What’s up guys welcome back to another video here with Embers golf as of March 15th it’s officially golf season here in Colorado yeah there’s still snow on the ground unfortunately right now but we are in the season sow there’s more snow on the ground there’s more snow on the

Ground but hopefully that’s gone next week and we get on the links we are going to do a have any links courses here one one the dunes yeah the dun okay yeah sure yep what are we doing today today we’re going to be doing a video a comparison video that has been requested

Actually a ton in our comments section yeah we’re going to be comparing three of the hottest irons on the market today Yeah so basically we’ve we finished all of our reviews on irons our single set reviews actually we have a brand new one coming one more sneaking in but we start

Thought we’d start doing some versus videos and then our new top five video is going to be coming shortly yeah what are we reviewing we have the tailor made p770 one of the most popular clubs on the market we have the mauno pro 245 so brand new

To the season of 2024 and then another new iron the pxg 0317 T so not the St the T which is a new Iron Head as of what 5 months ago yeah yeah so we’re going to put all three of these together versus versus versus yeah I think they get it just

Versus yeah versus versus versus versus yeah all right let’s go don’t forget guys if you’re in the Denver metro area and you want to get for any of fit for any of these irons we have them with a full fitting Matrix for all three of these Brands and more so

Give us a shot at it if you’re online and not local here to Denver and you want to order it you know what you want to order shoot us an email right here golf at sorry info@ Embers golf.com or you can text us and Trevor and I will

Respond and get an order written up for you yep subscribe do all the things helps us out a ton yeah Smash It All check out our awesome barbecue channel it’s almost barbecue season by the way yeah we got a sister company it’s barbecue store there’s not a much better

Season when it’s Golf and barbecues no it’s my favorite time of year okay so talking about the categories a little bit what are you doing what are you doing I’m just getting ready to swing these both here take a bracelet with my kids’ birthdays oh I mean that’s cool

Now I can’t make fun of it no no you shouldn’t have in the first place all right so with these three iron heads they kind of there’s like a new category that’s creating its own category does that make sense category creating its own category but we basically have like low handicap

Irons we have mid handicap irons and then we have high handicap or game improvement iron irons but these three are sort of morphing into this new category of I would say like low to mid so they’re better you know little more refined than your mid handicap irons and

A lot of them have bigger brothers so better looking the bigger brother is always better looking I beg a differ the pxg the bigger brother is the Gen 6 all right but little more skilled set little more skill set players might benefit from something like this p770 has the

P790 and the 245 kind of get into the hot Metals a little bit but really these two have the mirrored Big Brothers yeah but what we’re looking at is if you want something a little sexier than the mid handicap club or you want a little more feel or a little more

Controllability these clubs blend The Best of Both Worlds they’re not straight blades but they’re not crammed with technology either they sort of take some of the technology of the mid- handicap irons take some of the features and benefits of a blade and those two get married and they created this this is

Their baby baby baby irons and this is almost like a new fourth category in irons in my opinion and it’s the fastest growing and it’s pretty darn sexy and I’m probably going to end up in one of these categories all right okay we’re starting out with the pxg 0317 T okay

Talk to me about what you like about it first I love the Topline and I really like the St I like the pxg St model it’s just just not forgiving enough on M hits so what they’ve done here Trev and correct me if I’m wrong they took the St

Kind of format and layout which like Trevor said is the the well the Gen 6 is the Big Brother the St would be the little brother but then they took some of that polymer infill that they have which is what is it called pxg yeah but they’ve put that inside of this club

Head so it’s almost like like Trevor said it’s a perfect bun between the Gen 6 and the St model which should suit has the weight tungsten weight out in the toe and um can I get about pxg is they have the um perimeter waiting in the back so we have a little adjustability

In the fitting process oh by the way I think I’ll just play my my seven iron smart Mo that’s why I’m playing in my pxg bag also comes in Black so see this weight right here you can uh change that out if you want I do love the weight this club

Looks really hard to beat aesthetically talk to me how’s it feeling it feels extremely good okay I got a flyer on that last one which is what I’m a little afraid of and but they’re not going to fly too they’re not going to fly like the Gen sixes no but

That one went up over two bills so what I’m looking for in this sort of hybrid category is I still want a lot of forgiveness in it because I’m just not a consistent enough ball Striker but I want a little more feel than some of those really crazy foam filed clubs give

Me and I knew I pushed that right when I hit it but man it felt good off the face impact wise oh yeah oh yeah nothing wrong with this club majority of them are on the green and it feels great and I feel like it’s not so foam filled that I can’t don’t

