Punch there’s no doubt about that his biggest challenge as Richie says he to get close enough to Heeney to let the big shots go Heeney is this overachiever at 34 very much living the dream great shot by heene sharp right hand yeah and as Brad Falls is coming forward Fletch

He’s got to move the head most definitely but he’s just got to watch out for the right hand from Heeney heene is quick Off the Mark here and as Brad Paul moves in gets into distance with it tries to close the gap then he rips a

In 18 fights the British champion living the dream and maybe on the verge of a big open air fight in the summer in his beloved Stoke if he can come through tonight that’s the big incentive that’s what’s on the line for him just cut his he off balance there

Reach of Nathan Heeney little bit too far out at this stage Brad Pauls minute gone in the second scheduled for 12 British middleweight title WBA a continental middleweight title as well both currently in The Possession of Nathan heing interesting tonight Richie to see just what that Bentley result has done

For him in terms of confidence and whether he can become even better based on that sometimes it can be the building block and the starting point a real launch pad for people yes absolutely and he certainly started this with a lot of confidences Nathan Heeney started that I think he had a

Good first round then he’s carrying it on in in the second round now so it’s a positive start keeping his man at Bay working well behind his [Applause] jab but um Brad Pauls has not right him off just yet so he’s getting a little bit closer like I said the priority is to

Close that gap for him it’s only the third British champion from Stoke Nathan he if he wins it tonight Brad Pauls he following the footsteps of the likes of Len Harvey and Bob Fitz Simmons British champions from Cor one he might just be starting to warm to [Applause]

It see at this stage that’s probably the only chance that Brad Paul’s got Landing a real good shot is if Nathan Heeney misses the target he almost did there you see with that jab if he actually misses the Target and Brad Pauls then just times that counter with the right

Hand and he’s got a chance to catch Heeney over stretching a little bit but at the moment he’s been quite accurate with that lead hand of his he’s this sorry his timing is quite good that’s that’s better from Paul’s yeah right hand long right hand just caught the

Side of he his jaw that was always the Jeopardy against Bentley the possibility of Bentley finishing the fight with one punch and he kept out of range and kept his concentration and boxed a very clever fight that night Nathan heing they first worked together in his last amate contest and the 18 fights

He’s had before tonight they’ve been alongside each other and he played such a big part didn’t he that night against enzel Bentley yeah it was a it was a fantastic performance from Steve good Vine himself in that contest wasn’t it as well as Nathan having to carry out

His tactics Nathan did the Box in that night but certainly Steve Woodbine in that corner motivated Nathan eie very well indeed and gave him the right instructions it was a great um performance from both of them to be honest he needs in the mainly black trunks with Hitman and blaz him across

The waistband the white trunks with Brad [Applause] Pauls solid shot there from PA but he’s got a tight guard a tight defense at this stage the British champion what Paul is doing now he’s just he’s got a little bit more confidence and um he’s reacting off the

Jabs from see there is again he’s reacting off off the JBS of he he’s getting his timing spot on right hand was good there though he he’s realized he’s got to react quicker as hey throws out that jab and that’s what he’s doing with these counters faster [Applause]

Counters calls is the one with the power in there mean he’s got six stoppages in his 18 fights he tends to have to do it the long route relying on his boxing ability body shot from Paul he tried to catch him with that looping left as moved down the ropes

Heene he just showed me something there earlier though Brad Pauls you got to start fainting with that front foot a little bit more and try and draw the lead of Heeney then if he can draw the lead he can certainly slip that shot and then whip that right hand over and it’ll

All come from that little faint with the front [Applause] foot that left hook in again that’s the punch he’s looking for Richie isn’t it lovely head movement there a little left up to the [Applause] body he’s win against Bentley was voted as the upset of the Year huge Underdog

That night quite brilliant in Manchester [Applause] he his job tonight rich is to make Brad Paul’s pay when he misses with those big shots occasionally Brad Paul St you attack from too far out but he’s he’s learning as he’s going along here he’s getting a little bit closer but again he

