similar to the drivers on the fairways
we have three models in the rescues
starting with the max the standard and
of course the tour one of the big
benefits of the qi1 line and the rescues
is that we have three unique shapes and
also some different functionality across
the three shapes as well so with the max
obviously we’re going to go for that
higher launch higher spin most forgiving
possible rescue design that we have so
with the qi1 max it’s a little bit more
of a setup similar to like a small
Fairway Wood it kind of gives that
woodlike kind of feel you know
throughout the past several years
rescues hybrids this whole category it
kind of when you’re designing one sort
of the engineers and the design team we
say okay do we want this to kind of look
and feel more like a fairywood or do we
want it to look and feel more like an
iron so with this new qi1 Rescue line we
kind of have a mix of everything the max
is going to be more towards that
woodlike kind of shaping it’s a little
bit larger sets up very easy inspires a
lot of confidence behind the ball again
similar to the drivers in the fairways
we also have that Topline feature as
well this darker head obviously looks
very clean very beautiful but we didn’t
want to just ignore the fact that
players really like to align the ball as
well so this party line feature at the
top really helps with alignment and
again speaking of the face we also have
that twist face as well something else
brought in from the driver and the fway
woods this is really going to help with
that offc Center hit and that corrective
spin if you do M hit it so we’re really
excited about the qi1 max rescue when we
get into the standard you know this is
something that’s going to be that blend
of both you know the distance it’s not
going to spin too much more of a
moderate spin moderate launch for that
player this is something where that
player is going to use it both off the
Fairway and potentially even off the T
boox so a little bit deeper face to
allow for that type of performance and
then we have the qi1 tour rescue much
much different much more of an iron type
of performance we’re actually changing
the materials as well we don’t have that
carbon in the crown here we actually are
uh staying with steel a lot of that has
actually raised the center of gravity we
want this to perform more like an iron
so it’s deeper face so it’s more of a
lower launch and higher spin that’s
going to allow for a little bit more
workability that the better player likes
to see we also have the adjustability in
the tour so you can adjust the Loft so
you can help flight your trajectories or
even just set your face angle how you
like it a lot of the better players with
rescues they might want to see it a
little bit more open so they can
decrease the Loft to open up the face so
we have a lot of adjustability with the
tour so we’re really excited that we
have the spacing here and that’s one of
the things that you know when you’re
designing rescues or or any woods for
that matter and you have three models or
four models you can start to get them
very clustered together we wanted to
make sure that this new qi1 line of
rescues that they’re really uh separated
for for customers so when Fitters are
you know working with their customer
customers they’re really going to see
some departure between the three head
models instead of having that tight
grouping where they’re maybe having some
performance overlaps we’re really
eliminating that for this year so this
is really going to help segment for
golfers where they need to be for their
performance needs so we’re really
excited for fitters to really dial in
what their customer needs for this for
this line of clubs so again we really
didn’t need to tweak all that much you
know the the stealth line of rescues in
the tour model they’ve performed
extremely well the the looks everything
has been very good with that we have
optimized the face a little bit more
it’s a touch deeper and so if it is a
little bit deeper the center of gravity
is a little bit higher so we’re going to
notice a little bit more control on this
year’s tour rescue and so that’s been
the big benefit the other thing is sound
you know when we were developing these
clubs one of the big things for golfers
is you know they’re used to the the loud
or the the speed or the strong sound of
drivers and woods but when it starts to
get into the rescues you’re inching that
much closer to irons and so there’s more
an issue of feel and you know especially
for the tour rescue we wanted it to
sound very clean we you know more of a
bright sound but very short and clean
and so we feel that the Acoustics of
this alone has really been a big
Improvement for us as well so we’re
really excited for the tour rescue
that’s really going to help play the
part for that player that better player
that stronger player that really wants
that iron-like performance but just a
little bit easier to hit especially off
the te as well instead of using three
iron or a long utility iron as well if
they want to get into a rescue based
head this is the one to go for so
essentially comes down to shaping and
the QI 10 Max rescue that’s going to be
the one that fits the bill you know the
shallower face that’s really going to
help that scooping effect be able to get
underneath that ball on those tight lies
so we really um concerned that we wanted
to drop the the face profile the depth
of that face a little bit more shallow
and also extend it a little bit longer
from Heel To Toe so one we have the
stability story because of the qi1 Max
and the new waiting that we have in the
head making it more stable but we also
know that that player also needs that
little bit higher launch and that higher
Spin and that’s going to result from
where we place the weight almost 42 G of
weight in the rear of the club head
that’s really going to help that launch
and trajectory for that player so we’re
most excited for players to experience a
q 10 Max rescues because they’re really
going to understand that these really
are the next level of forgiveness and
it’s really going to help benefit them
the most possible so for me I think it’s
the the standard qi1 rescue you know
talking about a blend of both
forgiveness and distance we’ve really
nailed it here similar to the qi1 max
where we’re dropping almost 42 G of
weight in the back we’re actually kind
of doing it the opposite here with the
qi1 standard a lot of that heavyweight
that’s internal is actually moved
forward but it’s still in a relatively
moderate sized head shape so we get the
stability the higher Moi from the head
shape but we’re controlling the spin and
that’s because the weight and the CG is
also projected more forward so this
really I’m most excited about because it
it’s that perfect balance of easy to hit
but also still goes relatively far given
that this is more of a you know
forgiving based rescue having that spin
controlled for that better player or
even the moderate you know mid- handicap
player they’re going to see a lot of
Versatility for this they’re going to
like this off the Fairway out of the
rough and even off the te so I’m most
excited for the versatility of the
standard qi1 rescue
