Golf League are a match made in heaven
more than a 100,000 fans will pack the
fairways of the gra Golf Club this
weekend and it promises to be even more
rockus entertaining than last year cam
Smith is a National Treasure down under
his all Aussie Ripper GC are the local
favorites but John ra Brooks kker Dustin
Johnson and Bryson Des Shambo are dead
set on ruining cams homecoming our
shotgun start is just moments
away hello everybody wherever you’re
watching around the world Arlo white and
David fery here live from Adelaide which
is absolutely buzzing today it was a
35,000 expected in just today alone it’s
incredible and we welcome everybody
watching on the seven Network in
Australia and on the CW in the United
States as well it’s all about this man
David isn’t it you imagine on Sunday if
he’s close to the top of the pylon a RI
a GC are close to taking the team title
it’s going to be absolutely insane is it
about managing the pressure and
expectation M cam Smith I think that’s
exactly what it is for Cam and the rest
of the Aussie guys you know it’s going
to be a crucible out there it’s a it’s a
claustrophobic golf course and it’s
going to play about half its width as we
watch cam warming up there signing a few
autographs it’s uh the fairways are hard
and fast you know the golf course is
very firm and it’s narrow so these guys
are going to spend a lot of time in or
around the crowd and there’s a couple of
ways that you can let that affect you
you can either shrink away from it or
you can say hey bring it on and all four
of these Aussies are are of the uh
second uh category I think and the
Ripper team the other three will tee off
together on 10 cam SM Smith finished
tied third last year and also tied Sixth
and the Masters recently so a bit of
form coming in now the watering hole
Chase Ker’s hole not here this year of
course but he had the hole in one one of
the greatest moments in the history of
of the live Golf League last year
hopefully we see something similar it’s
bigger and better than ever 5,000 people
I mean is that going to be about even
for the hardened Pros the the the you
know the more experienced players out
there it’s about keeping the heart rate
down yeah it is for sure when you get on
this te you know there’s that kind of a
crowd there’s twice the buildout that
they had more than twice the buildout
that they had last year so around 5,000
people on this 12th hole it’s just going
to be amazing speaking of Chase I think
it was Jerry fault who will’ll talk to
in a moment who guaranteed a ho holding
one this came halfway through Sunday we
heard a distant Roar we thought oh has
it happened well it

moment just a note uh all cans and
plastic bottles are banned this year
it’s going to be plastic glasses only
and I think uh the reason is fairly
obvious less than 10 minutes to go until

battle that was a bloody Ripper mate for
the WIS and the
fans live golf get into a new
dimension well 9 minutes ago until our
shotgun start all 54 players of course
out on the golf course simultaneously
we’re joined by Jerry folz fresh from
the pregame show and Jerry you’ve been
out there we’ve been in this
hermetically sealed box for the last
hour or so what’s it like out there you
know right now they’re just getting
warmed up I think they’re they’re going
to Peak as the action takes place during
the day and if the sun breaks out I
think that’ll make them even a little
more excited but they are they’re a
knowledgeable golf crowd I was talking
to so many of them where we were doing
the the pre-round show uh who are
standing by and they’ve come from all
over they have group threw in from from
Melbourne last night commercially every
single person on the plane was coming
for Liv golf coming to Adelaide for Liv
golf that is pretty amazing 39 countries
represented in the crowd 39 countries of
citizens had people who attended last
year’s live golf Australia is not an
easy place to get to no that’s pretty
impressive no as David will attest yeah
no I uh I took a little while getting
here it’s uh
how how was your unscheduled at two days
sojourn in Honolulu it was like a bad
prize on Wheel of Fortune you know you
could two days in a beach front hotel in
Honolulu with bugger all to do yeah
while you wait for another airplane
that’s that’s what it was
like so the uh the crowds are absolutely
packing in here U the golf course bit of
a gem this one Jerry yes yes David
described it so well it’s a
claustrophobic Golf Course uh number one
priority here to the this week to to
scoring well is hitting Greens in
regulation second most important believe
it or not it has one of the highest
penalties for missing a fairway which is
unusual because there’s not a lot of
penalty areas out

there just over 7 minutes to go until
our shotgun start here at the Grange
Golf Club in Adelaide and upwards of 30
,000 are cramming the fairways the
greens and the tea boxes creating a
magical atmosphere here and the golf we
hope will match it and I’m sure it will
tell us a little bit gentlemen about
this golf course because it’s it’s it’s
a special place isn’t it yeah it really
is like a lot of the sand Bel golf
courses in South Australia whether it’s
in Melbourne you know there’s a bunch of
them and here in Adelaide it’s a it’s a
different kind of grass um and they
always seem to play firm and fast if you
get a little wind you know that’s where
it gets tricky but this is a just a
little Jam of a golf course that’s uh
really going to test them yeah distance
isn’t required on this this golf course
it is a reward though if uh if you do
happen to have it and you can hit it
straight but you get it’s precision and
finesse are the keys to uh to playing
well around here and like uh like Paul
ainger once told Ted Scot cat’s now for
number one player in the world Scotty
sheffler pen High wins tournaments pen
High wins this event so it’s a
wonderfully unique situation here in sou
Australia in Adelaide at the gra golf
club and our on course analysts suan
hang and Don ble can tell us more about
the
challenges we’re here at the Grange
which is a classical sand Bel Australian
golf course and one of its defenses are
the runoffs around the greens now even
some of the best players in the world
are going to Mish hit their iron shots
and catch some of those runoffs I’m
going to try one here
I think that was starting to fade
towards the right Dom’s down there let’s
see what options he’s got around the
greens Zan hit a pretty decent shot but
it caught that slope and is in this
collection area and as you can see it’s
a pretty tough shot but we have options
down here in fact we’ve got four options
one of them is a lob wedge personally I
don’t like it unless you’re Phil
Mickelson so not for me pitching wedge
or a 99 bump it in the bank not a easy
shot either you got to be pretty precise
another up a lot of players use this
nowadays A putter from a long way off
the green I like this but my personal
favorite three-wood or hybrid I like the
way the ball runs and top spins up this
slope not bad Australian golf you got to
use your
imagination thank you to Dom and to suan
hang lots more to come from them over
the next 3 days of course we got back to
last year’s event Taylor G tore it up on
Friday and Saturday 62 both days he had
a 10 stroke lead going into the final
round but then the wobbles started
didn’t they and after 10 holes of his
third round that lead was down to two
and he steady the ship yeah so that was
a tremendous performance by him are we
likely to see scores that low on days
one and two no I don’t think so that was
a freak of nature there 124 for two
rounds just uh absolutely amazing but
it’s the kind of golf course where you
can you can drop shots and and pick up
shots and you know we saw last year you
know a huge lead you know chiseled down
to two um there’s nowhere where you’re
going to be comfortable out here no
matter what sort of a lead you’ve got
yeah to to beat a field like this
through two rounds of golf by 10 shots
that is an aberation that we’re not
likely to see that maybe ever again you
never know who that was just incredible
golf through two days but uh we’re going
to see some great golf because this this
course they don’t make a lot of bogeys
around it has one of the highest
percentages of birdies made for when you
hit the Green in regulation so we’re
going to see plenty of birdies we’re
going to see some low scores I don’t
know if low 60s or sub 60 or 58 in br’s
case is on the cards but
yeah uh Bubba Watson and there’s uh
that’s Phil who said that last year was
one of the coolest experiences he’s ever
had as a golfer and he’s had a few yeah
he’s had a few he’s been around the
block once or twice three minutes to go
until the shotgun starts so the captains
are playing together and that means the
other three members of each team
remember two scores count on days one
and two three scores excuse me out of
the four and then it’s a freefor all on
Championship Sunday and the three
rippers Matt Jones Mark Lehman and Lucas
Herbert are ready to tee off from the
10th and listen to the Roar for Camp
Smith