Need probably Nick the [Applause] Around now they come for the fourth it’s a fight that’s being fought at a decent pace this one he looking to work behind that left jab the good JB there starting this round again from hey and that’s mainly because BR PA’s feet are a little bit too slow just

Moving moving into range got to do it a little bit quicker or if or if he’s slow with the feet that def when you got to move the head draw the lead but move the head coming forward when there’s little head move movement and slow feet coming forward just coming into range too

Easily and um he is’s picking him off with those [Applause] jobs he he put in the punches together Brad PA’s left hook is his danger punch that’s the one that he is looking to avoid that’s the punch tonight that could be the game changer for the man from

Newy long range left off certainly just caught Nathan Heeney and again he’s trying to land that shot starting the attack from a little bit too far out but nevertheless one did get through [Applause] There he’s probably throwing that because of Nathan in the occasion he just drops his right hand and uh I think TOS has spotted that so he’s trying to launch that left up but he’s probably little bit too far out got to get closer before throwing [Applause] it moving towards the final minute of

The fourth round competitive fight for the British middleweight title it’s a good taste about it Richie yeah it’s a good contest isn’t it this round again I think Nathan hey large part of it has managed to keep it at distance behind that straight see that’s a good shot that’s a better shot from

Pauls has managed to keep his distance well [Applause] here that swinging left hook from Pauls that just fell short he needs to be on the Move in there throwing com combination Steve Wood the same between rounds he want twos and threes and threes and fours let your hands go making his feet Falls

Though as you quite rightly say he’s growing in confidence a longer the fight goes off growing in confidence I thought his the last round was close I still think hey Nick the round but as this contest is going on he’s learning here [Applause] Pauls round [Applause]

That’s the way he does it yeah that is the way he does it and uh every contest you see Heeney like that he’s a thi kid no doubt about it Nathan Heeney I think sometimes he supplements the road work for delivering the tickets on foot yeah so his passionate fans from

Stoke on Trent minut it to go in the fifth good contest this R Paul still fairly dangerous though especially when they’re in the mid the midsection there sorry the in mid-range these bent arm shots from Brad Falls I think mid to Long than Nathan Heeney seems to be in control but soon

As he closes that Gap then he becomes a dangerous opponent Brad Pauls Paul said the long Dale belt is the best belt in boxing and it’s his dream tonight to leave this arena in possession they need to tried to catch the gumshield but without success well

We know he’d be no good at Cricket then not with those gloves [Applause] on Final a few seconds here with the fifth Nathan heia field just getting on top now yeah he’s indeed and there’s blood on the face of Brad Pauls as well which is going to spur on the man from

Stoke on Trent body shot from Pauls and there’s the Bell again for me starting to get on top now I tell you what Richie as well there was a lot of deep breaths being taken by Brad Paul’s between rounds I think he’s starting to feel the paain it’s been unrelenting since the opening

Belt and as you say just signed in that previous round that Nathan he was getting on top he had the Longdale belt under the Christmas tree in his home in Stoke by the way he is immensely proud of being the British [Applause] champion Pauls coming forward but only finding Nathan he’s shoulder

Yeah a little bit better from Paul got to try and just St the pace a little bit especially with the feet that’s better from him that was a decent left up that found the target yeah he’s just got to Quicken the feet up for me clch clows

That gap down a little bit quicker but he’s having a little bit of success now he Brad PS working behind the jab but then sending the right straight right in behind it that was a good punch for him against enzel Bentley theight he won the title it’s actually a good box him there

From he cuz he’s sensing the danger there Brad Falls has got to him a couple of times in this round closing that Gap and so he realizes that and so he goes long again Gets behind that jab and tries to put him in his place again but

It’s turning out to be a competitive round this one now cuz Brun Falls having a bit of success [Applause] here [Applause] in his jab the key punch at the moment Pauls can’t quite get close enough to get that left hook going yeah good movement there from Brad

Paul but needed to punch off it that’s a better shot lovely left up there from Brad Paul yeah that just stopped him with his tracks didn’t it briefly just got close enough there to let one go that’s the danger to the British champion that’s where the Challenger poses the most [Applause]

