Hello there and welcome back to the channel today we’re looking at some of our favorite players ions on the market now they’re not for everybody I completely uh agree with that but they’re not not as unforgiving as you may may think certainly over the last
Sort of four or five years these kind of players ions have become a little bit more forgiving even though they are tending to be kind of solid uh either milled or forged um or even cast uh steel products we can get some forgiveness out of some of these players
Irons and some of these kind of sleeker thinner looking Golf Club certainly I’ve noticed the ions that I use over the last few years have become that little bit easier to use in this kind of category so we’re going to run through a few that we’ve absolutely loved testing
Ones that we’ve really loved the performance of over the past 12 months and some new ones to the market for 2024 so we’re going to start with shrick on okay so this is an iron that uh in ZX7 that is one that looks absolutely fantastic it’s one that you’ll see in a
Lot of bags on tour as well it’s an iron that a lot of players on uh DP World Tour and also PJ tour and L are using because it looks great it performs great it’s got that bit of forgiveness in it but kind of that traditional players
Looking it you’ll be really shocked when you hit this at how powerful it is off the face and how forgiven it is for an iron in this category we associate this with kind of striking infection really and I think that stricken kind of delivers an iron here that allows you to
Get away with the odd off center strike it also appeals to that player who wants that traditional and nice looking Golf Club but also needs that performance too we can see that the um pure frame technology that this use is basically means that when we don’t strike the
Middle of the face we get a little bit better ball speed we’ve got tungsten here in the toe as well and also this dual Soul design which is associated with many shrick and products in fact all of them to help with that strike so when we are hitting into the ground it’s
Going to allow us to kind of get into the ground properly with the divot but then this kind of chamford area at the back there means that it exits the turf a little bit better as well so it’s a really really good iron for those of you
That take a nice divot with it as well a new eyon to the market is the Ping blueprint T so this is a really compact bladed looking design not going to be for everyone we do have this weight port in there moving the CG away to to move that sweet spot towards the
Center of the face but as you can see in that playing position it’s very Sleek very small maybe not going to appeal to many of you but certainly the better ball Strikers out there who really want to control that ball flight maybe more workability in there as well the Blue
Print tea is going to suit you to a tea we couldn’t do a players iron list without having a tight list iron and the 620 MB is one of the most beautiful irons out there on the market is it the most forgiving absolutely not but that’s
Why it’s in this list okay so we we know tight list is probably the most played Iron on the PGA tour when we look at it and one of the most on the DP world because they perform fantastically well for the best ball Strikers and best
Players in the world if you fall into that category of someone who’s a really good ball Striker someone who wants that quality someone who wants a set of clubs that looks absolutely amazing in your bag tight list is probably one that you need to have a look at obviously go and
Get fitted we do have the uh CB in this range as well as some of the T-Series irons that we have in the entire titless range too but being able to combo these sets and maybe the shorter irons uh in the MB could be you know a setup that
You have that could work quite well for you but Titus has to be in a list when you’re talking about players zons the Apex Iron Range was revamped at the end of last year and the Apex MB really is a standout product I have a set myself I use them think they’re
Absolutely fantastic IC the feel off the face is brilliant the look behind the ball that kind of more I suppose matte look to the head I think they just sit really nicely the shaping has changed a little bit particularly in the seven and the eight iron in this set so the eight
Iron looks a little bit more seven irony when you see it behind it’s a bit more straighter on the top less rounding so for those of you that like that squarer look to a golf club the MB in the Apex range could be for you obviously you can
Combo them with the CB iron as well so you’re going to get a set of irons really that in the longer clubs will be easier to use shorter clubs look a little bit more Compact and smaller and definitely fit the brief for those of you that are really good ball
Strikers so the final iron on our list is probably in my opinion the nicest iron on the market at the moment in terms of its look so we have the brand new staff model MB iron from Wilson so it looks beautiful like I say it kind of
Harps back to some of those classic looks of irons in the sort of 70s and ‘ 80s that um you know I some of the first irons I ever saw really and and some of the first secondhand sets I had were kind of early ’90s and they were sort of
Sets of these blades I remember having a um a maxfly set that were very very similar in terms of their looks but even down to the kind of the uh crimping and embossing around the top of the huzzle there this longer kind of sort of deck
Kind of profile on there as well really nice Sleek looking head in the playing position it’s really small but you’d be quite shocked when you hit these at how forgiving they actually feel they’re pretty powerful off the face and when we put them up against the CB and also the
Dino power Forge which is obviously a more meaty kind of iron they performed exceptionally well and in fact in distance there really wasn’t that much to split the three of them when we tested them this is obviously forged this staff model and and the kind of
Staff badging on there kind of adds that level of quality to it and I also really like the numbers I mean it might not sound like much but they kind of look a bit more classic in terms of uh the way that they’re uh m to the head there as
Well and stamped on there but I just think if you’re a if you’re a player looking for a traditional blade something that’s not got loads of forgiveness in but it’s still got enough then staff model is definitely an iron for you so hopefully you’ve enjoyed that little look through some of our favorite
Players irons on the market like we said at the start these aren’t going to suit the mass Market but certainly if you’re a player who is a good ball Striker maybe wants to work the ball a bit more and control the ball flight some of the