Have any feel or control sure it’s small enough I can turn it over but still super forgiving okay right off the bat the 770 seems like it’s slightly of a thicker Top Line but not not terribly it is a small Club head which can be a little intimidating I guess if you’re

Not ready for it sounding good yeah that one felt really good which one is that one going be a flyer 770 talk to me about the difference in feel off the face compared to the pxg honestly they are so incredibly similar and I think it’s because they both are

Utilizing very similar technology feels the same yeah very soft very forgiving so we got the foam filled in that one what do you what do you think about the attractiveness if it’s honestly it’s slightly good shot it’s slightly thicker Top Line to the eye do you think it feels more

Forgiving or not necessarily it feels a little more springy I would say a little more springy off the face the tailor made does but in a way where it lacks feel no or no just it seems like it’s power Go Power Bomb like Kevin Nash

Yep I think looks wise the 770 is a little cleaner looking I see what you mean the top line is a touch thing thicker which may not be a bad thing it’s not so thick that it bothers me no honestly the only real downside I see with the

770 is is a personal preference you can’t get it murdered out well they had a limited run last year they did I forgot about that but it was a limited edition I could you customize shaft and all that or is that all aftermarket I think you could do it both I can’t

Remember that would be sweet but you know Taylor Made they’re always coming out with li lied Edition stuff I bet you we’ll see some more yeah especially 770 oh yeah oh yeah that one sounded pure man I think sweet spotted it feels better on The Sweet Spot than the pxg

When you flush it yeah or or am I crazy no I think it does on the pxg you mean compared to the pxg yeah I think so too I think that’s what I sense by the the feeling of like firm like you can just tell that you sent it

Yep that one felt really good too man I like this thing oh so that’s a Miss let’s see what it does see I like that like that was a heel ball and you knew right away I knew I could feel it so you can feel what’s

Going on in the golf course but it’s still that speed foam is does help with forgiveness man this isn’t nice club yeah and it’s I like it because it’s in Colorado we don’t need help with distance here usually so it’s not a distance iron it’s a 33° lofted seven iron so beautiful it

Helps get the ball in the air for sure what are you hitting okay so now we’re moving on to the club this is a new model the mauno pro 245 last year was the 425 right Trev 42 223 225 no 225 225 sorry there last

Year it was the 225 and the 225 was the club I was most excited about last year okay so this is the new improved 245 it’s a little bit smaller than last year’s model watch the full length review on that if you want um more details on this

Club but let’s see how it goes this is just a true hollow body club right just hollow body Pro yeah it’s not as much technology in it but visually there’s an argument that it’s the most attractive or no no I think so I mean it looks it looks the most attractive because

There’s nothing going on it looks like a straight blade yeah it looks like so you can kind of pose as playing a blade like it looks like the the 241 but just fatter yeah just a hair thicker but this is more of a distance club that it’s much stronger lofted it’s

A 30° 7 iron so I struggle with strong lofted irons I I need I need them Del lofted more to help me get the ball in the air talk to me about Fel a little bit I’ve just given one two three does it feel better like the hollow body you

Like I think I like the study it’s not feels a little thuddy it’s not as what’s the word I’m looking for imposter you can Mish hit and it feels like an impostor of a good hit with the other two you know you missed it but it still

Feels this gives you a little more feel yeah like I know I’m puring those last three okay last year they had a limited edition blackout model of these I don’t know if there’s anything in the pipeline for the two four FS this year we both ordered a set of those last year

Thinking we were going to play them and then sold them both yeah they both sold yep jokes on us no actually not really it worked out better yeah all right no more needed just just a bunch of really good shots oh that feels really good that feels really good I don’t know Mikey

Likey left it out there what do you think standing over it it looks like I mean they it they 7 looks similar yeah I agree standing over the top of it hard to tell a difference visually a little bit thicker than normal Top Line which I’m I

Kind of want you know I’m not looking to play a blade you know you’re not looking to be scared over the ball oh there’s a fatty let’s see if she can get there oh she’s getting there that’s going to be your best one yet far as distance from

The hole man and that was a terrible hit man that was forgiving it’s so this is this is the easiest to hit I think I think so the easiest to hit mhm but not not necessarily the best of the three the easiest to hit yeah should we look at

Some data let’s do it okay Trev before I click for us to see your data what do you think give me your raw thoughts um here’s what I’m going to say is all three clubs are absolutely exceptional MH and this is one of the harder side by

Sides I think we’ve ever done am I right no I agree it’s the tightest side by side I’ve ever done uh I’m going to say the mauno probably had the best dispersion going to be the easiest to hit I think the 770 probably gave me a better ball flight

