The PGA TOUR heads back to Houston this week for the Texas Children’s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course where Tony Finau returns to defend his title. The American has been inconsistent in 2024 but he’s still recorded a T6 among three top-20s in his last six starts. He also holds a course-record-tying 62 from the second round in 2022. FedExCup and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to action after his dramatic win at THE PLAYERS Championship two weeks ago. Scheffler has won two events in a row this season on the PGA TOUR (Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard prior to his triumph at TPC Sawgrass) and has not finished outside the top 20 in any event this season. He’s looking to become the first golfer to win three-straight events on the PGA TOUR since 2017. Wyndham Clark will also be teeing it up in Texas. The only golfer who has beaten him in his last two starts is the current World No. 1. Clark also won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier in 2024 and claimed 16th at Memorial Park in 2022. Others to look out for are Jason Day, Will Zalatoris and Valspar Championship winner Peter Malnati.

All right grick heigo the South African it’s just a moment ago the par 4 the stop pulling out for the second time today and that pulls him to within four of the lead this is James Han hitting his third as 16 got to be precise on this one this

Was a moment ago and that one goes in come on now they’re going in from everywhere oh my after being bunkered off the team Dunlap splashed out to this position downhill ey will force his hand to take this lower oh yeah low some spin over eight years between victories for alight done

La like a nice aggressive pass at it through the rough and a beauty perfectly ho high he’s going to take advantage this is 621 he’s he’s right on the doorstep and two not only his head long way has brilliant touch he was bogey free today went out in 32 Aaron

Ry for birdie at two okay it’s not that odd from that side of the green come on that’s not really wanted you to see Steven joerger here he is tied for fourth this is Chad rayy oh we can’t find can’t well can’t find Ste find Ste jger eventually works very hard in his

Distance from the golf ball and then from there sweeps the prettiest draws of targets all day long well is worth the weight and either toasty Remy or Jagger will have that left for birdie now the par five easiest hole the first couple of days 62 birdies in round one 81 birdies given up

Yesterday Damon it’s played downwind the last two days so a lot of players able to get home and two on this par five one of the reasons why it’s playing so easy have that left for Eagle for oay baa let’s go back out to three all right Taylor Moore with his

Second coming off his best finish of the Season T12 with the Val Spar which he won year ago oh man he doesn’t miss very often terrific second shot there more than 50% of the players inside the top 10 at this point every year since 2009 have gone on to

Finish inside the top 10 after the regular season as Scotty takes care of his business there keeps a little bit closer the same kind of numbers players raving about the conditions this week here’s dietr that’s impressive quite a bit of spin on there I think you try to use the front left

Part of this green and just take that right kick this is aggressive I don’t think this has a chance to get on the green oh it did and took the slow that is dangerous and aggressive I love it maybe even throw it just past the hole and spin it back

Oh yeah how about that bounce back after the bogey at four batia has an excellent look to get back to 7 under grer here at the sixth a rookie having a really good week getting better he keeps pouring in putts like that man Max will take those all day long

Par fors played the hardest hole over the first couple of days here’s Dunlap Second he is having a beautiful round he’s puted much better since he’s gone to this Mallet style putter bang with some authority too maybe that’ll wake Scotty up as he gets to six under par within two of the Lead he’s worked hard on in that part of his game Josh Gregory helping him with that stuff and it’s uh it’s paid [Applause] off only 205 yds from the hole oh hang on stay there ooo that slope on the left at 16 Dunlap to eight under

Par kid just continues to impress I mean he’s got the round of the day going out there right now he’s seven under on is Round I mean he’s so good at these shots around the green he’s probably a little disappointed with that one surrounding that water around the green Scotty sheffler and he does make his birdie a little bit of help from that left Edge but it goes down for [Applause] him miss an iron on the

Way needs to get down it looks like oh it did I have high expectations for him Kurt yeah it got down he is pass the hall Thomas diet’s in the Fairway eight perfect Drive 271 front helping win he should be able to get it there

Trying to get it to turn over it’s at the right edge of the green you just got to hope it doesn’t run through that right side there’s some slope right here that should keep it going left yeah this is turning out great Chad Ramy who just missed through

The Fairway on the other side of that hump that’s why he had such a tough third shot to 10 o btia it’s tie for the lead out it three tied at the top as batia goes back to back on nine and 10 again down off the at the wind oh

Yeah how many times do you see it eyes going up and down up and down the flag stick yeah just 170 Dan and Randon you can’t see the green surface here so that’s the only tricky thing about this shot is just trusting the first bouns this guy doesn’t take any time

Does he getes right after it why would you when you do that more swing well it’s way up in the air and I like it uh yeah no surprise that’s been the show for about two years now as we send you down to Damon hack Aaron Ry second shot toughest

Hole of the week 14 right where you’d expect to see this man leads the PGA tour in driving accuracy coming off Bird’s Brown at 12 and 13 beautiful absolutely beautiful golf shot putting all the way across the green didn’t grab that shoulder on the second shot but he was working on it the

Entire way up to the green kind of doing a circle the shoulder and he just poops it that’ll make it feel better well this hole is very exciting today only 121 yards it’s like hitting up a mini volcano whole location on the front right if you miss it either side you’re

In trouble you almost hold that yeah had a birdie at 13 looks like he’s going to make another one at 15 that was close to an ace yeah this looks nice St and will it stay watch out this one needs to look out too that’s going to get all the

Momentum can you believe it will the rough save it no it does not so Ry gets saved and Chef does not missed it left in the water here yesterday same shot well not today brandle no this one’s looking great w just clears and beautiful shot

So hard to do you know hit a high cut off a hook line out of the rough trying to erase that double bogey I got this ball out on the right he could have gone to school on those putts he saw before fourth closest shot in two on 16 today

And sheffler gave it a really good run so that is precise Mr bounceback doing his thing after a bogy and then a double now joerger this is a seven iron guys this was 30 y yards closer on a great line I mean just a bomb off the T

Brandle tell you what it’s been really fun to watch that guy Tony after the 62 yesterday has waited for just something to ignite his round and it might just give him the launching pad to head into tomorrow he gets within two after this really horrific day driving it down there you see how

Close he was standing to that ball wow just spacular Scotty shuffler two great iron shot it you talked about that noise that Roar Brad it’s only his 26th putt right here and that is his eighth birdie of the day Scotty shuffler is now at nine under par thanks for watching the PGA

  4. I think it would be foolish to bet against Scottie to win tomorrow but can you imagine if David freakin Skinns or Stephen Jaeger in the final group with Scottie were able to top him?

  5. Is it really that hard to show shots in the order in which they are played? One minute Scheffler is shown on hole #5 (not his shot being shown) but the next shot being shown, he is on hole #3. Happens later, that on the scoreboard he is on 7, but the next highlight, he is hitting on 3. Sloppy. Still appreciate the highlights though.

  6. Ok who ever was the commentator that made those 2 bad calls on approaches to the green should get off the air he knows nothing about golf

  7. Scottie doesn’t know, Scottie doesn’t know.. Scottie doesn’t know!!! Don’t tell Scottie, Scottie doesn’t know, Scottie doesn’t know, Scottie doesn’t know!

  8. big fan of the PGA tour but cant help but feel like this field is severely lacking star power outside of Scotty an Finau.
