for the nation welcome to Raider Nation news today  
it is our second Christmas of the year it is draft 
day hope everybody having a great Thursday night  
wherever you guys are at I hope you guys are just 
as excited as I am those coming on in y’all know  
the routine those new in here I’m going to learn 
you real quick break them thumbs Hammer that sub

reactions we are joined tonight by my brother Jake 
of the snake Sports Talk Show brother how are you  
I’m doing fantastic man thank God that we finally 
have draft night because we have been waiting way  
too long for this it’s finally here and I am 
super excited for draft KN to be here and let’s  
see exactly what’s going to be shaking up here 
tonight I’m all here for it I’m incredibly excited  
for this to get underway um let me just do a quick 
roll call vixon one of my childhood friends what’s  
good I am I am 360 black what’s good Mister what’s 
good um John B wow that Echo hold up let’s fix

now thumbs up thumbs down I know we had this issue  
the other day I’m pretty sure I rectified it um 
I think there was another mixer that was just  
running at the same time so that’s gone we’re

um some things on here some things on the screen 
tonight are going to be a little bit smaller than  
normal because we have to fit a lot of things on 
here we are going to be joined by other people  
throughout the live um Joe origo he should be on 
he’s going to be at one of these uh Draft parties  
in Vegas tonight but he will be popping on up at 
some point so stay tuned for that that and then  
we have another guest uh that covers another team 
that we’ll be pulling up later on tonight as well  
so yeah it is draft night we are about 28 minutes 
away from the official start of the 2024 NFL draft  
I’m incredibly excited I’m here for it there’s 
been a lot of things that are going on right now  
um in regards to news throughout the NFL for those 
that haven’t seen the Chicago Bears uh released  
some pictures I guess they’re trying to make a 
proposal for a new stadium and the stadium looks  
incredibly similar to uh a certain a certain home 
a certain um what do you call it the giant Roomba  
Off the Strip is that what you call it yep I call 
it the giant Roomba because it’s got too much  
silver and lack dust bro this stadium that the 
Bears are proposing I think the same architect  
that created uh Allegiance Stadium just gave A 
New Concept for the Chicago Bears potential uh new  
Stadium it looks exactly like a legion the [ __ ] 
is absolutely disgusting like like dude pretty  
much was like just as brain dead as Hollywood 
trying to come up with with new ideas and is  
recycling Allegient to make it pretty much be um 
I the mid the Allegiant in Midway I guess like it  
just looks insane and the only good thing if that 
actually was were to be approved like you would  
bare f fans would could finally be happy because 
you’ll probably have a quarterback that finally  
throws for over 3,000 yards in the season but well 
it’d be crazy too because I kind of feel for like  
the grounds Keepers that are like all around there 
in that whole entire area because there’s three  
uh multi-purpose fields that they built there 
and then have two ball fields in front of the  
stadium which is kind of crazy because it’s just 
like who would end up be playing baseball games  
there anybody that’s there in that Lakeside area 
so I kind of feel for the grounds Keepers up on  
this one it’ probably be a lot to really kind of 
handle and take care of but I mean hey if they’re  
paying you well enough it’s gonna be crazy um in 
other news Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman uh  
Trey Hendrickson was apparently not happy with his 
contract and is asking to be traded Bengals have  
killed that noise quick fast in a hurry they said 
they do not plan on trading him so uh for those  
that were having thoughts about this just get it 
out of your heads now it’s not like it’s another  
guy that we need especially with the money that 
he’s looking to get um what else there have been  
obviously we we talked about this countless times 
this is lying season different stories have come  
out apparently now the San Francisco 49ers are 
interested in potentially trading up and would  
be willing to part ways with either Brandon iuk 
or Debo Samuel for a early round draft pick I’m  
not sure how true it is um I talked to Joe about 
it earlier today and he asked me would I pull the  
trigger would I trade back and uh would I trade 
back give up 13 to take somebody of Iuka dbo  
Samuel’s caliber maybe ESPN also put out another 
mock draft earlier this afternoon and they have  
us actually moving up 13 excuse me 13 we stay pack 
it has us drafting to Le faga then we trade up to  
the number 27 spot which belongs to the Arizona 
Cardinals we’d be trading this year’s second and  
next year’s second for that 27th overall pick 
and it would land us quarterback Michael penck  
Jr something I definitely would consider um look 
we technically would still have eight draft picks  
we would just have two in the first I’m here for 
it I would absolutely be like okay first round  
we’re good now we look forward to round three and 
go the route of either a corner or receiver but I  
would absolutely pull the trigger on a deal like 
that right now uh here in the Giants Colts Rams  
may move up as well the giants has been has 
been a topic of discussion for like the last  
couple of weeks and they want Drake May um is 
seems to be the thing or they can move up and  
try to get Marvin Harrison Jr the wide receiver 
out of the the Ohio State University I’m not  
sure which route they’re like which way they’re 
trying to go because realistically they can get  
the services of a quarterback they can get out of 
Daniel Jon’s contract after this coming season um  
it’s very hard to tell or see exactly what it is 
New York football Giants are trying to do we know  
that Jake’s Chargers are at five there have been 
Rumblings of the Minnesota Vikings trading up with  
the Chargers to potentially get their quarterback 
in JJ McCarthy um there was another rumor that  
came out yesterday of Jim harball potentially 
shipping out Justin Herbert which is definitely  
not going to happen that’s $129 million cap hit 
I don’t think anybody’s dumb enough to take a  
cap hit like that so um lumpy Shar what’s 
good one of the dopest names in the nation  
AP go get pinnick or Mitchell get a tackle in the 
second if I’m being honest I’m I’m here for it um  
yeah they mentioned about it a couple times like 
right now like I’ve said it before you know in the  
pre-draft um Outlook is that the three picks that 
we have right now between Chicago Washington and  
New England I think we kind of have an idea and 
an obvious um sense of who they’re picking Because  
by the time you get to one and two you kind of 
already know what their their decision is going to  