Okay uh feel wise I prefer the feel of I think my favorite feel was the 770 okay so feel 770 looks probably I like the mauno the best attractiveness feel the 770 but the 0317 is close and I think the mauno is the easiest to hit I think the Muno is

Leaning more the most towards the mid- handicapper yeah so this category is a category that Trevor finds himself falling into so if you put all three of these names in a hat and pulled out any of them you think you could have a successful season yes I would maybe not I would

Guess the 037 would be the least forgiving the most towards a Players Club yeah my guess all right all right check out in order of easiest as far as closer to mid- handicap mauno 770 0317 that’s a guess all right so look at it oh the pxu is the tightest dispersion

Slow though lot slower very much slower same spin same spin similar launch and not as long but you had the best launch angle not as long your ball flight’s not bad starts off the highest and dies the fastest what you’d expect the 245 went further but I really think

You’re talking a 30° iron versus a 33 yeah so that’s not quite Apples to Apples and it’s just like you said the 245 is meant for distance and that’s obvious and I don’t need distance no so if I was ordering a set to game out of

These three mhm um cuz I don’t want my seven iron going 204 anyways if I was ordering the 243s 245s I would order them 2° a week mhm so I’d order them at a 32 the seven iron to be at a 32° so now we’re getting closer to that 770

Warmer warmer um I think the 770 is The Sweet Spot I don’t think the 0317 is is quite forgiving enough for me and the 245s starting to get too forgiving for me not that you can have too much forgiveness but you know what I mean I

Lose a little feel a little bit and challenge you lose some of the skill that’s taken that’s a debate by the way put in the comment section we’ve been hearing this debate do you put get irons that are above your pay grade so to speak and learn to hit them a lot of

People are saying that or do you get something easier to hit and just go out and have fun I think in my my answer is depends on your goals yeah I lean towards being able since I can practice in here and play um you know we get out

And play quite a bit I lean towards playing something that’s going to challenge me a little bit and force me to improve my ball your good days are good days so for that reason I would choose the 770s over the 245s and I think when you Center them they didn’t

Feel bad off the tower heel but they felt the best in the center of the club face the 770s for sure all right before you look at it tell me what you you think okay so off the bat I think it’s going to be very similar datawise I had

Flyers with all of them um I think the 245 is going to be the the furthest cuz I hit a couple of those really far but again a strong Loft we we yeah we expected that um honestly I feel like the pxg felt the best like if I was

Ordering a set today I’d probably order the t’s okay can I look I did I already looked sorry so your pxg was the fastest yeah the 770 gave you the best ball flight with the best spin man that’s look at that look at that dispersion and ball flight dispersion and ball flight

Were near identical this shows why these clubs are all being compared and I think if you ordered the 245 at 2° week they’d be even tighter yeah so which one you going with my favorite of the bunch was the 770 yeah looks wise feel wise the 770 I feel like is the most

Attractive play like if I’m having a full iron setup in the in the bag workability on the high irons I think the 770 is the one I would choose but the pxg for me I had a lot of confidence with so I think you could honestly I could pull any of these out

Of a hat and play them here’s an X Factor I totally forgot about yeah the 770s are going to combo set the best oh so if you need the combo set which I would probably do I would do 770s in all my scoring irons and maybe 654 irons or

Maybe four iron I do 790s I mean look at this you you can’t even tell them apart unless you’re standing over the top of them I mean the angle here is a little different but it doesn’t get much closer than that you can combo set that very

Very easy very easy I didn’t even think about that option 37 it combo sets with the pxg Gen 6 but not as well no very very different looks and then the O the 245s if you combo set it into a hot metal now we’re a totally different

Look so blendability in the bag you know that just doesn’t float let me the I think the mauno and the pxg and now hear me out here blend the other way well oh yeah so if you go 243 then 245 or you go T’s STS oh yeah but they don’t go for

Game improvement blending they go for skill player blending yeah you could blend these with the 243s which are my favorite irons so we’re going to be doing other reviews like the low handicap irons we got all of our top five videos coming um one very much

Omitted club that we didn’t do in this side by side because we’re saving it for our top five is our ZX7 zx5 combo especially the ZX7 that’s low to mid hand monster combo beautiful combo that that’s that’s a combo so that review is coming if you’re waiting for that side

By side um there’s nothing like some Japanese forgery no the forgery is the best that combo can do some damage oh yeah but out of these three I’m going 770s 770 790 combo that’s a gorgeous combo right there yeah all right that’s our take let us know if you guys

Disagree or agree yeah and if you’ve done this test go ahead if you’ve done this test yourself where you play these irons tell us why you chose them or didn’t choose them

