Golf Etiquette: Tee Times

[Music] [Applause] [Music] well hello and welcome to today’s very first segment of golf etiquette 101 videos my name is Paul Gomez do you know that even the most experienced of golfers still gets nervous and a little anxious on that first tea box while we can’t hit that first ball for you today’s etiquette tip might help alleviate some of your anxiety your round of golf has a very specific time associated with it and we would like for you to think about this round of golf like you would a doctor’s appointment or an airplane ride when you check in at least 30 minutes in advance that gives you time to prepare or warm up and get rid of a little bit of that stress that you might experience on the first tea box nobody wants to rush to the first tea box if your tea time is 8:08 a.m. we expect you’ll be striking the ball at 8:08 a.m. if you missed that time the doctor may have moved on the gates may have closed and the airplane is taken off so please do your best to be at the golf shop at least 30 minutes in advance you know golf is a game of etiquette and courtesy being timely is respectful not just to your golfing buddies but also to the people have the 816 tea time so remember good golf etiquette makes for a great golf experience