be New England’s going to be a very interesting 
one depending on what you know new head coach  
Gerard Mayo what he ends up speaking out about 
on from that perspective and then what the craft  
family are going to basically do um with that big 
time three pick because it could be anything up  
to this point but they need quarterback they 
need a playmaker they need something but the  
other three picks four five and six that I’ve 
said Destiny’s in their hands because I think  
they’ve got by far the best draft spot if you’re 
looking at it from the Arizona Cardinals they just  
asked for you know three first round picks 
to potentially acquire the their number four  
pick which to me could end in two ways one either 
somebody is going to really buy into that cell or  
they may end up use that as a blockage kind of um 
kind of rumor in order for them to keep everybody  
off to keep to get Marvin Harrison Jr but then 
the Chargers yeah like we mentioned the trade  
between the Minnesota Vikings there several other 
teams too that are also in the middle of this mix  
to maybe potentially get five but it’s basically 
whomever that they decide to pick whether it be  
wide receiver tight end offensive tackle uh 
Center at some point but I mean there’s a  
lot that’s really kind of in the hands for Jim 
Harbaugh and the Chargers and then you got the  
Giants in the same time too whether they do decide 
to get a playmaker to really help out this offense  
whether it is or it’s not with Daniel Jones or 
you kind of rip the Band-Aid off and you end up  
getting a a quarterback in the middle of that mix 
so I just feel like there’s three obvious ones and  
then there’s three that there is a lot that’s that 
there’s Destiny in their hands and so depending  
on how they really shake this thing up those are 
going to be those three picks that I would watch  
out for as well what do you think realistically 
in regards to Drake May and what do you think  
the commanders are set to do at the second overall 
pick do you think that it’s going to be Jaden Dan  
or do you think because of the smoke that came 
out recently in regards to Jaden Daniels his  
camp and the Commander’s front office that they 
may just bypass it and go for Drake May instead  
well it’s kind of questionable up to this point 
because the fact that you know the Washington  
commanders last season they were last as far as 
their ranks between their offensive linemen all  
throughout the league and they had no like they 
had absolutely no justice whatsoever when it came  
to trying to protect their quarterback we saw how 
many times that Sam Howell had to run for his life  
and then also try to throw out the ball as much 
as he possibly could people still kind of rip him  
and saying that he’s not a really good quarterback 
I’m not gonna I’m not going to basically you know  
condemn him for basically having a horrible 
offensive line that just couldn’t protect him  
while he still had uh an x amount of um weapons 
that were there with him to kind of build around  
so I think to me personally if you you go the 
jayen Daniels route the thing that you’re going  
to get is one you’re going to get a quarterback 
that’s very elusive a guy that very much can run  
out the pocket whenever he’s you know whenever 
he’s in danger or whenever he’s running for his  
life and then be able to throw accurate throws 
midfield if not a little bit more down 20 plus  
yards but you know again things could definitely 
change but I’ve been saying this about Drake may  
as well is that I do think there is some upside 
to Drake May’s game many of the comps have  
in that he’s basically he looks and he basically 
plays similarly like Justin Herbert type and  
especially with the size and the bodybuild but the 
only problem of it is if you take him if you’re  
the Washington commanders you take him at two you 
better get a left tackle in the middle of that mix  
because in some of the film studies that I’ve done 
on Drake may he basically is as stiff as a stone  
he holds on to the ball for too long is trying to 
make you know different decisions and whatnot now  
he did not have the dynamic receivers uh amongst 
what Jay and Daniels did in LSU but if you don’t  
have somebody covering his Blind Side and he’s 
holding on the ball for too long I feel like that  
could be potential trouble you know throughout 
the entirety of the season and maybe potentially  
throughout his uh his playing career I feel like 
if you’re Washington I mean depending on it I mean  
rumors have been kind of spreading everywhere 
this has been such a tsunami of of rumors that  
have been kind of moving around and all that but 
I think for Camp it’ll be interesting to kind of  
see how this goes but I don’t think they really 
shut the door with Jaden Daniels up to this point  
because if you got a horrific offensive line think 
about it this way the commanders flirted with the  
idea of trying to acquire Lamar Jackson when his 
contract was up before the Baltimore Ravens went  
and extended him so they wanted a Lamar Jackson 
esque type player that could be elusive that could  
move out give you the accurate throws you’ve got 
really good weapons outside of tight end if you’re  
the commanders but if you’re going to get a guy 
that can move be elusive then you could start to  
work with building the offensive line as years 
go because you have a quarterback that’s kind  
of saving you that time but I think Dan Quinn 
what he should do is build more toughness and  
kind of get him a little bit beefed up because 
if you’ve seen some of the hits in LSU that jayen  
Daniels took he had the inability to keep the 
football in his hands right every time he got  
hit hard the football was coughed out and so um 
but if you get Drake May it’s as I’ve said you  
got an accurate deep ball thrower but again I’m 
questionable because of the fact of look at how  
many North Carolina quarterbacks have basically 
succeeded in this league we saw what happened  
with Mitch Tris clearly didn’t work out he’s 
now a backup Sam Howell they tried to give him  
a chance I still think that Seattle will give 
him some sort of chance if it doesn’t work out  
with Gino Smith but he’s basically a backup what 
will happen in you know the destiny with Drake  
May is beyond me but I think if Cliff kingsberry 
really does work this well think about it Cliff  
kingsberry had a guy like that in Patrick Mahomes 
even though he was a little more elusive but he  
threw the Deep ball he did everything that he was 
supposed to if he could work with that with Drake  
May it’ll be very interesting moving forward 
but I I’m the kind I’m glass half full I don’t  
really want to shut the door up on anything but 
if it does kind of come up and shake a little  
bit expect some teams to kind of start making the 
phone calls and make some ways to try to get their  
draft pick salute to David Z on the $50 Banger

