We have a brand that’s been resurrected from the dead and had a huge cult following in the 9s and it’s back baby today we’re talking about probably the most important thing you need to be fitted for but let almost 81% of the PO golf population does not get it for get

Fitted for and that’s Putters so we’re going to go through a putter fitting system talk about the new brand never compromise and why it’s so important to get fitted and we’re going to show you how with their their setup you can custom fit and build you a putter that

You can leave and walk out the door with in 10 minutes let’s go okay guys don’t forget if you’re in Denver metro area and you want to come in and get fit for a never compromised putter you can do that go on our website shoot us an email a text make sure one

Of us are here we can get your fitted dialed in for a putter before you leave but not only that we can get you balls we can get you a set for a set of on irons we can get you a driver some wedges Putters we have it all here

Really you can email us right here info@ Embers golf.com um and then you can call or text us right here Tate Tate and I will personally be the ones responding to you yeah all right so talk to me about never compromise yeah so it was do you want me

To talk to you about it or are you going to talk about it please I was just going to say like Trevor said 81% of golfers don’t get fit for the club you hit the most yeah so I read a statistic um 61% of the PO golf population gets

Fitted for drivers which still isn’t enough that needs to be at 100% for $600 driver yeah it does um 19% of the golf population gets fitted for Putters that one guaranteed needs to be at 100% y so those specs are backwards because how many strokes you

Use with a putter I mean a good putter is hitting in the high 20s on a good day a really good putter most people are putting in the 40s yeah high 30s High that’s half your Strokes oh yes should you get fit for something on that you

Use for literally half of your shots absolutely you should so but talk to me about the actual uh technology of never compromis not the fitting part but what are they so they were essentially around before Scotty Cameron yeah they’ve been around for a long time they’re going to

Be like a m face very true very smooth Putter and that’s their goal which is obviously the big brands do that we got Scotty Cameron we got the Ping series um lot of them want that mil pure look which is exactly in feel which is what never compromise does yep and so they

Were kind of like the OG Scotty Cameron in the 9s and that’s why they had such a cool cult following and essentially are any of these unwrapped let’s unwrap one of these so we can give you guys a good look at home and this was sort of their

Um what’s it like trademark color so they weren’t like all silver like Scotty but they sort of had the black and white stripes twoone I opened up a lefty um but I kind of like I like the black and silver myself yeah I think it’s a good

Look yeah it sets them apart from all Tay hates it when I do that from all the other mil face Putters is having a two-tone so solid mil putter then we also have a waiting system which we’re going to talk about the F yeah do you

Want to do that now or do you want to talk about that no we’ll talk about that in the in the fitting but let’s go through their fitting process on the screen here then we’re going to build one Tate and I are going to actually get fit ourselves for Putters and build our

Putters because you know since we have a a full bag of every brand this needs to go in our strion bag because if you look up here look how got added to the Srixon website never compromise as part of the Srixon family which we’ll talk about in

The Fitting process all right let’s go so the Srixon family bought out never compromise a while ago and that’s why we said it’s been resurrected because they sort of buried it took the never compromised technology and used it in their Cleveland HP soft putter systems yeah basically but they didn’t like

Fully use and functionalize the full fitting system that was part of that family system so we’re going to walk you through what makes them so unique and I think they’re the only brand where you can get cut and Fit For A putter with their fitting system that you can

Actually leave with same day now that’s huge that’s huge that’s monstrous so essentially there’s four aspects to a putting fitting system that are important stroke tip okay so you have stroke type like Trevor said when you’re on their main page picking out your head look what’s up

There so two different and this would apply to all putter Brands but Putters out there either putt straight back and straight forward or they have a Arc kind of Arc back and Arc forward like that so those are the two putting Strokes that you have mm so

What we need to figure out is whether you’re a straight back or an arch type now the way we fit for that it’s really simple so all we need to do is take a simple alignment stick grab any putter all right now watch and just go just do

Your normal putting stroke look at that see I went inside that yeah what’s comfortable you’re not manipulating don’t manipulate it just do your natural putting stroke so I’m an arc putting stroke are you straight back straight in I’m I’m not as arked as you you still have an arc I

Still have a very slight Arc see like right there I’m on the outside and I finish on the inside so tow hang is when we go like this and we balance a putter how much does the toe hang down so what to hang what is that how much does that

One hang that’s going to be face balance cuz face Bal so it’s almost zero so we you would want a face balance putter when we’re straight back straight through yep okay now here’s another example now here’s a slant neck and this one’s probably 30 to 45 so

That’s an aggressive tow hang and then there’s some Putters you know that are like that which is crazy I kind of like more like a 45° that seems close to me I don’t know the exact number but essentially what happens is is when we have an arc stroke and we need that tow

Hang what we’re naturally closing the club face yeah right so if we have a face B balance putter we’re going to come through face balance with no weight in the toe and we’re going to pull a lot of putts because we’re going to be closing the face because there’s nothing kind of

Lagging that face open as as our as our stroke to get it back Clos so that’s the first step and what you can also go the opposite of that so if you have a club that’s tow hang and you have a straight stroke then you’re going to be pushing A