there are 66 is to eventually finish
tied third last year here he says the
the home crowd can be a good and a bad
thing at the same time you can get
caught out trying a little too hard but
I think the Rippers preparation has been
a little better this year they were very
busy with offc course activities last
season and this year I think they just
got in a little earlier bit more
practice bit more time on the course so
they are ready for action 2 minutes to
go until the shotguns start look at the
galleries just absolutely packed who
else predominantly does this course suit
that you would expect to have a good
week I think you know the likes of Waco
nean you know whom we haven’t mentioned
as yet you know he drives the ball so
brilliantly um and it’s so long he’s not
going to need driver a lot of the time
out here neither are many of the longer
hitters there he is oh
yeah yeah
um you know he’s got to have uh he’s got
to feel pretty good considering the way
that he’s played up to this point this
year probably the best mullet mustache
combo in Latin America inspired by
Ripper GC and their Captain Cameron
Smith well done T getting into the
Aussie
Spirit good young team and of course wo
nean is top top of the standings
individually as well after a couple of
Victories already this season this is
tournament number six of 13 in the
regular season less than a minute to go
cam Smith Stacks up on paper to have a
good week here and so does teammate Mark
Lehman when you look at the analytics uh
obviously walking nean leads in almost
every statistical category so it’s going
to favor him on paper but uh John ROM a
lot of people are excited to see him
here this week talking to the fans out
there there extremely excited to see
John Ram in the field as well the only
player to finish in the top five in all
five events so far so cam tied third
last year Brooks he dropped eight spots
to 18th in the standings he had a
disappointing outing in Miami DJ winner
in Vegas early this year and His Four
Aces won here in Adelaide on 47 underp
last year and there’s Phil who will I’m
sure Delight many of his fans here over

Golf League playoff and sadly for Sergio
his third
defeat but he’s here to try and go one
better in Adelaide today and looks like
a fan may be getting assigned to
glove that’s what I was talking about
we’re going to see a lot of that this
week um players in the in the
gallery surrounded by this
crowd well and and the beautiful thing
about Australian sports fans they’re
Rabbid they’re nuts they have a great
time but they are respectful we saw it
last year when they when the impromptu
swarming of the 18th green and they’re
gathered all around it but not a single
one stepped in one of the bunkers they
police each other they are just so
beautifully respectful of each other and
of uh of the sport

who had a good outing in Miami last time
out and Peter Uline finished top five in
the Saudi Open last week

John certainly is determined to play

early stages elsewhere Brendan steel of
the High Flyers who were captained by
Phil Michelson and he starts with birdie
at HR schwarzel with our inaugural event
way back in June
2022 for Stinger GC that was his birdie
at 13 and this is Mark leechman to wake
it three out of three for the Rippers on
10 and that’s how they’ve got to three
under par as a team and they lead
Stinger the High Flyers and tqu by
one Brandon Grace at the far
314th they dancing around the
up at the fourth Dom this for a
bounceback birdie for Bryson yeah he he
pulled out drive r on this teas 330
yards to the front edge and the crowd
went nuts when he pulled out the driver
they were egging him on he had lovely t-
shot straight at it but it just caught
the front bunker unfortunately hit a
pretty poor bunker shot left himself
quite a ways after that bogey on his
opening
hold wonder if anyone in the watering
hole later on could say bounce back
birdie for Bryson yes I I think later in
the day that might be a bit of a tongue
twister yeah I could see I could see
slightly more than that if you’re doing
die Pace but kind of depends on your
pace
obviously Bryson played so through two
rounds at Augusta then I mean really
played pretty solid golf on the weekend
but a couple of literally duffed pit
shots cost him about four shots yeah
yeah and his putting let him down on the
weekend to a few three
parts out a bit early these greens every
bit as fast as uh they were at
austa Caleb Sarat the youngster for
birdie at nine very prominent member of
Legion 13 He is delivering in his first
LIF Golf League season he’s W under
par not sure Anthony Kims ever played in
Australia he’s playing this week and I
know the fans are excited to see see him
playing as a wild
card he said earlier this week in an
interview he has really only one goal
it’s not just to be a guy who who who
plays out here he wants to factor in he
knows it’s going to take time but he
wants to factor in now cam under the
trees can’t really get it right can’t
really get it
right I can’t really hit it right now

stuff does have a pretty clear shot into
this green you just got to keep it under
that little Willow Tree there that stuff

I’ve noticed these first couple of
hostes DJ not taking anywhere near as

done the last couple of years AJ’s still
very much involved but it’s a much

instincts those childlike instincts and

gra golf club and Adelaide after his
6262 start last year 73 in the final
round but he won by two shots in the end
this was for Eagle at seven but Taylor a
great start once again he is too under

season his best finish was tied for 31st
in jeda he’s better than that and he’s
had a really good start this is for

under par and that got to K to four

pick Ripper by a shot at a top
spot John ROM his quick little put for
birdie he hasn’t finished outside the
top eight in our last five
events and he is still disappointed with
his performance and just speaks of his
own expectations about
himself guy that’s very hard on himself
spoke to some people on his team and
they said he’s actually been working on
managing those
expectations and his mental game as
well good try

