front of the home crowd in Australia our
Premier event in live golf and to end
like it did it is just so fitting I mean
it was just I’m still on a high to be
honest with you I don’t really know
where I’m at and what I’m doing but uh
that’s just how awesome that was you
know I think the first play playoff hole
I thought oh boy oh boy this is The
Stingers this is the stingers and then
cam leash they just delivered that was
so clutch of a putt from from leash and
that bunker shot from cam was just this
is what they practice for these are the
moments they practice for can you can
you we’re looking at our first team
playoffs can we just talk about how
challenging a playoff is your body is
exhausted your mind is exhausted the
fans are applying pressure on you here
some uh clips from it I think the
hardest part of the entire playoff is
before it starts you have to choose only
one guy or two guys if you don’t if you
want to choose them to play instead of
yourself that is not easy to do with
four world class players on your team
especially when the rest of your team
are all playing so well I mean both
stinger and Ripper Team all four players
are playing so well I mean it’s got to
have you know it becomes to a point
where it’s like who has the most
chemistry and trust with each other
isn’t it yeah and then cam hit it in
trouble there couldn’t really get it
over the tree like we thought he might
be able to had to try and hook it around
it but then Cam doing what cam does
right
here now what do you think goes into the
mind of the team as they’re selecting
their two front men For a Moment Like
This what what is the strategy
everybody’s great right it wasn’t the
best scores of the day cuz cam was
highest score of Ripper GC today so but
you can’t as Captain not put yourself on
it you want to lead by example and
you’re a major Champion as well and then
uh I don’t think Louie gave him much
Choice Dean was a hot hand he won our
previous event honestly I think you know
with Cam and his putting and how good he
is under the pressure during a playoff
you want someone to be able to handle
that pressure to make those putts that
is important how do you not go with Cam
Smith who is the best Putter and Leash
this putt was huge clutch absolutely
clutch well a put he made late in the
round his final hole I believe for par
was enormous
right there yeah I I mean I just thought
the crowd reaction was great they it was
a home crowd they were booing booing the
South Africans they were cheering them
when things didn’t go their way you’re
to expect that you just don’t face it
that often in golf especially as an
international player soan how was it out
there now standing way over here I could
I felt like I was standing right near
the action I know we talk about the fans
a lot but for good reason how was it
being right there in the action with the
fans I tell you this was just so special
uh the experience and being inside the
loes was just phenomenal you can’t
script it like I said and the energy
that you get from the crowd you cannot
put it into words you simply can’t
they’re so passionate about golf here
they’re so passionate about supporting
their home team this is literally the
perfect day for Australian golf it was
absolutely it here’s that second uh
Round Here of the playoff yeah yeah this
well at this point uh once Louie missed
the playoff was essenti over even though
Dean made that that was a great moment
from Dean it was but yeah then the both
Ripper had two putts each to win if they
if they needed them which they
ultimately needed nobody made that putt
from behind the hole today the entire
day but you you it’s hard to describe
and I know we talk for a living we’re
supposed to use words properly it’s hard
to describe just how enormous of an
event this was for to live golf for
Australian golf this is now the premier
golf event in Australia no matter what
the organizing bodies might want to tell
you and it and the fans absolutely
adopted it Liv golf was trending on X
this evening and it was past midnight in
America in all the states so it’s it’s
pretty
amazing and look at this look at this
celebration here uh this is the exact
moment that Ripper GC knew and here’s
the celebration the champagne showers oh
they know how entire team here they know
how to celebrate and then topped off
with uh of course a uh brilliant shoy uh
from cam Smith there which Jerry you you
promis you may do uh tonight oh yeah are
you are you you might hold that promise
for you’re looking around for a beer now
yeah we’re going to do it on the air we
there’s cam Smith’s chewy right there uh
how about that moment man this is just
incredible we have some fans actually
surrounding us right now how great uh is
this moment for these guys there’s Greg
Norman oh Greg
get yes oh man lead by example
commit oh that is awesome more than this
it was a bit of a Bittersweet day for
cam today wasn’t it yes but you know we
made the point before the show started
on this show uh you were out working
already but we made the point that if
you asked any of Ripper GC any of those
