he guys welcome back today we’re going
to try the new chies they are the Y wrap
uh grips you get 13 in a pack get all
the little Geer things that you need
with it the solvent the little knife to
take your old ones off the last one was
a bit of a hit to be fair so we thought
we try the latest the greatest the brand
new ones the 13 GS right so we’re just
going to open open them up now let’s see
what we get inside little
review that’s satisfying
straight
so you get a little step by step
instruction get your solent you get your
you get your um hook blade 13 grip tap
that’s everything you’ll need
there oh there they look unreal as well
they like the proper old fashioned wraps
aren’t they yeah these are the standards
you can get these in midsize as well but
they’re the standard sizes those but the
standards are actually the quite the
thicker than usual aren’t they thicker
at the bottom so at the top they’re the
same as a standard grip but they stay
thicker all the way down so at the
bottom is the similar to a midsize but
up here standard they’re just an in
between nice they feel they feel good
obviously the last ones we us and the
boys we’ve only ever used these ones so
what we’re going to do we’re going to
we’re going to get them regripped all of
my clubs that’s what I’m using this year
these grips we’re going to get them all
regripped and we’ll see you over at the
loft where we’re going to just talk
about the appearance the actual feel
when they’re on the
clubing right we’re back we’re at the
Loft our favorite place right so check
these grips out kid Zach has kindly
fitted them for us the champ K rrap wise
I think they’re the new am I right zachi
saying they’re they’re quite new yeah
they’re the newest ones though newest
ones they offer um just purely based on
so I I started with a midsize grip and
when I had a midsize grip I felt like
they were too chunky for my hands but
then when I picked up a standard grip
felt like it was too thin now these are
actually thicker at the bottom as Zach’s
previously explained the’re thicker at
the bottom um and still standard at the
top so it gives you more it’s like a bit
of a hybrid in it between the two Z do
you want to just show us what we’ve got
there so that’s that’s the Golf Pride so
this is the current T velvet a by the
way this is the current s velvet grip so
this is the wire wrap around from them
so as you can see they’re very very
similar in appearance but you can see at
the bottom there where the champ key is
a little bit thicker so for your bottom
hand it just feels a little bit nicer
it’s kind of in between a midsize and a
standard these tall velvet you can feel
them a little bit stickier than the
champ key yeah they’re a tackier so
they’re a bit tackier so you’ll probably
you know if you’re playing in a lot of
rain if you’re playing a lot of like you
know winter golf you’re probably better
off looking at something a bit more
premium with a bit more tack but if you
like us fair weather golfers these for
the price they’re about a quarter of
these are about a quarter of the price
of these so I think we pay 37 quid for a
pack of 13 full sell everything like
that and you’ve got a spare in there
they uh I think they’re around 14 quid
of grip something like that 12 quid a
grip um so yeah it depends obviously I’m
not going to stand there and say they’re
better than them cuz they’re not look we
don’t usually we buy used clubs as well
so our clubs are like he paid like 250
quid something like that if he wanted to
regrip his entire set of irons the set
of golf price he probably going to be
looking at 150 quid yeah maybe not maybe
120 something like that whereas for 30
OD quits doesn’t matter if you get a new
pair of grips every year you know that
you can do it five six times over like I
said the quality of these is still you
can still feel the quality of the go
golf Prides are they’re the best ones
for a reason they’re still the best on
the market and there’s a reason people
use them but for a budget alternative
that you can pick up and have delivered
next day to R from Amazon I can’t knock
them well we hope we’ve answered any
questions if you do do have any more
drop in the comments down below Zach
thanks for the regrip again and we’ll
see you soon