Sergio just for a
birdie he’s going to move a little to
his left as I mentioned before he’s got
a new putter in the bag this
week sacked the old putter
well recently it was revealed that charl
schwarz’s wife Rosalind was diagnosed
with breast cancer so in a full show of
support for not only rosalin but all of
uh the women across the world fighting
cancer the Stinger team decided to do
something
special and we found out actually there
was a possibility of it being breast
cancer when I was in
Oman it got confirmed when I was in
Saudi she basically started chemo a week
after that
you know what part of the chemo
treatment your hair starts falling out
so her hair is really close
to probably being all out in the next
week or so so a couple days ago you know
I was sitting there I was going to have
a haircut and I and I found Dean I said
Dean you know what it’s for let’s let’s
just cut it he’s like I’m coming while
we doing this is support of my
[Music]
wife and then it just sort of snowballed
and everybody just starting cutting
their hair off just just showing support
to her you
know everybody on the star every caddy
every player has um shaved their head
this week which um kind of looks like
this I’m one of the fortunate ones that
doesn’t have much left the other guys do
still have uh hairlines and fringes
we’ve kept the bulb is busy it’s
something that unifies the team and it’s
a it’s a really special thing to do and
hopefully raise some awareness for that
is cool there’s so many people that’s
affected by it I mean it’s it’s this
this guy’s mom this guy’s Aunt sister
wife it’s like all around us so she we
just spoke about and I said look but we
can keep it as private as you want or
people will find out you know we you can

you’re just trying to take the eye into

the things I try and mess with him
psychologically you put a little Greg

other teammates but you know some of
your best mates as well it was it was
pretty epic it’s all about the

last well cam likes a celebration and of
course he is a huge Brisbane Broncos fan
in rugby league the NRL and there he is
in the rooms after a recent victory

Mark Lehman joined to talk about how he
and cam ended up coming to
live just kind of share with us how that
conversation happened when did Cam call
you uh what did he say to you and kind
of what convinced you to then make that
decision to come over to live it was all
happened pretty quick I got a call off
off Greg reckon it was the week after
the US Open they wanted you know me CAM
and I called Cam and I’m like mate I
said I’m probably not going to go unless
you go and if you don’t want to go
that’s fine and and then he said well
I’m not going unless you’re going and
I’m like well you know it seems pretty
pretty good you know we put all the
positives and negatives down and
positives far outweigh the negatives and
turned out to be a pretty easy decision
and I think it was a good thing was
we’re both got very similar upbringings
workingclass families we like enjoying
ourselves you know a lot of people live
to work we work to live um although we
do have a really really cool job it was
a fairly easy to see and one that I
certainly haven’t regretted one bit I
know cam is as happy as he’s ever been

observation so far I got to talk about
the home favorite here cam Smith I
caught up with his mental Guru before we
teed off today and I said is Cam a type
of player that feeds off the crowd he
goes he will embrace it but he’s
certainly not one of those players that
feed of the crowd it doesn’t matter
where he’s playing and how many he’s
playing in front of he just keeps to his
process and watching him in the first
nine holes that’s exactly what he’s done
he’s more focused than I’ve ever seen
him that’s for sure and I know how much
he wants to do well here in front of his
home
crowd all three players in my group uh
DJ Bryson and kimer they’re playing nice
golf but they just can’t seem to make
get any momentum going hit nice shots
missed missed some really makeable
birdie putts especially DJ but you know
Bryson he’s certainly playing a
different game from the other two he is
taking it as seriously as he can he’s
being seriously aggressive using a
driver whenever you can and I think the
course is soft enough after the range
yesterday that that’s a good play but
they need to really start making some
putts some highlights from suan group
starting with the man of the moment

and a beautiful second shot into the
first par five on the golf course number

Eagle just catches the left Edge playing
alongside and the fans are equally
excited well pretty close to equally

got a lot of people following your group
how are you able to make your way
around I just follow the players they
have a ton of bodyguards out here making
wave for them but it is wonderful to see
the crowd here in Australia turn up I
know we were expecting it to happen but
it is a different feeling out here and
you can certainly feel all the love and
the support for cam Smith and team
Ripper I know we said that in the
podcast but you just being out here and
being around it it is an energy I can’t
explain but the Australians have been
looking forward to this event for the
last few months and this has been
circled on a lot of people’s calendar
including mine to be honest so and the
golf course is it as quick as it looks
from where we’re sitting you know
because there are putts and and little
chip shots that look like they’re going
to be close to dead that just wander
right to 6 7 8 ft yeah David I think one
of the feedback I got uh coming into
this week is how much firmer The Grange
is getting and as the week goes on even
though we got a little bit of rain
yesterday morning uh with the wind and
with the sun and as the week goes by it
is playing firmer and firmer but I think
the main thing today so far in the front
nine that I’ve observed is the whole
location so they’re just so tricky
they’re really tucked and you have to be
so prec sized from the
fairways let’s take a look at some
highlights from Bryson the Shambo this
at number five for biry captain of Team

36 it’s just a sand wedge for
him and he gets plenty of stuff on
it and to head to that first part three
that you mentioned earlier Bryson to
Sham downhill left it rider for Eagle
doesn’t drop but he goes ahead to make

don’t know if you’re picking up on what
I’m sensing here in the booth by
watching him on TV he seems to be a
little more I mean he’s always all
business but he seems to be a little
more driven a little more fire in those
eyes today do you think that’s the

shot at 10 this was the eagle
beautifully done by Danny
and the iron heads who only have one
Podium finish to their name well they’re
in contention now Mark Lehman at the
knife to finish his
day I love what Danny Lee said about
picturing the Putt in his mind and
trying to follow the picture that’s
almost identical to what goes through
the best putter I know is mind when he
putts cam Smith John RAM for birdie at

yeah that’s more like it that is more
like it from John Ram putting those
consecutive Bogies behind him now and
he’s back to four

well this was a feature of our initial
inaugural events in Adelaide last year
the ropes are down and the fans are
flocking down the 18th Fairway what a
sight well there’s nowhere else for them
to go really you know you just uh it’s
kind of a tight spot here at 18 and it’s
wonderful to see this
my city looks amazing but the live golf
tournament says Adele yes it
does all of South Australia well the
entire country but all of South
Australia so proud of this event
especially here in the Adelaide area
it’s just it really is heaven on Earth
it’s well it’s tremendous for the city
and for the state as well in terms of
all the out of state people that have
come in people from overseas they all
need Hotel Beds they all need to eat at
restaurants they’re buying merchandise
just generally for the economy in South
Australia it’s a real boost and you look
at the sporting events in other major
Australian cities Melbourne has the
formula one that used to be in the
Australian no but there’s three
basically now three Global sporting
events in Australia the F1 the
Australian Open and now this yeah
back to 18 and Sergio first to
play MTO GP in my ear as well Marlo as a
global sporting event of course
yeah not to mention the AFL I was
watching on TV yesterday
93,000 at the MCG to watch Collingwood
against
endon was that was that the game tonight
aren’t we yeah we are we’re going to at
the Adelaide oval to watch uh Port
Adelaide against St Kilda I was at the G
last weekend to watch Collingwood come
back to
beatport something tells me we’re going
to be heading that way with this bunch
of
crowd that game will be live on Channel
7 tonight as well Su that’s right this
is only a flip watch for Sergio but
Precision is required you got to carry
that front Ridge and anything too long

