uh you know what the question is you
know what the question is what are you
trying to
[Laughter]
say and I asked a shitty question I
thought was going to be listen when does
this podcast start when when are we
starting are you are you
starting somebody had to ask it somebody
it’s not even a question listen never
mind that I’ve not won I’ve not won
other than a golden OA Club competition
in the US I’ve not I’ve not won on us
soil um I need to get the freaking win
man you uh that will be a big night I
can promise you there I want to be
invited to that night Jerry’s just
Jerry’s just put himself on the [ __ ]
list so he won’t be coming I’m out I’m
[Music]

en chor analyst and with me my co-host

great comments already on the first one
so thank you so much for watching and
thank you so much for um entertaining
us well done well done that was top
level [ __ ] right there H yeah well
anyways um listen I’m jet lag leave me
alone uh okay let’s talk about Miami uh
which is why I’m jet lagged I just got
back from Miami uh what a week dude I
mean that it was pretty cool what is it
our fifth event and we’ve had three
playoffs yeah yeah it’s nuts and how
about that and we came within a even
though the uh win probability which is I
think a really cool thing that we’re
using a lot more now team win
probability was 96% as of that through
15 holes uh for Legion 13 it came down
to one shot and and it ended didn’t end
up being the final shot for Legion 13
but John ROM John ROM’s final putt is
what got him to win because he didn’t
have any idea that Caleb or not Caleb uh
Kieran Vincent spitting the bid on
number one
yeah yeah um that was NE neat event I
feel I mean how do you not feel bad for
Joe basically led the entire time and he
had a what six six and a half foot
around 18 for the win and he he didn’t
put his best stroke on it but I was
really happy although it it meant
nothing I was really happy that the
final stroke he played was about a 10
12f footer that he Jarred uh for bogy to
force Dean to make the short one for par
um I was really happy that that’s the
the last memory he had from the day
because you know he didn’t have his best
day but he didn’t have a terrible day by
any means no not at all and he made that
huge putt on 17th yes huge put you know
and I when I I remember when I heard it
I said this on the postgame show when I
heard that roar I think um Dean was
about to hit his second shot punched out
from the trees yeah I honestly in that
moment thought all right I mean this is
this is over in some ways because
momentum was going towards Sergio’s way
and then Dean had to punch out and he
was probably gonna make a bogey there
you know kind of just everything was
going Sergio’s way honestly till the
second play hole second shot yeah I mean
yes we can talk about that three putt
you know on his 18th hole but that was a
tough putt you know that’s a 75f footer
yeah the the iron shot
was the iron shot he piped the drive the
iron shot wasn’t his best and then you
know he’s trying to lag it up there and
left it six feet and six seven feet yeah
it was tough I don’t think we play any
courses that you would consider easy we
play like Las Vegas country club might
be a little bit technologically extinct
extinct for that level of competition um
because they haven’t played a PJ Tour
event there since it was since I don’t
think so since in the modern era when
the ball’s gone so far but it still
didn’t it was no cupcake for those guys
they had to keep it in play um and then
we play play a bunch of old style
courses that are like you got to control
the golf ball The Grange being one of
them Australia they’re great course it’s
the PJ tour you know they play a few of
them not many um Hong Kong and then we
play yeah Centurion was long and an
absolute Beast um Bedminster was it’s an
it’s Bedminster is a beast US Open yeah
Ma major championship course until they
pulled it away from him yes uh yeah it’s
it’s we played we’ve played a lot of
Great Courses and and mayaa
which valderama Maya COA yeah incredible
golf courses but they’re not easy these
guys make it look easy but it’s not easy
there so many people still feel
threatened suan by live and that’s their
defense mechanism that’s all it is
because I mean I have sat here today and
watched and for two days three days now
watched wall toall coverage of the
masters with a lot of people who I
respect and and the the little petty
talking points and the little the little
you know establishment type uh
overriding agenda so to speak is just
it’s absolutely maddening it’s
absolutely maddening but they they’re
they’re doing their job they’re do
they’re they’re Towing the line for now
because they’re all basically controlled
by by the PGA Tour I think that’s the
one thing that is to me I haven’t I
haven’t watched obviously um because I
just got back but I have kind of
scrolled through the X and and sort of
seen like obviously polarizing opinions
about what’s happening and it’s just I
think the saddest part of it is that
these 13 guys
whether you like it or
not earn the spot to be at the Masters
and I just feel like the least that you
can do is have mutual respect for the
fact that they earn their place at the
Masters and as we always say that like
the Masters is a place where you kind of
just you put all your differences aside
and it’s about Augusta National it’s
about the Masters it’s about the major
championship it’s about the best players
in the world coming together and
competing that’s what it should be about
it shouldn’t be the other story lines
there are so many story lines they could
be talking about that could be so good
rather than oh it’s live and PGA and
it’s like come on I mean enough already
you know one commentator who I know and
I like personally and I used to work
with who last year on the set said um
and no it doesn’t the live guys don’t
count none of those guys can win none of
those guys can contend they they don’t
even play real golf anymore
and Liv guys last year finished second
four second second and fourth and now
all four of the top four are Liv guys
with ROM um yesterday he said the same
exact thing and I’m like I just I have
the last year’s on my phone I’m like how
how do you say that with a straight face
how do you how do you purport to have
any credibility when a large collection
of the best players in the game aren’t
playing the tour that pays your
checkbook or pays your paycheck so you
have to go out of your way to be Petty
and and spiteful toward them I just
don’t get it it’s going to be so fun to
watch when this all when when it all
comes together and all of those all of
those puppets realize oh we didn’t get
our way we um uh we didn’t get our way
and you know there live might not be
that bad after all it’s just going to be
so much fun to watch they’re going to be
crawling you know it’s it’s just and
look I I respect everyone opinion I
think you have every right to not like
it and to like it right it’s it’s you’re
allowed an opinion but at this point
it’s kind of like like I said it Patrick
Reed Phil
Rah um Baba all these guys wanted the
Masters and it’s like suddenly just
because they play on a different tour
they’re like undeserving of being there
whereas if you fast forward to 2018 it
was like Patrick Reed winning the
Masters it was like the most amazing
thing and now they’ve just it’s almost
like taking it away from him you know or
any of our past winners it’s like why
you know why are you doing that it’s
it’s it frustrates me because I I feel
bad in some ways because it’s
like they’ve earned their way to Augusta
National they’ve earned that drive down
Magnolia Lane and it’s like everyone
else is just belittling
their Journey to the Masters it’s like
that is not fair that is not fair at all
you shouldn’t be doing that I mean some
of I’ve I got it on on the side right
now there’s a lot of things that they
bring out that are positive about the
quality of player that are playing the
Masters that happen to be live Golf
League members although they’re on these
shows they’re not live Golf League
members they’re live tour players um
there is no such thing as a live tour
just so they know um
but they say good things about the
player but they always back it up with I
was watching the par three contest today
and the overriding sentiment was man it
just we just don’t get to see him
anymore and I’m sitting there watching
this on ESPN going yeah you can all you
