okay everybody let’s welcome Phil Mickelson the captain of High Flyers GC and Bryson dambo the captain of Crushers GC welcome guys so Phil I’m going to start with you last week uh Brendan obviously won live golf Adelaide it was the first trophy for High Flyers GC and High Flyers also had a Podium finish you guys finished in third just take us back there a little bit that moment and how important that is to you last week in Adelaide was a great week for our team and seeing some success and results for Brenan steel was really exciting for us because we’ve been with him multiple days you know every week in the offseason watching him work and grind and work on his game when we have a couple of months off he’s just not having any downtime he’s getting better and better and better and to see the results pay off and to see him play the way he’s able to play the way we’ve seen him play it’s very encouraging and exciting for us as a team and then that was our first Podium so it gave us a lot of momentum and um it was really a special week for so it uh gives us a lot of momentum heading into to Singapore he was highly highly complimentary of you and basically said that he wouldn’t have gotten that win if it hadn’t had been for you um you talked a lot about your your talks over coffee and your encouragement telling him to swing freely do you realize how much of an impact that you have as a leader uh for the rest of the guys on your team well it’s nice of him to say that and it goes both ways because I’ve learned a lot from him driving the golf ball I’ve learned a lot a lot from him on other areas and we’ve uh we just kind of shared things back and forth and that’s what a really good team Dynamic brings is it helps lift each other up and so uh I’m appreciative uh that I’ve been able to help uh help him and he’s done the same for me and it’s it’s been a two-way street brayon The Crushers are first in the team standings you guys won the team championship last year you guys have really found the secret sauce can you tell us what that is oh I don’t know about Secret Sauce um I got to keep it close quarters I’m not going to tell everybody everything but I will say that we’ve got a great bunch of guys uh over here at The Crushers and very lucky to have picked them early on and uh We’ve Stuck Together Like Glue um Gorilla Glue I would say and they’re just solid people more more importantly like you yes we golf great we we do really well on the golf course but they’re just a great bunch of guys to to hang out with and they’re great family men um that’s really what I appreciate about those individuals and uh like Phil said we learn a lot from each other and that’s the cool part about what Liv provides is the ability to uh feed off of each other and learn and grow together uh it’s something that’s not been afforded to us in professional golf other than college and maybe a couple Junior events but it’s certainly a lot of fun and our secret sauce is um I would say personally from my experiences uh the camaraderie we have between us and the trust we have in each other so we are returning to another major agent Market we’re back in Singapore santosa Golf Club how important is Asia to the growth of the game globally and then also to the growth of Liv I’ll start with you Phil yeah being able to come here and bring the professional golf at the highest level to different parts of Asia here in Singapore we’ve been to Hong Kong went to uh Thailand a couple years ago it’s a huge part of the growth of the game I grew up being able to go out and watch uh pj2 players in my backyard growing up in San Diego and uh it was something to be able to see the best players play and be inspired to try to get out there is is a very big part of dreaming when you’re a kid and bringing this level of play to these parts of Asia and seeing um seeing the young kids and their eyes you know the way they look at you and and how much they love golf and how much they want to get out here and so that that’s a big part in the long-term success of the game and as well as the Cool vibe that um kind of transcends the the old generation like myself into the younger generation and trying to get them uh to to to see the great aspects of the game of golf provides and has given so many of us uh to get them involved and hopefully they’ll they’ll experience some of the great things from the game and Brayson what are your thoughts on Asia and live golf it’s awesome to inspire uh younger generation in this part of the globe I think that we’re too lucky being from the states seeing professional golf at a super high level uh at a young age and it’s different over here um being able to provide that opportunity and see like Phil said those kids eyes just light up when we give them a golf ball or sign a a hat for them or whatever it is it’s it’s inspiring not only hopefully to them but to us it reignites us a bit too and allows us to feel like we’re doing something really cool it’s not really been done um the way it I we think it should be in professional golf uh like Liv is currently doing so it’s it’s certainly exciting for for me to see the individual’s uh eyes light up and people and it doesn’t even have to be junior golfers it’s also old adults that are just in love with the game and they see us and they’re so appreciative of us being here um we’re excited to provide that more and more as years uh keep coming great and kick it over to Mike so you two have shot some videos together obviously had a lot of fun uh first of all Bryson just can you just talk about the importance or when you decided to kind of lean heavily into the social video aspect ects of uh especially from your own brand and the teams that is probably like a 15minute answer uh to summarize quite briefly I felt like there was a missing hole in the game of golf where you look at guys like Mr Beast or um David DOI or or whoever it is that are influencing uh a lot of people in the world and I saw that market back in 2020 and I said man if we could tap if the golf industry if the if golf could tap into that just a little bit how many more followers we would get how many more players we would get how the game would just explode if we could just barely tap into a percent or a couple percent of that you know you got Mr B has a couple hundred million followers um and subscribers on one platform he he’s got like close to a billion followers on all of his platforms and you just look at that um and the possibilities that come with garnering that type of audience is so unique that I thought it was not only important but necessary for someone to get involved with the social media space and create cool unique different content that allows this game to grow I