solid round today for onap par you said
at the beginning of the week that you
did not see 20 under today the lead is
currently at nine do you perhaps feel
like you left some shots out
there um yeah I think so I think I
played pretty solid to be honest and uh
just a couple of Parts didn’t drop uh
that one there on the last is very
frustrating that was probably my only
bad part of the day but um yeah just
clean up a couple you know just a couple
of those go in and all of a sudden it’s
you know 5 or 600 and um you’re right in
it but um still a lot of golf left John
solid round today as well five under par
bit of a a hurdle in the middle of your
round and then you finished off really
strong give us some of your thoughts
yeah it’s
um if you tell me when that ball was in
the air on 13 on the second shot that te
enough on 16 I’ll be three out I
wouldn’t believe you so just felt really
comfortable out there and yeah that
mistake on 13 14 15 if I can avoid
making one of those mistakes I think um
could have shaped up to be a really good
route but still you know it’s uh play
really good and I think I did the job
which is kind of bounce back and and
finish strong to you know to not really
lose any shots today well cam let’s take
a quick moment here to just soak this
entire atmosphere and Adela turned up
for you again how much of this crowd
were you embracing and feeding off in
your round oh yeah this place is unreal
um we knew it was going to be big and
um you know I think tomorrow is going to
be uh something else so uh yeah it’s
it’s unreal uh the asran people have
always been so nice to me and um always
been very supportive and they’re such a
good crowd as well they’re uh they’re
funny and um you know you have you have
a little bit of a laugh out there it’s
kind of relaxing so um yeah it’s good to
be on well it’s an honor to be a part of
it John I know this was an event that
you were C
on your calendar for this year you’re
looking forward to being here in
Adelaide did it live up to your
expectations it has it has uh I think
it’s quite incredible when you have a
crowd this big usually you hear you hear
a lot of comments sometimes or maybe not
great and I I couldn’t tell you I heard
one today it’s what cam say they’re
trying to be funny they have a great
sense of humor and and funny they were
you know uh I was really impressed by a
lot of the younger crowd trying to
mainly talk to cam but just trying to
strike conversations and actually being
funny right so it was a it was a very
enjoyable round and even when you know
we have our best uh especially in my
case in those few holes where I made
mistakes there’s plenty of cheers and
plenty of people wanting to you wanting
you to do good right so it’s uh it’s
definitely an extra bonus to make it
enjoyable foras when the crowd is this

absolutely I mean this is Friday you
know people are supposed to be at
work yeah you know but they’re all here
they’re all here yeah I think the part’s
still going out of 12 some people might
just sleep there tonight no the crowd
like John so articulately said is
enjoyable they’re large they’re excited
they’re enthusiastic but enjoyable and I
think the players Embrace that and it
just is a different environment than
other tournaments that play these
players may have played in with equal
siiz galleries yeah I mean I I’ve been
in in this professional game for nearly
50 years now I don’t think I don’t
remember ever seeing a city that has
embraced a golf tournament the way
Adelaide has this one you know I mean
downtown you see all the
bers the players photographs are up all
over time and you know people show up
for it it’s amazing they’ve absolutely
made this their own and they’ve set the
bar so high for our other events this is
the template and it’s been a magnificent
Friday it’s amazing to think we’ve only
had four days of live golf in adelade so
far but we’ve got two to come and it’s
going to be a Elric that’s the
individual pylon going into Super

a seven underpar round of 65 torqu

the show gentlemen thanks for having us
what what a day what a round yeah it was
uh really fun day something we’ve been
looking forward to for you know 11
months um so to finally get out there
and um play some good golf Jonesy played
great um I tried to give him a run for
his money it was it was just so good to
be yeah be back again and and get off to
a good start it was so much fun watching
those fans follow you guys around like
absolute rock stars just talk about how
that feels yeah it was amazing uh the
first hole that was lined for us on
number 10 and uh I said to the boys out
there there were a crow there was a
crowd following us a big crowd following
us every hole last year we had a bit of
a drop off on some holes but this year
there were there were fans on every hole
it was amazing so Jonesy talk us through
14 te mate that was um pretty special
golf shot in there what was going
through your head um it was actually a
perfect number good wind in off the
right and uh just a nice little eight on
we saw what happened we haven’t seen it
on uh social media or anything yet I
don’t know how close it was got a bit
stiff there it hit dead center and it
found a way to stay out yes we walked it
was this far away and uh I mean yeah
well we have some highlights of uh your
day here let’s take a look and feel free
to talk us through this uh that was 12
and that pin was a doozy uh so I made a
great part and here’s Lee he had another
met a phenomenal part on that hole Yeah
I gave it the early call here it was uh
lot lot of the time when you do that it
ends up missing something I was happy
that one did here we go yeah it’s
unbelievable here jonesing straight at
it yeah there little draw look good the
whole way but uh we haven’t seen
anything at
all my goodness bit stiff got a bit of a
SL there yeah t right there what hole is
this on um this is on four here nice
hole for the
boys in is this four what hole is this
oh yeah this was going Miles by it was
nice that to drop in it’s on eight on
eight yeah this was i’ got a pretty good
read off Herby here so uh knew it broke
a little bit more than what it looked
and nice to roll one in late in round
how how would you say the the course was
today I mean the course was perfect day
one getable uh There Was You Know firm
enough if you off the Fairway but if
you’re on The Fairway the greens were uh
receptive and and the green and perfect
rolling perfect so certainly there was
some good scores out there um but if
your game was a little bit off it could
still still get you so um perfect for
day one I think it’ll firm up a bit over
day two and three so Jones we used to
these Golf Course is playing pretty firm
it’s probably not that firm out there
it’s still tricky enough so do you think
these greens are going to get firmer as
the week goes on I would think so the
forecast doesn’t suggest anything I mean
you’ve played here long enough you know
what’s coming for us uh some of those
pin placements are really tricky and if
they were a lot firmer and faster there
would have been some very questionable
pins yeah exactly I see number 12 there
like your boys were talking about you
know that was a pretty slippery one down
there where we saw leash P one in um but
the golf course I think the defense
comes with the wind and the green
firmness so if the wind stays up and the
greens um get firm we’re going to get um
higher scores out there that’s facts now
wait now we have to talk about this
watering Hall the energy the atmosphere
the fans uh here’s some clips from the
watering hole but tell us about the fans
and that energy at that Watering Hole
today yeah when you’re over the ball and
there oh it’s uh it makes you think
about it a little bit so I had a good n
iron in here I wasn’t too far away from
taking the slope actually and I knew how
quick that put was going to be and um
Jonesy hit a good shot in um it’s it’s
loud I mean I don’t think people
understand how loud it is on that t box
I think the hardest thing is listening
to your caddy out there you can’t hear
what they’re trying to tell you so
you’re out there by yourself it’s funny
me and Maddie actually spoke about the
shot on 12 on the 11th green cuz he’s
like you won’t be able to hear me on the
12T it’s very close and the music going
and the fans Roar and it’s it’s awesome
now Lucas in his uh press conference
said he had to get new shoes because he
was anticipating a bunch of shoes this
week can we just talk about the culture
here and the fandom here I learned what
isi was this weekend um just talk about
that I think I think it’s just the
Australian culture we love to go to
sport we love to drink beer and have a
good time and uh I think that’s what
this tournament brings uh and live golf
brings out in in the fans out here all
right one last question you have a lot
of Ripper GC fans watching this right
now for any fan who you want to talk to
what do you have to say to them who’s
tuning in right now oh just thanks for
all the support um uh it means a lot to
to all of us that um we can be out there
as golfers and people wearing the team
hats and the team shirts and the got the
stubby holders and um the Budgy