gotta do is channel serve and CW is a
network it’s one of five that’s in every
house in America about twice as many
homes as you’re in it doesn’t take much
effort if you want to see them and
fortunately millions of people around
the around the world watch this on our
various platforms including on the CW in
the states it’s mading and by the way we
have aing we have a live Golf Plus app
and you can watch any shot anytime of
any player that you want all you have to
do a couple of clicks yeah all you have
to do is a couple of clicks and you’re
there you can watch whoever you want to
watch you know there’s a reason why
their ratings are down across the board
there’s a reason why their ratings are
down day after day week after week and
ours are growing uh exponentially in
some cases so yep oh well yeah what can
we do we just we’re just shills we’re
just shills Su we’re just
shills yeah no we’re just yeah we’re
just shills for the for the recreational
League yes the men scramble there’s
three that should be there yeah Taylor
good should be there his accomplished
last period in my opinion Dean berm
should be there Dean burm should be
there based on what he did last week a
far more impressive win that I think
happened by for uh for um o batia in San
Antonio
uh in terms of the strength of field and
also uh Louis usas because it’s just not
the Masters without
him yeah those are my three as well um
yeah it is going to be weird it’s going
to be weird um you know not seeing Lou
there I think he’s played in just about
everyone since 2009 I know he with
through the last couple of years perhaps
because of injury but uh this will be
the first one he’s
not been invited or been in the Masters
yeah you can earn your way in I guess is
what I’m you still get an invitation
they do not have to still get an
invitation that’s right the Masters is
my favorite week of the year I I love
the Masters and uh I always have and I
remember you know my first time going
there in 2018 um as a fluke like I was
not meant to be there and something
happened and I just was thrown to do um
something for Fox Sports Asia
and I remember just I was in awe of
being there so much so that I really was
terrible at my job not that it’s any
different from now Jerry I’m G to get
ahead of
you and deprecate myself before you do
um but it’s certainly one of the the
times of the year that I look forward to
the most I think most golf fans look
forward to the most and um I just hope I
really hope that this week will be about
the Masters it will yeah no it was last
year the the broadcast itself was about
the Masters the commentary and the and
the how do you say in America the uh
narrative was obviously um something
that that’s trying to trying to still
prove a point and I don’t know why have
you seen the pairings I haven’t seen it
have you seen it yeah is it uh is it
neutral is it biased yeah yeah no
they’re fine they they and they were
last year okay was fine and and and CBS
and and sellers shy who’s their producer
did a a pretty good job last year at
being fair with our guys obviously there
was a few they couldn’t avoid like two
seconds and a fourth but um he was
pretty fair and I think the edict is
there this tournament rises above all
the politics and that is what that is
what the Masters committee wants to
emphasizes and and remember their TV
contract is a one-year contract year
after year it’s only been with CBS but
it’s a one-year contract with everybody
who’s on site and has a contract it’s a
one-year contract they hold all the
cards yeah and I look I I super
respectful that they do do that and I
think that’s awesome that they’re doing
that you know in terms of being neutral
and fair and and that’s the way it
should be you know that’s the way it
should be it’s about the best players
and well playing together all right
speaking of uh Miami one of the runners
um for that win last week was our next
guest who is going to be joining us on
our show a 2010 open Champion he’s a
captain of stinger GC he’s one of the
funniest guys on our Tour on our league
he is so funny and he’s one of my
favorite human beings please let him in
Louie
usasan oh yeah he there he is there he
is
hello hello
how are you guys
doing I’m good I’m good um do you like
my shirt first of all you finally
wearing a stinger
GC this is first of all not a fair not a
something tells me that there’s rum or
something in
that no no Jin or brandy yeah I think he
makes it’s a little Brandy and
cook by the way this is not the first
time I’m wearing
stinger bar um that is not a fair
statement there was one event I wore a
stinger hat Stinger
t-shirt and I was I don’t remember it
was it was internationally somewhere
last year yeah yeah no look I got a lot
of love for you guys good good she’s a
she’s a she loves a front runner that’s
all she wears is front runner stuff and
you guys you know you got some you got
uh you got schwarzel playing in the
Masters this week representing Stinger I
saw it on the par three today you you
almost you had a damn good chance at
winning last week and uh and one of your
teammates did so yeah she’s sting her
sting her till next
week yeah for sure yeah where you go
that is not where did you go no no no
you got me there we go there you go
there you are um no I do love the
Stingers they’re they’re awesome they’re
so much fun to be around all right how
about wait how about Dean how about Dean
spraying champagne with his best friends
that he’d known for 24 hours when he
after he walk I know
so he actually gave them a he gave them
tickets the day before I heard I
heard that was awesome yeah apparently I
heard he met them the night
before um and just gave them a whole
bunch of tickets to come and watch
Championship Sunday we were sitting at
dinner we had a big T booked for us all
for Saturday night and we were sitting
at dinner the next thing he’s like um
guys
um just I’m out of I’m out of it I’ll be
back shortly I’m like okay and then M
was his wife like no he gave all these
guys tickets on Instagram and he just
wanted to make sure that they got it I’m
like come on dude but then it was pretty
cool I mean it was so much fun the next
day having those spys I mean they it
make you it felt like we were playing a
tournament in South Africa they were
brilliant I know I was walking with you
guys and they were just every hole
literally every hole oh they were
yelling something in in Africans oh you
don’t want to hear you don’t want to
know most of the things they did but
they but no they were good they were
great do share do share Lou no no no
they were good they were good I don’t
know the oay o that’s more European
football thing I don’t know why the l or
l they were doing but but it was fun it
was it was um it was really fun having
um them and the one like in South Africa
like you
call you
call like where in the US you say sir
and South Africa you say um which
basically means Uncle um but it’s it’s
just it’s like a sir thing and they were
calling me that like I’m like come on
guys I’m not I know I’m old but I’m not
that
old oh that’s brilliant well wait are
you who’s the oldest in your team I’m
the oldest oh you are okay I’m the old
I’m the only one in the 40s so I’m 41
Charles Charles tur 40 this year
Brandon’s a Brandon Dean’s puppies I
don’t know what they are they I think
they’re 35 and
34 yeah I think they’re around there
yeah yeah um but I think you I think you
win in the hair Department though Lou
I’m just GNA put that out there me and
Sh are way ahead of
them
yeah um are you at home right now are
you up in Okala yeah yeah I’m up in
Okala
nice I’m two hours away from you down in
outside
Orlando okay good where do you play
where do you play up there golden oala
goldena Golf and equestrian Club yeah
it’s a great Club I mean it’s it’s fun
good facilities it is if I get in my car
right now it will take me 8 minutes to
get there so it’s so it’s so easy to to
to get there and so whenever I play
social golf I I I don’t really like
driving a long way to play golf so the 8
minutes is perfect yeah no I love it are
you so you’re west of the interstate
then in that horse country area north of
town yeah the side yeah Su golden oala
has I don’t know like eight or nine or
10 replica holes they have 12 and 13 or
uh yeah from a is the 12th and 13th of
Augusta yeah yeah they have a bunch of
up but I think I think the original
holes are actually better holes than
anything on the
course some of the non-replica holes are
