all right all right all right we are
finally complete with all the updates I
am sorry for the wait this is a DFS
strategy video for the
2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans I
won’t lie I debated possibly cancelling
this uh this podcast I was
uh I’ll just call on vacation until
yesterday I didn’t get back until late
so I knew I wasn’t going to be able to
update everything plus the RBC Heritage
went late so even if I wanted to up make
updates Sunday night I I just couldn’t
um but I’m a little bit behind the aall
and I was able to make a lot of the
updates that I needed
to up that’s why the stream was late
that’s why I scheduled at 8:00 p.m. I
wanted to get everything done uh before
jumping on and I almost got it all done
right before the 8:00 time but man this
is a team event if you didn’t already
know and with the team event you have to
make some changes when it comes to all
of your updating with the data with the
spreadsheets all that kind of stuff so
uh it was challenging to say the least
let me go ahead and throw something on
the screen really quick uh I want to
talk about this really quickly I wasn’t
able to update the weekly giveaway stuff
I’m going to do that at the end of this
video so if you’re watching right now on
replay or even those that are in the
chat right now I’m going to save the
giveaway all the way to the end because
I still need to find all of the the
names that participated in last week’s
uh live chat to put into the giveaway

bucket system in this video but it’s not
going to be like an in-depth one like it
was before if you didn’t already know
because it is a team event uh I have to
double the projections because those
teams just happen you know to finish
inside the top 10
um how am I trying to say that I mean
you’re going to have 20 golfers that are
going to be inside the top 10 because
it’s a team event it’s not an individual
event so technically two golfers per
team if there’s 10 teams inside the top
10 you’ve got 20 golfers so that’s why
we have to update um we got to double
everything with the projections so it’s
going to be slightly different than
every other single week again this is a
weird
tournament um I see Nick in in the chat
Eric carnor RN Ryan what’s going on
everyone um I think this is just going
to be like a just a live chat let’s talk
about the tournament I I’ll still do the
strategy piece but I’m not really going
to go super in depth like I I I do with
normal weekly videos because there is a
lot of volatility with this event it is
again a team event
so we’ll see we can still build lineups
uh that’s the other thing that I’m