much how much they support us and and we
certainly appreciate it and hope that we

it’s just so many people out here you
see a wave of people coming off 18
following cam so um yeah crazy scenes
here at gr Golf Club you’re you’re
actually a member here is that correct
yeah so I played all my junior golf here
in am a golf so um it’s a pretty surreal
feeling to have a tournament in this
stage of my career back here at my home
golf course you know all about this
course um I would love to hear just a
little more insight from you about this
course from your experience of course
and what these guys are dealing with
well the golf course in fantastic shape
um greens probably aren’t as firm as
they could be around these sand Bel
style golf courses um but I think if the
wind gets up and get a little bit of
sunshine it’s going to dry these greens
out tuck a few pins away and it’s going
to um be very testing for the guys now
you were born not too far away from here
yeah a couple of kilometers this way
here somewhere so um I’ve spent a lot of
my childhood around this place um pretty
much where we’re standing I hit a lot of
my practice balls so um yeah it means a
lot to me this week and um to see so
many fans here enjoying this piece of
dirt out here is incredible especially
in South Australia now every single show
we do this thing called form check where
we have our guests check the form of
fans who submit their swing to us now
all I ask of you don’t lie don’t be too
friendly be honest we want you to check
the form of these swings you down for
that all right you guys submitted it to
us we promise you we put them on the

first one you did pretty what critiquing

honest yeah it’s all right it was your
it was your first one um guys as you can
see day one has come to an end but no

stories recently rippers Mark Lehman
joined to talk about how he and cam
ended up coming to live check this out
just kind of share with us how that
conversation happened when did Cam call
you uh what did he say to you and kind
of what convinced you to then make that
decision to come over to live it was all
happened pretty quick I got a call off
off Greg reing it was the week after the
US Open they wanted you know me and Cam
and I called Cam and I’m like mate I
said I’m probably not going to go unless
you go any if you don’t want to go
that’s fine and then he said well I’m
not going unless you’re going and I’m
like well you know it seems pretty
pretty good you know we put all the
positives and negatives down and
positives far out weigh the negatives
and turned out to be a pretty easy
decision and I think it was a good thing
was we both got very similar upbringings
workingclass families we like enjoying
ourselves you know a lot of people live
to work we work to live um although we
do have a really really cool job it was
a fairly easy decision and one that I
certainly haven’t regretted one bit I
know cam is as happy as he’s ever been
as

