YouTube Hello golfers and welcome to the
Jess Frank Golf Academy YouTube channel
here at the beautiful Deer Creek Golf
Club and now I simplified my golf swing
and now you can too this changed my
golfing life forever and I credit my
good friend Andy plumber who helped me
with this about eight years ago insane m
l changed my game and now I don’t have
to practice a ton and I can still play
really well so here we go so what it was
was I was in the beginning I was turning
my shoulders too flat lifting my arms up
coming down steep tilting back hitting
it fat it was a mess it was a a train
wreck I was ready to walk away give up
the game it was no fun however what I
discovered was that one simple word
changed my life and what that was was
tilting of my shoulders so you see this
here when I went back I was turning
moving my low point back you got to
remember my low point is underneath my
left shoulder here that’s my low Point
here right here boom if I bring that arm
down straight down that is my low point
my low Point’s not at the ball it’s
underneath my left foot so why would I
ever turn my body Flex my arms and move
myself so far away from the low point
that is insanely ridiculous so here we
go so what I discovered was not only the
word tilt but understanding that your
center of your left shoulder is a center
of your swing not your spine so what
you’re going to do is you’re going to
take your center of your left shoulder
and you’re going to turn it around a
stable spine so you can see my head my
spine my upper Center my lower Center so
when I do that you can see here is I do
not move off the golf ball I stay right
on top of the golf ball that is huge you
can see my shoulders have turned into
the circle I’ve got neck tilt my
weight’s on my left foot my arms are
straight now from here I can bring my
arms down now look at where my club is
here I’ve got unbelievable shaftan I got
my arm straight in perfect position as I
come down my low point now look at my
low point it’s in front of the golf ball
in front of the golf ball and that’s
what we want we want you to hit the ball
first then the turf not the turf first
then the ball I know many of you out
there struggle with hitting fat shots
and to do this what I again what I
learned was when I left tilt in the back
swing and I turn extend and turn my body
you can see how centered I am here left
tilting bringing my arms down you can
see where my shaft angle is here I’ve
got my hands forward my weight forward
my arms are coming down my low Point’s
in front of the ground look at the low
point the low Point sit 6 in in front of
the ball most people have it 6 in behind
the ball so when I do that I’m going
extending tilting and turning tilt okay
shoulders work around in a circle around
my spine stable spine I come down
hitting the low Point bringing the club
all the way back around again so you can
see that not only do I extend tilt and
turn on my back swing but I’m also
extending tilting and turning on my
follow through and so just that simp Le
explanation of understanding the word
tilt understanding how I do not turn my
body my head everybody’s like how do you
keep your head still how do you do that
so well because I understand that there
extension tilt turn of my spine my arms
are straight I can move forward my low
Point’s forward and I can hit the ball
every single time so here we go we’re
going to hit one
here oh my gosh
I can’t hit it any better than that that
is a perfect push draw out there about
165 in the air hit the green out there
it’s about as good a shot as I can hit
and all I did was I
understood the Tilt the weight forward
the arms straight moving the weight
forward handle forward hitting the
ground in front of the ball boom it’s
amazing I don’t have to do anything else
it’s so simple it’s simple it’s
ridiculously simple it’s easy for you
guys now and I know a lot of you this
has helped a lot of you out there
because I get the awesome messages I
appreciate you guys commenting liking
sharing you know it’s awesome I
appreciate the sport out there my
channel is growing thank you so much
because I know it’s helping everyone out
there it’s making the game simple and
easy simple and
easy this is how I change my game this
is how you can change your game just
make it simple here we go I know that’s
what all of you want you want to go out
to the golf course have a better time
enjoy the game hit more solid golf shots
and this can help you so I’m going to go
ahead and do that again and I love doing
this slow
motion
tilt weight
forward and there there’s my finish here
we
go oh again highy
draw beautiful and what’s awesome about
it it’s out of the center of the club
face every single time it’s not in the
toe it’s not in the heel it’s not thin
it’s not fat it’s so so easy so I’m
going to have the camera down the line
I’ll show you from down the line angle
and that’s going to be able to help you
too all right golfers now I got the down
the line version this is awesome to see
both face on down the line again I say
it in all my videos I highly recommend
you videotape your swing face on down
the line you can look at your swing and
you can be able to fix your swing
by looking at the parts that need fixing
instead of worrying about all the other
variables that don’t count really so
here we go so again the one word that
changed my game the tilting how I
changed my own game and how you can
change yours here we go back
swing down
swing into the back of the ball and
around here so you can see this here so
when I do this I’m left
tilting left
tilting standing and turning my body my
hands work around my body okay my elbows
are together here they’re not flying
apart my wrists aren’t bent I don’t have
a cup left wrist and my arm my clubs on
over here I have tons of structure in my
back swing you can see this right here
then on the way down I made a full turn
now I’m not the most flexible and
inshape golf instructor out there let’s
just say that but knowing the right
mechanics can make that happen so here
we go so here here’s my back swing so
you can see I make a pretty solid turn
my knees are changing Flex my hips have
turned my arms are around me coming back
down weights forward back around so I’m
going to go ahead and hit a shot here
and so how this all changed my
game oh again
again I’ve said this before I don’t
practice a lot I just do these shots for
the YouTube channel I don’t hit a lot of
balls here I’m teaching all day I give a
couple demonstrations but I’m able to
repeat it over and over and over again
because it’s a systematic approach to
the game it’s not oh I’m going to turn
my grip I’m going move my thumb I’m
going to do this do that blah blah blah
all these crazy nonsensical words that
are out there you get a system in place
you can get better at golf and so again
so to explain this again I have my left
shoulder my center of my swing is my
left shoulder is my front shoulder this
is my radius right my left arm is my
radius Rus so what I’m doing is I have a
stable axis okay I’m not shifting my
weight to the right not shifting and
turning and pulling my arms down I’m
making a tilted angle here I’m taking my
left shoulder and turning it around a
stable axis so my head does not go up it
doesn’t go down it doesn’t go sideways
it doesn’t go forwards it’s stable
stable spine stable axis so when we do
that
stable spine stable axis weight
forward so you can see every single time
when I swing it’s the same I’m not
trying different things on every swing
I’m making the same procedural effects
here so here we go so left
tilt oh my gosh again solid I can’t hit
it any better than that it’s a solid
seven iron up in the air again I think
most most of you will benefit from
tilting left tilting extending tilting
and turning your body the shoulder the
shoulders in a circle around your spine
arm straight weight forward bringing the
arms down you can see how I’m not back
here the club’s not coming underneath
not swinging way to the right you know I
hear that a lot everybody’s like well
you’re supposed to swing out to one
o00 and not really you’re supposed to
swing on an arc if you have the grid you
understand that coming down back into
the back of the ball Club goes around
remember Club face has built in draw
there’s a hook face here that angle
right there is a hook face very
important that way you don’t have to
twist your hands all over the place that
creates inconsistent contact tilting
back trying to flip your hands over so I
try another one here left tilt remember
I do a lot of practice swings I do a lot
of practice swings a lot of practice
swings
okay I don’t hit a ton of balls I do
more practice swings than hit balls hit
one more
here can’t hit it any better than
that I promise you you do this it’s how
I simplified my golf swing made it
better and how you can too and I’ll see