man um where were we I think we just
covered all the giveaway stuff so let’s
just jump into this
tournament uh I’m not going to talk
about a lot I think the strategy portion
is going to be very short I just want to
hang out with you guys talk about uh
strategies with with all of you see who
we want to start our lineups with we’ll
use The Sweet Spot process to build
lineups we do have Marque te times I do
have buckets um yeah it’s going to be a
little bit different so that being said
let’s jump into
this so when we talk about the
tournament and course information we
start with the tournament fact sheets uh
it’s just a great place to find data you
can go to the gcsaa.org I think what I’m
going to do is actually link this to the
website so you can just go to my website
and just click click on the link and
it’ll send you straight to the
tournament fact sheets I think that’s
probably going to be the smartest way to
do this going forward again why I like
these you find all your data points for
researching on here so if you do want to
use this it’s available to you and some
of you guys might not know that this is
available to you but it has so many
statistics that you can use how fast the
greens are the yardage the par the golf
course that’s being used the location
that it is the tournament that it is uh
obviously you all know that this is the
most important piece to me now if you
were wondering what’s on the cheat sheet
what I have on the cheat sheet
is actually Pete Dy stats so you’re
going to have Pete Dy as the only grass
stat that I’m using it is a Pete die
golf course I guess I could have shown
you that down here Pete die so that’s
two weeks in a row we’re using Pete die
as our grass stat if you do have the
poet trivialis overseed go ahead and use
that again data points these are just
data points there’s nothing I’m not
trying to be fancy
and pretend like I know more than anyone
else this is all available to all of us
we all can use it together so gcsaa.org
tournament fact sheets it’s all I have
to talk about when it comes to that I do
like to map out the golf course but this
is a team event if you didn’t already
know that um Thursday and Saturday
you’re going to have better
ball which is just best ball I don’t
understand why they call it better Ball
but basically you know you have teams of
two
golfers those golfers will all tea off
on hole number one and hole number 10
they’re going to have those split te’s
um but the golfers on each team will hit
their golf ball off the tea of every
single hole they will actually finish
their their uh their golf ball all the
way through the hole so that’s just
normal golf it’s just normal
golf the only difference is let’s just
talk about like Xander and Patrick Hy we
all know that they are in this
tournament so you’re going to have Klay
and Xander teen off on hole one they’re
going to finish hole one and let’s say
Patrick Hanley gets a five and Xander
gets a four well they’re going to take a
four for the team because it’s the
lowest score and they’re going to do
that for all 18 holes that’s your
Thursday and
Saturday uh uh formats of playing now
Friday and
Sunday it’s going to be alternate shot
so basically one golfer is going to grab
all of the odd holes they’re uh
responsible for teeing off on all of the
odd holes and then the other golfer will
get all of the even holes so no matter
what does not what I’m about to tell you
uh how they’re going to play the hole
does not matter about t- shots t- shots
are set in stone one golfer will hit All
Odds one golfer will hit all evens
they’ll determine that with their own
strategy now after they tea off so let’s
say Xander tees off a whole one Klay
will then hit the second shot wherever
that is where ever that ball is that’s
where Patrick anley will be hitting from
and then wherever he hits it next that’s
where Xander will hit from and they’ll
continue doing that alternate shot all
the way until the ball is in the
hole um so just so you guys know I mean
there isn’t really anything that I still
don’t think we have enough data out
there to try to figure out which golfers
are good at alternate shot versus which
golfers are not and golf is such a
Fickle game that if you’re trying to get
really cute about this kind of stuff
it’s kind of dumb like I’ve played in
these types of tournaments before you
could be playing the best golf of your
life and your partner could either screw
up on one hole might get a little
nervous and chunk a shot or you know
thin a shot or whatever I mean I don’t
think that’s what these these Pros are
going to be doing but little small
things can actually hurt the team so
despite a golfer playing phenomenal
golf their partner can screwed up for
the whole team for that round most of
these golfers are trying to shoot under
par on the alternate shot really they’re
just trying not to shoot themselves in
the foot I think what you’re going to
see um let me double check this I I I
really didn’t look at it uh before
jumping on but let’s see what alternate
shot looks like for some of these
golfers so I have round one scores round
two scores let me see what the average
number is for their score so the average
in round one was 65.5 s last year round
two it was 70 and I think what we just
saw is a par 72 so I guess the goal for
most of these golfers are going to try
to be two under or less on the alternate
shot but then when the better ball comes
around it’s seven under or better I mean
61s we even saw I think in
2022 59 by Patrick Klay and Xander shley
59 and then they also shot 60 on their
third round so they almost broke 60
twice so we’re going to see some really