from today uh just I was feeding off the
crow crowd in fact and it it’s just so
it’s an energy that you feel when you’re
amongst some you know it’s a big Aussie
crowd a lot of love for Cam and it was
just so much fun well I wanted to bring
up cam Smith who walked around here like
an absolute rock star uh all day long it
seemed
like you’re right and it showed today
more than ever a whole crowd of people
follow here’s some highlights from today
talk us do it suan uh this is Birdie on
the 5th as usual no surprises there cam
with a hot putter now this is a big one
this is for an eagle on the seventh
after a wonderful second shot just curls
one in perfectly
weighted you know he wanted that to go
in Dom certainly did and this is this is
his Forte isn’t it from the greenside
bunkers what a fabulous oh oh that had
the crowd going you should have yeah his
reaction he wanted that to go in so
badly and now this is his third on the
par five 13th and that’s a tough pin
remember that there goes another one you
had to be so precise on that shot and as
usual he is now do you think he’ll be
happy with his performance from today
suan uh well you know I spoke to him
after the round and he you know ask him
you at the start of the week you said
you didn’t see 20 under out there yet
the lead is at nine I don’t even know if
Dom and I saw that out there nine under
from janiro but he did say he felt like
he left a few out there he missed a
short one on 18th uh but look two more
rounds of golf to play a lot of golf
left yeah there is and uh that depends
on the conditions it’s going to be
warmer over the weekend the wind’s
supposed to die down so there will be
more good scoring but nine under from
jinny churo is is magnificent but I was
told he made everything in the first 10
12 holes and talk about rock stars she
just told me she had to sign so many
autographs today
okay I didn’t have to sign one I let you
know get one down NOP not
one oh man that’s great now talking
about uh cam Smith one more thing about
cam he said in his press conference that
it would be epic if he were to get a win
here just coming out of the Masters did
you notice a different Focus or
confidence on him today yeah absolutely
I mean he played great at the Masters
coming in tight six he had some great
memories here last year as well I tell
you what I said this on the broadcast
walking with him today compared to last
year you can certainly tell he’s just
extra Focus today I think you know it
takes a lot of discipline to really put
the crowd and not have it overwhelm you
when you have that much uh home love
from your home crowd it takes a lot of
discipline to stay in the present and
he’s very much of a processed guy and I
think that’s exactly what he did today
all right let’s talk a little John Ram
you got to follow him around as well
today uh he’s she nice grou didn’t she
you had a great day Su um from what you
saw here are some highlights tell us
suan here’s some John R yeah this is uh
he started out really well he’s cutting
it great I spoke to Adam Hayes his caddy
uh before the round and he said you know
he hasn’t really been playing his best
golf yet he’s been contending he really
shouldn’t be outside the top four in his
last his last five events and that’s
kind of frightening Dom to think that he
hasn’t had his best golf yet he has
contended week in week out and this week
is no different with 5 under no not at
all but you know he’s mad at himself
that he hasn’t pulled off a victory yet
I mean he is desperate for that first
one one of his quotes was he said it’s
it’s not us who makes these events
special it’s the fans uh how was it
watching his reaction to the fans here
oh I spoke to Adam Hayes right after the
12th hole I think on the 13th three and
I go did he enjoy that walk on 12th he
goes oh yeah he loved it you know he’s a
kind of player that really feeds off the
crowd one of his favorite events are the
was waist man very similar type of vibe
it’s a party Vibe and uh he really was
enjoying it you can certainly tell he
was saying in the poster on interview
the Australians were really having a
good time with him none of them were
being too rude everyone was being really
respectful you can certainly tell he was
really the crowd has been fantastic all
right d what sorry to cut you off you
already cut me off anytime know you’re
not the only
one I do it all the time tell tell us
about your day you got to follow guys
like Dustin Johnson and Bryson to brys
and M ker and it was brilliant uh they
they didn’t play particularly well they
just couldn’t get any momentum they were
hitting good shots uh DJ played well
early got a birdie early on but missed
three or four very short putts was very
unlike DJ Bryson was very aggressive
especially off the te trying to drive
some of those drivable par fours this is
Bryson some highlights from his yeah he
bogied the opening hole it’s the par
three is the hardest hole in the course
250 yards but he got a birdie there on
the fifth and watch this one I thought
there’d be a hole in one here on the
sixth today with that PIN position and
this was probably as close as we got and
that only missed by 6 Ines or so and
backto back birdies and here on the
seventh he hit a six sign for his second
shot so that was an eagle part not
really had a chance but it was a taing
birdie three in a row but nothing really
great happened after that that did would
you say he seemed more focused coming
out of the Masters I think so Jerry
asked me that at the half time show and
definitely he is he’s got the game face
on right from the first te but he was
very friendly to the crowd and there
were like suan noted out in the golf
course there were so many kids and it
seemed like they were all stationed
between the green and the te so they
were you know trying to stick their
hands out and Bryson and DJ they were
high-fiving them all the way down you
see their faces just lit up now you
mentioned DJ Dustin Dustin Johnson let’s
talk about his day a little bit uh what
you noticed from him what do you think
it is with him him here so far that uh
is uh giving him the results that we’re
seeing today well he he birdied his
second hole great start but uh he just
missed a couple of Parts this was a two
good shots in 10 onto the edge of the
green and on 15 look this clipped the
tree you heard it and that could go
anywhere but look where it ends up I
mean that’s an incredible
break and he’ make that for
birdie we’re now on the 16th here good
t- shot get on it but he got the most
awful break on 18 I think you’ll ever
see he was right on the edge of the
Fairway up against a CA in a in a almost
in a divot he was asking for a rolling
asking for a drop he didn’t get it and
uh he he made at least I think he made a
double that that’s when I got caught
away to go to Danny Lee and here’s that
leaderboard coming out of day one
uh Kazuma leading the the charge here
Carlos Ortiz uh right under at two when
you look at this leaderboard what what
stands out to you suan D feel free to
jump in here I mean the first name that
popped out to me was Andy Ogle tree he
really has been struggling all season
long he had such a great year last year
so good to see him back in his uh usual
playing abilities uh and of course then
Meo Pereira right there as well seven on
a part this is a great Golf Course for
him yeah guys who haven’t played
particularly well this year here uh Ogle
tree and Pereira but uh not surprised to
see Peter Uline up there he’s one of the
best Putters out here and these greens
are absolutely perfect when you get a
good putter a guy with a great stroke on
good greens he’s going to have a good
round or a good week here’s the uh team
leader board here
torque they my pig this
week love that what about your iron
heads Dom I know you love those guys I
love the iron heads and look at them
yeah and they know they’re playing
together this week certainly today and
it must have helped uh almost Danny Lee
that he was playing with jinny who was
off to this hot start and it kind of
motivated him to drag himself up there
with him I almost thought they’d finish
at One D I was watching yeah and
defending Champions uh from this week of
Four Aces GC not quite the start they
wanted they really have been off to a
really slow start to the season yeah
they just can’t seem to put three or
four good rounds together at the same
day but look at that picture all so we
got some social media Clips here who’s
that what’s going on over here is that
you I yeah I need to get that thing that
that t k beer hat did did you have that
all day S no no you know did you
actually take a sip I bet you did I
would though that can was not open and
it was a little too early this morning
but I would I need that for tonight’s
footies that’s a good look for you you
must have gave it to Jerry huh is that
what you did oh hell
no I’m just mad you didn’t bring it to
the show here suan there a lot of babies
out there as you can see the fans are

75,000 fans everyone’s motivated
everyone’s working harder you know Ethan
leash was in the gym this morning which
I don’t think I would ever see in my
life Mark has been un
I think we we’re all looking to improve
we’ve all sort of found our feet a bit
it’s just a matter of combining well
really and Matt Jones of Ripper
GC that’s the way to come back cam is
very impressive every year I mean I get
to see it day in and day out when we
practice and when we play and it’s quite
annoying it’s not a pot up it’s a magic
wand we got Lucas Herbert in this year
Lucas and I have a very similar playing
style I think we both like to be very
aggressive he’s a player that makes a
ton of birdies man can go really really
low we play the Australian events at the
end of the year the Australian Open and
the Australian PGA championships and the
amount of rip of GC Huts that I saw
getting around at those events year was
just incredible from Down Under who are
surging on Championship Sunday to
celebrate with not only three other
teammates but you know some of your best
mates as well it was it was pretty epic
it’s all about the Australians here
Ripper GC winners at last
there goes that classic uh shouey from
cam Smith love to see that as you can
see the merchandise is there the fans
are getting out a whole lot of Ripper GC
gear was floating around today uh look
at that I got to get me one of those
right there make sure you guys check out

on site have clearly uh did their damage
at the uh merchandise site uh Wade is
back way to tag back in Dom you’re here
um I wanted to open up the conversation
again about the iron heads I mean what
an incredible day they had as a team um
where do we start Dom what did you
notice why why are things going so well
for them in day one well uh you know
Danny Lee he’s from New Zealand so he’s
played in these conditions before he he
had a pretty bad injury last year for
most of the year he had a wrist and
thumb injury and he’s clearly recovered
from that and he’s such an aggressive
player he’s one of those players once he
gets going and he gets in the Rhythm he
can really light it up can’t he wait
yeah exactly D especially playing in
that format today with the teams all
playing together you know both so both
those guys were feeding off each other
Kazuma great to see come through the
live qualifying and promotions event see
him having a great day I think you
birdie five or six of his first eight
holes it’s incredible he’s out here on
the Range all four iron heads are back
out in the range and post post game
which is which is cool just shows you
how much they really want this win well
not just the iron heads the the rang is
packed you know look at it everybody’s
still out here it just tells you how
seriously they’re taking this I mean
this is Big Time Golf we have some