some of the better holes yeah yeah no
they good look it’s um The Go I mean we
had some is a little bit of issues with
um with um some stuff with the drainage
on the green they they’re attending to
that right now but there’s 27 holes um I
played the other day the greens were
great um they had the member guest at
the other day and I played straight
after that and the greens are running so
nicely and um actually played with Teddy
Potter he’s from up here and the wizard
yeah yeah the wizard yeah and uh we had
a good game and um it was fun man the
golf course is nice it’s just um Club
the the club is nice the people is
friendly and it’s just a very laidback
and a great Club that’s cool that’s
perfect for you then Louie um exactly
yeah uh now I I know we were walking
down the Fairway and you told me that uh
you are are building a new place on your
wrench and you’re planning on tearing
down probably the one that you’re in
right now yeah it’s a it’s a that so our
new house we’re building is
um 20 fet away from our existing house
so we put up like uh a big
um screening and stuff and um just you
know a little bit of privacy and that
but but it’s fine it’s it’s we we were
going to renovate the house on the farm
but it was built in 74 and and um when
we went into the all the electrical and
stuff it was like okay this is we’re
probably going to be better off just
knocking it down and building something
else um so um yeah we decided on
building and I think what it me April I
think another four months 5 months I
think um we’ll be moving in and then um
my build already t told me once you move
in you should move out because the tear
down is going to really go driv insane
um cuz then they tearing it all down um
and getting everything ready around it
so uh but we’re excited um it’s just
nice that we can stay on the property
and and um do everyday Farm stuff and
chores and things we need to do and um
it actually it’s actually nicer that way
I think if I was staying somewhere else
and drive in and see the house isn’t
isn’t done yet it will drive me insane
um but you can just walk out and go oh
the windows are in yeah you funny funny
enough like some days you like if I’m
here for one or two weeks I don’t really
pay attention of what they doing at the
house and then I’ll drive us oh that’s
new and then like there’s something new
there and then at night me and elry will
walk over and and uh walk inside and
have a look and we’re like oh that’s
pretty cool yeah they finished that they
done that and um but yeah so cool
well you mentioned wait wait wait you
mentioned chores and farm stuff well
Farm chore I mean we got so many
freaking animals here like I’ve got I’ve
got the range goats here which is the
fainting fainting goat which is the
fainting goats but I call them the range
goats so it’s Bubba um it’s still the
old range goats it’s Bubba Taylor um
Harold and um Peters Thomas so um and
Bubba faints the whole time I mean Bubba
you the other day I was in there and and
I um they so it’s they share like sort
of a runin shed with the we have
miniature ponies as well and they share
the same like shed sort of thing so I
was putting hay throwing hay over to
their side and I didn’t realize they
were inside I thought they were outside
in the little
pck and I just heard this like and I
looked over and babba was just like
so like I’m like I’m sorry I didn’t mean
to do that but yeah they they funny it
is very funny it’s very
entertaining oh my goodness I’m sure the
kids have such a great time with the
range goats um have you told Bubba that
you have you told Bubba that you’ve
named them after I’ve not told Bubba
Taylor knows um I Taylor asked me the
other day and I still got to show him
the video cuz uh we at um Ellie and them
were here the other day and and um I
just ran into the one corner or just
went like wow just like in the one
corner and everyone ran around and the
next thing Bubba just decided that’s it
falls over and uh gets up and run I mean
it’s a I don’t know how they I don’t
know why they like that but uh but yeah
it is pretty funny so oh my goodness
what other Critters do you have you have
miniature ponies you have f ponies we
have a miniature donkey that’s with the
ponies then we have a we’ve got one
retired horse that’s with the we have a
normal donkey with him so that he’s not
alone and then um I actually have
Brandon Grace’s hores Brandon Grace’s
horse is with us cuz his wife bought a
horse uh a um a quarter horse and he’s
with us um Brandon is moving to
Nashville so once they have some
somewhere there to board him they will
take him and then we have ponies man oh
ponies we have ponies so many ponies or
not so many ponies but we got how many
do we have four ponies um and then a
horse for my oldest and
then um I have about 24 cattle I have
eight we’ve got eight chickets and which
is great I hate buying eggs um so uh um
and then I have um one of my good
friends is boarding actually uh he’s a
professional jumper and he’s got his
horses on the one side um the of the
Stalls and any e boards yeah so yeah
it’s it’s a it’s a full operation so so
other than other than getting some eggs
is there anything these Critters do
that’s productive that doesn’t other
than eating your
earnings anything that eats while you
sleep is not a good thing so
no um no I mean no the kettle the kettle
now and then I sell I sell some of the
steers and and I get something in but
it’s more to keep me out of trouble and
and um and just uh keep me busy on the
farm and and it’s a it’s a big passion
of mine yeah well speaking of which you
know I spoke to um your manager I think
this was right before you teed off on
Sunday and he said to me that he feels
like you’re in possibly one of the best
places in your life um speaking of your
farm he feels like because you do have
the farm you do have
that place you can escape to and really
turn your mind off golf and be able to
have that work life balance he said I
think now you have a great work life
balance do you feel the same way
yeah I think I think the the biggest
thing always is to find that balance and
a lot of people find it in different
ways um some find it with something they
do outside of golf whether it’s um doing
lots of things the whole time with your
family and things or some guys hunt some
guys fish um some guys do you know all
kind even even if it’s um just social
golf with your buddies I think um the
biggest thing is finding that something
outside of professional golf so that you
can just break away a little bit um you
know we always I always had the farm in
South Africa and the biggest thing that
got me is I could never go back I could
always go back and know only the end of
the year when the season was done and
even then um after FedEx Cup when I was
on the pg2 after fedix cup you would go
back and you would try and spend some
time with everyone in December but it
made a difference difficult cuz the time
you came back in mid January you were so
far behind already on the FedEx Cup and
um so that sort of changed that we
didn’t go back to South Africa that
often um and then um you know when Co
hit um we couldn’t go back to to South
Africa and 2020 I made the call not to
go back um and uh actually came to visit
friends of us in
ended up buying their property their
Farm which is the one we are now um
buying it 2 weeks later cuz it was in
the market I didn’t even know it was in
the market and um visit them love the
farm big oak trees and just completely
different to what we used to in Florida
and um you know went down to Palm Beach
and and um my wife said to me what are
we doing when are we moving I’m like
hold on if we move I mean you know we’re
going to the kids school everything
she’s like I’m ready to go we you know
we both grew up on farms so we both used
to having space and and and that sort of
um life and yeah I mean three four
months later we when the kids finished
school in May we um we moved up and
since then whenever I’m out of golf or
back it felt like s sort of like I was
back in South Africa on my little piece
of property and um to have it in the US
made such a big thing for me like I can
really shut off completely from golf um
funny enough when I came back from uh
what was it what was you see what was
our last event before Miami it was
uh Hong Kong Hong Kong I 8 days later my
clubs were still in the travel cover so
I
I um I booked a round of golf with my