Lot of putts because the the toe is lagging behind yeah all right Tate says I have worse handwriting but step one figure out tow hang number two I’m going to go with head shape now this is kind of subjective right Tate why is this subjective because it it’s more so what

Suits your eye so for instance um Trevor uses Lex the look over a blade a little bit more I kind of prefer a blade but I also feel like I’m much steadier with a mallet now that might be true because a mallet is more for but it’s more so what

You like and feel confident standing over shapewise for example here’s one of the Cobra mallets and even if it’s a really well performing putter I just can’t over get over the way it looks it’s like a Volkswagen on a club head and like you’re literally staring down at the

Putter for half of your round you’re staring at this thing that’s why they call it a frying pan and then you got this which is the mauno mil Club Putter and it’s just a niceo mil Club putter yeah sorry I messed that up mil putter so head shape

Can also affect toe weight a little bit Yeah but tow hang is really based off of your hosle essentially so the shape of the hosle can manipulate the tow hang the shape can as well but then establish what head shape you want that’s going to be our third step now our second step

Now our third step and the most important and this this is where the Never Compromise system really sweet it’s bread and butter MH and that’s going to be putter length so here’s our fitting equipment for figuring out the right putter length but before I do before I show you this

It essentially Works off of Pythagorean theorem all right so think about Pythagorean theorem talk to me about py Pythagorean theorem Tate you always ceue me up on a point that you want to talk about is this is this one mine yeah Pythagorean theorem is what s cosine and

Tangent figuring out the the the hypotenuse of a triangle It Means A S Plus B = c^2 so s cosine and tangent is for not right triangles I think I don’t know you’re losing me on the cosine stuff you’ll have to comment below if I’m right on that I’m I’m pretty sure I

Am s cosine and tangent is like not right triangles the right triangle is the distance from your hands to the ground right yep where your toes are sit and then from your toes to the middle of the putter face so those are the two measurements we can figure out yeah very

Easily you just put a measure on the ground yes right now we don’t that’s not even a question Mar is that that’s a z I’m I’m just stressed all right you want me to write no so right now let’s say we can figure this this out let’s say this was three

Let’s say this was four Pythagorean theorem in theory can tell us this which is going to be the length of the putter shaft so if we just did it manually 3 S is 9 right plus 4 S 16 is 16 = c^2 so 9 + 16 is going to be 25 mhm so