Threat even more success in this round bra PA this is for me it’s been his best round he’s got to keep the head moving as he’s coming forward because because he’s scoring with some good shots then he’s he’s coming forward more and more and that’s why he’s got to

Move the head cuz he’ll walk on to a shot so he’s got to just be a little bit careful as he’s coming forward Brad [Applause] Pauls just falling short with that chopping right hand and then Falls with the right of his own round was definitely Brad PA’s best

So round seven scheduled for 12 British middleweight title on the line as well as the WBA Continental belt as well Nathan heene of stoke Brad Pauls from new in Cornwall based in ess6 these days and the he desperate to cling on to the title that he won against enel Bentley Before Christmas

There’s that lead hand workk that Carl was talking about from Nathan heing yeah and what basically that does obviously you know you’re scoring points with that you’re keeping the opponent um off balance but also if he keeps scoring with that shot Nathan in it frustrates Brad Paul and what Paul’s will do then

He’s come over that front foot thinking he’s behind and that’s when you walk onto bigger shots so it’s it’s a it’s good work um with the lead hand from heene but again he’s getting competitive Brad Paul’s having a bit of success himself and he’s growing in

Confidence it’s like a be pit in here the 2,000 from Stoke shouting the heads up he’s got some support in here himself BR PA he said he sold 150 tickets but they’ve got no chance against the heene fans tonight oh good work again from Paul’s lovely double left hook body to head

From Pauls drag nathanie in into a more of a mid-range battle there that was good stuff from him halfway through the seven right hand from [Applause] hey another right hand from hey right down the PIP that one they were cheering that one in his [Applause] corner back back [Applause]

Fall’s falling short with the right hand he on the Move there’s the right hand again it’s becoming a better punch for him the longer the fight goes on finding Pauls with greater regularity with that shot yeah and that simple jab again and that sets up that right hand you know

It’s just good basic box in there from heene it’s been a good response in this round from the champion B on Pauls having his best round of the fight in the previous round yeah good little left up to the body there from Pauls and a decent right hand from him decent lead

Shot wasn’t it as he he came in final few seconds of the seventh Paul’s doing his best work in this round right at the end here his last stoppage when was in November of 2021 Paul’s has gone the distance in his last four as well his last one was an eight rounder

Against Mitchell Frierson last September which set him up for [Applause] tonight five to go what Pauls has got to do also Fletch to close that gap down he’s got to double up on his jab so double jab fast feet in and then maybe whip try and whip a right

Hand over the top the double Jabs are hard um combination to defend against you get your chin down beyond your lead shoulder and with fast feet you can just close that gap down and then get into that mid-range section and then work downstairs Swit the attack haven’t seen

A lot of double Jabs from Brad calls and that’s probably what he should be [Applause] trying probably from Paul just wa he need take a backwards [Applause] step both men in fantastic condition and the Nathan hey crowd in full voice here in Birmingham yeah he’s having to work for

It but um you know with the better shots he’s pulling around the face of aan H now probably coming from the nose you’d suspect yeah with long right from TS and he against the ropes that was a good shot the G Shields out he in trouble really good solo here from Pauls really

Accurate strong hard punches for his Champion hanging on a little bit in there yeah big shots from Pauls that was an excellent um display attacking display from Pauls there that was superb just wondering whether they was stopping there and look oh look at Steve Wood R

He’s just taking as long as he possibly can to get that g Shield back into Nathan Heeney but Brad pulls there just exploded with shots that was great work from him that’s the best we’ve seen from the Challenger tonight and he was just unraveling a little bit there Nathan hey now how much

Is the head clear Fred Pauls we know has power he looking to fight off the rugs but it to go in the e best spell of the fight for the Challenger can he build on that Nathan he has to dig deep now he does indeed and another right

Hand over the top from Pauls his Corner urging him on to come forward he’s landed some great shots in this round Brad Paul big punches best round of the fight for Dr calls 30 seconds to go in the eigh he he is going to be looking forward to the minute rest between