players if they could only have one an
individual win or a team win today all
four would have said team win in a
heartbeat so it was a bit win and it
makes up for his win in London when he
had two putts to win the individual
title but if he made the seven-footer
they go into a team playoff and he
missed it it was a crushing Victory if
you will today redeemed it and I just
want to hear a little bit more about
what this means for Australia uh what
this means for Adelaide and how how huge
this is for golf well you lived here
before I mean you have a better sense of
it than I do I do I I mean look they’ve
been starved for good golf and and
talking to so many people all week long
that’s what every everyone has said to
me is is how good this is for Australia
I mean the memberships around this area
the golf memberships are now on wait
list for double the time and the impact
that it has I mean today I met a family
where the dad drove 14 hours with both
of his daughters just to watch this
event and you know what he told me what
it is totally worth it I met so many
many people that flew from all over the
country to come and watch this event and
that is exactly the impact it has on
Australian Gulf and people are just so
interested and the main thing I I took
from this week is how many young people
are in the crowd how many kids are
inspired to play how many kids really
want to meet and greet the Australian
golfers it is so cool and it felt so
impactful growing the game transforming
the game in the 70s and 80s uh the
Australian Open was unofficially the
fifth major all the names in the world
came down to play in it Jack Nicholas
won it six times I believe Gary Player
five times Arnold Palmer played in it
and won it and then it kind of went away
with the dominance of North American
Golf and and dominating the entire
landscape of professional golf this
brings it back and they are so happy a
special day for Adelaide a special day
for Ripper GC let’s take a look at some
Ripper GC highlights from the main round
here we go it’s Ripper GC baby you’re
looking at your team Champs here here’s
some highlights Jerry talk us through
super and talk us through that’s leash
on 12 just making one of many long cuts
he made today and it was late in the day
hopefully we show that highlight was a
place to do it too on the 12th now this
is
Jonesy on the 12th as well for a
birdie oh giving them something to yell
for yeah yeah we didn’t get the ace we
wanted but they got a couple of Ripper
GC birdies there that were huge oh this
is quite the week for Lucas Herbert this
time last year he won in Japan
yeah and he said the impact of this
tournament certainly was a factor into
his decision making when he got that
call yeah it it it was really cool to
watch I remember uh covering Herbert
when he won in Bermuda on the PGA tour
and that was a a career changing moment
uh being invited to be a member of Team
Ripper is a career defining moment if
you will not to be a little bit
hyperbolic but now his first win as a
teammate how about that addition though
you know to team Ripper it’s
strengthened their team he is such a
good player he’s had so much experiences
he’s won so many times now I don’t know
if you got a good closeup with this
watch this it hits Abraham anwers coin
and kicks it back left online and goes
in enormous break surely at this point
you would think the golf gods are with
the Ripper team at time they had like a
three four or five shot lead yes as well
exactly if you guys had to choose one
guy on Ripper GC really was a game
changer today who would you say that
would be and I know that’s a tough
question because I mean w it’s hard to
say it’s it’s everybody made clutch
putts everybody hit clutch shots uh
Herbert and obviously leean played
incredible golf today Jonesy did his job
as he’s always done and cam Smith he
didn’t have his aame but the others
lifted him up and then when they needed
him most it was mid of Midway early and
Midway in the back back nine when it was
fairly obvious he wasn’t going to
contend individually that he started
started making those key putts you can’t
keep a good man down and uh greatness
Rises when needed thank you Jerry suan I
know you got to get out of here so I got
to thank you for joining us let’s take a
look at the leaderboard here from
today take a look team leaderboard
Ripper GC your Aussie boys on the top
winning the first ever live golf playoff
uh and Stinger GC right there uh an
incredible playoff series we just saw
between those two and High Flyers GC
coming in third today here in Adelaide
an unbelievable day uh a roller coaster
of emotions uh watching these teams and
people were talking about it just as I
was excited so we’re the
fans take a look at this oh that was so
good unreal they say congratulations rer
GC enjoy the win boys and that I’m sure
they will do sh show show of course what
else what else will we do now to
celebrate here I I don’t know if you
guys can hear that but uh there are fans
behind us going crazy as we
speak whole lot of energy here in
