remember we had that five-way tie at top
the leaderboard going to this final
round and here we go with Steven joerger
played well on that front nine didn’t he
trip oh he did indeed and capping it off
with a beautiful shot 8 feet there nine
went flag hunting and uh he would make
birdie there Scotty Sheffer trying to
answer well he does as he often does
Rich he says whatever you can do I’m
world number one for a reason and he
knocks that in there 5 ft away inside a
jagger so 11 under and one back now
Alejandro toasty at the part 412 birdie
putt 9 ft yes struggled a little early
missed a couple of makeable ones early
and we thought maybe this might not be
his day on the greens but beautiful putt
there from just 13 or 9 ft how big was
this at
13 huge this was this is where if there
was going to be a turning point this is
for par he hit it over the green smart
pitch to hear didn’t mess with short and
he buries that par Putt and then
sheffer’s got it 13t right behind the
hole easy putt down the hill and this
was the story of his day just missing by
inches every single time he had a
makeable putt it seemed like yeah that
could have been a big momentum swing
Alejandro toasty 15th he
was making just about everything he had
to
make yeah lucky it didn’t go in the
water and he get lucky it didn’t come
back to him on the pit pitch but there’s
no luck involved in that that was just a
great putt under pressure and he loves
the moment stays at 11 under and a shot
back now at the par 516th I mean he airs
this
out booah right there there you go
that’s how you do it let’s just hit it
383 right down the middle longest of the
day by Miles 56 in stature but hits it
like a giant modern day we woozy he
would make birdie 12 under tied with
Jagger for the lead now Thomas dietre at
the part 516 his second from 218 yards
yeah the sweet swinging dri and he was
part of the mix and hit a beautiful shot
in there just 9 ft away here he is but
the story of his day as well leading the
field in Strokes game putting coming
into the final round and well he was
undone hitting great putts that weren’t
going in that seemed the story of a lot
of people this week he finished at 11
under still looking for that first win
Scotty sheffler at the par 516 from 24
yd second
shot don’t ever count him out coming off
of bogey at 15 he doubled there
yesterday and ended up hitting a shot
just like this didn’t make Eagle
yesterday could he make Eagle today Rich
could he do it this would be the first
putt he would make seemed like all day
long that was one of the worst putts he
hit all day long still it’s a two putt
birdie he’s 11 under and a shot back of
jger and toasty here’s Alejandro at the
18 yep and you know he’s going to launch
it up there was a bird he needs a bird
and uh he would win the tournament a
bird chirp so he had the control but
then out in front of it Club face
open and over to the right so he’s going
to have to get
creative
now he is chipping his third yeah third
shot so he got to here but little too
much
speed so he’s at 12 under he’s going to
have to make that to stay there yeah he
would miss the putt it was a bogey
disappointing so he’s back at 11 under
par Sheffer 18th from
185 just knew he was GNA answer you knew
he was going to put it in joerger had
hit the green
cheffer in there close doing what number
ones do and now
joerger can close it out right here 18
ft 3 in or excuse me 21 ft away what a
putt now Scotty should have seen this
break I don’t understand why he would
not know he said he hit it straight if
he was watching that putt he knows it’s
got to be going left he had to get that
on the right Edge he said he hit it
where he wanted but uh there’s your
first win

jger put a veteran caddy Henry Diana on
his
bag Julie ellion you may know that name
as his performance coach she’s done
wonders in working with the US Open
champ Windham Clark and now the man who
came from Germany to High School in
Tennessee playing uh golf in high school
uh with Keith Mitchell and haris English
has at last won on the PGA tour after
six victories on the corn faery tour
adding some speed uh in every aspect now
uh fully
improved