buddies and I I could I looking for my
clubs I’m like oh it’s still in my
travel
C so I had to go get it out and uh you
know get it just get ready for golf so I
I would normally like take quite a bit
of time off but um like we I think are
leaving we leaving next Friday for
Australia um so would probably on Monday
Monday start doing a little bit of golf
stuff I’m uh you know what I’m going to
invite myself now we’re going to get
have our people talk to your people and
we’re going to do as the kids say get
some content I want to come get a tour
of the Critters at your house and we’ll
do all that post I want to be there I
want I just let us let us just move in
and finish this building period no I
don’t care about the house all you guys
have nice houses nobody else has
fainting goats and [ __ ] oh yeah the
fainting goats is awesome they’ll be
here fainting you can come whenever you
want I love it I love it you know I I
speaking of Hong Kong you know I
remember I had the post round interview
with you um I think after your second
round and I noted that you’re playing
some of your best golf and and I think
you said you’ve just been trying to
simplify things you’ve been trying to
keep
things a little lighter I guess
um do you feel like maybe that is the
reason why you are playing so good you
you don’t take your clubs out 8 days
after you’ve landed from Hong
Kong less is more type thing look I’ve
I’ve um I’ve I’ve never been any someone
that would stand on the Range and eat
thousands of golf balls I do like to
play with friends have games I I like
that a lot whenever I need to work on
something I will spend the time and I
would try and spend it with my coach JP
and and SE Island and and and you know
just if I’m working on something need to
see him you know since I had the or
since I had the bit of a scare with the
elbow on the tendons and stuff and
everything that went on um I sort of
gone easy on on eating a lot of golf
balls and whenever I hit whenever I do
hit some golf balls I will try and make
it as productive as possible um to not
eat 70 or 80 or 90 golf balls um but U
but yeah I always try and go back to the
basic things when I when I always swung
my best and and felt like I played my
best and everything on my swing and my
game is around my setup to if I feel
comfortable in my setup position I
normally swing it pretty good um so I
always try and and remember and write
things down and little notes on my phone
and whenever I play good I would I would
write down things of that’s the feeling
I had that sort of what went through my
mind you know a coach can tell you A lot
of times um what sort of what movement
or what you need to do but it it all
comes down what what you think in your
mind or what you want to feel or what
you feel sometimes you think something
completely different but it is the same
thing what your coach means so that sort
of also is a relationship what you have
with your coach like I would always tell
JP tell me where you want where you want
me to be or what position you want me to
be and why just explain to me and then I
will figure out a way to get there by a
movement in my swing or a feeling that I
feel in my swing and we’re normally good
with that and getting to the right spot
um and then it’s just um you know that’s
why like playing rounds of golf and even
playing for 20 bucks against my buddies
cuz you’re always under a little bit of
pressure doing something and you have
different shots the whole time you’re
not just standing on one spot um making
the same swing all the time um so I do
like to put myself in that position
where where I got to hit a different
shot every time what you’re talking
about bags of follow-up question for all
the people watching and listening
because there’s nobody in the world who
knows what they’re talking about who
doesn’t know what they’re talking about
often they’re the same people um who
could find a flaw in your golf swing
what the hell do you work
on now there’s lots of little things
that can creep in my bad yeah but but
it’s it it you know there’s lots like
for instance if I if I start aiming too
straight or sometimes even a little
right of my target I get um I get under
my my back swing I get under the ball
and I come from the inside and then the
more I make that swing I start hurting
my lower back and once I start feeling
my lower back my whole mind goes to a
protective mode where I try different
things and then a lot of times I either
tweak the back or I lose my swing quite
a bit so these little things like that
that I always know I need to be on top
of um I’m I love aiming left standing
open feel like I’m open with my swing
and work from there um I struggled a bit
in in Vegas this year for some reason I
was aiming so shut and then um even even
Hong Kong a little bit I was texting JP
and speaking to him and says we I got to
go back to send me swings of when I
swung my best um you know in 2021 when I
played pretty decent and things just
send me a few videos and every time I
look at the videos I’m like man I’m I’m
standing quite a bit open and and feel
like I’m swinging down the line to the
to the left sort of little bit and um
you know I went back to those things and
uh it just sort of I got my ball
striking back I got my flight on my on
my irons back and um it sort of just
snowballed from there um and just um
trying to keep on top of those things
baffling baffling the prettiest swing at
Olive golf doesn’t actually work
perfectly every time that is amazing to
me
absolutely that’s something that I think
perfect swing in this kind yeah I think
that’s one thing that people who are
watching can kind of have a glimpse of
what it’s like inside your mind and you
know everyone thinks oh Louis has this
like flowy swing and I ask you during
hang time do you ever get sick of of
people asking how smooth your golf swing
is but then you told me there’s a lot
more that happens between the ears for
you and and there’s a lot more you know
that that people don’t see professional
golfers are mental in some way so when
you’re on the golf course there’s
there’s there’s something that that’s
inside here is not working
100% I think it’s the guys it’s the guys
that manage that the best that that
comes up at the top are there are there
any times because you mentioned there
are there are times of the password I’ll
take my medicine and play for second or
third I’m assuming you meant knowing
that’s the best I can do are there any
looking back on those times because
you’re one of what seven people who’ve
had the career the grand slam of
runner-ups and majors are there any any
of those times you look back on and I
don’t I don’t know this is kind of a
qualification of a bad question that
you’re a type of guy who looks back that
often but are there any of those times
you look back and go I wish I you know I
wish I had I wish I had G give I wish I
had tried the impossible just to see the
outcome yeah I think when Rome won the
US Open in 21 I hit myself um I mean I I
made a bogey on 17 I missed a 8ot put
for Paul cuz I hit in the water the
t-shirt in the hazard I had to take a
penalty drop my my bogey so I was I was
uh too behind RAM and so I had to make
Eagle on 18 on the par five but I missed
the Fairway and I was in the first cut
but it was not a great line the first
cut
so if I had my seven wood on my hand I
would have gone for it doesn’t matter if
I felt the LIE wasn’t great whatever but
it was a three-w the only way I can get
there was a high cut 31 I’m looking at
this lie and Tory Pines the last ho 18th
I’m looking at this I’m
like this is this can only go in the
water there’s no other way where I can
eat the only other shot is a hookie
7even wood and running it up on the
right this is basically in a 10 yard Gap
with sloping left towards the water
running it in there so so I was like I
don’t know but it’s I’d rather give
myself a 70 yard shot and maybe I can
hold a lob Wich for Eagle so that was
the one layup that I I did then
eventually but looking back at it I mean
it was one of those where I would have
liked to just drop another ball and see
if I can pull this seven wood off
um but I just afterwards even thinking
of it I’m like you know I don’t think I
could have pulled it off I would have
hit myself in a spot where I had no
chance of of making the or trying to
make the third
shot um yeah that was that was the one
the one that sort of went back in my
mind that that um could have done it but