Adelaide and joining us in our post
round show we couldn’t have a post round
show without our guy Dom Boule what’s up
Dom d you got a big your face what wait
Jerry if you do a shoy I’ll do a shoe
I’m doing one there’s a couple of beers
there but Mary’s been quite protective
of those beers I know
but going to save them for the end of
the show put on the spot now haven’t I
Mary look I could do a hoodie right now
I can fill that thing up and drink it
before we drink Don we can’t forget
about steel Brendan Steel’s first live
golf win you were with him today talk us
through all 18 holes and my first
question to him was that was a ball
striking Clinic wasn’t it Brendan and it
absolutely wasn’t it’s been like that
all week hasn’t it Jerry all week long
yeah I mean just I remember just started
thinking back on on all the shots and
from the fifth hole all the way to the
14th hole he kept the ball under the PIN
for his puts on all those holes I mean
that is incredible execution on greens
that were firming up best magnificent
ball striking and he got a little bit
sketchy with the putter at times
especially the short par put on I forget
the whole but 11 but he made just enough
didn’t he made it easy on himself he did
he did and he made it easy on himself
from his ball strike in fact uh he
missed a short part on 10 he missed a
short one on 11 and uh also on 16 and 18
I mean he could he should have really
won by four or five well the fact if he
was hitting a and he’s hitting it pretty
much where he’s aiming I know that Phil
Nicholson told him this course is made
for you absolutely made for you to be
able to work it both ways comfortably he
won the ball not on he won the
tournament not on the greens you
mentioned yesterday he shot eight under
yesterday and lost Strokes to the field
absolutely that’s the first time that
anyone in Liv golf has shot eight under
or better and lost Strokes to the field
on the greens just remarkable stuff here
are all our highlights from Bren Steel’s
day here there you go that’s just
slightly under the hole perfect just
like you said everything under the hole
here we are at number seven and that was
it was such a smart play with his second
shot he had a really bad lie the ball
well above his St wind was into him he
would have ballooned in the air and he
just played it conservatively and it
paid off a very good stroke there at
eight for birdie yeah from underneath
the hole under the hole then at 13 the
other par five couldn’t quite get there
in two he left it where you said was a
smart place yeah and he chipped and it’s
just breaking from left to right and he
left himself under the hole once again
from about 5 six feet made it an easy
easy birdie yeah and then he chose not
to hit driver on 18 well back where the
other players were and this is it all
day long with his wedges look at the
distance control and the spin control
magnificent ball striking he is some
player and he knows how to take spin off
the ball too yeah and then he had this
for bir a putt that nobody made all day
long I know that in the playoff yeah you
hit it left it stay you hit it right and
it broke but yeah he he is he’s not a
flashy person he doesn’t bring a lot of
attention to himself he doesn’t pump his
own tires and beat his chest uh but he
he gets it done and all of the his peers
whether it be out here or in his
previous life on the PJ tour respect
that that guy had some serious game and
in an interview he said he’s learned a
lot from Phil musim one of the greatest
players in the history of the game and
it’s paying off yeah they’re are all in
a pretty nice house this week together
with a pretty nice Chef the Phil has
asked his his interest in maybe
relocating to San Diego but yeah you
can’t you just the team environment is
something they haven’t experienced since
College they really haven’t and it’s
it’s it really brings a different
dimension to you as a player and how you
approach each day and and the thoughts
that go through your mind when you’re
out there competing well Don before you
go thought uh final thoughts from
Championship Sunday cuz I know you got
some shoy you need to go I mean not just
Championship Sunday uh Christian the
whole week it’s been Magnificent the
crowd have been so supportive you know
it’s it’s and we’re going to come back I
walked a few hoes with Greg Norman and
you should have seen the agulation Chone
towards him they love him here because
he was the greatest player from
Australia for for 10 12 years and uh
looking forward to next year ready yeah
I can’t wait Dom thank you for joining

Steele the champion here in Adelaide at
number one Jerry as you’re looking at uh
this this individual leaderboard I mean
two Stingers at two and three John Rah
who uh really started to pick up the
pace towards the end of the day there uh
what are your thoughts here on this
individual board Rah just started too
far back to catch steel unless steel
gave him a little help obviously Louie
came very very close as well and uh and
then you see a few guys on there ogal
tree Mito Pereira and janichi Ro Kazuma
