[Applause] this is great to get the uh the first profession win is awesome you know kind of get the the monkey off my back I guess and hopefully it’ll be you know for some bigger things to come this year the 15th now Sheffer for Eagle what a

Run he’s making today start of the day at one under and now nine under for the tournament eight under in his round today showing why he has a bright future on the PGA tour the ninth now sheffler for birdie that’s in a great position straight up the

Hill and this is the strength of his game right there one of the best Putters on this tour is wonderful with that club hits it long those the if you’re looking for a prescription to make it to the PGA Tour length and good putting will pretty much do it cheer 16

Oh I love this multi-dimensional play low Checker oh that is old school love that shot how about that in relation to Alex Checker carry to go a up at 10 Sheffer for Birdie the difficult PA three playing down wind and coming off that triple bog that’s a nice little two give a little

Bump Once you turn back into the wind 11 through 15 fine basically on in Sheffer 12 get one guy get back there oh that is magnificent for an unlikely birdie great approach was magnificent and that’s just the third Birdie on the day here at the 12th playing close to half a shot over

Bar Sheffer for birdie been an inconsistent day three birdies four Bogies in a triple oh had another birdie to it four birdies four Bogies how about that that’s beaten the field average which is about 76 right here in the third round now to the green at 12 Scotty sheffler this for birdie to

Get to8 under and with him one of haggy this guy is a great putter oh right on Q Craig he his ball rolls as good as anybody on tour now sheffler yeah actually flight at this kind of low I like it skip it up there

Oh that just to me that shows a lot Tri this to move to four under par three behind hoblin and Percy who have yet to tea off in the second round made it look easy as he’s done for much of 2019 on the coin fairy tour over the 17th now and

Sheffler so only missed a couple greens today do not miss this one to the right that hole cut way back in the right hand corner oh what an aggressive play and look how softly he was able to get that to land that’s an advantage of strength big old tall

Guy pull within one well done Scotty shler already headed to the PGA Tour already has a good has a good priority ranking trying to preserve that P of 13 Sheffer now this is very high looks to oh that landed in the right spot looks like oh it sure

Did nice that’s a great chance for birdie there for [Applause] shler and out of the right that’s a good line hit right into the up slope little left it’s a good learner obviously went to the University of Texas that’s some smart people over there Phil at 18

Sheffer his second 153 niron in hand wi in two ever so slightly out of the right boy this is exactly where it needs to be right in the middle of the green man is he got everything in control trip thinking the physical side of it Scotty Sheffer a 23-year-old Texas

Longhorn a win a couple of seconds and statistically speaking first in the allaround first in ball striking birdie average birdie Aletta percentage this year’s winner of the Evans Scholars Invitational played as college golf at Texas from Dallas please welcome Scotty sheer he’s got a score on average

69.4 what we saw is putting early in the Bahamas he mentioned how impressive the putting was and then now the the physical Acumen the guy that 63210 now Sheffer for birdie uh whether Scott knows or not uh his caddy Scotty mcginness asked me he said what is

Brandon doing behind us and I said he didn’t chip in for par so whether he told Scotty or not I do not know but uh you got to think Scotty likes his chances of getting this one in in and the way things have gone for him today I

Wouldn’t be surprised if he made it and there’s a huge leader board there to the right so basically staring right at it just smartly played never really in trouble today on a on a day that was difficult With The Wind in this golf course to go out and shoot 67 impressive

Stuff back to back rounds of 67 on the weekend sheer into 12 under so unless Brandon haggy hols out his second at 18 Scotty Sheffer will be a two-time winner on the corn fairy tour has Sheffer done enough likely yes that we haven’t seen anyone within 15 ft of

That whole location with the wind great job great job where that whole location is and what a what a week for him to win his second win he and I Shar a had a former friend James Reagan who passed away from Oso saroma a number of years

Ago and for him to win here at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship with this ties to Children’s Cancer and all sorts of children’s ailments it’s a certainly has to be a poignant win for him in more ways than one and I’m sure at some point tonight he’ll be thinking about James

He’s Associated himself with James’s Foundation triumph over kid cancer so what a great moment for Scotty sheff how conscious of you were where you were at on the leaderboard coming down the stretch uh usually very conscious I I check the leader boards where they were

And there’s a lot out there so I had a I had a good idea of what Where I Stood and um what I needed to do how freely did it allow you to play knowing that you already locked up a PGA Tour card it’s very freeing you know this is a

Stressful time of year for a lot of guys and it’s nice to be able to play without that that stress and those thoughts in the back of your head you know Scott and I talked about that a lot today which was which was good it’s it’s nice to

Have that that that Locked Up Scotty Sheffer 23 years of age from the University of Texas eight top 10 this season two times a runner up and a win at the scholar Invitational Scotty’s heading off to the PGA tour for the first time