looking back at it probably couldn’t
have but yeah the the others were most
of the
time other ones were like when you were
in a situation where you were playing
for something you were playing for world
ranking points to get somewhere or you
were playing
for um a good finish to get your card
and there was a lot of times like that
where you would man am I going to go for
this shot um to have a chance of winning
or or um just play it safe on the green
if I make the cut I still if I make the
P I’m I still have a chance or if I’m
two put I’m finishing second um on my
own or tight
second um decent money I’m getting I’m
getting good points and I’m getting good
world ranking points you know so um
there is times I feel where and
especially in the beginning of my career
where where I did do that um just to to
not always be that aggressive and
sometimes it’s a bigger picture than
just this one event do you maybe have
that same similar I guess feeling on our
league with just 13 individual events
and you know top 24 obviously gets you
know gets um next year um and then
obviously then the individual title as
well at the end of the year for a lot of
money do you feel like more pressure to
play well you know with just 13
individual events and having to really
like think about the points that you’re
earning I think you have guys this year
especially because there’s a lot of
contracts I think that’s up this year so
I do think you’ll you’ll get this year
few times where you see guys take the
the safer route to secure some points
and get a good week finish all depends
where they are um
yeah
but you know it depends what you
sometimes we play to win you you can’t
just play for just securing a card or
securing or or having a good check you
you you play to win a golf tournament
that’s what um that’s would drive me I
mean I still want to win golf
tournaments and um I think the the Miami
one that happened this weekend I’m I was
proud of myself like to to take the
shots on and um and uh you know have a
go with it I’m pretty sure my my Cades
would would have liked me to do
something
different um but uh you know it’s um as
long as I’m having fun doing it and just
and go for it I mean if it’s not
something stupid like going through a
tree or something um I think I’ll
probably this stage of my career like I
would I would give it a more shot and to
to see if I can pull those uh those
things off and and see if I can get a
get a win um you know on on live or
something um I love it you uh you’re
captain of stinger
GC um which includes Charles schwarzel
who won our inaugural event uh Brandon
Grace who won the second event in
Portland and Dean burmaster who won last
week uh you know what the question what
are you trying to say you know what the
question
[Laughter]
is and I asked a shitty question I
thought was going to be listen when does
this podcast start when when are we
starting are you are we
[Laughter]
starting Jesus okay somebody had to ask
it somebody has not even a question
listen never mind that I’ve not won I’ve
not won other in a golden Oella Club
competition in the US I’ve not I’ve not
won on us soil so I don’t know what the
hell it is but um I need to get the
freaking win man you uh that will be a
big night I can promise you there I want
to be invited to that night Jerry’s just
Jerry’s just put himself on the [ __ ]
list so he won’t be I’m out I’m
out well we’ll put him with his range
coats put them in that back there a
perfect I I can pass out as good as
[Laughter]
anybody oh this is too good oh well from
from so wait what’s your question now no
there there there wasn’t one it was one
of those reporter there really no
question okay it was a leading question
one of those reporter statements yeah
yeah my pleasure
okay I’m sitting here out of the corner
of my eye I’m watching some of the stuff
from the Masters and and it just as a
golf fan which I am I’m a really old
golf fan who watched golf in black and
white when I was younger um so old that
I actually you’re the second lud vicus
I’ve ever met one of my best friends in
the world uh years ago his son is named
Ludas um okay he’s American by the way
but when I’m watching the Masters you
you have provided so many memories of to
all of us fans in golf and you’re not
there this year um I think you’re one of
three guys who we all consider uh kind
of been snubbed a little bit by the by
The Establishment if you will for not
being there you and your teammate Dean
and Taylor gu obviously um does it hurt
to sit at home this week and not be
there it sucks like it’s a nicest way to
put it um you know it’s it’s like I
would say 2009 was my first event um and
I played it for 15 years and and Chara
was texting me uh Monday night says I
can’t believe I’m going to have a
practice round without you first time in
14 15 years so you know we play I think
we played every part three
together um so I mean look
it I knew I knew the the risks of
joining joining live with World in
regards with world ranking
points um so I knew it was going to
happen I knew the day was going to come
um to be honest with you the the the the
stage I am in my career and life with
the family is said I’m not um and
there’s no disrespect to I’m not really
bothered about the US Open or the PGA
Championship it it’s nothing against the
tournaments it’s great great tournaments
great Majors but I felt like I’ve played
loads of them and was very happy playing
them but um the open and the Masters to
me was always the two that that stood
out um for me and uh you know I’m
fortunate enough to play the the open
till I’m 60 and and um and that’s a
tournament I love but the not playing
the Masters things it’s um it’s a sort
of your mind goes into okay what can I
do to to um
to get there again but I don’t think
there is a way to get there again um you
know one two events end of last year uh
played pretty decent this year um the
only way is if if they provide more
invites um that’s probably the only way
I think any of us on left going to come
in I’m just it’s it’s mindboggling to me
that that
um there’s not more steps being done to
to get you know everyone always talks
about getting the top players um
together and and major events everyone
that’s playing really or decent at the
time and and is top golfers should be
playing in all the
majors I don’t think the we all well I
think most of us think that or knows
that the world ranking isn’t the world
ranking anymore I don’t know what you
want to call it but I think it’s got to
come to a stage
where where major championships should
take control and give spots to each tour
uh whether it’s Asian tour Sunshine tour
australasian tour um European tour PG to
and and give give spots to them
um that end of end of each season you
know live might get 12 spots uh European
tour might get 20 PGA Tour might get get
50 or whatever it might be the numbers
but that way you get each each guys from
from each year that that really played
well in 2023 and you know they’re
playing in 24 and all the majors and you
can still have other qualifications but
the world ranking system is just it’s
it’s laughable it’s
um I mean I I don’t see how any of the
left players in two in a year two or
three
um can get back into any top 50 in the
world I mean right now I don’t even know
where where a guy like DJ is I think I
don’t even know where his world ranking
is at the moment I think he’s way out
there two 218 or something yeah yeah and
the guy’s been what in the top 10 for
how long in his career top 10 15 or
something he still is top 10 player
right yeah yeah so so it’s it’s um it’s
just
and we all it’s nothing to do with the
decision we made we all knew it’s going
to happen but but
surely you cannot tell me that the
strength of fields we have right now on
live um can take on anyone in the world
any T I mean yeah and um it’s it’s it’s
fine for now cuz CU those guys the the
guys that’s playing from live now they
still have the exemptions but what’s
going to happen in the Years time what’s
going to happen in two years time so um
somewhere it’s going to run out where no
one’s going to be eligible unless you w
the major um you’re not going to be
eligible to to play and um something
needs to be done um somehow I don’t know
what they’re going to do um I’m just
thinking of guys like a aner w
Neeman um Caleb Surat the new the new
youngsters jakara you know these are
guys that need they have to play majors