yeah day one this man knows this course
a little bit better than I do he’s a
member here so let me have a look here
we got number 15 Kazuma little left to
right down the
hill the greens are very quick here this
week he was filling it up early in the
round this is number one there was some
tough pins out there today
Wade yeah the Aussie boys touched on
that you know it always looks a bit
easier on TV but um it’s pretty tricky
out there not too tough on this one only
110 yards I thought there was going to
be a hole in one here today yeah so this
is a hole that Greg’s um just re
recreated out of nothing so this was
never here this hole so Greg started
that from scratch so it’s a beautiful
little pa three
yeah Danny Lee that was his birdie also
on the six and number 10 number 10 this
is a short side downhill great bunker
shot here better than great
perfect nice
Eagle now now waade on a on a course
like this how does a team like iron
heads keep this momentum going in day
two well all the boys are going to get
split up tomorrow it’s going to be a
seated type draw so they’re not going to
be in their teams so to speak so um I
think um Kazuma and Lee are going to be
playing together in the last group
that’s going to be exciting for them
probably an experience they haven’t had
before but um the golf course is going
to play much the same starting to pop up
now even though it’s fresh so the course
will dry out a little bit and um
hopefully these greens um get a little
bit firmer and um make it a good test
for them yeah it was a little softer
today I think after the rains yesterday
morning they were just there was kind of
B few balls spinning back yeah exactly
Dom I kind of want want this place to
play firm but it’s just this time of
year it’s kind of hard to dry it out you
just don’t get that direct sunlight to
bake the place out well D I want to

opportunity to catch up with Kevin n
yesterday on the Range let’s take a look
at how that
went in professional golf the data helps
us paint a picture with the ball flight
we’ve got a magnificent ball Striker
here Kevin Nar do you like the iron
heads top I love I’m representing here I
hope I get commission you should you
should if we sell a lot of shirts we can
get a cut thank you thank you right now
we’re going to talk about ball flight
specifically I want you to hit some
shots we’re going to talk about the
Baseline data that you look for when
you’re getting ready for the tournament
all right sound good we’re going to go
at the 150 yes what sort of ball flight
do you like to see I like to play a
little draw so I like to be a little
into out with a slightly shed face where
I play that little nice little draw
let’s see
one just like that o that was a good one
and what sort of data in terms of the
path that you’re looking for is it
around so I’m about 2° in or out and
they say I’m not an expert on this but
they say the club face has to be half of
half shut of if it’s in or out 2° it
needs to be shut 1° to the path I can
confirm that is correct you’ve passed
test number one doesn’t not matter what
it looks like on camera it’s what I feel
and I like to feel like I’m a it’s like
a push draw where I’m staying down
through it where my I feel like my my
leading left hand is leaning leaning the
shaft a little bit and the club is
coming a little bit delayed and it’s
it’s it’s struck nicely little in out
and it’s that nice little draw that’s
see another one for everyone at home
that is spot on as a feel push draws are
exceptionally good stop she getting
steak a little thin but it was still the
same ball FL and that that’ll take a
nice hop forward and if I act like I hit
it good you you would have know would
you like to see let’s pretend we got the
150 is the flag you can’t go right of it
so that see the little fade into it so
it’s a right pin yes can’t finish
right a see what I’m saying okay so that
was probably the inside path and okay
let me let me change my my path okay I’m
going to go more so what you’re doing
moving up in The Stance
y there it is see I just needed one
practice so you need it to start left
all the time is say you don’t want to
hit a push fade so the path I I kept the
face open but I haven’t hit a cut in a
while so the path was too inside out
with an open face so I immediately
adjusted with the path was more out to
in and I held it and started left
because a start line you have to when
you hit a cut start left and the ball
position helps you do that now talk
about trajectory high low let’s see a
high one how did you play that um I
raise the gun barrel which means the
left shoulder goes up ball position is
not as F that one I’ve never heard that
before
and you you lean back a little bit with
a high
finish that was really good that was
money little push draw High yes I’ll
take that that’s going to get the hole
in one on 12 and let’s see the lower
trajectory please I know it’s an eight
iron but what do you do different uh
obviously back in the St and the key to
is staying forward for me because my bad
tendency is I’d come up on it and lean
right so my what I’m trying to see is
almost feel like I’m falling on the ball
and I stay down through it
oh he’s he’s on one I mean I can’t
gamble oh that was really good I’ll take
that I’m not a long hitter when I play
my best I’ll hit more Fairways and I’m a
great iron player I’ll put my position
in a good spot to make putts I can Chip
and Putt in a golf course like this
where you don’t have to hit it far these
are the courses that I have to play well
on and there are courses where I just
know that it’s I’m I’m at a disadvantage
and I just got to make more putts um um
but for me you know it’s about hit
hitting it straight I do work on speed
at home um if I don’t work out or I
don’t work on my speed training my speed
my my ball uh ball speed number will go
down and I have to do my best to
maintain my ball speed and I’m getting
older can I see an 8 where you step on
it step on one don’t worry about the
spin youve just got to really send one
what are you going to do with an 8 just
swing
harder oh that strike was good that was
a good strike we like that nice little
draw a hint left to the Target but
that’s not bad come on let’s see one
more and then we’ll let I know Danny’s
waiting for you for your practice round
what we going for we’re going for that
my same Stock
Shop what I’m good at that right there
ah nice little draw oh I just hit the
150 I was looking at you I have ey for
that Kevin thank you so much everyone at
home you got to know your strengths get
in the gym work on that speed and get
creative it there’s nothing working on
speed at home and on the Range but when
you go out in the course when it’s time
to go play don’t think about that and
just put your swing on I’m going to let

over there uh and uh we’re back we’re
back I think Rachel’s actually on the
range right now
uh Rachel never uh leaves that range
I’ll tell you that she does a great job
over there uh we’re actually going to
toss over to Rachel at this time I think
she’s got some more action going on at
the range R what’s up there she is can
you see me over here top deck whereing
and I’ve actually got to hit golf balls
with some of the world’s best golfers
underneath me I mean what’s going on now
it was a pleasure to speak with Kevin R
and I certainly know and a lot of other
golfers know how tough it is to play a
great round and keep it going even when
you’re Hing it great so I’m going to
give you a few couple of tips about
impact and I also want to discuss with
you about something else I picked up
from Kevin and his caddy Kenny before we
got here so Kenny when they get to the
tournament they’re working to the
strength of Kevin’s game so they’re
doing their yardages getting their
flying distance and then they’re going
to try and leave those yardages when
they’re playing so that’s a great tip
for you at home number one the next one
is impact Now Kevin has a Fant fantastic
swing but the most important bit is this
part so we’re going from waist height
down to the ball and through to the
follow through so that is always
thinking about when he’s playing and
I’ve got two great tips to help you with
this so you’re going to have to wish me
luck cuz can see DJ down there right tip
number one so what you’re going to do
you’re going to stand to add dress
you’re going to step your right your
Trail foot out and join it with your
left now as you take the club back get
to waist height step out and then you’re
going to hit the golf shot it’s a
challenge but it helps you with impact
so I’m going to step out let my lead
foot
join and then step through one of the
common faults I see with a lot of people
that I teach is they actually go this
way and lean back low Point goes back
and you get the golf ball heavy so let’s
do that one more time so you’re going to
step out Get the Lead Foot with you
you’re going to take it
back and step through and move through
shot what that does is it helps you get
that strike and you can turn through now
I’ve got one more for you okay so you’re
going to put the ball ball down get a
teg and you’re going to put it just
after the golf ball now your focus needs
to be on hitting this te again a lot of
common faults I see players move back
strike comes before the golf ball by
putting the tea in front of the golf
ball it helps get your attention this
way
so good setup and then attention on the
TEEG I’ve just hit one of the candies
with the
TEEG but that’s what you want to do and
it’s Ricky Elliot Brooks’s caddy but it
was a good strike
so I’m going to do it one more time and
try and not kill Ricky ellot Brooks kep
his
caddy again same again tea after the
golf ball good
setup I’m definely got him again but
again it helps you get that strike and
helps you get that ball flight I’m going
to finish up now or I’m going to get
told off but Kevin n gave some great
tips focus on that impact play to your
strengths you can be down here on the

