I had almost the exact same experience as Uli with extreme spice! I had red pepper flakes as a 2 year old which gave me a headstart, but every wing place or hot sauce shop I always tried the hottest stuff (I've had lil nitro & the one chip challenge). It was most likely some type of pure capsaicin. I had the same hiccup thing for years after with normal spice and especially soda!
