Old video here we shot with Wayne Flint and myself on the grip! Fundamentals baby!

all right I’m here with Wayne Flint
Wayne we fix a lot of grips when we’re
working with people together and I think
one thing is often Overlook is the
importance of and being careful when you
put your hands on the club and how it
affects control of the golf ball so take
me through I call you the grip man how
am I going to put my hands on there
correctly well it’s it’s certainly kind
of overlooked and it’s no fun to change
grips so you know one thing that I look
at and think is really important is to
try to get the grip down in the in the
bottom of the palm and the top of the
fingers you’ll notice this little crease
right here is a good guide to go on the
side of the grip and that puts this
muscle in the left hand on top of the
grip that helps the that helps the left
wrist hinge correctly and you know what
we want to happen when the corre when
the club goes back so I think if you can
get their top hand on their left hand
for a right-handed golfer get that
correct and then work around and put the
bottom hand on I try to get the I try to
get the thumb and the forefinger to get
close to together and stay glued shut
and try to get that pad right there to
set right on top of that left thumb that
puts the grip down in the fingers I like
a overlapping grip but an overlap or
interlock doesn’t really matter it’s
just a personal preference um puts the
trigger finger on the back of the grip
that helps store all the power in the
club and leave the power in there so you
know once I get a person’s hands on
there correctly then they’re able to
they’re able to do what we we try to get
them to do hinge the left wrist flat
keep the club face in line with it and
get the club face to stay Square to the
plane I know that’s what you like and
kind of something I think is important
as well right I think you can put your
hands on there you’re careful with it
how you place your hands on there don’t
just grab the club and learn to get the
face Square you can become a better
player