I mean I’ve had my I’ve had my Sy in
majors and and I’m grateful for them and
and I had a
great career with Majors I had my
chances but um it will be sad to see
good young players that plays on love
that don’t have a future playing into m
in majors and um you know you can take
your hat or for AA for giving Wen um an
invite I think no one deserved it more
than him um to play this week um but the
there’s still others that that
um that should be there um so uh
hopefully hopefully the you know all the
boys can come together and find a
solution and um you know at the end of
the day doesn’t matter what tour you
play major championships the best in the
world at that stage um should be playing
can you still win a major if you had
access I think so so um when it comes to
a major my mindset is is is pretty spot
on for the week um always felt like I
had a good sort
of good PR preparation going into a
major um what I would do a week before
and and uh would see my coach a similar
time and would do a few things and um
the biggest thing with with major
championship I always feel is patience
is knowing when to when to do certain
things and and
um you know I think being so long in the
game and and that’s one thing that I’ve
learned
is um never never get down on yourself
and never give up just keep on playing
keep on going it will come and go
through your process and do your thing
and and if you prepare well for it you
know you’ll be you’ll be fine when it
come when you come under pressure and um
when I get to a May I’m excited about
the open this year um I will try my best
to prepare like I used to prepare for
for majors and um you know it’s it’s
it’s exciting to to play play that
tournament but yeah I feel like I can
definitely definitely win another
major yeah I I think one of the young
players to be added on that list was
David pu um I mean he won a couple of
times on the international series he’s
certainly one of the most talented young
players and hopefully we’ll see him at
the majors CU I I do think and he’s
making it I mean the guys are making
efforts to to play in other tournaments
but unfortunately with a world ranking
system um you get no points I mean if
you don’t play basically in a PGA event
um you’re not really going to get points
that that make a different I made that
point I made that point last week on the
air I called it mean that the that the
establishment still has the nerve to to
call the owgr the official world golf
rankings when it is absolutely nothing
more than the PJ Tour rankings because
every every waiting change they’ve had
for the last decade has only favored one
tour and taken away from everybody else
it’s almost impossible to play your way
into the top 50 of the owgr without
being on the PJ tour and from that point
it’s very difficult to play your way out
um yeah it’s it’s almost impossible to
play your way out of the top 50 if
you’re playing the BJ too didn’t you
call it the FedEx Cup uh rankings Jerry
I think that’s what call it one it is
the FedEx Cup rankings it’s pj2 a
rankings it’s a joke um everybody’s
culpable in in the in it right now but
it’s the last piece of Leverage that I
call it the establishment basically it’s
j Monahan um and the four majors have a
seat on that but they’re kind of they’re
always gonna be the ones taking the back
seat and not being the ones at the
Forefront of of adoption and change but
yeah it’s it’s it’s one entity controls
that and I feel bad for Peter Dawson
who’s the chairman of the owgr because
he seems to be completely powerless in
doing the right thing for the game of
golf for the majors themselves um the
majors you know people are going to make
fun of the asterisk I said it long
before Taylor Taylor Taylor G said it
they are asterisk Majors this year in my
opinion if they don’t have their best
fields and they’re not going to have
their best Fields this NE this year and
if it continues down this path like like
Louie just articulated they’re going to
get more and more laughable as time goes
on people can make fun of that all they
want it’s the absolute
truth um Lou can I ask you because like
you said you you’ve played it pretty
much every Master since
2009 um have they reached out to you at
all
um they have but
um do you know this it’s it where
no they they invited me as a guest for
the because of a being a major Champion
as a guest which um I mean which is
great to go as a guest I played it
played it so many times I don’t think I
can just be a guest and stand there and
I think I can go and play the part three
though because I I’m a major champion
and I won the part three actually in
2010 I wanton the part won the 4 three
um I think five and there four five and
there that’s what Ricky I didn’t even
know that state I didn’t even know it
was a jinx so um I won I won that I
think I missed the cut but I won the
open the same year so I’m like no it
wasn’t a jinx if you win it there you
know open yeah no but I was I was reach
out to be a guest and and um it was just
I there was no way of me to just go
there that be tough and just walk around
I would have it would have driven me
insane yeah fair enough um by the way
that photo behind you that looks like
the 16th of the math was that the year
was that the year you had a home in one
no that’s 16 that’s actually me and
duchy there if you can if you
can there that’s me and Dy reading the p
on 16 so I’ve got sh up here actually I
think that sh
there yeah yeah so I’ve got the um this
is sort of all the master stuff I
thought it would be appropriate to sit
to sit here um so yeah but yeah thanks
for bringing that up I just got over
that
um losing the
playoff but thanks for bringing that up
uh so you know a funny story what
happened in Miami so so so Abes um Apes
Caddy’s brother-in-law yeah Benji’s
brother-in-law came up to me and he said
oh actually Benji came up to me he says
Louie I’ve got something I want you to
sign but you’re not going to like it so
I’m like what can what can something be
that you don’t like to sign so it was
the playoff scorecard of 2012 at austa
oh no and me and babba to sign
it and the worst thing is whoever did
the scoring spelled my last name so
wrong it
was so and then I I signed it and and uh
Sun that was Sunday morning we signed it
and walking um Benji just W I walked
past Benji pass the fireballs and he
gave it to me and he asked me before so
I signed it and then Brandon everyone
just looked at Benji like that’s just
wrong Benji I mean come on man come but
yeah it was it’s a I think it’s a pretty
nice thing for his brother-in-law to
have but yeah it was uh BR not so nice
for you to sign it just bring up this
picture it was like o s t e
r h e r the e r everyone always puts
user house like with Peter house they
put house well you know kind of close
what’s funny is I worked with Peter for
a lot of years and lovely lovely man the
legend that he he is and I wish him and
Ruthie the best still to this day um but
he was always convinced you pronounced
your name incorrectly he always thought
it was W ve Vestas oh know it’s West
West yeah West okay otherwise my parents
taught me wrong otherwise so he was
right he was right it’s just the we’ve
Americanized it so much oh yeah yeah
yeah yeah
it’s you you do have one of the I would
say the harder last name to pronounce I
mean if you go Global I me you talk
about traveling around the world and her
name being being I I wanted to ask
because you’ve traveled all around the
world what’s the funniest literally the
funniest pronunciation of your last name
that you’ve ever exp I I mean Wast
an
um was so the funniest one was in China
which was uh it was around 2006 and 7
playing European to and I played with
James
Kingston um and we got to the first hole
and the lady just went into uh like when
she saw this last name she just went
into like quiet it was
Louise that was it and James good and T
off cuz he was laughing so
much and then one of the funniest ones I
had was I played in in Spain and this
was still back in the day I think it was
a challenge to event I played in Spain
and um with Republic of South Africa so
it’s RSA behind our name so I get on the
tea and the guy goes and uh next on the
te from next on the te Lou w in and I’m
like I look at him say from
Russia he he got my name perfect and
then he gets my he gets RSA from
Russia oh that’s awesome yeah oh fun I
gotta tell you a quick sidebar funniest
one I ever heard and he’s a guy who I’m
