I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my channel where you can learn how to play the best golf of your life. Whether you are an expert golfer looking for a quick swing tune-up or a beginner looking to play better. I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.

My mission as your swing coach is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.

My goal for you is to have the most fun of your life playing golf. You’ll be hitting farther, straighter, and playing better golf by watching these videos. What are you waiting for, let’s get started!

but as I shift into this side it keeps
my right leg locked and when this leg
stays flexed the longer it stays flexed
oh my goodness these hips these Hips
Don’t Lie Shakira said that they don’t
lie they’re not
turning so I start doing this little
sway
dance this leg locks my hips don’t turn
I can’t swing back far I’m kind of
limited to this all arm swing so I see
this all the time most golfers will
break their arms down and then they’ll
chop into the ball so that’s like almost
every golfer I see has an issue with
either swaying they’re not getting
enough turn their arms are breaking
down you’re not getting enough power you
name it it’s all coming back to this you
start with a shift and it’s going to end
in pain

  1. There are many golf videos dispensing advice on YouTube, but yours (Saguto) has consistently been the most effective. Swinging in a circle and keeping weight on the front leg have certainly paid dividends for me. Many thanks, kind sir!

  2. Funny coincidence to see you post a video on this specific topic because yesterday I took my first lesson with one of the pros at my home golf club, and this is precisely what he changed with me. He watched me take some swings and he said he basically liked everything about my swing from my wrist angles to my takeaway, club path, all of it, but rather than my shifting onto my right heel, he got me into more of a coiling and uncoiling motion. Basically winding up onto my trail heel, unwinding onto my lead foot, letting my arms kind of naturally fall into place. Felt SO weird at first but I kid you not by the end of my one hour lesson, I was hitting my 6 iron 210 yards. For reference, before the lesson, I’d be happy to get my 6 iron to the 150-160 yard range with my old swing motion. So much more power, I was actually compressing the ball for the first time in my life. I didn’t want the lesson to stop, you can probably tell I’m still pumped about it 😂

  3. I’m a reborn golfer without a weight shift…it’s like a new game that I knew I could play but listened to traditional instruction way too long…then I stumbled upon Tom’s channel…Now I’m a Born Again Golfer..a brand new man and loving it.

  4. You are so Right!!! I took a lesson Tom 2 years ago and that’s Exactly what this “Professional Golf Instructor “ told me to do. They don’t want any body to know how to shift their weight properly or throw in some Lag in your down swing. Thank God we have you and that you teach properly and show us

  5. Always good to watch you! So relevant each time. Finally you’re not far to Mike Austin’s concept … Am I wrong? That being said, a slight flexion of the trail leg doesn’t seem to lock the hips according to my humble opinion, it’s just it can’t work with the general motion of the body when you play S&T and could physiologically hurt the joints of hip, knee and ankle. So yes, straight trail leg at BS releases joint stress! Well done !

  6. For my vacation , I'm coming to your club for a live lesson. My sway/ shift got so bad, I tore
my MCL. After a year of not golf, your vids have helped me get my form back. Keep up the good work.

  7. I don’t get it. Scotti Scheffler was talking about his swing. He stated it felt like (a feel to him) built up ‘pressure’ to his right side. Trail leg. Which he then unloads on the downswing. I also put this comment on the longer form video. But noticed this post was more currentz

  8. I believe that your methodology is good for all but the long irons. But in these days of the hybrid you may be on to something.