low rounds when it comes to the better
ball portion but then when you look at
Xander and Patrick during their
alternate shots pretty darn close I mean
this was four under par but round four
was even par I think that they if they
shoot somewhere around one or two under
that’s that’s going to be a good score
when it comes to alternate shot so if
you’re doing Showdown slates stuff like
that
um how I would perceive it it would be
more or
less the alternate shots I would much
rather have a like two really good
Grinders out there that can you know get
the ball around in par most of the time
like if you were to look at their
average scorer you know especially when
you have birdie
Fest witch golfers just don’t make a lot
of bogeys or limit their bogeys on hard
golf courses or whatever I would kind of
use something like that for those Friday
uh Sunday Showdown slates and then for
round one and three I think it’s just
really a roll of the dice Shake of the
dice like I I really don’t think again I
I I’m saying this because they’re just
there’s not enough data to really look
at which golfers are going to be really
good at these alternate or not alternate
but these team events
so um keep that keep that in mind just
keep all of that in mind
so when I was kind of going over the
golf course mapping out the golf course
and looking at shot shapes it really
doesn’t matter I honestly like there’s
so much so many things this week that
just don’t matter that you’re not going
to be able to predict
correctly like a buddy called me today
and was like do I even play this week do
I play DraftKings this week and I said
probably not probably not he’s kind of a
a newcomer to the whole game but then I
was I thought to myself I’m like
actually no I think this is going to be
the best week for you to do well because
anybody can get it right this week you
don’t even have to look at data create
narratives in your head like narratives
to me like Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick
they’re Brothers if you didn’t know that
they’re Brothers Well if you have
siblings some things can come in into
play you might have you know like how
you how you treat your brother or you
know or your sibling you can account for
that in this type of
format what if Matt you know has been
telling Alex forever dude you got to do
this you got to do this you got to do
this and then they’re out on the golf
course and Alex does the thing that Matt
told him not to do Matt will look at him
and be like dude I’ve told you not to do
that how many times now and then maybe
Alex gets mad you like again if you’ve
had siblings you know how that works
when it comes to family so that can be a
narrative in your head and if you want
to go with that narrative do so it it
really doesn’t matter
now they’ve also played really well
together before so that’s another thing
that you can you know you can ignore
that type of narrative if other people
are saying it you can ignore it and then
that’s the reason why you want to play
Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick
absolutely do so not a big deal you’ve
got the hoard
Brothers uh we went over the
pronunciation of Nikolai hoard last week
with also ludig o Berg
uh I I always whenever I see that name
all I can think of his Neo Hoya that’s
all he said for his name Neo Hoya okay
uh anyways you’ve got the twins not only
those twins but you got the coie twins
down here too uh what were they they
were 6,000 something where we at
coties I thought it was like
64 well we’ll look them up this way the
old way there we go $6,600 the coties
right there they’re twins as well
from Texas they’re probably going to be
good on this type of golf course really
it’s nearby
Louisiana um you know do you like the
Twin power do they have you know
Psychopathic Powers because they’re
twins are they Xmen we don’t know you
don’t know I’m kidding but you can you
can create those types of narratives in
your head I think it’s going to be just
fine this week um we will go over pass
optimal and gpp wining lineups you’re
going to see cream kind of Rises to the
top you’re going to have a lot of your
best teams all with inside the top 10 so
there probably isn’t a reason to
fade you know any of these guys up top I
I I don’t even know if you have to get
cute this week uh but again we’ll cover
that we’ll go over all that
stuff then go from there
so yeah again I mean I I I actually
spent way more time talking about this
kind of stuff than I anticipated but you
know strength of field that I have 369
actually I forgot to update the strength
of field points maybe it’s lower maybe
it’s higher I’m not sure it’s not going
to be by much could be 350 could be 380
I don’t know U but it’s going to be
around that 370 Mark somewhere give or
take 10 or 15 points um so it’s a pretty
good strength of field you got a lot of
good golfers here but yeah whatever
narrative you want to create you know do
you think Kore Kawa Kawa and KK kyama
are going to be a good
team maybe maybe not we’ve been hearing
all week that SII fala and Will zorus
are like really really good friends I
didn’t know that but if that’s something
that you’re like well that’s that’s
going to be a really good Synergy then
go ahead and play them there’s there I
don’t think there’s a wrong answer this
week again we’ll look at the buckets
we’ll try to narrow down player pools
we’ll look at the Mary te times because
there are Marky te times uh we’ll try to
figure it all out but yeah that’s all
um that’s all that I really have for
this for like the tournament and course
information so
let’s go ahead and talk about pass
optimal and gpp winning
lineups this is uh sponsored by the

