today I want to have a close-up look of the pxg extreme golf balls these are brand new I’ve got them sent to me uh only this week and I’ve been really excited to see how they compare to another golf ball that I’ve got which is the Kirkland Signature golf ball and see what’s inside they’re both three-piece golf balls and I wanted to I wanted to understand how they make up and what their similarities are inside so if we have a closeup look first of all these um this apparently got 338 dimples and um as you’ll see it’s got the Parson extreme golf alignment on the side which is really cool and helps with your pattern and I think the little lineer put across to help you know if your your P straight at the start I certainly use these when I’m on the green do you use them on the green to help with patting you can see that the dims are actually slightly different sizes as well which is probably um some way of helping you with extra distance of the tea now my golf spy did a study and and the pxg golf balls came back as to highest spinning golf balls out of all of the golf balls that they tested in most of their results which probably means that it’s good if you are using it for your short game but if you’re a beginner golfer or a higher handicap golfer it might not be so good in terms of allowing you better control of your uh longer shots but I thought what would be great is let’s have a look inside I’ve got my cutting tool which is very close to having a name don’t forget to vote in my community tab on my page let’s make sure I don’t cut my fingers off done quite well so far what will we think of the inside compared to the Kirkland so let’s have a little look so that’s pretty cool so I like those colors so in comparison to the stricken qar tour which um was a bit of a let down from a threepiece golf ball that’s a strixton they’re both three piece golf B but I don’t think that one is actually there this is the pxg threepiece golf ball so let’s have a close-up look if we can see let’s have a zoom in on there if we can there we go so you can see that the outer layer is actually quite thick that cor core I love that color that’s amazing and what I’ve got here I’ve got Kirkland Signature golf ball so let’s have a little look inside so again very very similar I think in terms of the outer layer is uh is quite thick probably slightly thicker in the Kirkland uh they’ve got that blue second layer and the cores are really bright and vibrant so that’s the pxg versus Kirkland what did you expect to see and um do you use either of these golf balls and how do they perform I’m taking the pxg out in the course this week really looking forward to testing them out but which one should I cut open next let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to subscribe it makes a real difference and I’ll catch you in the next one

  1. My golf spy traced both to the same factory. Kirkland are good but just 10 yards shorter than prov1. PxG are 108 compression so the Q Star vx, or a left dash pro v.

  2. Is the reason for ball manufacturers using contrasting colors for the different layers to aid in quality control? To make it easier to measure the thickness/uniformity of the layers?
