What are the best golf dirvers of 2024? Ryan tests out some of the 2024 drivers and picks out 6 of his favourite drivers for this year providing a full overview of each club along with some data analyis from previous testing.

Welcome to the sunshine here in the algar in Portugal we’re at kter delago Resort at the P McGinley Academy and today we’re going to bring you our favorite drivers of 2024 so some of the drivers in this list are new additions and some are drivers that were released last year as well but

We’ve run through some of our favorites when we’ve been testing them throughout the last 12 months so the first we’re going to start with is a new edition so we’ve got the QI 10 series of drivers from tailor made we were blown away with these when we tried them the difference

Between these and the stealth 2 model and stealth that have been out over the last couple of seasons is huge and certainly the looks have improved you know that kind of playing position looks better we see slightly better technology in there as well the carbon face has

Been revamped as well so the 60 layers of carbon still but with this kind of blue design little bit more forgiveness on offc Center hits as well but all in all the package here looks fantastic and the real kind of shouting Point Taylor Made have got this year is about the uh

Qi1 Max model so that 10K Moi really really forgiving that resistance to twist twisting at the max hence the name of the driver so qi1 had to be in our list again feels really really good off the face too nice and solid that kind of carbony sound and feel that you

Associate with tailor made drivers that speed pocket in there as well providing a little bit more power back into the golf ball and certainly I think looks and the overall package of this is a huge Improvement on stealth 2 if we look at the distances 280 carry versus 282

With the standard qi1 okay so we’re we’re averaging 304 and 305 respectively for both of them in terms of the height we’re seeing um Qi 10 going the highest of the three 102 ft on average and actually the max was the lowest I think more because I kept getting the face a

Bit shut I really struggled to to square the face on this driver it just seemed to want to draw all the time which I guess is is what it’s designed to do to be honest there’s so much weight in the heel of this driver for me I really

Struggled to square the face up at impact but when we compare both of these to the ls we can see a huge jump in performance okay next on our list is another new addition we have the g430 max 10K driver from ping so the g430 series came out

Last year we’ve obviously got the three models in there in the sft the Max and also the LST so suiting very different levels of golfer now the reason that the max 10K has caused so much uproar when it’s come out and and a big splash is

That that 10K Moi being so forgiving and offering that to all levels of player you would expect this driver to spin a lot because of that low deep CG and that kind of forgiveness story that ping are bringing forward with the 10K um Moi but it actually spins relatively low for a

Driver this size is really forgiving but also giving great ball speeds for those players with slightly higher Club head speeds so because of that it had to be in our list it does feel very good off the face I mean I don’t know what I was expecting

But I didn’t expect it to sound and feel quite as good as this does if I’m honest I can see again we’ve hit one there it’s got quite low spin it’s gone pretty straight um and the ball speed’s up there just short of7 7 mph so again

That’s pretty good I mean those of you that can see that just a nice little draw which is what I want to hit so everything about this driver is trying to hit straight but it’s also supposed to be quite low spin so it should kind of suit that higher Club head speed

Player now what I will say the first few shots I’ve hit with it the club head speed is a bit down on where I would normally expect it to be I don’t know whether that’s just the way I’m swinging today whether it’s just a massive size

Of the head that’s doing that I wouldn’t expect the spin for this to be too low really I mean we can see carry 285 309 pretty much total distance and 104 ft um on average where it’s it’s kind of peeking at it Apex we can see 113.5

Milph which a bit down I’m normally from swinging all right 115 11 16ish following on from the amazing success of the Paradigm family last year the Paradigm AI smoke has really hit the ground running in 2024 so a few additions to the technology we have the forge carbon so which has been improved

The AI smart face with lots of different sweet spots all over it really allowing that golfer that wants to explore the face a little bit more and doesn’t strike it that consistently to get really good ball speed and also forgiveness the looks have changed a little bit as well so we’ve got this

Kind of black carbon finish on the top there I which I think actually makes the driver look a lot better than last year’s Paradigm and the performance when we tested it in our videos was extremely good as well the one that suited me was the the best was this one the triple

Diamond uh in the 9° set down at eight I just found that the spin was a little bit lower with it and I got a bit better control so because of that Paradigm had to be in the line there’s also other models available in Max and maxd to

Really help you to tune it into all levels of golfer and make sure you’re playing your best golf with Callaway feels pretty good I mean a little bit firmer off the face than my current driver just sounds and feels a little bit harder but in terms of the sort of

Performance of it it looks pretty good so far let’s just hit another one so yeah it feels really really good off the face much more solid than uh the driver I’ve been using but we’ll have a bit of a look at the num at the end you

