In this video and episode of the ‘Weekend Show’ I give my opinion and overview of the ultralight golf clubs from U.S Kids Golf. The mission of U.S Kids Golf is to help kids have fun learning the lifelong game of golf and to encourage family interaction that builds lasting memories.
I purchased this set of golf clubs for my 5 year old boy and he absolutely loves them. They are a super light set of golf clubs which means even at 5 he can swing them no problem and also carry the ultra light golf bag.
I think if you have a child who is showing an interest in golf then these clubs could well be worth purchasing.

Hi guys welcome to another episode of a weekend show it’s been another wet and windy week here in the UK but hope you’ve had a good week anyway and you managed to get some golf in as well so today I’m going to be doing a club review with a difference so today I’m
Talking kids clubs so my boy he’s approaching five in the next month or two he’s just started to show signs of getting into sport so I actually purchased a little mini set of golf clubs a few weeks ago and he’s absolutely loving them so we’re going to
Talk about those and give them a little review so the mini set is from us kids golf they have different Rangers they have the yard Club the ultr light the Tour series so my boy just starting out there he did actually have a club I
Bought him a year a bit go but the club was definitely just too heavy so he wasn’t able to swing it and he definitely wasn’t enjoying it so they have the ultra light range where the club head is 25% lighter in material than the adult Club heads and this range
Is for kids of height between 39 in to I think 66 in so my boy came in around 43 in so we bought him the 42 in set which is for approximately 4 to six year old and got to say straight away he was absolutely buzzing when he first got
Them out of the box we’ve been using them a little bit for the past two weeks so in the set you get the driver the head cover the seven iron the pitching wedge the putter or the cutter as he calls it the bag is a double Strap Bag
So easy for him to carry plenty of pockets on there for the balls definitely a snack pocket I think that’s what he’s enjoying most about golf so in terms of usability with the lighter Heads the light flexible shafts he’s actually been able to get the ball up in
The air which for all kids and the adults who just starting out the game when you start seeing that ball getting off the floor you can see the little smile on the face and he’s absolutely buzzing from it so far in the first few weeks we’ve used it in the indoor
Simulator at leisure pod dedicated venues play some games on the foresight he’s absolutely loved it in there we’ve come outside onto the chipping and the putting green and got to sa from a dad’s perspective it’s just nice to be able to spend some time with him outside watching him hit some balls just
Generally just having some fun and spending some time together which is the most important time so the clubs themselves they’re definitely not the cheapest out there but again as I said I did buy a cheaper Club a year ago but it was just too heavy to use so it’s
Definitely worth spending that little bit extra if your kids are getting into golf cuz these sets they will be able to swing so on the website they also make it really easy to size you can see what size fits your child the best on there there’s loads of different ranges you
Could just buy a single Club I bought it come as a set but many many options the real good thing with this is obviously we want kids to be getting into golf there the next future generation of the golf game so if we can make it as easy
As we can which these clubs definitely are helping with that then it’s just a fantastic job what us kids golf have done so with this ultra light 42 in set as I said the clubs what came with it but a closer look at the clubs it’s a
26° Fairway kind of driver but it’s just super cool flexible shaft he definitely loves pegging this one up and trying to give it a little whack hopefully it’s a few years until he can try and get it past his dad but I’m sure that day will come one
Day in terms of irons we get the seven iron the pitching wedge obviously the same shafts on there course the 7i in the whacking Club this one’s his chipper so he’s enjoying those as well hitting them off the ground taking some divots obviously down for me to clean them so I
Actually clean these more than I do my own clubs terms of putter got to say super jealous of this why I wish this I could put an extra shaft in this I actually really like this we’ve got a long leaf putter feels really nice sits really nice see even got the alignment
On there so we’ve already had some putting games outside you only thing at the moment is I’m having to let him win which I’m not going to carry on that one so he definitely needs to learn to lose a little bit better but it’s not worth
The teers and the Tantrums just yet it’s all about having fun so as I said with this set I’m just super impressed it’s so light so light to pick up he can carry the golf clubs himself so we can go out and play not go on the course yet
As he is definitely just a beginner but to be able to come to the chipping green the putting green the indoor simulator or the driving range you can join him we can spend some quality time together which is the most important thing in terms of my parenting everybody brings
Up the kids their own different way but I’m definitely not going to be a pushy parent if he wants to get into golf then I will encourage him but I won’t be one who will be telling him what to do I’ll show him once he’s got a little bit of a
Stubborn streak in him as well so he thinks he knows how to do it already but I’ll just show him once then he has to go figure out himself and they’ll find a way how to go hit that ball and I just keep throwing a few little tips in from
Here and there but again the many main thing is just to have some fun definitely saying it comes with every sport a few parents definitely get a bit too pushy on there kind I guess living their life through the kids but I’ve had my time as a kid growing up it’s my
Boy’s time now to go find his way so if he gets into golf Co but if not we’ll go and find something else what he really enjoys but at the moment he’s absolutely loving the new golf club’s on there so lots of fun ahead so we got to keep it
Fun for the kids one tip I did see padrick Harrington giving out which I’m definitely taking on board for my kid is that when we get the kids into golf when we’re having a practice session just having some fun take the kid out of that practice session before you get to the
End before they stop enjoying it that way they are wanting more they’re not leaving the session thinking I’ve had enough I’m tired they’re actually buzzing for more then at the end of the session when I’ve taken him out early even though he wants to stay we go have
A little snack a little drink and that little 10 minutes at the end is definitely where the memories are made I un didn’t have a dad around for the first 6 or seven years so no sub story out the way but I want to give all my
Time to my boys so these memories what we’re making are super super special so again just got to make it fun keep him interested but these clubs I can definitely recommend so if your child is showing signs that they want to get into golf and you’ve got the spare budget
