real turnaround for him this season in
his play really struggled last year he’s
ball striking look at that scor card
four consecutive bires in a row and have
we go to four Tony fenel kind of
cruising along after that 62 on Friday
but had a tough day yesterday not a
great start today but perhaps maybe that
yeah maybe that gets him started that
was not an easy pitch from over there
short sided but he handled it
beautifully
get in the
hole
[Music]
the 25 CES have been made on the third
hole
today see what AA batia can do with the
second at five this is O location just
on top just over a ridge right there and
he’s got it in great shape coming off
that bogey at the fourth love to get it
back
boy fantastic line just right the flag
stick I mean they just talked about just
right of it in that conversation that is
exactly where he told him to hit it and
he was gotot he wanted to hit it he’s
putted well this week top five and
strokes gained putting coming into
today back to Beres for Steven and
another man is at 11 under par the par
three from Bren here’s his second from
Beyond the green
that was a little bit
earlier really nice it’s not easy to
judge how that’s going to bump into the
hill and come out of there and he would
go on to save his part that was an
outstanding second shot AE batia just on
the
grass just don’t want to miss short left
on this
angle and he didn’t oh he’s hit some
nice approach shots here early in this
fourth round up at the ninth SEIU Kim
[Applause]
yeah get him while you can K cuz like
you said earlier just like that 31 on
the front nine get it done on the
[Music]
front oh that pours it in first birdie
of the week there at five for
skins Alex nor eagled three can he do it
again here at the
eigh yes he can how about a pair of
Threes at the par fives on the front
side only one more par five that he gets
to play today and that was the hole you
just saw at 16 oh Alex n’s got a couple
of eagles on this front side now he’s
trying to make a birdie from off the
green on that UPS slope he might have
been thinking
make par 58 this is Taylor Moore who has
had a good early run and trying to stti
stay aart of the story two back yeah
front R hole location here at 8
everybody’s given this hole one a run
Steve because batia a chance to jump up
to 11 under by
himself a nice two putt as he left that
eagle putt way short but no problem for
a fatia he’s got four birdies in the
first eight holes the man who won this
event the last time it was played here
at Memorial Park that was in the fall of
2022
Tony Dial It Up well he lost his putting
touch yesterday it seems like he’s
gotten it back there you see that score
card it’s doable if it’s a flat lie it’s
still a really tough bunker shot yeah
it’s slightly on the up slope here that
could unve anyone after that
shot oh that’s really nice slapped it
out of
there done laap for Eagle now at the
eighth he needs this he hasn’t really
played as well near as well today as he
did
yesterday yeah failed to take advantage
of a great opportunity there that was
the closest second shot at the eighth
hole all day long but still gets him to
eight under par this back nine looming
just two back and they are so happy to
have this event back in the spring for
the first time since it moved to the
fall latter part of last decade you the
players unanimously talking about the
golf course conditions from the fairways
they what a putt there two two in a row
for Max he’s nine under par just one
back of the lead like we saw with Nick
dunac chip excuse me putt but also
toasty’s
chip came into this final round leading
the field in Strokes gain putting and
dri fing it up at the eight to take the
lead by himself at 11 under Taylor Moore
has an excellent look at birdie here to
get the double digits under par on the
other side of where graser
was oh and a solid putt there for Taylor
said he wanted to just make the cut ease
his way into the week here he is on the
seventh and they’re playing split te’s
and threes malani has just enjoyed a
magical few days last week at the V bar
his second career PGA Tour Victory and
then about a hole in one at seven as it
rattles in his third career Ace on the
PGA tour Mr Smiles is doing it again
sales of yellow golf balls are going
up it it went in the he doesn’t even
know there’s no people fall around re
it’s buckets Peter come on and honestly
nobody had made a birdie we saw Sheffer
miss his birdie put Callum Taran the
group in front of him had just made the
first birdie of the day here and
now R like a pot that is gorgeous yellow
ball
disappeared look at mon just check it
out yeah okay how about that little flip
there’s that big
smile fastest players on the course
right now joerger and that’s going a
little bit
left right at what a shot took it on
maybe that extra win let him hit it
right at
it kind of looking forward to his
reaction on any shot now he’s all of a
sudden the Chaser and that right at it
too that’s just barely made it over The
Fringe wind is hard left to right
y Ander reaches 12 under
par third Birdie on the front side for
Scotty he’s at 11 under par chasing
Steven joer Nick Dunlap has already hit
a nice shot to about 6 7even ft
away little false front these guys are
worried about but this has enough oh
that’s fantastic gotten better every
single day with his irons that is not
his strength but uh it has been day
right on top that knob almost unless
he’s he’s going to take it out of place
over that
knob oh how about
this wow like Kurt said he had to fly
that about 40 or 50 feet in the air big
putt right
now
oh there you
go a few players that have put it from
here missing it to the
right
look at this
punt just just just missed that
[Music]
wow that’s a Touch of Class oh man is it
ever What A Touch of Class by skins
who’s going to save it and stay at 11
[Applause]
under pops it into the hill with
perfection talk about confidence to hit
it that hard take that one bounce to
just take the speed off of it is just
confidence personified I mean yeah of
course this is extraordinary technique
this also speaks to just how confident
they are that they’re going to get the
right balce this overseed not a lot of
guessing you know if that were Bermuda
you wouldn’t know if it would hit and
stick or hit and jump but again just
beautiful shot right there little
preview of the last hole here 488 yd par
4 coming off of three birdies in a row
15 16 and 17 drove it beautifully down
the right side here just right down the
stick that’s how you finish up imagine
this is going to be low with a lot of
spin left to right to just take it to
the right once it lands he’s taking it
on doesn’t spin half oh yeah checks up
nicely for him have a good look at his
first Birdie on the the back
nine that was a really tough looking
shot there you saw that big knob or n go
across him he elected to land that up on
top of the front of the green and had to
spin to stop
it and that’s what it slid right over
the right Edge he thought it would come
back a little bit Fen now for his birdie
now at
18
big Roar for Tony as he finishes up
crowd knows what he did here back in the
fall of 22 when this tournament was last
played here’s dri back at 17 share of
the
lead another one grazing that right Edge
Unbelievable Facts he miss an 8f footer
on 10 16 and 17 there’s 50/50 chances
missed all three this to get in with a
lead in the clubhouse
nope so he drops back to 11
under trying to hit a cut and hold it up
against that right to left wi this is
right at
it it gives himself a great birdie look
and jger saw every bit of that he may
not know exactly what the scoreboard
looks like but he knows what world
number one looks like in the clutch what
a shot he’s had so many missed
opportunities in this round didn’t
Birdie the eighth that wedge into 10
didn’t make birdie good look at 12
knocked it off the back of the green
didn’t birdie
13
about as close as you can come to not
going in it just leaves the door open
for Sheffer to try to force a play
off and Steven Jagger has broken
through a winner on the PGA
tour tell you what great for Steven jger
Scotty sheffer’s going to rud that short
Miss day two from a foot and a
[Applause]
half there’s their baby
Harrison you know a similar scene what
we saw with the mtis last week the
emotion that comes out it was mady’s
second win but joerger finally gets it
done at the age of 34 Jagger stared
number one down coming down the stretch
and won it by one