  1. I am headed to Denver next week for some skiing. I love this channel. You guys are totally not like other channels. I can tell, you guys LOVE golf so much, and you guys love testing stuff. I like the dynamic you guys have working together. Its funny. You guys have bad ass stores there. people in Denver lucky to have you. But you would have to bend the PXG to be same loft for applies to apples, which is good about PXG, its many times forged, can be bent many, many times. I am low handicap, and get on more game improvement side, than players club. I play PXG 0311P Gen 6 irons, and Sugar Daddy II wedges. In Sim golf, I shoot under par. I would say combo set with the PXG 0317 T, would be with Hybrids…6 hybrid-3 hybrid, and you are good to go. Then you only need 7I-PW with 0317 T, then 6-3 Hybrid. That is the combo set of the current players era. Hybrid so much better nowadays for many golfers than 6I or 4 I, etc.

  2. With ťrading, technicaI analysis skills alone are not enough; discipline and emotional maturity are also crucial for success. The saying "time in the market vs. timing the market" is a good mindset to have during market fluctuations. Thanks to Laura A Keady’s insights, daily ťrade signaIs, and my dedication to learning, I've been increasing my daily earnings. Keep it up!

  3. Tayte- Do you feel like you hit the pxg and Taylormade’s better on real turf over the mizuno ? I’m a steeper swinger. The mizunos I hit awesome on the sim. But the pxg and tm have a lotmore bounce and seem to glide easier for me outside. Mizunos are very low bounce but have ticked up higher a touch the last two years Wondering what you think especially when you play on softer turf.

  4. the pro 243 would have been a better fit here against these other clubs (pro 245 goes more head to head with T200/p790), you would also probably blend the 243 into the 245.

  5. When i went to test out the mizuno 245's, I almost bought them. However, i tried the 243's just for fun and hit them sooooo much more consistently. The 245's had further front-back dispersion for me with a couple long ones that you could maybe call "flyers". But the 243's are so good that the harder you hit them, the more spin you get, and the higher they go, and softer they land without going too much farther. I didn't hit them as far as the 245's but i dont really care about that if I can trust the distance of the 243's. I purchased the 243's and for whatever reason had 2 of the best rounds in a row of my life (maybe just coincidence). Also, in my opinion, the 243's are JUST AS forgiving as the 245's, but the 245's just go a bit farther. It's really a choice of a tad more distance or a tad more accuracy. But they both still have similar forgiveness. I hit my 6 iron off the toe last round and it lost maybe 5 yards. The only down side that i'm finding is that the 4 and 5 irons are a bit tougher to hit. May want to blend with 245's there, if anything.

  6. I made a mistake getting the Original stealths a few years ago. It never made me work on my game at all because they are so forgiving. For someone like me whos obsessed with the game, i should have gotten a players distance iron like the p790 to start. Now 3 yrars in, my game has stagnated. So ill be buying more challenging clubs to better my game. Going for a fitting this Saturday. Leaning p770, king tour, t150, or takomo 201s. I will struggle at first to hit any of them properly. But after a few seasons my game will hopefully be good enough to where ill be able to play any club, and any course. I get my enjoyment from the challenge of golf. More so than the comradery, or exercise. I can easily play alone, as i can with my friends or strangers.

  7. I literally basically own as of this moment, all the models p770, pxg 317t and 225's… I have version one of the p770, I had the new version but imo they are ordinary and I sold them…

After multiple injuries started to struggle with the p770s for distance, so moved to the 225s (easiest to hit by far), I just got the 317t, which imo is between the other 2… PXG's look the best but 225's are much better for forgiveness and distance… I'm leaning back towards the Mizuno's but not 100%… P770's are getting sold…

    Great video, guys! 🏌‍♀️ps 12 handicap atm…

  8. Been looking at doing a combo set of the p770/p790. Currently playing PXG P gen 5 but the shaft is no longer a good fit for me. Demoed the 0317 T but PXGs shaft matrix is rather limited compared to others. LOVED the 245 when I demoed them but cost and military discount being a major factor I’m leaning TM or a DTC brand

  9. Own both p770 and 317 T …..P770 more forgiving and have more pop…..317 T have a definite blade feel….softer feel…..prefer P770 currently….have set of clubs for home in Dubai and US when visiting….

  10. I went from Mizuno MP20’s to 770 and I absolutely love them. More forgiving and distance and I don’t get any fliers. Can still work and control the ball.

  11. 245’s are 🧈. Had to get fitted for the proper shaft to have my launch and spin be in line but they were the best for me
