hi everybody welcome I’m coach Carolyn
Le better certified instructor and
former professional Tour player and
today we are back in my hallway and
we’re going to talk about shallowing
your golf swing and having a really
great drill for people that struggle
with that slice that left starting ball
that is coming hard back into the right
side of the rough or missing the Fairway
so let’s jump into it this is something
super simple you will need a golf club
but you just grab one from your garage
and you need a wall and that is it so
let’s go all right so for this one I
want to make sure that you guys turn
your Club around I mean you don’t have
to turn your Club around but if you
don’t then um you’re going to have to
have some discussions with your
significant other because it’s probably
going to take the wall out and also
let’s not do that to our clubs we love
our clubs more than we love our walls
anyways at least I do so make sure we
turn it around so we’re grabbing the
club here at the top oh hi Mama Bear oh
we got a guest speaker yes we’re going
to go outside in a second mom’s just
going to finish this drill okay so we’re
going to turn a club around and we’re
going to grab it just on top of the head
and then we’re going to set up
and we’re going to swing the club
back and we’re going to try to touch it
on the top of the back swing so we’re
touching the top of the back swing and
now the really important part comes is
you keep that that grip traveling down
the wall until probably hands parallel
to the floor halfway down your down
swing so again we’re going up we’re
touching the wall with the grip and then
we keep coming down that wall and we’re
not cuz if we were to come over the top
if we were to come and rotate and you
know wanted to hit our little slice
there um then we would come off see when
I start rotating my body this club comes
off immediately it does not stay against
the wall but if I start dropping my
right shoulder and if I start
transitioning correctly with my lower
body I can actually keep that grip on
the wall and then from here we can let
the club travel and let the club bottom
out and let the club actually release
through and go into our nice finish so
this is a super super simple drill but
it will really give you that feeling to
drop that right shoulder drop that right
elbow into your right side and it’s
going to keep you on that wall and the
longer you can stay on that wall again
just about until halfway down in your
downswing is perfect and that’s really
going to help you get rid of that slice
whenever your ball curves to the right
it’s a slice you have an open Club face
to your path and it usually starts to
the left so this will really help again
grab the club turn it upside down swing
it back turn your grip and put it onto
the wall and then keep that grip onto
the wall as you’re transitioning
laterally to the Target until halfway
down right here and we just Let It Drop
and that’ll create a much more into out
pattern and we really really help you
get that feeling you can do this at home
you can do it in a hotel room you can do
it anywhere where you have a wall even
if your driving range has a wall
sometimes these little stalls have walls
in between do it this is an awesome gel
I love this and it’s helped so many of
my students students so try it let me
know in the bottom how it goes I cannot
wait to hear your comments and I’m