know that we’ve uh talked about growing the game uh out here at Liv and we’re doing that globally but we want to continue to enhance that I think what Liv has provided us the ability to do not only from A Team level uh High Flyers and The Crushers like what we’re able to do as a team uh commercially and social media wise over the course of time but uh for us to be able to Showcase uh our unique abilities uh and different ways to Consumers allows us to not only not only showcase our our personalities but also the great level of play we have and the skill set that we have that can hopefully inspire a lot more people to play the game of golf and that’s what I wanted to to try and accomplish is creating that uh Bridge so we can bridge that gap between normal individuals and them seeing the game of golf and what the game of golf can provide from a relationship perspective towards others there’s just this crazy symbiotic relationship that a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to see in their course of their life that golf provides um and so trying to bridge that Gap has been a goal of mine since 2020 and developing a great team around me and playing some good golf and grow growing as a person has all attributed to some of that success but uh it’s definitely a changing landscape if we don’t adapt and move towards that sort of model of um I would say just a social media perspective an influencer model I think we you know golf could get left behind and that’s what I’m scared of I don’t want that to happen that’s why I think Liv is such an awesome uh product and an awesome opportunity for us top golfers to showcase our ability not just on the golf course but on and around the golf course um as an actor CU you’re a pretty good actor right Phil so so Phil you have been doing a lot of videos for several years now do you do you feel like you’re the OG of golf viral videos no I just say a lot of stupid that goes viral I me but Bryson has a beat and understanding on social media that I I’m late to the party that uh I don’t fully understand and I’ve been spending time with him and I’ve been um starting to understand it more and more and I think that’s why we’re so excited here at live is that a lot of the a lot of these opportunities were not an option for us before live like we didn’t have an opportunity for elevated events we didn’t have an opportunity for Equity we didn’t have an opportunity to do our own social media that was all controlled and and uh shot down as we came to live those are all now opportunities every event is an elevated event uh we we all we we have equity and we have the ability to do these social media uh posts and try to transcend the the game of golf to different generations and all of these things were not possible before uh Liv came along and so we’re very appreciative that uh we have that opportunity and his vision is what I’m trying to get better understand because at 53 I don’t fully grasp you know this generation and so forth and the opportunities that social media provides and as I better understand it um I try to I try to do take advantage of a little bit or or do some of it but again he he’s kind of the leader in that area and I’m just he’s been very open about sharing you know his Insight knowledge and helping me um kind of kind of grow as well he still has five Majors on me so I’m working to get better at the game of golf you know you got a lot of time though a lot of time right thanks hey Joy I i’ I’ve got a question for both Phil and and Bryson can I start with Phil uh the the 13th whole last Sunday I mean we were all gasping as to what happened in the bunker but what was more important for me personally was how you came out after that and made four birdies and finished uh for all the golfers the amateur golfers who go through such you know incidents regularly can you just share your thought process as to what you were thinking after that uh after that whole and how did you just regroup together and made those four birdies after that yeah that was a difficult moment for me and and it was uh it was not to use his team’s name but it was crushing because we had you know made a made a move and I was playing well and I had a nice couple birdies early on and then I went back and forth in the bunker and left them in and made an eight I try to to just be present if it’s not easy especially when you make a big mistake like that I tried not to do too much I tried to make a couple of pars which I did um and just stabilized around until I felt a little bit better and then um after three pars I made a birdie on 17 made a birdie on 18 and started to turn around but I had to be patient and I had to kind of stay in the present because there was a lot of Mo motivation still for me to do well for our team to do well and um I I I feel I just felt awful that uh I hurt our team so bad in that moment and I hurt my round and my opportun in that moment but um you know I just never gave up and just really tried as hard as I could and over the course of the next you know 13 holes I was able to to get it turned around and Bryson uh last year I remember seeing you out at the range even in this heat and humidity hitting balls after balls uh and then something turned around with Singapore and the tournaments after that can you just you know you remember that time when you yourself said you were struggling so much with your game and this last one year what it has meant to you well a lot of it has to do with the team that I have around me The Crushers Paul Charles Bon um even the caddies and just the people the support group that I have around me it was it was a brutal time last year and to just keep it short and sweet um I didn’t really like golf at that point in time I was struggling to figure it out and understand what was going on and having the success that I’ve had and not being able to perform at the level than I know I could it was a weird mental feeling for me but having that team around me just continue to push and support me to persevere on um it’s not how many times you get knocked down but how many times you get back up after you get knocked down and that’s the mentality I kept taking into last year and eventually a couple things clicked my swing uh then got some equipment that really worked for me really the big transformation was the equipment piece for me and then I go play well at Green Brier and on from there and it’s been a lot more stable because of the equipment that I have and the trust that I put in myself now and um certainly the the level of golf is not exactly where I want it to be but I know that I’m not too far off and uh it’s it’s all because of the team and the passion that they actually had for me to