Uh how is this going to work out how is this going to play out what are we about to witness yet again over in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Fight Night host Adam Catal joins us live Adam good afternoon to you mate what what’s your your thought leading up to

This afternoon gentlemen what’s my thought leading up to this um I suppose if you’re a traditionalist you look at this and you think this is absolutely Bonkers what is going on that a guy that has only ever had one boxing match in his life lost it he’s now fighting the

Former Olympic gold medalist and two-time unified heavyweight world champion but I take a lot of noise from the Casual audience like on the on the school running in the morning the mums and dads stopping me and having a conversation with him about certain things when I take my boy to his

Football at the weekend people stopping me wanting to talk about it everybody seems to be talking about this fight on Friday night it really has captured the imagination of the mainstream rather than the hardcore definitely the mainstream wow I mean has it captured the imagination more Adam than Fury and who

Did uh I think so and that is obviously from off the back of The Narrative of what happened in that particular fight we’ve all seen the images of Tyson Fury being on the seat of his pants off the back of a guy making his professional boxing debut I think a lot of people

Going into that and I’m absolutely one of them thought the fight was an absolute circus Fury will turn up he’ll School him and then we’ll move on towards the Undisputed fight um that wasn’t to be the case and I think in garu even though he didn’t win on the

Cards he comes out with a lot of stock and that’s why we end we end in this situation on Friday I think he’s kind of here by default as well by the way because I think this was supposed to be wilder an AJ H but Wilder dropped the

Ball on December the 23rd and therefore turkey alake the man that is making it happen in Saudi Arabia is he’s kind of reacting to how things go along and he’s he’s put Francis andaru in in this situation Simon are you in the school of thought that

Joshua when you look at him when you see where he’s at at this point in his career could give a boxing lesson to in ganu and Win It comfortably should not could should I mean we are I mean ultimately everyone knows that in ganu can fight there’s no dispute the fact

That he can fight but you’re talking about going in and with somebody that should be able to have the skill set to do a number on him whether he can knock him out because the fell can take big shots and then we’ve seen him and he’s a

Physical specimen and we saw him against a very poor version of Tyson Fury my attitude towards it it all is I do I can’t help it maybe it’s me being mean spirit I do feel it’s an embarrassment for the heavyweight division in terms of you’ve got the two arguably usyk to one

Side for the second greatest heavy weights around that are fighting a novice that’s fought one fight in the in a boxing ring and has been out for 18 months and has had a knee rebuild and all that doesn’t get priced into the equation I understand why it’s happening

I understand there’s a possibility that Anthony Joshua Treads the path that Tyson Fury’s trod and Treads it better bashes up Wallen whereas Fury had all kinds of problems with with him deals with inaru doesn’t get into the same circumstances that Fury got into but for me I’m not trying to be too pompous

About it I do look at it and go how do have we got to a position that the WBC heavyweight champion in the world goes in after not fighting anyone of any significance for a significant period of time the WBC tell us they can’t put oon

An opponent up it’s a fury fights in garu and now we’ve got Anthony Joshua doing the same thing so whilst it has Intrigue it’s a bit like watching Doctor Who when you’re a kid you find yourself peering over the top of the sofa not really enjoying it but looking at the horrors of

It I think a lot of people to be honest will think the way Simon thinks about it h Adam I I kind of reluctant well I watch but I’m not really sure why I think the boxing hardcore absolutely agree with Simon because they’re com at it from a sporting angle what’s the

Sporting Merit of all of this and sadly boxing is a business and that’s what people are doing like exactly what Simon just said regarding the WBC allowing Tyson Fury to go a length of time without defending his belt and having a non-title fight last year against

Francis enanu was an absolute fce it was but they did it because they’re following the money where the money the money’s in in Saudi Arabia they get a certain percentage when Tyson Fury fights because he pays his sanctioning fees and they want to be involved in the biggest fights the biggest fight

Hopefully is coming in May when he fights Alexander usk everything will be on the line there and all those sanctioning bodies will be taking the their 3% so that’s why we’re ending up in this situation people are following the door and what Simon just said there is again right because and on record

Referring to certain fights as War lger for a long period of time the heavyweight division was dead nobody’s watching it nobody’s paying attention to it if you look at pay-per-view numbers they’re significantly dropping especially in America people in America where it was once the home of the heavyweight boxing Extravaganza they’re

Not watching it anymore so you’ve got to try and reinvigorate fan interest and what has happened from Saudi Arabia’s point of view is that they’re going for events they’re going for these big circus showcases I suppose and hopefully off the back of that the aians come they