who have zero points thus far this year
they got some much needed valuable
points for the season long individual
standings
Fairway to heaven with suan hang and
Jerry fults is where the players come to
talk shop the latest episode features
the always interesting Harold Varner
talking about everything including his
new team the Four
Aces what’s the dynamic been like uh
within your team and having DJ as your
captain how’s it going I think our team
has just got to get we just got to play
better I think it’s easier to be a team
when you’re playing well um I mean DJ
played well starting off I played
terrible I finished dead last so it’s
just our team hasn’t played well at the
right time P Reed go comes out he’s not
playing well so it just sucks from a
team perspective when you’re not
contending you know like we just go play
like you know on in in live no one I
don’t think anyone really talks about it
if the team’s not playing well it just
becomes an individual tournament if your
team’s playing well you actually think
about like hey man like I want to be
there for the team and I just want to
get back to that yeah part you know uh
that’s I think makes it fun that’s what
I want to do I came here to do the team
part that’s what I’m invested in and I’m
going to I’m going to get back

here in Adelaide the weather was
absolutely beautiful today uh which
reminds me Jerry do you think the
weather had any impact on these guys
today it certainly had some impact on
the crowd and because it was great
weather to come out here have a great
time party a little bit but really enjoy
the golf and a tweet from Bill Mickelson
what a win by Man of Steel and a photo
of those two I mean great job from The
High Flyers first Podium finish what an
amazing week in Adelaide you got to love
this yeah we talked a little bit about
Phil earlier right Jerry yeah we did
yeah a pro golf critic that was fun and
unlike anything else in golf now he
stayed up well past well past midnight
West Coast time in the US it was just so
nice seeing those guys enjoy the moment
true Joy true teamwork and the crowd of
course welld deserving of that win and
uh Craig Norman with a shoy awesome you
think it doesn’t matter to these guys
it’s Sunday night the sun’s setting and
the tournament’s over Ian polter’s over
there practicing his tail off to try and
find something for next week that is
what commitment to it is that is what
this what golf means to them playing
well means to them and being a member of
a team and live golf means to them and
he’s been there since the very end of
the round which is really impressive
he’s been out there for over an hour now
which is impressive all right let’s head
over to Rachel Drummond she always does
a wonderful job schooling us with some
information Rachel you look great out
there what’s up hey Christian I wish you
could see the sky behind me but I’ve got
my own crowd here I’m a bit nervous but
what a result for the Rippers and not
only do you need 53 birdies to win are
they doing dodgy things behind me not
only do you need 53 birdies to win you
also need a lot of saves out there and
we saw some amazing golf from the
Rippers so we’re going to look at some
Boll of the shots so we’re going to
start off with Mr
Lehman now they say trees a 90% air and
he certainly showed this no green to
work
with leaving it to 20
ft and as we said you don’t just need
birdies you need PS and this one was
just absolutely ridiculous from Lucas
Herber again through the trees cutting
it round the side of the bunker
could literally try the shot 95 times
and he would not be able to do that
again and finally Matt
Jones no green to work

with Okay so we had no green to work
with and that’s exactly what I’ve got
here I’m here where Matt Jones was on
the 15th hole he’s got a down slope and
I have got the flag they’ve taken it in
I I wish you could see all these people
watching me right now so I’m going to
give you all a few tips okay so you got
to listen to
these
right okay so number one setup is very
very important so wide stance you’re
going to get your lead foot toe turned
out and your weight over your lead foot
and then your sternum slightly back I’ve
just had someone say correct okay from
there we’ve seen this tip before but
it’s important to have Loft on the club
face in the bunker peer behind me just
having a Sher so sand on the club face
now the goal is you got to try and Chuck
it over your
shoulder so when the sand falls over
that way it means there’s Loft on the
club face and you can release it if I
were to close the club face the sand
would fall off right I’m going to give
those a go
don’t okay so wide stance foot turned
out way over my
foot I’m going to take it I don’t think
I want to hit another one but if you can
give those a go okay I’ve been told in
my a need to do another
one if I don’t do this now hat do you
think I can do it again or not I’ve got
to do a shoy if I
miss
right same again wait left over your
left foot Stern and back you’re going to
feel like you Chuck that sand over your
shoulder okay I’m done so set up is