to get better it wasn’t a it’s okay buddy it was like Bryson like go get it go figure it out do it do what you need to do to go figure it out so uh that motivation and that team aspect is is really what transformed my mindset into playing some better Golf and if not some of the best golf in my career and Bron a stat that uh you know I was just seeing Crushers are 57 under power for their Sunday rounds and that is 14 shots better than the next place team and it again it started here in Singapore when you I don’t know if you remember you were you guys were 20 underpar in the final round and on over here in Singapore yeah seven shots better than any other team and that was a run that has that you have continued till this year can you just put any uh you know finger to what what do what you guys do well on Sundays oh man it’s probably a lot deeper than this but I I feel like I’ve got uh four well three other players that are just super consistent they don’t shoot crazy overp par they don’t always go super deep but they’re very consistent and they shoot under Park quite a bit um I’m kind of the semi- sporadic one it can go super deep or you know not be not too good and I think that’s just kind of what having a solid team uh means you’ve got some good consistent players and then you’ve got a couple that can shoot really low and doesn’t really throw you out of the the picture but I think the four scores counting has really helped us because we’re a pretty consistent team and we always seem to shoot under par and get better as the tournament progresses we get more comfortable with the course we understand the greens better we’re more of a development team like like we get better over the course of time I feel like um that’s just their games in general that’s what Charles does really well Paul does really well and Bon we all just seem to understand the course better and and I think it’s just because of our passion that we all have um for wanting to play the best golf we possibly can uh but consistently consistency definitely plays a role with with our team okay over there right uh this question is for both Phil and Bryson so obviously Li is into its third season now you know so what do you think is the future of Liv in you know the the next 5 to 10 years wow uh you want me to start with okay the future of Liv we know it’s going to be here bigger better and and better than ever before um it’s just going to keep continue to keep growing over the next 5 to 10 years where I see it heading I think there may be uh an opportunity for um this to be just from from an audience perspective even bigger um you’re going to see a lot more interactions from teams I think the competition between the teams will get heightened uh the rivalries will get heightened there’s already some sort of rivalries going on right now but as the years go on and people are going to want to win championships at world team championship at the end of the year last year the Crushers did I think there’s going to be a lot of um rivalries to to be produced uh that you’ll see and the stories to be told uh I think will be pretty pretty insane over the next 5 to 10 years Jo yeah I think that um there there’s a lot of things that uh that are going to transpire over the next five or 10 years and um I’m very bullish and excited about what that means for live golf but um what but there’s also a lot of uncertainty I think that things that I do know is that I think the quality of players will continue to get better each year I think that the ability and and the sites that we move throughout the world will continue to um uh excite players and excite fans so we’ll be going to to more countries outside the outside the United States that that really are are starving for world-class professional golf um and we’ll have a lot more receptions like we had at Adelaide we had um you know the with the Singapore and the tourism Department getting involved and loving the event that transpired last year and wanting us to come back um that seems to be the case right now where a lot of uh countries are are negotiating and trying to uh to get a live event there and so I see the global game of golf growing at an extremely high level um I think that’s exciting for everyone involved in the game because we are going to reach markets that we didn’t reach before I think it’s going to inspire more golf courses Inspire more Manu manufacturers selling clubs and Equipment but also spiring young kids to try to play golf professionally um I I just see that the game of golf is going to grow on a much more Global basis because of um the excitement and and the presence that live golf has okay Kim hi guys um so you saw the first live golfer win a major last year and you know for Bryson you were Contender at austa uh both of you have experienced winning Majors as well so what would it take you know to see a live golfer win another major again yeah um more Great Golf I think as live golfers are prepared as ever to play major championships allows us the opportunity to have some a little bit more time every once in a while to get ready for those Majors um but I think uh we all have the Firepower to play well and and win a major championship um there’s a lot of major Champions over here that know how to do it and get it done so it’s just a matter of time yeah I think it’s I think it’s just U inevitable that um there’s so many great players on this tour that uh they’ll they’ll continue to win Majors thank you there’s one more over there Bryson uh just given the week you had at austa just wondering have you allowed yourself to like change your uh change or basically the debate about 54 versus 72 holes do you think you would rather play more 72 holes uh whatever the competition is the competition is whether it’s six rounds of golf or whether it’s one round of golf you still got to go out and hit the best shots you possibly can every single time to me it doesn’t matter um if you’re the one that’s going to hit the best shots out there and make most putts uh you’re the one you’re going to be the one to win doesn’t matter if it’s necessarily 54 or 72 or 6 days or one day um so I’m I’m great with whatever but isn’t there a merit for practice makes you perfect I mean four four rounds playing more four four rounds regularly gives you a bit better shot at it uh everybody has an opinion on that I mean you you certainly seem to have a opinion on four rounds as being better and for me uh I I came back with after covid I didn’t play golf for a month and a half two months and I went out and almost won the colonial without any tournament golf so that kind of hopefully answers that any others no okay great good luck this week guys thank you so much