the week I’ve been on Joe’s live we talked about  
it now the day is finally here so we are doing a

to be one of the greatest NFL drafts in the book 
because I mean we had the 2020 draft where we had  
really good like five really good quarterbacks 
that came out of that draft class and then not  
to mention too we had some very impactful 
wide receivers some defensive players that  
also made some noise but I this is different to 
me the rumors have been like tsunamis like it’s  
been everywhere and you know you you it just kind 
of feels like and nothing against you know many  
people that are in the sports industry but it 
just kind of feels like we just get so much of  
this stuff from our quote unquote draft guys 
that like we don’t know we don’t know what’s  
gonna happen tonight and so it’s just like I’m 
excited I’ve already got my popcorn ready dude  
I I’m ready for a show that’s really what I am if 
you’re gonna give me a rock show in Detroit man it  
better be well worth it that’s going to knock my 
socks off I mean come on Salute to Bambino he he

the Chicago Bears are now officially on the  
clock all right so yeah the Chicago Bears last 
in the NFC North you know and like I said they  
they’ve been so good at defense and especially 
after they had acquired Montes sweat last  
season where he ended up acquiring like he ended 
up accumulating six sacks in two games I mean the  
guy is just an absolute unbelievable beast but the 
fact of the matter is is that Chicago they finally  
threw away that 1950s television that they’ve 
been stuck on for so long which they were big up  
on defense every single year this time is the time 
to start pivoting to offense if you told me three  
months ago that this was the perfect destination 
for a guy like Caleb Williams I would have been  
laughing at you but they got DeAndre Swift they 
got Keenan Allen they got Gerald Everett they  
started accumulating a lot of offensive pieces 
and especially too you got guys that are going  
to be in their first second or third year in the 
offensive line so I feel like now we already know  
that this is the obvious pick Caleb Williams 
unbelievable Talent I’m not going to say he’s a  
generational Talent at all we did that with Trevor 
Lawrence look how that paid off but I think he is  
the talent that the Chicago Bears need to at the 
very least um the very least try to boost up in  
that division with knowing how SM how smart 
and how patient the Green Bay Packers are the  
Detroit Lions just got to the NFC championship 
game and then you got Minnesota who’s got Picks  
11 and 23 are they going to be tradable so lots 
and lots of things that are happening but if you  
are the Bears you got to get the best one that 
you know is going to shake up this NFC North  
div isue absolutely like we know that the hell the 
light the light just went like flashed on and off  
they’re actually showing when he broke out uh when 
he came in for benched uh Spencer Rattler in that  
red river rivalry in 2021 and shortly after follow 
Lincoln Riley over to USC this guy was very quick  
on his feet in that game I was high obviously you 
guys know I’m a huge Texas Fan so I was incredibly  
disappointed they’re showing his um his footwork 
and um his arm strength right now uh through a  
couple different video highlights uh from when

did not have a great defense at all they’ve been 
such an offensive Powerhouse but you can’t admit  
man I mean 93 passing touchdowns in two seasons

passing yards leader at USC at 40 uh 4,919 like 
look give the man credit where credits due it’s  
more of look he’s a good player but that all that