25 = c^2 if we Square < TK 25 that means 5 = C so we know that to get a right triangle this measurement would be five from doing our Pythagorean theorem yeah okay so what we got Trevor here is we have him in his comfortable putting Position we have his hands in an athletic but a comfortable spot and his eyes are looking down over this mirror and we really every player is going to be slightly different but the general rule of thumb is to be over the 10 Mark so Trevor is your are your eyes there y Are your hands nice and comfortable you feel like you're in a good athletic position yep so right there you are at 34 1/2 in okay so if we were doing a fitting on Trevor right now he's got his hands in a nice comfortable position we've established his Club head he wants We've established what his swing his Arc or non-arc straight putting stroke is and now we know he needs a 34 1/2 in putter so what we would do I know this is the putter I want so all of the putters come uncut at 38 in we're going to go cut this and Grip this mhm but there's still one more step after that we have to do well let's pick out your putter too all right so that's the putter you're going with yeah so I'm going to go the blade you like the two-tone also I do like the two-tone All right let's see what length you need all right so let's loosen this bad boy up a little bit almost 34 and 1/2 do that feel right yeah you like your hands low on the grip I do like my hands I like my hands at the at the very Bottom of the grip okay so now we need to pick out grips now this is a little more subjective there's no right or wrong in general when I have a lot of tow hang there are recommendations on here for what putter head goes with what grip length yep or not grip length butri Fatness I'm and this is fatness or thickness let's call thickness I'm a little part I like thinnies mhm what about you I I same yeah just personally I just I feel like I lose the feel of the putterhead in too big a grip yeah so I'm going to put a thin one on There are recommendations thin me yeah thin me in the hand okay let's go build our Putters so not only are the shafts unfinished but it also has a really easy chart so you don't even have to mark it or Sharpie it or anything it's all marked on what the Length is so easy peasy you kind with the saw or by hand uh I this is much easier to cut it with but since they provide us with this guy it's pretty much same as the pipe cutter yeah all right might as well use this one let's Try it when I'm doing this for anybody that comes in the store I will not be doing I'll be just throwing it on them on the saw okay so you have all your measurements here I came in at 34 1/2 so there's my line I'll put the m not the Machine but this tool cut the shaft get it lined up on there and we'll be good to go and and then what you do is you just spin this guy and after you go around a couple of times and you tighten it that's all she wrote there it is 34 And 1/2 in putter ready to grip okay here we go that's one of my biggest pet peeves when we order Putters in and the grips come in just cockeyed a little bit from the manufacturer I don't like it just like that mine's ready to roll okay here we Go let me see give her a look see if it's straight yeah she's straight nice well there you have it okay now the last step and most crucial part waiting and we're going to talk why waiting is so important let's go okay so you mentioned it earlier the last step is getting the Weights correct now what makes weighting what's going to fluctuate with different weights so we've all I think it's one of the biggest no no in golf and it happens all the time one of our buddies even last year bought a brand new $500 Scotty Cameron and he's like yeah I needed a 35 Which I don't even know if he knew if he actually does need a 35 cuz I don't know if he went through this fitting system right and he's like yeah they only had 34s but they just epoxied 1 in on the end of the golf club and and went that Way just threw an an extension yeah that is humongous no no and you should never do that cuz people are like I don't need to get fit it I'll just shorten or lengthen it what that does is every great putter is all about feel right they're not like with a regular Golf Club we're literally forcing it we're muscling it yeah this is 100% feel and so essentially the weight affects the feel of a putter we essentially want it working like a perfect pendulum where the golf club or the weight of the head is doing all the work of feel we're just Guiding it if it's too heavy we're we're not going to have any feel we're going to feel like we're going to have to yeah launching the ball like a million miles if it's too light then we're going to have to start to feel like we're having to like force Hammer it the shorter the putter the heavier the weighting system and what's really cool is our our waiting system here really tells us what weights to put in the putter based on what length so I was at 342 but I'm right on the edge of a nope I'm just going to stick to what they tell me so these are kind of nice fancy while Trevor is getting his weights in I fell in that same category 342 so it's calling for 15 G weights in mine the other thing you'll notice is tour guys sometimes will play different Weights depending on where they're at so high wind areas they might go a little bit heavier slightly just to give stability to the putter head um so you can take that into effect too depending on what weather you paying okay so there we go so I got 2 15 G weights in mine Trevor's got two in his so in theory we have 30 G of weight in both of ours we think about like a brand like Scotty usually they range from like 20 to 25 yeah they go lighter too but I think the most important thing is this station It's the only place you can go to and literally leave with a fully functional fitted putter in the time we made this video and I shanked it no redo it give me a new putter tape okay let's just put the steel back on how does that length feel feels good I normally don't play a 34 and 1/2 in putter so I'm just trusting the device you know having a blade putter is different cuz right now I play a mallet a blade is definitely just a heavier piece of mass there at the bottom but if you want to Just take your existing Putter and go lengthen it or shorten it don't do that unless it has something that can adjust the weights how's it feel good it's rolling true mean it's just a it feels like of just a very solid mil putter face Just so you guys know we can do this for you with other brands yeah but we may not have the uncut system where you can leave with it you know we can always order you something like let's say you want a Odyssey or mauno putter a spider We we can come in and we can fit you using this device but it might not it might not necessarily be in stock the exact specs you need matter what putter you have when you can go like this that's true although I don't think you're allowed to use your hands I don't Think you're allowed to do that on in in golf so yeah okay so when we think about the main steps to this system what was it again oh shoot our three main steps to this system four main steps you write them down okay our four main steps what Do we got so to conclude you need to figure out your putting stroke type so number one is what putting stroke do you have if we know how much tow hang we need step one all right step two is head shape and that's just more subjective to what Suits the eye what are you comfortable with what's going to help you play better aesthetically number three and this is the whole essence of Never Compromise is going to be putter length because if we're not square if we're not creating a square triangle we're going to be pushing and Pulling putts that's why that square triangle is so important cuz it's going to allow us to square the club face as consistently as possible if you're in the wrong putter length you're not going to be able to do that consistently and number four the putter weight so you Have the best feel for Speed all right so we basically number three or four and really important because we have alignment and we have speed or feel yeah that's going to stop three putts from happening so do yourself a favor don't be one of the 81% of the population be The 19% of the population let's get that number up and go get fitted for goodness sakes go get fitted for go get fitted and we know share in the comment section below there are so many things that you can dive into with a putter as far as Like your dominant eye there are so many little intricacies and that takes a pro to find all of that kind of stuff which we can help you with here as well but this is just an introduction to get people into the right equipment which we're begging you for the the club you Hit the most make sure it fits you this is going to save you way more Strokes than that driver you got fitted for sometimes the driver will cost you Strokes if you're in the wrong Club well they all will yeah all right we'll see you guys next time thanks for watching

  1. I’m “6 foot on dating apps” or if you wanna be technical 5’6” on the west coast on a leap year. Whats my putter shaft length?

  2. Geometry lessons in a putter review. I knew I got a C+ in Mr.Halls Geometry class back in 95 for a reason 😂 awesome stuff gentlemen

  3. Sorry guys but I personally think putters are the biggest waste of money in the bag, most people can putt with anything, it just takes practice like everything, I'm using an old ping answer putter and because I've used it since I started (2 years) I know where the sweet spot is on it, I've even seen old guys using mini putt putters and dropping long putts.

  4. Love your videos and also never compromise. I’ve had over 100 putters and I will say that everything is so personal with a putter. Trying out different necks, shapes, lengths, face materials, grips and swing weights is so important.
