what’s up guys welcome back to the
channel and welcome to episode 2 of this
road to open qualifying Series in this
video I’ll be walking you through the
equipment I’m going to be using for the
upcoming US Open local qualifying and
Canadian open regional qualifier that I
will be doing in miday now filming this
video got a little bit messed up i’ plan
to film the entire thing at golf Express
just in the Southshore Montreal that’s
where you will have seen me go through
my warm-up unfortunately I got about a
quarter of the way through filming it
and then it started raining so this
video is a little all over the place in
terms of locations now just before we
get into this video I want to give a
quick shout out to my new apparel
sponsor for Amigos these these guys here
these guys offer high quality shirts at
very affordable prices and offer free
shipping anywhere in Canada and the US
on any order over $50 you’ll find a link
to their website in the description
below below and if you use my promo code
JC Davis 15 you’ll save an additional
15% at checkout now without further Ado
let’s get into my year so I’ve been
playing Cleveland and trixon clubs for
the past 4 years now and as far as I’m
concerned they make some of the most
underrated clubs in the industry if you
haven’t tried their gear yet next time
you’re on the market for new clubs make
sure you give them a try so I’ll start
with my wedges I have three Cleveland
RTX 6 wedges in the bag I have a 6° a
56° bent to 55° as well as a 50° all
three of them have 10° of Bounce they
all have nipon modus 120 g extra stiff
shafts in them and are outfitted with
Golf Pride tour velvet 360

[Music]
grips for my irons I’m using the first
generation trixon Z x7s they have since
released the ZX7 Mark 2s though I
received my Z x7s from them not long
before the release of the mark 2s I
didn’t really see a need to upgrade the
irons perform amazingly well for me in
my bag I have ZX7 4 iron through
pitching wedge with the nipon modus 120
g extra stiff shafts and Golf Pride T
velvet 360 grips

now we get into the clubs with head
covers so for a few years I carried a
shcks and driving iron which I loved it
was just a fantastic Club until about
mid last season I ended up trying out
their two hybrid and absolutely fell in
love with it I honestly think it is the
best golf club I’ve ever owned so this
is the shrien ZX Mark 2 2 hybrid comes
in at 17° I’ve got an extra stiff
hazardous smoke RDX shaft in it and a
Golf Pride tour velvet 360
[Music]
grip my 3-wood is the shrien ZX MK2 this
comes in at 15° this also has the extra
stiff hazardous smoke RDX shaft and a
Golf Pride tour velvet 360
[Music]
grip the driver I’m using at the moment
is a 92° trixon zx5 Mark I low spin head
it’s a 9.5 de driver but I currently
have it lofted down to 8 1/ 12° I’m
using the tensei white 60 G extra stiff
shaft and like 12 other clubs in my bag
this also has the Golf Pride tourva 360
[Music]
grip now onto my putter now currently
this is the only Club my bag that is not
tricken or Cleveland though that being
said I do have a Cleveland putter on the
way it just hasn’t arrived yet at the
moment I’m using the Odyssey TW ball 11
Tour line it’s 35 in long has 71° Li
angle a slight little bit of tow hang
and just a very basic Odyssey Putter
grip so now we’ll get into what’s
actually in the bag itself so in the
front pocket I always keep my gloves I
use the shrien premium cabretta leather
glove in a Cadet small size now that’s
going to s sound very small I mean I do
not have the biggest hands in the world
but these gloves are definitely very
tight when I initially put them on but I
like it because once they stretched out
a little bit they still fit my hand
really well in the ball pocket you’ll
find my golf balls I use the trixon Zed
star XV this ball performs amazingly for
me again another piece of very
underrated equipment that trixon puts
out it is a very high quality ball and
the price point is quite friendly
compared to some other premium golf
balls on the market this is also the
pocket where I’m going to keep my
rangefinders so I do have two I have one
outfitted with slope and one without the
slope version I’ll use in my practice
rounds when I’m charting out the course
and then the non-s slope version I’ll
use an actual tournament play in the
pocket just above that I will keep my
T’s ball marker repair tools pencils
spare batteries for the rangefinders as
well as what I like to call my savings
account basically anytime I have loose
change in my pocket I just throw it in
there I do have to be sure that I empty
out this pocket fairly regularly though
cuz the bag does get pretty heavy moving
on to the large pocket this is where
I’ll keep my snacks my rain cover
tension bands that you saw me warming up
with earlier sunscreen my driver tool
and a few putting AIDS so I have a very
basic putting mirror as well as my Vio
putting mat which allows me to do
checkups on my putting stroke and make
sure that it’s staying consistent in the
small Pockets above that I’ll usually
keep some like hofen tablets just in
case I’m a little sore one day my
Sharpies for when I’m marking my golf
balls always green some hydration packs
as well as a few Lucky Charms and $20
that I took off of boot weekly the first
time I played against them then we have
my club brush a compass my tricks and
umbrella two alignment sticks and two
towels the light one for my hands the
dark one for cleaning clubs so that’s
the tour of my golf bag let me know in
the comments down below if you have any
questions subscribe to the channel if
you haven’t already and I’ll be back
again next week with episode three of
road to open qualifying thanks for
watching guys cheers

  1. Very cool! Love to see how easy you get those distances. Out of curiosity, what Srixon irons would be appropriate for the level of my game?

  2. Amazing swing and yardages, new subscriber and looking forward to following along! Cleveland/Srixon guy myself, love to see other who appreciate their stuff! Good luck out there!
