Scotty sheer had the lead when the final
round of the Masters began by the time
the sun set on the 88th Masters that
lead had grown he feels inevitable at
the moment after winning beill the
Players he’s won the Masters been a
pretty good month on the golf course for
the world number one he wears the Green
Jacket once again alongside Andy North
I’m Scott Vel Andy lets go through his
and the day of those that were in
Pursuit and this is just not a guy that
you’re going to catch at the moment the
way he is playing Sheffer was one clear
of the field but ludvig oberg this first
time major participant Andy has
demonstrated that he’s got the goods and
he surely belongs this is a long birdie
putt to the ninth hole that got him tied
for the lead at that point in time at
about the same time Scotty was getting
ready to Birdie the eigh hole bro I was
trying to eat the sandwi I I need the
sandwich meanwhile Sheffer got off to a
bit of a rocky start did not look great
but then he birdies at and what a shot
here on this is beautifully played so
smart throw it up into that Ridge let
the gravity take it back down the hill
almost goes in tap in birdie and at this
point in time the rest of the guys when
they heard this cheer they knew they’re
in trouble you know who’s on that hole
and you know what that Roar is this from
kalura who’s right there in the mix got
to be precise and that’s about a foot
shy have being excellent double bogey
with Scotty’s birdie three shot swing
and he was done and that really shook up
where things stood on this leaderboard
but on the second nine you never know
meanwhile maxom who was brilliant te to
Green all week just couldn’t make the
putts he needed going to be able to make
a short one here yeah great iron shot in
10 did exactly what he wanted to do
finished 45th in putting for the week
just couldn’t get it to go in oberg
makes the birdie on nine chefler anwers
hom stuffs went in on 10 Sheffer answers
Birdie on eight Birdie on nine Birdie on
10 yeah and just rolling and here’s the
11th hole we see this Tournament being
won or lost on 11 and 12 so many times
was this a rookie mistake was it just
being over aggressive but unfortunately
just a bit too far left into the water
double bogey his chances basically
washed away o Berg drops two there we
saw players long all week on 12 a lot of
times you hit the pine STW to roll back
down hom oh no lucky into that from
there that led to double b game
basically he’s gone but oberg wasn’t
going to go away he was at least going
to try to apply pressure 14 that whole
location you’ve got to be precise and he
is take it a little bit left of the hole
use the slope rolls down to about three
or 4 feet Taps that one in and he’s the
Challenger at this point to Scotty
sheffler did I mention that Scotty had
the answer for everything three-wood
wedge
and to be able to throw it up there this
hole played so difficult early in the
week cuz the wind was blowing so hard
now the players know that if they landed
into that slope it’s going to come right
down next to the hole if he can hit in
there close to three or four feet I can
do better the best player in the world
Tia green demonstrating it over and over
again didn’t make a ton of long putts
when you knock it to a foot you don’t
have many long putts but just for good
measure on 16 to bury one and give a tip
of the captive ear on the way out
another beautiful iron shot below the
hole well done finished third in total
putts for the week and as the players
have talked all year long if Scotty
sefler putts well it’s over he got to 18
bogey means he would have finished a 10
under and made your a winner and score
exactly right but he says have some Andy
North I’m Scotty sheffler I’m 11 under
Ted Scott now on the back for four
Masters wins two with Bubba two with
Scotty and the world number one comes a
very short favorite and he stands taller
than anyone in the game at the moment he
has the jacket slipped on by John ROM
and he is in some rare rare Air at the
moment the game the
composure the entirety of who this guy
is it’s a whole lot to try to chase down
no one could this week salute to oberg
Tommy Fleetwood was brilliant hom was
great Colin morow had a wonderful week
it’s been a rough start to his season
those are the men that finished one two
and tied for third when it was all done
Scotty taking inventory on his second
Green
Jacket I I will go home soak in this
victory tonight um will definitely enjoy
the birth of my first child but with
that being said um you know I still I
still love competing um my priorities
will change here very soon you know my
my son or daughter will now be the main
priority along with my wife um so golf
will now be you know probably fourth in
line um
but I I still love competing um I don’t
plan on taking my off the ball anytime
soon that’s for sure the first for
Sheffer is is God he said he does all
this glory to God and uh he’s playing
like a golfing God if you will and
obviously his family right there behind
then golf in terms of his golf at the
moment Andy what most impresses you
about Scotty sheffler well we talk all
the time about he’s such a great ball
Striker he’s number one in green hitting
regulation on tour he’s number one in
shots gain T to Green all that I think
the most important thing about Scotty
Sheffer he knows who he is and he owns
it and that’s who he is and he never
changes and I think that’s why he’s so
strong it’s interesting it’s just a
total lack of being impressed with any
of this and and when I I knew when he
came into the butler cabin Thursday I
said I’m not even going to ask you about
Sunday because he’s going to be present
in that moment and I think that’s
instructive for all of us but it seems
incredibly difficult to maintain that
perspective I don’t think that that will
happen to this man well I think the
biggest thing with he’s not involved in
social media he didn’t have a real phone
until a year ago he had a flip phone
until a year or so ago and the only
reason has it now is so you can look at
the scores so I I love the fact how he
goes about his business I think the big
question we need to know will the baby’s
room be blue pink or maybe a little
green uh maybe a little bit of maybe a
little green to go with whatever other
color but I think this is a conversation
we had off air a lot of times players
reach a point where they think they need
to try to get better they search for
something this guy’s not searching for
anything cuz who he is and what he is is
better than anyone in the world at the
moment Scotty Sheffer the Masters
champion in the 88th Edition
2024 Andy North Scott FF so great to be
with you all week long from the Masters

  1. I won one million dollars thanks to this tournament. Scheffler, Aberg, DeChambeau, Fleetwood, Kirk, and McCarthy, a lineup I'll never forget
I'm going to hire a lawyer to see if I can get around paying the 26% tax that DraftKings is going to place on my winnings. Need to keep as much as possible

  2. The potential phone call from his wife was his main competitor. I wonder up to what stage he would have left to go to the hospital.

  3. Would have been nice if it was a bit closer. the back 9 there was really no contest. Scottie had it all the way

  4. I guess the 4th Commandment does not fit into professional sports, be it golf, baseball, football, basketball, hockey etc!

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates"

How does one glorify God when they openly before millions break the Sabbath of the Lord!

  5. Was going for bryson but how can anyone dislike Scotty. Dude is on his way to becoming a legend

  6. The clowns at the Golf Channel/ NBC Sports were actually saying Scottie Scheffler had the Yips. If Scottie Scheffler has the Yips I hope it is contagious.

  7. I love SVP but he drove me crazy all week with “The Butler Cabin”! Nobody has ever gone to The Walmart. Butler Cabin will do

  8. Nobody in this lifetime is close to catching Tiger or Jack. Fun to watch though.

  9. SVP is the Man as usual. And it was great to see Laura Rutledge added to the team this year. I also look forward to Marty Smith's "Fore Please! Now Driving" segments every year. Great coverage this year!

  10. I don't get it, you win the Masters and only scream one time. I'd be running around the green slapping hands and jumping around. This whole thing with little celebrations that golf has is dumb. And Home cost me a lot of money…LOL
