You want to get your hands on the club in a position you can leverage the club up and down as well as twist the shaft. You also want the bond to be secure between your hands and grip without a lot of tension. Take your time to get it into a position that this can be done.

So let’s talk about placing your hands on the golf club couple ways of placing your lead hand on there first one is the lines the scoring lines or the Leading Edge I’m going to put it parallel to my body lines or the direction I’m facing from there I’m going to place the grip

Just slightly behind my rear and I’m going to let it rest into my fingers now my fingers are going to be curled if I put my club on my shoulder and just curled my fingers around the grip I’m trying to make something that’s very similar shape to that grip so when it’s

Resting behind me I have my forearm in the back of my hand pretty parallel to each other I’m not setting a Big Bend as I’m doing that just feeling okay the weight of the club is resting in those fingers from that position I can go

Ahead and close the Palm on top of the grip and I can even bring it up in front of me just by pushing down on the heel pad to get that club head to bounce upwards so as I’m doing that it bounces up and down when it falls down it’s hitting

That heel pad as a stop as well then I can place my left hand thumb print just slightly to the right side of the grip right hand I like to place it on with it up in front of me from that position if I made a little matching curl with the middle

Two fingers of my right hand that’s going to go right underneath the grip almost like I’m pulling a bow and arrow back and forth then from there if I close my palm around the grip the heel pad is going to come to rest on top of that lead thumb so there’s the lead

Thumb as I take this and close it around there’s a Lifeline if I put my thumb to my pinky finger creates a crease right there I’m trying to get that crease right on top of the thumb other checkpoints would be can I take my right thumb my trail hand and

Touch it to my pointer finger so there’s actually a little bit of a space there and these two Knuckles or this bone is lined up parallel to the side of the shaft so there would be my checkpoints and then if I look underneath at my pinky it’s just resting on top of the

Crease in between the left hand pointer finger and the middle finger so if I was going to do that one more time the toe of the club is by the toe of my feet the scoring lines are facing the direction I’m looking I can feel the

Grip maybe I’m pushing it down a little bit with that thumb of my left hand I can feel the grip setting into the knuckles then then once I get that feel I’m going to close my palm on top of the grip and I can push down to get the club

To bounce once or twice and I can swing it up in front of me take that lead hand where it’s already kind of set into the position where the middle two fingers have that little hook there’s a little bit of space between the pinky and the

Index finger and I can touch that index finger with my thumb it’s almost already set in that position as it can go on and then marry them up left hand to right hand now other ways of doing that is you can hold the club up in front of you

Looking at the Leading Edge or the scoring lines placing the fingers underneath just how we felt when it was down to our side and then can I close the heel pad on top of the club maybe I just let it fall let it bounce once or

Twice get my left thumb print set on there then the right hand once that’s holding the club it’s already in a position where it’s more on the side if I open my palm up it’s facing to the Target can I slide the hands down and then from that point I’m already

Starting to create that little space between the index finger and the middle finger where I can touch it with the thumb and I can slide down the middle two fingers to marry up with the left hand so we got all Knuckles all six of these Knuckles lined up and pretty tight

To each other the pinky can go on top and then the pointer finger the index finger and thumb can go ahead and secure as that Palm wraps around the last one you could do is you can start with the club face slightly tilted down to the ground the lead

Arm and back of the hand is neutral down to the ground there I set my curl like I’m holding a little briefcase matching the grip can I now close the heel pad down on top of the grip swing the club out now it’s up in front of me can I

Take the right hand slide it down marry it up so three options I’m sure there’s plenty more but give them a try see which ones works best for you