I I think maybe it’s just Chad stream

Channel we start in 2021 where we have
Team events where Cam Smith and Mark
leash Le uh leechman won so here’s one
thing I want you guys to pay attention
as we go through this salaries at the
top of the leaderboard how these
optimal lineups were created I will even
go over the gpp winning lineups how
those were created as well uh and we’ll
we’ll figure it out from there so your
optimal in 2021 used up nearly 50,000 of
the salary all 50,000 that left $100 on
the table it scored 711 points the gpp
winning lineup used up all 50,000 and
scored
6855 so 26 points 25 a half I should say
was the difference between the optimal
and the gpp winning lineup now your uh
optimal lineup had an $1,100 golfer or
the the team uh that was 11,100 it
wasn’t the most
expensive it was the fourth most
expensive they were the fourth team when
it came to salaries I’m going to go
ahead and remove that filter I just
wanted you to see they were the four the
fourth most expensive team that was cam
Smith Mark Lehman 111 uh I’m not going
to name all the names but then you add I
I’m just going to name the salaries so
111 94
71
74 68 and
81 or or let’s look at it a different
way right we’ve got a 10K golfer a 9k
golfer or teams when I say golfer just
think of teams 11k team 9k team an 8K 27
in a six just like The Sweet Spot way
1098 776 that’s what you add in
2021 we go to
222 the optimal left $300 on the table
so almost once again using up all 50,000
of the salary it scored 888 or she 838
points your gpp winning lineup left $100
on the table and it scored 805 so there
you go you kind of have I mean this is
33 Point difference but it’s somewhere
between 25 to 33 points between the
optimal and the gpp so you kind of have
to be a little perfect in order to take
down a gpp for the Zer classic so far
the two years we’ve looked now in uh the
optimal lineup had a 10K golfer or 10K
team I should say 7K team 8K team 7K
team 9k team 7K team or just to say it a
different way 1098 777 and if you’ve
been around this channel a enough you
will have known that the
most frequent optimal lineup is a 1098
776 the second most frequent optimal
lineup is a 1098
777 and then the next one that’s the the
most frequent would be a 1098
766 but they all start with a
10987 and then it’s just a fluctuation
between is it 2 6ks 27ks or one other
seven and another or and then and then a
six so that’s what you had for your
optimal lineup now your gppp winning
lineup had a 10K 7K 8K 9k
7K 7K so 1098 777 just like the optimal
just not the the same
7ks last year your optimal lineup
actually left a lot of money on the
table and I think that’s because your
winners were in the 8K range whereas in
2022 it was 10,400 your winner was and
in in 2021 it was
11,100 by the way let’s see what where
were Xander and Klay when it came to
price
tags they were the second most expensive
team uh on the Slate so keep that in
mind let’s exit that and again look at
2023 so 1,000 was left on the table
scored
8455 points we did have uh or I have a
sweet spot optimal but your gpp wi
lineup used nearly all 50,000 left $100
on the table scored 806 so 845 to 806
actually it’s the the Gap is increasing
as the years have gone on The Sweet Spot
optimal also left $100 on the table and
it scored $820 points so it does beat
the the gpp winning lineup but let’s go
over each one optimal again left 1,000
on the table we had an 8K team another
8K team a 9k t uh Team another another
8K
team 6K team and a 7K team so uh say
that differently that’s a 98
8876 lineup so no
10K 38k teams in there and only 1 7K so
a little bit off a little bit different
than what I I normally preach that will
happen it’ll happen your gpp winning
lineup was the two AK teams up at the
top but having
11k uh Patrick cley and
Xander 7K Norman Vincent and Schwab just
like in the optimal a
$6,200 team and then an $8,200 team so
the Fitzpatrick’s so let’s see that
would be a 10 38 a seven and a six
that’s crazy uh very weird now The Sweet
Spot optimal again started with the two
eights an 11 a six a seven and a
seven um and again that left $100 on the
table so just say that differently it’s
10 28s 2 sevens and a six normally when
I say hey start with a 1098 77 uh six
start to your your lineup builds I
usually follow that up by saying you can
make two substitutions with your
salaries so if you start
1098
776 what you could do is drop one of
your 10 down to another nine that that’s
one substitution and then say you want
to bring one of your sixes up to a seven
so you’d have a
998
777 lineup that fits within the Sweet
Spot process here we just have um well
actually we don’t even have a 9k golfer
we actually sub the nine down to an
eight so it still follows that process
but you can see there it’s a 10 28s two
sevens and a six and it and it beats the
gpp winning lineup so again when we
follow The Sweet Spot process
it’s it’s just following these simple
rules that make lineup building a little
bit easier uh Narrows down Narrows our
path down to certain golfers that we can
play and it makes it easier to get on to
those golfers because of how strict the
rules are so those were your pass
optimal in gpp winning lineups for the
Zurich Classic team events from 2021 to
2023 um how about this let’s just talk
about
salaries since we’re here talking about
pass optimal and gpp winning lineups
11,200 isn’t really that expensive you
know obviously we saw in
2021 Mark lechman and cam Smith won at