Rounds it’ll be fascinated to hear what Steve Wood’s got to say Brad Pauls has a taste for it shots from hey think he’s got nois here in here yeah and that’s SP Dr T on isn’t it Dr PS on keeps coming forward now looking for another big shot his best round of the

[Applause] contest and at one point there Nathan he in a lot of trouble [Applause] great round for Brad Pauls different ways but there’s a man who gets his message across and it goes in and sinks in with Nathan hey yeah reading the right attack to him there

Wasn’t he and then he was doing the right thing telling him he was taking too many risks he got caught with a big shot when he could have made it much more easier make the job easy basically same box at range isn’t he doesn’t want him to mix it and trade

Keep the punches nice and straight rather than trading with those bent arm shots yeah both exchanging good shots there four to go we suspect he’s got a lead but Paul’s had a really good round in the last one and that little bit of extra rest while they clean the G Shield will have

Come in handy for the British champion can Brad Paul’s build on it now well this is when Brad PA has really got to go for it now and put put Nathan he under some more pressure pressure sustained pressure that’s what he needs here BR PA that last round

Might may have taken a bit out of him cuz he he spent a lot of energy doing it but nevertheless that was his best round by a mile on that front foot catching he with some big shots but he he sensibly has slowed it down and he’s boxing at

Distance again so Brad Pauls has got to Quicken things upy working behind that long left jab again that tends to set up the right [Applause] hand THS knows he can hurt him now though that’s going to give him the confidence to keep coming forward and throwing those

Hooks halfway through the N quiet around this one sensible boxing from he on the Move exactly that the Dr PS has just allowed Heeney to slow things down but he may be taking a breather himself that’s what can happen in the 12 round contest you can naturally take the round off here and

There and like I say he put a lot of energy into that last round Brad Paul maybe just feeling the effect this has been a really good round hasn’t it forini keeping out of rings working behind the jab throwing combinations and then moving away before Pauls can

Respond and he’s listened to his Corner hasn’t he flet you know Steve woodwi said want to take any risks to box sensible and that’s what he’s done here and he’s made it easier for himself it’s very difficult for Brad Pauls to win the fight when he he boxes

Like this it’s when he gets drawn in that it gives Pauls the chance that was the message from Steve Wood just don’t do it there’s no need it’s your fight when you box like this so in these situations what Brad PA has got to try

Brad Pauls Pauls is the one with the power heing the Slicker boxer he he try to hang on to his title BR Paul’s trying to change his boxing career sensible boxes again from Heeney good right hand there and again bit of frustration keep creeping in from Brad Paul’s nose that he’s being

Consoled with that jab so he’s the one who coming forward but by doing that walking onto the odd right hand himself is Brad Pauls and Nathan Heeney listening to his Corner boxing at distance well behind his ja doing nothing special just basic boxing but he’s winning the

Contest and Again Brad Pauls has got to change things he’s got to Quicken things up and put more pressure on and make Nathan hey uncomfortable with the pace of the [Applause] contest Ley the referee breaks the two men good shot from he long right hand nice and accurate jolted ahead of Brad Paul’s

Back lovely shot that was well [Applause] timed and of course you have a situation here now Brad Pauls that’ll be telling him that you know he he probably needs a stoppage so he’s got to come forward that’s what he’ll feel there was always that feeling tonight he

He fought Bentley that he could change that fight in any second but he he was able to keep his discipline and keep his concentration it’s a simle story here moving towards the latter stages because he still packs a punch and he’s got the power to change it yeah he’s just caught

Heene again with another crack in right hand it really was they saw landed simultaneously I think um Nathan Heeney landed a good shot himself but nevertheless Brad Pauls his danger shot that right hand so he’s still in it isn’t he he’s a tough kid absolutely he’s giving everything in there Brad

Falls I think he was glad of a little breather as well though by the way 20 seconds to go in the [Applause] 10th Pauls behind that left jab on the Move himself so Brad Pauls makes his way back to his Corner Terry Stewart and we know that

Brad Pauls you know he’s always in this contest lot of these rounds have been close he’s been out worked um good shot right hand right at the start coming out to try and do what he was told between rounds by his Corner that right hand landed as
