a three under 17 to clinch that seven shot Victory on chisa AMA she’s been super composed as well fantastic 271 to close out her campaign diad Daga well played today to put herself in a Podium Place n besten finishing in a tie 10th great week for her Cassandra Al finishing strong two under for her campaign