you have Northern Ireland with I
land they’re good Ridder Cup teammates
they’re good friends um but the whole IR
like Ireland thing you should go if you
didn’t already know go check out your
history books uh Northern Ireland and
Ireland not not super friendly
throughout the years so I don’t think
that has anything to do with their team
but in case you’re like oh yeah they’re
they’re both Irishmen yeah they’re
different Irishmen but yeah still
friends um really curious how that
team’s going to do I I don’t even know
if I care to play them I I’m also by the
way playing limited exposures like I
just don’t care I’m still going to have
my lotto ticket into the drive the green
I call it a lotto ticket because it’s
like you know you try to just put a team
together to take down the whole thing
sometimes you win sometimes you don’t
lot ticket you know I don’t put a lot of
entries into that I do usually put a lot
of entries into the minia max which is
your 50 Cent uh tournament I’m not even
going to put a lot of money into that I
just don’t care this week I’m going to
do all my winter take alls I’m still
going to use the the optimizer to build
my lineups uh and hopefully take down
one of those winner take alls and just
have a small profit while also still
having a lotto ticket into the $5 Drive
the green I just don’t care like it’s
not that big of a deal to me this week
um like I was telling my buddy there is
an opportunity this is where we get our
our our advantage or our our Edge to
playing but at the same time I’m just
not all that interested in this
tournament I think it’s a I mean I saw
online someone go how about this we we
exchanged this tournament for the match
play I’m all for that too like I the
match play was so much more fun to try
to I wouldn’t so much say handicap but
yeah essentially try to figure out
strategies and and playing that that’s
way more fun than this this tournament
one so or this uh Team event
sorry I’m pulling up my my uh stream on
a different on a different