important keep Loft on the club face and
I’ve been challenged by pe in the
audience to do a shoy so I’m going to
have to do one now congratulations
rippers it was
Unreal Rachel amazing job I think you’ve
definitely earned yourself a shoy after
that wonderful performance out there you
got a Rachel Drummond fan club now
R what were you going to say Jerry I
think she needs to get the sand out of
her shoes first all right let’s let’s
keep the the talk going we got to talk
about Ripper GC there’s one guy on that
team Lucas Herbert we got to talk about
him I mean to rise to the occasion when
all the fans are looking at you and
everyone in media is talking about you
and everyone wants you to do it and the
pressure’s on this guy Lucas Herbert I
would say stepped up to the plate let’s
talk about yeah he he’s maybe I guess
you would say the most the least
heralded player on Ripper GC although he
has the same amount of PJ tour wins as
Matt Jones he didn’t have the length of
that career he’s the youngest as well
this is his second on eight he was just
absolutely clutch today remember he shot
one over par 73 in the first round and
beat that by eight shots in round two
with 65 and came out today and kept
those Good Vibes going that was Eagle on
nine and that really kind of woke
everybody up to to Rippers and that’s
about the same time that uh cam Smith
started making putts even though he
didn’t play his best golf but that’s
when you knew something special was
brewing and it was amazing that Stinger
came back and even tied him that was
fantastic to have our first team playoff
because it looked like Ripper had it
well in hand it seems like they uh kept
a great balance of of work and play I
saw Lucas yesterday at the Fisher
concert one of the main suspects uh
taking his shoey backstage uh having a
good time and today with the confidence
showing up you got to love to see that
right yeah and this is the second shot
on number five his second to last hole
and just got a great bounce kicked it
right down there after hitting it to a
foot on number one for birdie and he
would go on to make that you got to love
that your Adelaide Team Champions Ripper
GC couldn’t be a better story
right speaking of Lucas Herbert suan
caught up with him earlier in a week
take a
look something I also found out about
you is your love for music specifically
you collect guitars when I say I collect
guitars I just end up buying more than I
really need I wouldn’t say I’m
collecting any rare pieces I just end up
with a lot of guitars so I I double I’m
definitely not a professional I won’t be
playing in front of any audience anytime
soon but we’ll make that happen I do I
do enjoy when I’m home plugging the
guitar in and trying to play some stuff
and I would say with my golf game I’m
quite artistic so I feel like the music
side of things it just helps feed into
that a little bit and just you know take
your mind off golf what’s the most
famous or the nicest guitar that you own
of youve recently bought for yourself I
think I was at the US Open last year I
went to a shop called Norman’s rare
guitars in LA and I bought a off Fender
Stratocaster that is a replica of Eddie
Van Halen’s guitar back in the day so oh
that’s going to be pretty cool it’s
really really cool like if you play
anything that’s kind of down a a Van
Halen sort of sound you can make it
sound really really good so I love that
thing I love playing it oh I need to I
need to look at that I need to you need
to take a picture and show it yeah for
sure what a great week for Lucas Herbert
and here’s Rachel Drummond as promised
looks like she did a shoey let’s see how
she does
Jerry well first of all if you have the
heel on it like that it gets all over
the side of your mouth yeah that was
pretty good form him though she she got
the Surge and and manage to handle that
you’re going to wear a lot of it when
you do a shoy she didn’t seem too happy
about her shoy performance there but I
thought she did a great job yeah no
that’s a that’s a nine out of 10 age I
think that was her first too great job

live golf league players experienced
some uniquely Australian sporting events
this week Bubba Watson joined more than
45,000 fans at the Aussie Rules Football
game on Friday night as the power hosted
the Saints at the Adelaide oval the tqu
lads who are huge racing fans hopped in
a helicopter to check out the Ben
Motorsport Park it’s Australia’s Premier
racetrack situated on the banks of the
country’s largest river the Murray River
the team put the pedal to the metal and
track prepared for Mustang V8 GT cars
putting the torque and
torque you like that Jerry very good
putting the torque in torque I had a
great time here this week I’ve been here
before I came I was back here my first
time long before you were born I enjoyed
it then stayed down at Glenn El down at
the beach this year we stayed in City
Center incredible food incredible
restaurants it was absolutely popping
all week long especially this weekend it
was uh it it was is just a lot of fun
there’s a great vibe to this city it