Show interest and then when we get to May we’ll get a proper fight on our hands there can I ask what what what happens if enanu knocks Joshua out to Joshua and what happens with enanu does he then fight the winner of Fury yusk yeah H to the second part of that

Question um turkey alake the man that he’s making all this happen has said listen the winner of this will be fighting the winner of the Undisputed fight in May so if T if Francis enanu beat Anthony Joshua in any way shape or form on Friday he will be fighting the

Winner of Fury versus usyk um not any mandatory challenges then that go above and gar well yeah absolutely and this is probably where Simon’s at regarding the farce of it um from from a boxing point of view I think boxing does need a shakeup it does need to reinvigorate

Itself and it does need to reaal itself to to a new audience and sometimes Ma mandatories and various things like that aren’t necessar even though from a sporting Merit point of view they are the right thing to do they aren’t necessarily the thing that captures the imagination of the fan what

The fan wants are the best people fighting the best people what we want ideally is Anthony Joshua to come through on Friday Tyson Fury or Alexander it doesn’t really matter on that case to win that fight and Anthony Joshua to fight the winner of it because

Then you will be getting yeah a best versus best scenario at some point later on the you you you know yourself when it comes to MMA you you you know the individuals in there in ganu uh again for those who don’t know and need reminding what’s he got that might make

You think yeah he can do this in Friday he’s a special individual and and this is so so hard because when you speak to people that know boxing about crossover fights like this they are right when they use logic and they said nobody should be able to walk in off the street

And beat an Olympic gold medalist two-time unified heavyweight world champion shouldn’t happen but Francis zanu is an anomaly he’s he’s a freak conne this guy everybody knows his story from where he’s been in the sand mines to where he got to in the UFC but it’s the story within the UFC that’s even

More interesting because his first attempt to becoming world champion was a disaster he was a he was rubbish he’s gone away he’s reinvented himself he’s developed his skills and over a period of eight years remember this guy only put gloves on at 26 years of age man

It’s mental what he’s done yeah and then he got to the Top by beating the very best statistically UFC heavyweight champion he’s gone up as Simon says he’s had obviously NE uh reconstruction surgery on on his knee but in that period of time he hasn’t done any MMA

Concentrated solely on boxing he’s gone in with Tyson Fury many people think he beat Tyson Fury on that night and now he faces Anthony Joshua he is a freaking AG to this guy what he showed us in the fury fight is’s that he’s got decent boxing fundamentals got a good jab he

Punches when you punch so his timing’s very good he held his form quite well and he boxs Southport he hasn’t done that in MMA nobody saw that coming anybody that was backing him in the first fight thought that he had a punches chance but what he showed is

That he can actually box a bit it’s going to be really interesting on Friday night to see what approach he uses whether he uses the same approach that he used at Tyson in the Tyson Fury fight or he reverts back to what he used to do

In MMA and tries to M Anthony Joshua because that’s the big thing isn’t it the question over Joshua is can he handle it when someone puts it on him well enanu can put it on you trust me the guy is a big old unit and if he and

If he streaks this is a three four round fight yeah it could it could be Carnage on Friday Adam terrific thank you very much indeed Adam cro Fight Night host so tune in Friday from 9 knockout chaos Josh warington will be around for that um it’s Joshua of course against nanu

From Saudi Arabia you can join Adam Spencer Oliver and Josh for the live watch along on the talk sport Boxing YouTube channel or listen live via daab your Alexa or talk sports app

  1. Bottom line is BELTS don’t hold weight in boxing like in the 70s, 80s, 90s etc the landscape has evolved. It’s all about money fights and PPV buys.

Scrap all the belts and have one belt per weight class.

  2. Francis ain’t really a novice he’s boxed before for a few years he’s a fighter,I’m backing AJ all day but Simon no mater who AJ fights will nit pick at it,further more what there forgetting is,AJ was planned to fight wilder but wilder lost,so the SA people asked AJ to fight Francis & get him gone (SA people actually want AJ to get Francis gone) & wen fury fought Francis fury is a champion & has a belt so fury was holding up the division,AJ at present don’t have no belts so after defending his belts for so many years fighting all his mandatories i think AJ can take a fight like this & get another big payday…again Simon,AJ don’t have no belts AJ don’t so for once he can fight who ever he want, had wilder done his part & won we’d be seeing AJ wilder

  3. How do you know it was a poor Tyson fury.. you can’t say that unless you’ve seen him in multiple fights.

  4. I always see a ā€˜top lad proper clobber’ quote around Simon Jordan. Can anyone tell me where that’s from?

  5. Simon you didnt say its an embarrassment when Tyson Fury fought Ngannou, why the hate for Joshua???? The white fighter can make the money thats okay lets promote but when a black man is making the same choices, all of a sudden its an embarrassment