  1. Your not inspiring golf. Your just showing money lust. Its a poor standard in my opinion and just like watching a lads golf holiday. The money aspect is obscene. Just a money grab. Just my opinion

  2. Why not just stop with the Hate coming from PGA….its not helping the game or people! The PGA like the U.S. loves to bash China, Russia, Saudi, while it supports Genocide in Gaza!

U.S. people, it’s your money being given away because of Israeli Lobbyists……who Own U.S., UK Politicians!

You as an individual are just repeating the Propaganda……word for word…..perhaps you can step back….and just enjoy good golf…..and not judge people you know nothing about.

  3. I love LIV, but I don't think this team stuff works – golf has always been, and I reckon always will be, all about individuals competing with each other – with the exception of things like the Ryder Cup, and even then it 's really about the individual matches on the last day.

  4. Love you guys. Liv kept me going in a 3 day ICU and 2 months on couch recovery. Im into golf again because of you guys. Thank you!

  5. I'n in my 50s and LIV rekindled my love for golf after not playing for 12 years. I felt golf got too stuffy and our golf heroes were too out of reach. Glad to see how LIV is changing the script just a wee bit to keep things exciting!

  6. Hopefully this cancer will be less and less in major championships (real golf tournaments) as their rankings keep going down

  7. Brysons youtube stuff is great and growing game. But thats not the same as Liv. Liv is boring and most tournaments are a total bore fest with a few 1000 people watching.

  8. These guys are two great examples of what a pro golf team is capable of with a good captain. I'll say, there are some teams who don't seem to have the best captains and they're always at the back of the field every week. Biggest difference I've seen between all the teams so far over two full seasons now, is that the captain makes all the difference. You can have incredible players on your team but if the captain isn't a good leader who can inspire their best when it counts, you just don't get anywhere.

    Team golf is f'n awesome.

  9. LIV is going to take golf to a better place

The curated BS product offered by the PGA is so fake, gross, and hypocritical. It's amazing how the people who can run the PGA organization could be so out of touch with reality.

  10. 6:30 Bryson's done a great job with content on his channel and the Crushers' channel. As one example, his hilarious 9 hole match vs Phil has 2.4 million views.

  11. As a person who has recently gotten into golf I can say that LIV is absolutely brilliant for engaging new fans and surely will grow the game of golf!