okay uh when I guess when it also comes
to these salaries things you know one of
these 10 Ki golfers I think is going to
be inside the top 10 one of these 9k
golfers also will be there and same with
one of the AKs I’m I’m literally going
to follow the 1098 776 approach and then
make my two substitutions I think there
are enough nine K offers to Warrant
playing I don’t have an issue with any
of the 8K golfers uh I mean not I
shouldn’t say it like that I I honestly
don’t I don’t think there I don’t know I
don’t know how to word this I just don’t
think there’s like a huge
advantage to any of these
teams I mean if you wanted to make an
argument to just play 3 8K golfers go
for it we just saw in one of the years
that 38k golfers were not only optimal
lineup but also in the gpp wing line
I think that’s fine go for it but again
I’m going to follow The Sweet Spot
process so that’s all I have to talk
about salaries we can move on let’s
review the let’s review The Heritage
just just let you guys know how well The
Sweet Spot process did uh this last
week so when it comes to the RBC
Heritage uh I did okay on DraftKings I
made all my money back I did did pretty
okay with rain makers I was able to
craft a Hideki matama Elite card so that
was great that that’s going to add a
little profit to my my margins so that’s
that’s wonderful but yeah it was fun uh
I think it was Wednesday night I was
building lineups and I just thought to
myself I just don’t see Scotty losing
this so I built a lot of Scotty lineups
um I followed the 7K combo buckets
pretty
religiously I had a lot of Tom hogi in
my lineups and Tom hogi kind of he kind
of crapped the bed on on Sunday I forgot
what he even shot let me
look he shot a
74 look at this of everyone that’s in
the top leaderboard he sh he shot worse
than all of them and kicked himself
outside of the top 10 he was like fourth
for a while he was a part of this he was
a he’s one of those golfers in the 7K
combo buckets um I didn’t have that up
and ready I guess I can pull it up right
now might as well
I didn’t update the uh the results but I
can I can do that really fast as
well okay let me just do that really
quick uh I guess I can show you while
I’m doing it
so oh sunj actually played pretty well
didn’t he I think sunj was a part of the
uh gpp winning lineup how about this
let’s just let’s cover the the buckets
really quick all 36 buckets were correct
so that’s 36 out of 36 were right and if
you want to know how this is determined
I first look at top 10s I look at all
the numbers for these top 10 for each of
the buckets and if this number Falls
inside the projection the minimum we
always round down so 2.43 becomes two
the maximum 4.04 rounds up to 5
well we had four top 10 golfers from
this bucket so that the projection was
correct 2 to five but you know two to
four that worked also there were two
golfers in the optimal lineup so it just
even further proves you know you know
this projection for last year ones was
spoton uh when it comes to the rest of
the buckets I mean I’m not going to go
over every single one but you can see oh
by the way if this number Falls outside
of the range like you can see it does
right here for last year twos it then
looks at the optimal lineup and if the
optimal lineup if the number here is
inside that range it’s still a success
because again we’re chasing the optimal
lineup so if it doesn’t fit with the 10
or the top 10 then we look at optimal
lineups so 36 out 36 buckets were
correct uh the next piece to talk about
would be the mar T times so I’m going to
go ahead and throw a filter on this and
look at our group rank
ranks so we’re all worried and wondering
like do the rules still apply for uh a
tournament that only has two sums that
go out well the answer is yes and you
can see it on the screen Mary te times
you want two to
four uh
golfers uh from the Mary T times in your
lineup and you don’t want them playing
together so you can see Windam Clark was
third he was actually in the optimal
lineup his playing partner Sith finished
second now you could have put those guys
together and would have won money but
you weren’t going to win or you weren’t
going to hit the optimal lineup and the
gpp winning lineup didn’t even have
either of them in it GP uh the gpp
winning lineup had these golfers in blue
and neither one of them were playing
together neither one of them were
playing together so you can already see
Windham was paired up with Sith he was
in the optimal lineup siah was not
Scotty sheffler was in the optimal
lineup uh he was playing with spe he
wasn’t even anywhere close uh so those
two golfers from the Mary T times in the
optimal lineup so boom check mark the
mar T times were correct not only that
but if you again you look at the gpp
winning lineup that’s the golfers in
blue we’ll cover the gpps pretty soon
here hold
on excuse me uh and then the these green
salaries this indicates The Sweet Spot
optimal and even The Sweet Spot optimal
lineups I mean they followed the whole
sweet spot process they’ll never have
golfers from the same group um together
so we’re already batting a thousand
we’re 100% correct not only with the
buckets but also with the Marquee te
times so going
to if I were to show you uh the got to
even place this down for the optimals I
wonder I don’t think I actually use this
for anything when it comes no I don’t
I was hoping I didn’t do any validations
from here but I do it all on that other
spreadsheet I was just showing you so
we’re all
good okay so your optimal lineup left

points uh used Scotty sheffler so again
it was with that question to Scotty or
not to Scotty and quite frankly it was
close it was close so Scotty sheffler
133 then you had Windham Clark at
$9,200 $700 sea $7,600 JT Poston $6,200
Patrick Rogers and
$6,100 Sheamus power so that’s a 10 n
two sevens and two
sixes um technically that is two
substitutions you drop an eight down to
a seven and you drop a seven down to a
six so uh technically it is the two
substitutions your gpp winning lineup
had Scotty as well then it was Justin
Thomas SE straa JT Poston Patrick Rogers
and sunj M which if I were to go ahead
and bring up those 7K combo
buckets I told you you wanted to play
one to two of these golfers up top I
didn’t put their results in just yet but
obviously you can see the results over
there to the left um one to two of these
zero to one of these and zero to one of
those perfect rules they all made sense
sunj was in the gpp winning lineup hogi
I just saw uh BG Little Neck say hogi
was plus five on the last hole that’s
insane what the hell so he loses all
those placement points he could have
literally been close maybe maybe he
wouldn’t have been in the optimal lineup
but what did he 88 points so we can
imagine okay so plus
five where was he hogy
was where am I okay down here minus 9 so
if he was Plus that means he was at
minus 14 so he was in fifth place and
then the last hole pushed him down to
18th Place uh let’s see get 30 points
for first 20 points for second 18 points
for third 16 yeah okay 16 points for
fourth 14 points for fifth and then it
just drops down by a point from there so
I’m sure he he was at 96 96 points
before thank you BG Little Neck I was
not paying attention uh nearly enough
okay okay so 96 I don’t know if that
gets him the optimal lineup though uh
let’s take a
look oh well if if sunj M was the gpp
winning
lineup yeah probably not he would had to
have beat sepo and JT Poston like he
would have been close I
guess um so plus five wait a minute so
he shot 74 that would mean he would have
shot 69 does that mean he would have had
a bonus with that as
well would he have had no he would not
have had the all rounds under 70 bonus
so no he wouldn’t have had
that um maybe you would had a bogey free
B I don’t I don’t know who knows it
doesn’t look like he would have been the
optimal lineup but he would have been up
there either
way 7K combo buckets also came through
pretty happy about that I I was not
going to touch day literally it was
between sunj and Tom hogi also really
liked Matthew pavon and and CZ like I I
won’t lie I really liked those golfers
as well but I played way more hogy he
was he was easier to afford Matthew
pavon kind of also stole my heart but
then obviously didn’t play really good
so yeah it was unfortunate either way 7K
combo buckets did okay they did okay and
and honestly if you picked one to two
that prevented you from really playing
too too many of these golfers and 0 to
one let’s see we had J JT post and SE
sta so I was wrong on that um this
should have been a 0 to two
obviously I don’t
know we’re also still trying to figure
this out trying to see what works
best want to see what the totals are um
um yeah no I would have still cut it off
right here so oh well it was close it
was
close SE straa by the way had he not
bogied 17 and may if he would have
birdied 17 instead of bogeying it I win
$500 500 more dollars than what I was
winning I was really hoping that sep
would have came through but obviously
did not poy counts as bucket Sy to win
okay sure I uh I agree he lost eight and
a half points from a par on that Hall