  6. Ngannou did not put gloves on at 26, he was fighting even in cameroon, he was meant to be in Cameroon Olypic boxing team at 19

  7. AJ said Francis ngannou was on the Cameroon boxing team. So people saying he's never put on a pair of boxing gloves before are wrong

  8. If HW boxing wasn't so boring and corrupt it wouldn't need someone from outside of the sport to make it appealing.
Well done Francis for showing these fools up

  9. At the start, I honestly didn’t want to watch the Fury v Ngannou fight, but I ended up watching it and I’m glad I did. Now I’m genuinely looking forward to the Joshua v Ngannou fight šŸ¤·šŸ»

  10. Nganou ain’t a novice. He’s been training boxing for some time and was on the the Cameron boxing team from a young age. (Apparently) probably true. Hes also got the standup combat from the mma

  11. Watch glodstien show ,he's deciding between Southgate and basel brush ,plastic manc is loved by chelsea fans

  12. I am over 80 and I want to fight Simon Jordan. I was 30 years old when Simon was but a twinkle in his father's eye and if he thinks he's tough and that he's a man then he needs to fight me.

  13. Simon Jordan is the realest man on UK tv and radio. Without a doubt. He is like UK's answer to Teddy Atlas. Calls a spade a spade. Respect.
Everybody else are just sell-outs and say the opposite answer of what the world knows, even when it does not make any sense, just to create chaos and get views. Massive respect for Jordan, my first impression of him was that he was an arrogant pr!ck, but how wrong I was.

  14. I agree with an earlier remark about MMA folks carrying a bit of currency into boxing, but only at heavyweight. I don't think a lightweight or welterweight MMA would be able to lay a glove on Devin Haney or 'Bud' Crawford.

  15. So glad to get yet another take from the great boxing guru that is Simon Jordan. A top brawler back in the day who fought everyone and won it all.

  16. Wow….Some Salty Individuals Here!!!šŸ˜‚

I am a hardcore boxing fan and I am excited to see this fight….

Nganu put Fury in his ass so it’s up to Joshua to SAVE BOXING!!!!

  17. These guys are so off the pace. People are interested in the AJ Ngannau fight because of the unknown, was the fury fight a whole lot of luck? Probably but we’ll find out now. It’s more interesting than the wilder fight at the moment.

  18. Boxing ring is now a circus šŸŽŖ full of 🤔 🤔 – money šŸ’° over respect for the sport

    ——Shambolic——

  19. TERRIBLE "analysis". Joshua vs. Fury is "the best of the best" – really? what about Usyk?
MMA 'coming off the street'. This isn't hockey vs rugby. These arent COMPLETELY different sports

  20. The boxing hardcore love this fight it’s the unknown with ngannou and a lot of fans want him to win 🄊

  21. I consider myself a very old school fight fan. Hate the idea that Saudi is taking all our big shows away from us, hate misfits, hate the money in poor HW fights, hate that politics and finance stops the fights that should be made, hate no accountability for fighters that juice, hate it all, but I’ve taken the evening off work for thisšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø makes no sense on paper but I’m intrigued. Simon Jordon really has nothing new or interesting to say, he just tries to be controversial to be heard.

  22. If AJ wins this easily then Fury is shot to bits. If AJ loses both him and Fury are shot to bits.

  23. It is a joke.
They have taken boxing away from the people that loved it.
I couldn't care less and would never pay a single solitary penny to watch this crap.

  24. Who remembers when boxers had an actual career.
    British title
    European
    Commonwealth
World title shot.. if you won …your the champ.. if you lost you faded into memory to be replaced by new fighters.
    WTF happened
Are there only 6 heavyweight fighters on the planet šŸ˜…

šŸ˜† … that doctor who analogy is close to the truth

  25. Simon Jordan is a clickbait coward. He's a mobile phone salesman, who gives 2 shits about his opinion on anything apart from fake tan.

  26. Boxing wouldn't be so corrupt if it was an actually sport. It's a business. We don't get the best vs the best very often in Boxing, but meanwhile in MMA….

  27. what is an ambarrassment, is that fact that a "novice" schooled the linear world champion who turned up looking like a bag of shite. Its not Ngannous fault that the heavyweight scene is way under-par (with the exception of just 2-possibly 3 fighters). 99% of the best heavyweight fights are now found in the 80's and 90's archives. I say good luck to Ngannou, but still think AJ has too much for him.