Can see there Triple Diamond ball speeds a little bit quicker than the other two so we’re up at 17 nearly 172 milph ball speed which is pretty good when we look at the spin we can see that um triple Diamond’s also the lowest spinning which is exactly what it’s designed to do but

In terms of distance we got um 282 with the Max D 288 pretty much with Max and 293 carry with um the triple diamond so in a list of our favorite drivers for 2024 we had to include Cobra dark speed when we tested this and when we did the

Video it was the longest driver the ls version that we’ve tested this year it absolutely blew everything away in terms of the ball speed and the distance we were getting the reason why was it was extremely low spin so whatever I did when I tested this I couldn’t get it

Over 2,000 um RPM in terms of the spin which meant I could hit it pretty hard and it was going a long way I also hit it pretty straight as well normally when the spin drops too much the kind of consistency of of hitting it down the

Fairway goes a bit but I certainly didn’t find that when hitting the dark speed LS but the X and the max models as well in this family really mean there’s a driver for everybody in there and we would obviously recommend all of you going out and get properly fitted for

These but dark speed had to be on our list it certainly feels quick off the face that is crazy didn’t even feel that good a hit it’s gone as you can see pretty straight um I’m just reading the numbers off the screen 288 carry 322 I mean that’s

That’s the longest I’ve hit so far and the ball speed it’s probably the quickest as well I’m hitting this 3272 yards average of the shots that I’ve just hit okay I’ve got some over 330 and that that’s I don’t it that far okay I I swing it around the 116 17 mph

Mark when I’m swinging it nicely and generally get ball speeds of 170 to 172 but I don’t get the spin down under 2,000 RPM and that’s exactly what I’m seeing with Cobra next is a series of drivers that is not new to the market this year but one that

Had to be on our list and it’s the TSR series from tight list the one I have here is TSR 3 which is the best model for my game but TSR 2 one and four are also available for different levels of golfer for me the tsr3 was very

Adjustable much lower Spin and launch I got much more control with it as well as the combination with the 10i uh 1K Black Shaft in there really help me control that ball flight out on the golf course and it had to be part of our list very good off the face really nice

And solid which I quite like very distinctive sound when you hit a titless golf club but just like when you hit a ping Golf Club it’s kind of that ringing louder sound that you get with tight list it’s kind of that I don’t know a nostalgic sort of sound for me really

And it kind of reminds me of some of the drivers I used when I was younger and kind of growing up playing the game and um really really like it to be honest the the sound off off the club face is something that I’ll never Tire of hearing to be

Honest not as good a strike maybe just pushed it a little bit heal it we see ball speed over 170 those of you that watch videos that I do regularly know that anything that’s above 170 for me is pretty good um and when we’re looking at

The spin down at 27 little higher than I would normally like to see there but again I think we could have some tweaks around with the driver potentially and look at that like I said before I’m using 9° which generally I wouldn’t use that much loft but you know it’s a bit

Of a play around with it I think that that might help very good off the face really nice and solid which I quite like definitely got that kind of very distinctive sound when you hit a Titus golf club just like when you hit a ping Golf Club it’s kind

Of that ringing louder sound that you get with tightness it’s kind of that I know a nostalgic sort of sound for me really and it kind of reminds me of some of the drivers I used when I was younger and kind of growing up playing the game

And um really really like it to be honest the the sound off off the club face is something that I’ll never Tire of hearing if we’re looking at carry 295 317 total that certainly Stacks up with a lot of the drivers I’ve been testing

So the QI 10 uh I think was 38 when I tested that the Paradigm AI smoke about 39ish so they’re all around that same two or three yards there so very negligible difference between all of them but you know I I would say it feels

Great off the face it feels you know a bit more forgiving than I was expecting it to another driver that was featured heavily last year was the Wilson Dino Power this is the dino power carbon also a aailable in the titanium model the pkr2 face which Wilson have improved

Really means that we get ball speed from all over the face of this driver the carbon model slightly lower spinning and launching whilst the titanium model gives that player who struggles to launch the ball a little bit more help there’s also lots of different shafts available in there at no up charge and

Wilson have really really produced a driver now that looks fantastic performs fantastic and also at slightly better price point than many out there on the market definitely feels like it has that bit of carbon in there and you’ll know if you’ve hit one before um that’s a fairly

Carbon heavy head if you like it does sound a little bit different it sounds a little bit D two and a half just over 2 and a half thousand RPM in terms of the ball speed we’re getting it it’s pretty good and it kind of Compares quite

Nicely to the carbon model as well so 169 miles an hour 284 carry pretty much 306 total distance and you performance- wise very very good so hopefully you’ve enjoyed our little rundown of some of our favorite drivers on the market for 2024 we always recommend that you go and get custom