sure you know and if you do know him you
love him um John mcginness used to play
the tour now he’s a commentator but his
last name isn’t spelled like a normal
mcginness it’s m a i n n s and he was
playing in a Tour event I think he was
playing with Bill glasson for a college
teammate of mine and the first te
announcer said next on the tea John
maginus and I guess nobody
[Laughter]
nobody nobody could hit a shot
yeah and that’s
toin John
vinus oh he’s gonna kill me for let for
sharing that on oh [ __ ] that is so funny
oh my god um now you mentioned the Open
Championship you won obviously in 2010
and um lost in a playoff again in in
2015 at St Andrews what about St Andrews
and why do you play so well
there don’t know I mean obviously love
love the golf course love the whole aura
about s Andrews especially with the Open
Championship we played so many
tournaments there with the Danny lyns um
being European tour so long I mean I
played the every single year done you so
um I think it’s probably the only golf
course that you could well I feel like I
can rock up without a practice run or be
okay you know knowing the golf course
that well but um I don’t know I mean St
and Open Championship St Andrews is just
something special you drive in there the
the whole it’s the whole town that goes
into a Open Championship mode um
wherever you go it’s Open Championship
the streets the um then vagan the you
know the every everything is just the
Open Championship and I mean the
greatest tournament is to me so going
there at the home of golf and just it
sort of just brings that little bit more
out of me and and really want to perform
well and play well and and just make
make yourself
ready for the week um I can’t wait for
it to go back there again and and um you
know it’s it’s um just just such a
special place um we spoke to Cam last
week and and we asked him what was in
that cleric jug what was in your clar
jug after you won in 2010 I actually did
not drink out of it till December that
year what so I had this thing in my mind
which I was very young but I had this
thing in my mind where um it’s too holy
to drink out of it
so that was until I got to my friends
back in South Africa in December and uh
we had Brandy and Coke we put some brand
and Coke in there and um we had a great
night um from here so um but yeah it
took me a good five months before having
anything out of it I didn’t know that
what we learned from cam is it only
holds like what two pints of beer I
thought it would be much much more
productive than that I mean I didn’t
even go into all of that details I just
well I think I think with his I think
with his specific drink it just is the
proportion of Brandy versus Coke that
would determine how good of a knife not
putting in two points of BR in there I a
promise well I don’t know you are South
Africa yeah what was I going to say I
forgot my I forgot my train thought um
did you uh did the the one of the most
viral videos in golf that um that that
everybody just loved was you flying back
after completing the career runnerup
Grand Slam singing rise up lip syncing
rise up on your jet um and then when I
looked that up today because I know uh
will balls our producer Willie balls I
asked him to roll it in because it’s
it’s just phenomenal it’s just it shows
who you are the spirit of Who You Are
which is I’m going to have fun with the
fact that I just did the I just
accomplished the most dubious thing in
professional golf uh from a champion
which is the Finish runner up in all
four majors and then I looked up the one
from the President’s Cup where you’re
singing on the bus to to Bohemian rap
city that was phenomenal by the way how
often do you do that and how often do
you do it and and will you will you say
goodbye tonight with a uh with some kind
of lip sync for
us oh come on that was that was about
the two times I think I did it um I
don’t know it was just a spur of the
moment I don’t know the rise up thing
um Mike KR that carries for um car yeah
he he he text me saying well done on
your Runner UPS in the all majes and um
and the players championship and I was
like oh [ __ ]
I I did I didn’t even I didn’t realize
and then I had my caddy Greg uh Greg her
who was with me in the plane and the
family was with me and they were my
olders were listening to music and then
uh uh this song came up and then I I
like okay play it and I mean I had one
drink it wasn’t like I had seven drinks
or something so um yeah then I just
started lip sinking and uh I didn’t even
know I knew the words at well but I
actually did okay and uh the the the
Australian one um that presents cup I
mean the the spirit the team spirit in
those in our international team was just
it was so good and we had so much fun
from the bus on the bus every day to the
hotel it was like a 30 minute
drive and uh we at aula with beers and
then the M somehow my phone or someone’s
phone get connected Ed the music going
and I don’t know then start singing um
but yeah there was uh it was also just a
it was just a thing on that bus that
that came out and um you know it’s fun
as long as the boys enjoy and I always
want everyone to have a good time and
just relax and not not take it too
serious the high not until we te off
until we teal the high notes
with memorable yeah yeah were very good
and and I think his facial expression
was what really did it for me when he
was doing that it was almost like he had
to
yeah I know where you’re going I know
where you’re going my kids are gonna my
kids are by the way what do I to say to
you you don’t just make the people on
that bus laugh you make everybody laugh
so hard and and me included when I did
hangtime with you in Hong Kong I don’t
think I’ve laughed in any hangtime more
than I did that week with you Hong Kong
it was so much fun
um what would be your go-to karaoke
song I don’t have a karaoke song I told
you it’s always a SP of the moment thing
I promise
you I don’t I don’t do karaoke well what
if I
play I’m so gonna play a song towards
the end of this podcast and see if you
just sing along to it somehow well he
does a what what you don’t know is you
lip syn she actually sings and and I and
I I so don’t like mic you got to sing in
for she sings so well no I do not I do
not Jerry’s spitting [ __ ] he’s trying to
throw me under the bus right now no no
no no no I love me under the bus I’m
okay with that I’m totally comfortable
with that that’s what that’s what I’m
supposed to
do um hey one thing I didn’t get to ask
you during hang time was was um your
wine company Louis
57 um you’re celebrating I think the
15th year anniversary of your company I
didn’t even know you had a wine company
you don’t seem like you remembered it
was your 15th year anniversary oh I
drank all the wine I don’t really know
yeah no it started yeah it started out
2009 we we did a we did a bottle for as
a charity thing to raise some money for
my Foundation
and then
um after the open sort of thought about
bringing out a wine label and and yeah
sort of went from there and um I
actually sold it off a few years back to
um to a good friend and uh and um my
brand manager back in South Africa I
want to say and and um you know so it’s
still it’s still going on I’m just I’m
not that involved like I used to be with
it but um I still drink
it speak you I think you’re one of the
the the only players on our league that
has so many
alcohol companies I mean you also have
magic gin you have craft
Brandy you have a ginger and Cola drink
that’s supposedly used as a mixer and
you have a version with the Vodka coming
soon you’re really just going through
the whole shelf aren’t you I just uh I
love it yeah a few of those things
happened after I sold it um but yeah
being South African um we did do a
brandy as well I was still very involved
with that um and then uh the Jin the the
Gin W as well so you know it’s it’s um
it’s just why 57 by the way why
57 well it was my lowest round
that I shot really so I shot a 57 in
mcle B Golf Club back in 2002 just
um I was Pro
for I was I turned Pro in October and I
shot I think I shot it in December so I
made 11 birdies and two
Eagles um on the club I grew up with and
shot
57 so um sort of took it from the yeah
and then just um made made the brand
around it
I love it well I’m looking forward to
trying uh one of each so um just anytime
you like um just share it man just think
of the party with all the just the Live
players and the alcohol companies that
