hello everyone it’s Matt here from AF
golf store and today we’re here to talk
about the new 2024 Scotty Cameron
Phantom
lineup there are 10 shapes models within
the new Scotty Cameron range and we’re
here to talk about what refinements
Scotty’s made on these particular
Putters in terms of Milling the shapes
the materials and how they might help
you hold more putts so first and
foremost Scotty Cameron is an engineer
and designer at heart he loves drawing
he loves designing product so with that
in mind all of his Parts have been
engineered in a way to help the golfer
address the ball in a square motion
there are poters with dots there are
poters with lines there are poters with
multiple lines to help the golfer set
the Potter in the best Square position
possible the poters themselves are still
manufactured out the same material so
we’ve got a stainless steel body and an
aluminum plate underneath it varies
depending on the product how much of
each one there is but as we move into
the larger heads there’s a little bit
more of the black aluminum that’s to
move the weight from the middle of the
head more towards the perimeter so the
larger the head generally the more
forgiving and stable the Potter
[Music]
is so on every single model the face is
consistent of a dual milled face
construction what that basically means
is we’ve got a deep Milling within the
head mainly and then there’s a very very
small Mill in between the thicker Mills
what that basically does for the average
golfer is just give us a really good
idea of where we struck the PT so if
we’re striking it centered it gives us
great response that we know we’ve hit a
good Center PT if we hit it a little bit
heel and toe it lets us know that we’ve
done that and if our Pace control is a
little bit off we’ve got the
understanding okay on the next p we
don’t actually need to hit it any harder
we just need to work on our strike
[Music]
location So within the range as we said
there are multiple heads basically
within the head range the larger the
number the larger the head really really
simple so the five is the small sort of
fang design which is really popular and
then you move up to the 11 which is the
largest head really simple story really
easy to follow so finally the last
question we get asked quite a lot about
Scotty Cameron putters why does one say
five and why does one say 5.5 well the
really simple answer to that is
generally to do with the neck so on the0
five models we have this short sort of
slant neck which generally will create a
little bit more tow hang the numbers
which are whole numbers so are five they
have a longer neck system and generally
play more face balanced although they
don’t actually play to a pure face
balance Scotty Putters always have a
tiny little bit of tow hang on them
[Music]
so custom options for Putters a little
bit less options than you get in a
traditional club driver iron Etc but
there still are options that need to be
addressed so the first thing we look at
in any part of fit is getting the right
length having the right length of putt
is really going to help a golfers set
their eye position in the appropriate
place just around an inch inside the
head or generally just where the shaft
meets the head itself the other section
we’ll be looking at is the weight with
Scotties they have two weight ports in
the bottom we can make them a little bit
heavier depending on the model and the
length for someone that wants a bit more
head weight or potentially struggles
with leaving part short and the final
aspect would be the grip the only bit
we’re obviously holding on to there’s a
new poter grip on this it’s more of a
paddle design slightly thicker in the
bottom hand but there are other options
that Scotty camon do and then we
obviously offer third party grips
ourselves as well
with any Potter it’s not really aimed at
a particular golfer you can be a fairly
new golfer you can be a very experience
putter the most important thing is
finding the right one for yourself and
with the Phantom range there are so many
options for any golfer and then if we
don’t fall into the more Mallet style
there is the select version as well
which you’re more of your blades so with
the Scotty Cam and family there should
be a putter for you
