so how do you go about finding the
correct golf ball maybe for your golf
game with so many golf balls out on the
market what are some of the things you
might want to look for so let’s run
through there’s lots of different ideas
when it comes to golf B and you might
have your own ones these are some of the
things I would advise you to think about
so let’s think about price the kick us
off so when you come down in range of
golf balls you will lose a bit of
performance if you will see that
performance loss or not is up to you so
when you come up to this end say chrom
soft zar from stricken tailor ma top
ball Prov v1x and prov1x and Prov um
you’re going to pay more money up at the
end but you’re going to get distance off
a te and Max Spin and control going in
and around green so that’s what you’re
going to pay for up that end when you
come down this end and you can’t moving
down and you come down a little bit into
some of the more reasonably priced golf
balls you could say you are going to
lose a bit of that control going into
the greens if you see that or not over
time is up to you to decide other ideas
you could pick your golf ball on is
you’re going to get ones that feel maybe
softer than others so if we stay in top
range here this ball won’t feel maybe
quite as soft as this ball off the face
a chrome soft might film softer than a
trfi or a Prov or a zed star or a tailor
made equivalent so if there is a desired
feel that you want from your golf ball
that you’re buying into that’s something
to think about as well when you come to
this mid-range you’re going to get
different brands so tit this the shrien
Taylor Made coware they all make this
mid-range um and you’re going to get a
bit of The Best of Both Worlds so better
pricing plus some of the elements of
control on those maybe one of the most
popular balls in this range is the Cen
ad333 based on price and its overall
performance then you got things like qar
tour divides cuz it starts asking some
different questions so we get this
divide pattern on this B and at any
price this might be something else that
you’re buying into you might want a
certain Jazzy pattern you’ve got the
speed soft ink from tailor made with a
amazing pattern or the tour response
stripe with the big stripe if you’re
lining things up like that with the uh
Divide from the qar or you’ve got the
chrom soft here with true track pattern
on so you might be buying on pattern if
you are buying on pattern you can go
through the price range so you can stay
up there coming down here or come down
to the lower parts of the price
inspection when it comes to golf ball
then you might have brand alliances
which is fine you know you love titless
balls you love Taylor May balls you love
shrien balls you love Callaway golf
balls which you might stick to each
brand will have one of the brackets of
golf balls throughout we’ve got full
reviews of ranges of golf balls across
the website so if you want to learn more
about the full range from an individual
brand go to like the stricken page and
we’ve got a full stck and range of golf
balls to show you what they do within
their own range and then obviously
you’ve got price for lots of people if
you’re losing lots of golf balls you
don’t see the difference in performance
here downwards is great if you’re
someone competing trying to be your best
you want to be as most consistent as you
can be doesn’t matter what your handicap
is my advice as a professional would be
to stay up in the more consistent and
performance range of golf balls if you
have the money my daughter when she
started she played this ball where she
was losing ball she wasn’t noticing a
difference going into green she was just
out there having fun
I’m just going to get her a bowl that is
more reasonably priced cuz I know we’re
going to be looking for it a little bit
more as she learned what are the
decisions that make you go for the golf
ball that you play have you tried
different ones as well cross Brands
cross price let me know as always
interested to hear there’s some outliers
of how to pick maybe the G best golf
ball for your game

  1. Trying different balls this year i actually tried the Taylormade speedsoft ink for 9 holes and shot a 39 was very surprised how it felt and how it played next 9 holes i used the Callaway ERC soft and shot a 38 again felt great in every way next 2 balls i am gonna try next 18 holes is the new AVX for 9 holes and the TP5 for 9 holes round after that I will try for 9 holes the PXG extreme ball and the tour Response orange stripe then will narrow it down to 2 balls then the 1 i am thinking ya can't really go wrong with any of them I am 59 with a swing speed of 90-94 mph and a 7 handicap i also hit a high ball usually so all of them have been having great stopping power on the greens as well thx for what you do Mark well done cheers from Canada

  2. I thought $2 per ball sounded thoroughly reasonable until i realised i was losing one out of every three sub-7 iron hit. Now i’m all-in on sneaking a few range balls out there!!

  3. I'm a 15 handicapper, I used to play Wilson iwound until they stopped making them, so have been trying to find a new ball since last year. I have tried new Wilson's, Taylormade and have ended up with Srixon AD333, but I've read they are discontinuing these, so the search goes on. Never found prov1s did anything for more game so what's the point in paying £5 a ball.

  4. Qstar divides is my choice, I just like how it feels and putts. Spin is negligible to me as a mid handicapper. Price is nice

  5. I’m a vice pro convert. All reviewers say they’re not as good as their comparable counterparts but I’ve tried them all and I call bullshit. They have cheaper ones too that compare to these lower priced ones but at a discount. DTC is the go for balls.

  6. Just started playing Vision brand.
Great in wi d and good distance.
Quality ball made in same factory as many of the OOM balls.