yeah
okay so that’s all I have to really talk
about with the uh review of the RBC
Heritage oh yeah one last thing so I
told you it was really close so sheffler
Clark here let me put a filter on this
I’m going to sort by points so Clark and
Scotty at the top with these three
golfers and shimo that was 645 645
points if you would have went I think
with these three
golfers and then was it these three no
it was close like you could
um it’s 49,4 so I got to figure out how
to how to hit 49,4 was it this
way no
and I I built it I don’t remember what
it
was it’s
49,3 right there I I know that’s not
it here let me double check something
because there was one nons Scotty okay
so the Scotty lineup uh the Scotty
Sheffer lineup scored 645 points the
optimal the offers that I just
highlighted scored
6435 so it was one and a half points
behind Scotty Shefler so that whole
question of should we play Scotty
sheffler or not had
sheffler like literally if we look at
his results so he shot 19 under that
means he had all those birdies to get to
19 he was at 20 under at one point in
time aogi is not going to hurt you
really when it comes to points but let’s
say he didn’t have one of those other
birdies or even that eagle on Hole 2 cuz
it was uh he eagled one of those holes
early on if he didn’t have one of those
Eagles he doesn’t score enough points to
be in the optimal lineup like he was so
close I know there’s another lineup I
can build that would have scored 644
points I just don’t know how to put it
together but the one that’s right here
Clark sah and then it was Klay Rogers
straa and JT Poston those golfers
together you would have used
$9,300 that was a one and A2 points
behind the Scotty sheffler optimal
lineup
build so
um it was close Scotty did enough like
it it’s getting closer like with the
DraftKings pricing and stuff like that
it is getting
closer where they’re actually properly
pricing Scotty where you do have to make
that decision if Scotty wins does it
matter to have Scotty in your lineup and
it was close this is the closest it’s
been so far so super interesting stuff I
I I love it this is great you know this
is now when it does actually come to
that that point of do we play Scotty or
not there actually is a a consideration
like yeah we probably should watch out
maybe maybe even if Scotty wins this
week it’s not going I will say this
actually in a low-scoring event which I
mean that was what the Masters was too
and Scotty still was in the optimal
lineup so never mind I was going to say
in a low scoring or a an event where
scoring is difficult where birdies are
not abundant maybe we go with a non-s
Scotty
lineup but he also kind of proved that
with the Masters so I think it’s just a
week toe basis we’ll have to figure out
what the salaries look like if Scotty is
like 135 and then the next guy is 107
then we probably just skip Scotty it’s
going to be too expensive
yeah you always got to check the field
and this was a limited
field with no cut so that plays a huge
factor into it as well okay that’s all
that I really care to talk about with uh
the RBC Heritage it’s not that big of a
deal to me sweet spot process 100% uh
correct I won my money back I think
that’s the worst that I could have done
to be quite
honest um it was really close if you
would have went with Scotty and just mix
him up with a 7K combo bucket guy like
either Sun JM or Tom hogi you probably
could have got on a lot of these golfers
here
so that’s all that I have for that let’s
go ahead and get into the bucket system
which I forgot that I have a little fun
transition for
that all right let’s talk about the
bucket system I was not quick on my
clicks for the Zurich Classic so I’m not
going to spend a lot of time talking
about the buck system it is a bit wonky
I had to double the projections because
we will have more
golfers inside the top 10 than any other
time and what I mean by that is they go
by teams teams are inside the top 10 so
you can see first place is shared
between two people because they’re on
the same team and then you have second
place so on and so forth well when I go
all the way down to all the golfers tied
for 10th or 10th or better there are 20
golfers that is double the amount that
you would anticipate to be inside the
top 10 and that applies every single
week so in order to make proper
projections of golfers going to be
inside the top 10 we have to double the
projections and I do have that written
into the optimizer by the way so you can
see a large number I mean six has to be
the max no matter what but I so what I
okay let me show you what I did and
again I’m not really I don’t even think
I’m going to talk about the buckets
we’re just going to use the optimizer
and the optimizer will use the bucket
system and build lineups so I’m not
going to get into the weeds of the
bucket system but you can see this says
3 to 7 remember we round down with this
uh this column here and we round up with
this one so this literally reads 3 to 7
so you can’t go over six so this will
always round down to six what I end up
doing with this so this will round on a
three for each time this rounds down so
this would be three this would be one
obviously zero this would be two I
actually minused one from those totals
so this would be normally 3 to six but
instead I minused one from the Min and
now it’s 2 to six so if I were to go
show you that on the optimizer you can
see it right here let me zoom in just a
little bit more so you guys can see it 2
to six and so I did that for everything
I did that for every uh every bucket
because when it comes to building these
lineups here’s why I did it you see Klay
and Xander they’re both in some of the
same buckets I mean they’re in every
okay never mind they’re not in every
single bucket um but they are in three
buckets that are the
same so that kind of doubles down and
you can’t play them together in
DraftKings if you didn’t already know
that you can’t double them so I can’t
play Klay and Xander in a line you have
to choose between the two well then when
you think about it when it comes to the
buckets all right so they have different
profiles different bucket profiles so
which one do I use well they both count
towards the bucket system so building
lineups you can only play play one of
them but at the end of the day they’re
going to be counted they’re both going
to be
counted so it just
it’s I’m not going to pretend like I
know the answer on how to do this this
is just a gut feeling that I have that I
think is the correct way to do it uh I
know I need to double the max projection
no matter what so uh then what it was it
already is included I already updated
the uh the formula that goes behind this
to double it so but with that I guess
what I could have
done is maybe not doubled the minimum
and just kept the minimum as is I
probably should have done that but
some of these numbers would have stayed
the same just just to let you know a lot
of these numbers would have stayed the
same so maybe yeah again I guess it’s
just a gut feel like I feel comfortable
with it I won’t lie I’m not going to
sugarcoat this for you all I do feel
comfortable with the projections so
everything that is in my Optimizer that
we will be covering or that when I’m
building these lineups with the
projections as they are I feel pretty
comfortable with some of these
projections I should say with some of
these with all these projections I’m
actually going to update this one right
here I I think I want a fourpoint gap
between every single one maybe except
for the ones that have
fours but anything that’s like five or
greater I will have a four-point gap and
that was the only one I needed to update
that’s the only one that made me feel
uncomfortable uh and you really can’t
have too many 10K golfers so I’m not
going to put a two-point gap between
that
everything else though it all looks good
and we have our Mary TS in here so
everything is set I’m totally
comfortable with
that I thought I saw a team uh number of
90 or more and that wouldn’t be correct
cuz we have
uh we have 80 we don’t yeah we do have
80 teams 80 teams
okay so with that being said like I said
or not with that being said like iy said
I’m not going to go over the bucket
system like I I’m not going to dive into
it I just want to let you guys know you
can follow along on the cheat sheets if
you want to go check out the bucket
system and all the projections I just
taught you guys on how to use it how to
look at it uh actually I did but I
didn’t
um what you can do is go to that cheat
sheet put a filter on
this and how I had
it you know if we’re looking at at last
year ones those are golfers who topped
20 last year you want somewhere between
four to six or or 3 to six but remember
it was 2 to six so what you can do is go
into your filtered look go to last years
clear everything out and then just
select one and you’ll have all the
golfers that were in the last year one
bucket from last or that were in the top
20 from last year and if you want you
can just do salaries you know sort by
salaries top to bottom and try to find
find your team you know some of these
golfers you won’t see the teams together
so you can you can check out the teams
by these different columns they should
all be different numbers uh maybe not
the game number but the team number will
be this will be unique to the golfers so
if you don’t see a number next to each
other that means they’re the other
golfer in that group isn’t in this
bucket which there are a few of these so
keep that in mind like if you really
like Kurt Kon he’s playing with K morawa
he actually sits in this bucket so if
you’re looking for a golfer to grab well
you could grab K morawa and it still
counts for being in this bucket because
Kurt kyama is actually that golfer kind
of like what Cody gamble said it is a
very weird week very weird
um again I think it’s a mistake to go
into the weeds I know I’ve been I’ve
been kind of repeating that and still
trying to explain it a little bit but
here I’m just teaching you on how to
read the bucket system and then go to
the dream sheet and then find the
golfers that you might like so although
Kora Kawa isn’t in this bucket his
partner is therefore his team counts
towards the
bucket again like Cody gamble said it’s
weird it is very weird all right let’s
go ahead let’s just talk about the uh
Mary te times let’s get into that I
should actually create a a transition
for that and what I’m going to do is I
will I got to get out of the uh make
sure you don’t have any active filters
there we go let me color code this for
you
all so we know which ones we’re talking
about so despite these teams playing
with other
teams the teams that are in the groups
I’m not going to care about I’m just
going to look at or maybe I should
I think that’s what I did in 2023 I just