kind of reminds me for those of us North
American based people uh because you
have the big Cosmopolitan areas of
Sydney and Melbourne this reminds me a
little bit of a of a of a like a a
Seattle maybe or or or a Portland before
it got really weird um it’s just got a
great down home free-spirited Vibe well
I want to talk to you about the watering
hole which has been a huge hit with Liv
golf I’d say the highlight of the week
perhaps we have some highlights from it
Jerry let’s talk about it one of my
favorites right here I pulz are
controlling a crowd with one hand and
there’s a legendary wave around that
Watering Hole I love it I that was pz
before he was in the first group to play
that hole they started on 12 that was
before a shot was hit they were already
that into it uh they do it in such good
spirit too they really really do they
have a great time they wear some hideous
clothes sometimes and this is the best
shot of the week right here from ter
could you imagine Jerry if this thing
just turned around and went of all
people too I don’t even know how Terell
would have celebr he’ probably just laid
on the ground and said pour it all over
me give me all the
beer and uh the fans there a lot of
shirts got lifted up this week and uh
here’s another special moment very
close yeah and uh here’s the club
throw mic drop oh that’s what we call
Mic drop I love
it and uh my favorite the cam Smith
intro his introduction uh never
failed yeah and uh his teammate Matt
Jones actually had little John farum the
Australian Legend play in yesterday’s
his walkup music that’s DJ with a huge
double breaking putt down the hill that
big celebration there from
DJ oh Pat Perez was a star last year
making a 70 foot Putt and doing a really
bad dance and then he had a chance at
oh if that just spins back a little bit
off the hill but tip of the cap I love
the Showmanship
there and this is
yesterday that’s Herber and there’s the
beer I think his cadd got hit on the
head there but he was all right oh yeah
this is from today Jerry y that’s uh
that’s David fuj look at
that and uh say he’s a quiet man but
there’s a big celebrate celebration
there

uh-huh what would you say your uh did
this Watering Hole meet your
expectations you’d have to ask those
guys and I I guarantee I know the answer
it met expectations I know uh I forget
who it was maybe Dom or suan they were
talking to some people who were there
and they had the same seats as they had
last year they’re like season ticket
holders now and all the people they were
surrounded by are now their new friends
because it was the same people from last
year it’s going to be a coming home
party each and every year and that yes
of course it it met expectations look at
that next year it’s going to be bigger
and better I think one of my favorite
things about the fans was uh seeing them
sitting on the ceiling of uh your studio
Jer were you were you at all nervous uh
by knowing people were above your head
on top you know the quality controls and
safety standards here in South Australia
are pretty strong because there was
about eight or 10 people up there
sounded like they were doing a dance at
first somebody had them actually sit
down so we could still concentrate in
there but they welcome too that was a
great seat you got to love it there’s
another shoy and the next stop uh this
is a tough act to follow here in
Adelaide but next stop Singapore yeah

Dean is the champion this is the future
of golf are you
ready uh cannot wait for Singapore that
looks like a whole lot of fun are you
excited I have never been it’s such a
beautiful city it’s such a it’s warm
it’s going to be very warm I’m okay with
that but the golf fans there they’re a
very Savvy golf uh audience it was a
huge walkup ticket sales last year
because people there aren’t used to
having sporting events of this magnitude
where they buy tickets they they they’re
giv tickets there was a huge walk up
crowd last year we had a great great
time and it’s beautiful I cannot wait
for Singapore uh but before we get out
of here I think we have a couple of
posts we want to go through on social
take a look at this I think it’s hard
for nons South Aussies to appreciate how
much pride there is in the fact that the
biggest live event in the world is in
Adeline and it’s even bigger this year
than last and it will be even bigger
next year peace Skully this event on the
screen was just quality can you imagine
the atmosphere of actually being there
well peace it was everything you saw
and then some and let’s take a look at
that individual leaderboard one final
look at it from here in Adelaide what an
incredible time we had Brendan Steele an
amazing consistent Showcase of golf
today putting him as individual champ
his first win anywhere in six years and
very well earned came close last year
lost in the playoff but very well earned
and then the story book ending with
Ripper for GC beating Stinger GC in a
playoff and High Flyers getting their
second ever uh Podium finish uh we don’t
have a lot of time left Jerry I always
have a great time with you but I want to