have their name on it we have f with
Abraham aner you got Le leechman logger
does it does it Taylor have something
going to or he just has the the bull
riding team I thought he had something I
think he just has the no I think he just
has the bull yeah you do leash beer
first then you drink Apes tequila and
then we’re going to ride the
Bulls no but then Grand mcdal gr McDow
has a scotch he’s got whiskey yeah yeah
but that’s for lateer in the night
around the fire you can when you can
take the ice with a scotch
andyy that’s
for okay let’s see let’s let’s try the
let’s try if this will
work come on though I’ll fast forward it
for you
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
steal it Lou come
on ready this is going to get
me oh come
on no no no time and place time and
place come on oh come on Louie that was
disappointing that was that was that was
talking an hour you could realize I’m a
serious person so I I you know I thought
that Brandy and Coke would give you some
kind of liquid confidence but apparently
one wouldn’t do it so um it’s all right
one to do this on on
a um okay well we’re gonna we’re gonna
let you go we’re going to wrap things up
here so that you can go and pour
yourself a second one um and maybe sing
to Rosanna um one thing we do one thing
we do like to ask our guest is um what
what
is the proudest moment of your
career so far
um career or life in general career golf
career both both both I mean it was when
Jana was born my baby girl yeah so that
was there was
something there was something um out of
this world so and I think it for a lot
of people they first one um golf wise it
was clever Jack I mean there’s not much
more that I think winning the clar ja at
the open at St
Andrews um I’m going to struggle to top
that um am my golf career again Green
Jacket
maybe yeah well if you didn’t bring up
the Bubba thing you
know
Bubba hey I didn’t bring it up it was a
photo that’s in the background that I
this morning I shed My Last Tear I
thought okay Lou you’re over it now
we’re done now you’re over it and then
what happens Jo brings it up there we go
well Jerry highlighted that they the
only uh Stinger that hasn’t won so it’s
a double wmy for you yeah no no look
this was a great time talking to you
guys I had the great time I
mean yeah can’t wait to come back oh man
hey before she says goodby come back
before she says goodby

we appreciate you and we love your sense
of humor keep being you and uh we look
forward to seeing you down
under perfect see you there have a good
evening you
too what’s not to love about that guy I
mean for those people who are seeing
this video edited he just had to hang
out with us for an extra 15 minutes
because of the upload speed of this
recording 20 and he he was just having a
great time hanging out I I could have
hung out with him all morning we met his
he met his girl saw his doggy went
inside the house wife poured him a drink
he gave us a tour killed a cockroach
everything was I mean was
perfect we’re about to we’re about to
third whe their date night yes exactly
exactly I mean if you if you don’t like
Louis
usas I don’t ever want to be your friend
period yeah something something going to
be seriously wrong with you yeah I can’t
imagine that he has ever treated
somebody poorly and if if he they if he
has godamn sure they deserve it I I mean
I would love to to sit at a bar with
every one of our guests but I I would
say Louie I would love to have Lou and
cam yourself and myself at a dining
table
um one of the nights uh can you imagine
really you know think there is a a
member of our league who I wouldn’t
enjoy that with but I think with Louie I
would enjoy it the most about the most
because you and I have gotten to know
Taylor quite well and he’s about as
enjoyable as it gets um there’s a bunch
of guys like that a bunch them like that
that’s what I’m saying I don’t think
there’s a guy on our league that I
wouldn’t want to have a drink with but
like right but the South Africans and
the Australians just don’t take
themselves too seriously they don’t I
mean they just don’t and they’re yeah
they’re awesome they’re just awesome
yeah zero [ __ ] given um zero fcks
given as uh people of my generation
would
say your generation would say I don’t
give a [ __ ] Our Generation would say no
[ __ ] given yeah I’m getting the I’m
getting to the age where it’s go [ __ ]
yourself everybody that’s at every age
isn’t it hello who is this yeah go [ __ ]
yourself oh my God okay um all right
let’s wrap the this thing up uh because
I’m soon not able to speak
anymore you’re the only one not having
anything to drink I know I think that’s
the problem um okay let’s let’s wrap it
up by our picks for the Masters this
week it’s my favorite week of the year
um we’re going to wrap it up with our
picks come on let’s go let’s do it all
right I’m going to go first cuz ladies
first oh this is hard this is really
hard but I’m gonna go haen wow that’s a
good guess good pick all of the stuff
that Duncan Cary and champions dad has
sent me has has two guys that should win
from a live standpoint I’m only going to
pick a live player because last well the
top four from last year are Live players
now two two two and four from last year
Live players but it should be either
John ROM or walk nean but I got a
feeling I got a feeling I’m Ben crinch
now I got a feeling uh I got a feeling
Bryson the Shambo oh actually he’s a
great pick he is a great pick the way
he’s hitting his his clubs right now
it’s scary by the way U also on the 4
Aces uh social Channel you need to go
and check it out speaking of Bron DMO
and another player that’s at the Masters
this week uh DJ actually had a go at
Bryson’s driver uh it’s highly
entertaining shun is really fun yeah
it’s great oh wow yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah and then he had some comments which
you’ll have to go and find out yourself
also smash GC uh put out some how funny
was amazing content F was that that was
so funny was that good Brooks Kea and
Taylor G allowing themselves to randomly
be dunked in cold water by Graham McDow
over over and over yeah that was Fant
fantastic but but they’re all clammering
to get back to the PJ tour because
they’re not having any fun playing
live you had to get that in didn’t you

  1. @jerryfoltzgc you should watch The Masters on a different platform. On the streaming app we watched the commentators said nothing negative about LIV or the players.

  2. @louisoosthuizen57 I want to come visit your farm, too with @jerryfoltzgc & @suannheng. We’re not far away in Jacksonville.

  3. I love Louis, I followed him at the Masters in 2017. The man has the best swing in golf. That being said, LIV golf looks like a circus and if these guys want to participate in PGA sanctioned events, then why did they leave? The answer is "they left for the money". That is the truth and unfortunately, the choice was play real golf or take the payoff. I wish it never happened, I miss Louis, Rahm and Cam Smith playing real golf week in , week out.

  4. Probably the best player for the longest time in history not to ever win on US soil if there ever was such a stat. Spent his time in the top 25 for most of 15 years. A solid top 10 finisher but struggling to clean up for the win. I would put that to him enjoying his golf rather than it being a job.

  5. I didn't watch the Masters this year because of the golf channel and PGA tour analyst.. You have no idea how sad that makes me feel! I just can't listen to their crap anymore! So thankful for LIV!!!

  6. Jerry, can you explain to the viewers why Liv decided to format 54 holes and not 72 hole tournaments? And why can’t they just adjust to 72 holes to be more comparable with the standard tournaments and give haters less issues to be critical of. I cannot imagine the players having a problem with playing with 72 hole format especially if it might make it easier to get into the majors which is what they say they want. Is there something we don’t know why Liv won’t go to 72 holes? They seem to have painted themselves into a corner calling their tour LIV (54). Also, the team aspect is great but how does LIv format allow for more players to join from PGA? What if upcoming changes/merger is more beneficial for PGA players to join LiV and 8 name players want to join, how does that happen? Anyway I hope when the changes occur, LiV overhauls their format to 72 holes and allow for more players/teams.