Lehman hi I’m Mark Lehman from Ripper GC
welcome to my live lesson all right so
we’re here on the 18th 130 yard to the
pin it’s a back pin into the wind
there’s different aspects to it there’s
controlling your ball of course in the
air so you want to control it on the
ground as well your short game can pull
you out of a lot of trouble so I think
for that reason it’s one of the if not
the most important part Mar lean after a
fabulous second shot
oh well he deserved that wedge play is
all about pinpointing the the distance
Le showing all of that Aussie grit and
determination now it’s up to you to go
out do some practice learn the skills a
little bit better and put it to
work great lesson from Rachel great
lesson from Lehman and how about this
the caddy races uh from our cleaks caddi
here this was on a watering hole earlier
uh he’s struggling there any he who says
the cad AR athletes I I got to say that
is one of the most entertaining things
to watch right there it’s actually
steadily uphill there so it’s a bit of a
um it’s a bit of a task wait that that’s
got to be tough to do right to to run
with all that heavy equipment on you
yeah yeah those bags are heavy than what
people think you know we’re plenty of
stuff jammed in there and look at that
beautiful view this is where you call
home I would love for you to talk to me
more about just these fans and how
special this atmosphere is yeah like I
said before once um RAM and cam finished
on 18 there’s been a wave of people come
over here and all around the the range
area at the moment a lot of guys are
still out here hitting balls I see DJ
right
now and that view there is just
absolutely beautiful I love to to hear
what you were saying there but here’s

winning score of 2023 do you guys know

watering hole and I feel like for those
watching it’s one of those things where
you you kind of have to be here to
really understand so if you wouldn’t

the viewers it is insane over there I
have never seen anything like it in the
sport of golf or in any sport really no
it’s unbelievable so um here we got a
picture of Jonesy here pouring one in
there up the hill right to left I’m
pretty happy with that and I think um Le
leash followed man he just um told us a
minute ago he got the hand up early
normally they missed but this one went
straight in the
guts did you spend any time over at that
Watering Hole today I didn’t get over
there but I was there in the proam and
it was daunting enough in the proam here
T Hatton this is the closest one we had
today to the ho in one look at this
worked around the back there bit stiff
not to go in that one would have been
nice to see T’s reaction there wouldn’t
it yes absolutely and the big smile
there there’s another one
Stenson is probably the funniest guy on
tour so is he really oh my God just
snuck through it past that right
Edge and N of the club just chucked
Club yeah just imagine the feeling Cam’s
feeling walking through here the rockar
entrance yeah so you got the shark Shack
right behind him the Garden on the right
you got Watering Hole signage there and
then um the cell door at the back here
was a fun one here
almost incredible Bunker play incredible
short
game that many eyeballs watching you
then gets a little bit tougher and it’s
just great to hear those fans and that
crowd every single
moment you are going to spend some time
there this weekend or what way yeah I’ll
definitely sneak out there
tomorrow look at the fans there and this
is just some clips of the fans we can’t
show them all as you can see look gets a
little crazy over there there’s some
dancing over there uh now you were here
last year
obviously would you say we’re taking it
to another level this year in
Adelaide here’s some uh social media
Clips too would you say we’re taking it
to another level this year or what we
absolutely I think the crowds are
doubled to what they were last year the
structures are doubled in size and just
everything’s just up another step so um
it’s great to see so many people here in
Adelaide watching live golf enjoying the
best players and as you can see here is
the excitement from the fans um talk a
little bit about just the tourism here
and for people who have not been here
before who are attending just how
special it is here and things that that
people can see and do that they can’t do
anywhere else the adel’s going off at
the moment we had the gather around
Australian football um League their
their big round here a couple of weeks
ago got the Barosa Valley got stuff down
south amazing beaches great Eatery real
boutique style eating and um yeah it’s
fantastic to see Adelaide at its peak
wonderful look at that beauty right
there fans are still here the driving
range is absolutely
packed you got to be here to understand
how special that energy is here and
ladies and gentlemen the watering hole
at the Grange this week is filled with
Australian wild wildlife but a viewing
actual animals and their natural habitat
is on your bucket list then a trip to
Kangaroo Island is in order make it
happen ladies and gentlemen while kaai
Wes aidas and of course the ruse will
amaze and Delight you no trip to the
island is complete until you visit the
remarkable rocks a collection of
odd-shaped granite Builders overlooking
the Southern Ocean have you uh spent
some time there wait absolutely I have
it’s a beautiful untouched piece of land
over there some fabulous hotels fabulous
spots and um yep you got to get over
there you haven’t been there it’s um one
of the true Treasures of Australia now
as our day comes to an end I would love
to hear your your final thoughts of day
one and as we head into day two maybe
some predictions or what we can look
ahead to yeah so obviously obvious um
highlights there today Kazuma real low
one out there I think Andy Ogle tree
great to see him back in some form
winning The International Series last
year I think he shot six seven under
today and then there’s going to be some
guys that are going to um come back
fighting hard tomorrow you know Dustin
Johnson got a bit of a bad break there
on 18 he’s going to fire low and um yeah
there’s a number of other guys cam Smith
he’ll be in the mix and um it’s going to
be a real shoot outcome the last um 36
holes we’re expecting over 100,000 fans
throughout this week which is crazy to
say well would you say tomorrow might
get a little more intense with the fans
it’s going to be crazy have a look at
the scenes here on 18 it’s like last
year but it’s only bigger look at this
great crowds at live Adelaide cam Smith
is a rockar out there look at that crowd
following cam Smith he’s got the hair of
a rockar hasn’t he
absolutely uh you are too by the way uh
we couldn’t catch a break as we were
standing over here getting ready for the
show fans stopping to talk to you here’s
another tweet here Adelaide Ur Rock and
and this is not this is only the first
round this is why I asked you what can I
look forward to in day two day three uh
will the energy be 10x the energy is
definitely going to go up um tomorrow is
completely sold out every every stage is
sold out so it’s going to be bigger and
better again so um really look for
forward to it the weather’s going to
brighten up even more than what it has
today it’s bit of a cold nip in the wind
right now but um it’s going to um it’s
going to be even better on the weekend
uh are there any other honorable
