This device has been eye opening for me to say the least. After nearly 30 years of teaching, I’m still learning new things everyday with this awesome device.

The GOATs rotated their hands over extremely quickly as I have shown in previous GOAT Theory videos, but to actually feel it for myself?
WOW!
It feels wild to say the least to rotate my hands this quickly through impact.

Hey guys I just wanted to do a quick update I’m working on several new videos right now uh about the wrist and hand movement in the swing but I wanted to talk about this one give you a little heads up because this one is wild uh

This is the rotation uh using olison as The Benchmark his lines is the dash line here and what this means what this is really showing is how much rotation the hands are doing throughout the entire swing so if we go back to a dress they start rotating obviously a little bit

Right away and then as they go once you get kind of close to uh the goat delivery position GDP the rotation ramps up wildly and normally my rotation stopped about halfway uh compared to what you see now where we’re almost in the exact same boat but you this solid

Line showing my rotational speed here is the strangest feeling I’ve ever had in the golf swing it is so wild to get this much rotational speed I’ve never felt this in my life I don’t think and it just goes to show you that there are really a lot of different ways to swing

The golf club but the way that the great release the club and again I’m using olison as I talked about in the last video because his swing pattern release pattern matches up to Tigers so well which matches up to all the other greats like Bobby Jones and so on that to get

This level of rotation truly feels like the golf swing is all in the hands it in swinging like the goats this is purely hand speeed and the only thing I can liken it to I’m a I love ping pong I’m a huge table tennis player

Uh not good but I love it and uh imagine with your left hand hitting a left-handed backand with Top Spin as quickly as you could that’s what the golf swing feels like in order to have this much rotational velocity and to match the curves it’s crazy I’m going to

Do a full video on this but I just wanted to show you guys that to match this this is such a different feeling if you’ve been turning your body a lot in the swing to try and generate speed this is going to feel wildly different because this is truly a handp speeed

Golf swing which is what you see in Bobby Jones how he releases the club tiger how he releases the club olison how he releases the club but the feel that I can’t wait to share with you guys is what’s really wild about this so if you’re working on your hack motion I’d

Love to see post it in the community if you have your data your rotational speed I’d love to see your swing and the rotational speed that you’re generating uh in in your swing

  1. Where do I start? I checked the website, it’s very confusing.
Is there like a step by step video.
Like Day 1 to Day 10?
    Beginner to Scratch?
Please help. No clue where to start

  2. I agree with your view that a left-handed topspin pin pong swing is "the feeling" for a right-handed player. Or, at least part of "it."

I had a epiphany when I was about 17 and had always hit weak fades. One day I "pulled" from the top of my backswing as hard as I could down and around with my left side: hips and, especially, latissimus dorsi until I got into the release "position," at which time it left like I was flinging the back of my left hand around and out at the ball as hard as I could make it move while keeping my body rotation speed such that my hands would not "pass" my body until well after ball contact.

I went from hitting weak 220 yard fades to hitting 270 yard bullet draws in like 5 swings. This was ~60 years ago. The trick was simply to "whip" my arms and hands with the left side of my body into the hitting area at which point my body-feel shifted to "releasing" the back of my left hand and driving my right shoulder down and through the ball. As soon as I could feel the balance of "posting up" around my left side (leg/ hip), I could swing just about as hard as I wanted to, not lose balance, and yet have the clubhead be delivered right on target.

I will emphasize that for me, unlike for Hogan and others, I never "felt" my right hand, as such. At most, I felt my right shoulder drive through the hitting area, but it was really my left side that got me "there" and the feeling of the back of my left hand "releasing/ rolling into" the ball while my right shoulder added extra drive through impact. Despite what this description sounds like, I needed to maintain a smooth tempo, relaxed backswing-to-downswing transition, and then a smooth but aggressive acceleration towards the ball.

Not sure if this description accords with yours, although it sounds like it does.

In any case, I've always been the longest driver among contemporaries and still hit my driver 250 yards+ at age 76. So, I endorse your GOAT description! (Not that I'm any kind of GOAT…just a low single-digit player who loves to never stop learning about how to golf my ball.)