number put that on the

then we just delete anything that’s not
inside 10 that’s not less than 10 I
should say and then that will fix that
will help the optimizer

building a little bit easier because now

stream and he had to update on the Fly
which is exactly what I’m doing right
now is updating on the
Fly um because this is just one of those
tournaments that’s just like man it’s
stupid honestly it’s just a dumb
tournament that you forget there’s so
many different things you need to update
um you’re just not prepared for all the
things that actually go into
this
um into this week there’s there’s so
many different different pieces that you
have to add that you just forget that
you need
to okay let me go ahead and hide these
things yet
again there we
go and BAS basically what my Optimizer
does is it takes into account the
projections right here what their
success rates are and it creates me a
little bit of an ownership model here I
can grab from different
columns usually I like to grab from the
Max and go down to like the 9k
range and just put those all
over to the
max then I go back to my Optimizer and
these would your be your max ownership
percentages
and then for 8,900 and down go back here
I’ll take that from the best right over
here and that’ll be all the way down to
the
bottom this gives me like a conservative
but when it comes to the ranges for
seven and 8ks it updates that way and
then just to double check that it all
works we run Optimizer and we hope it
doesn’t break
beautiful and we check to see if there’s
any dupes and there is not so there we
go let me save this let me make a copy
of this I see some people want
this I will send it to you I’ll open up
my copy that way I can send you guys the
optimizer while I’m doing
this um we also need
to we need to do a um
we need to do like a little roll call

hole and looking at the top nine groups
we get Mar T times now this is from 2023
the same rules apply we’re selecting two
to four we’re going to call it teams now
because there are two golfers in a
team but we still want to grab two to
four golfers two to four
teams uh that we’re going to play from
the Marque T
times all right I see some of you guys
coming in here late AJ type the number
one also for you guys that are typing in
right now you might be behind make sure
you hit that little live button to make
sure you’re up to speed that you’re not
falling behind I was actually behind

to start building lineups right after
the segment it’s taking forever to get

highlighted the group groups of four
that are playing together of these
groups of
four we only want to select one team
from the groups and no more than two to
four groups so weird to say let’s just
say it how we normally say it you want
to select two to four golfers from the
highlighted
groups and they can’t be
playing I don’t know how to I don’t know
how to phrase it how in the heck am I
supposed to phrase this okay if you like
Patrick Klay or Xander shafley that
means you can’t play sahith or will
zalatoris together okay that’s what it
means you are either going to play Klay
and Xander or sahith and zalatoris so
you can only pick one team from this

say select two to four teams and they
can’t be playing in the same group

going to like you doubling the minimum
projections because again you could have
the same golfers in this or golfers in
the same group that will count as double
towards the minimum but when it comes to
building lineups you can’t account for
that like I can’t create that math on
the optimizer to be like oh yeah well
you know Patrick canay and Xander are in
the last week one bucket so this really
counts as two golfers inside the top 10
and that needs to be applied to this uh
column right here just doesn’t work that
way so I removed i i i reverted back I
think this is all good I’ll be concerned
about this one I might have to change
this um we shall see we shall see and
actually when it comes to these uh Max
ownership uh exposures I’m just going to
copy this
over
and not even deal with the exposures I
do not want to get stuck
again so all of it will be 100% exposure
will be kicking golfers out by using the
functionality that is on the optimizer

This the optimizer looks throughout all
of the the conditionals so it’s is it
above 492 is it less than
$50,000 does it fit in each of these
these buckets and then it looks okay
which golfer can we put together with
all of this I mean I guess it’s doing it
simultaneously
but it it has a checklist and that I
found out that that checklist goes top
to bottom so like last year one if that
was the first conditional that’s in
there it’s going to look okay we need at
least one who is the best last year one
and then it looks to the metric with
last year one so then it might actually
lock that golfer in and try to find the
rest of the golfers with the metric that
follow the rest of the
rules I do know that the higher the
metric you know when it’s on this spread
sheet so if I sort this by
Metric it will try to grab the golfers
that are at the top cuz it it looks top
top to
bottom um so to to that extent yes you
would be correct here’s another solid

worth I think when it comes to these
team events although my metrics are
going to be really like off like you
know like Rasmus and Nikolai are
together um Nikolai has a way better
metric than
Rasmus I don’t know if I really care and
in in all reality it might be best to
pair like to combine these numbers but
also at the same time not like I I don’t
never mind I think what I would want to
do is Elevate the lowest guy to what the
highest guy’s number is so like I should
copy Matt
Fitzpatrick’s uh metric and put here or
maybe I average them maybe that’s
probably the best uh add them together
and divide by
two to get a metric worth playing
I don’t
know that actually isn’t a bad idea but
I also don’t want to do
that some of these groups would just get
a huge
bonus uh
anyways without Eric Cole in the lineup

I’m fine with that
too by the way one thing I noticed one
one thing I noticed that I think is
relevant um I got to find the Calum

Ryan David lipsky on the other team it’s
uh Callum Taran and David skins three of
those guys are Brits you got David skins
and Callum Taran both from England and
then you got Aaron Ry that’s also from
England David lipsky is going to be the
only person that’s going to feel left
out you want to know what I I think this
helps I think this boosts Aaron
Rise
um comfortability and like he’s going to
be with three other countrymen like and
his teammate’s David lipsky but it just
adds Comfort to his to to him and I
think if you want to play that edge by
all means do so I think it’s a solid
strategy if you want to go with it now
this one has David skins in it
again it’s going to be a bunch of
countrymen together so maybe not a
terrible play Let’s Take let’s take a
