Hello and welcome everybody to 1969 in 1969 somewhere in some dungeon underground somewhere with a slide rule an engineer was designing this this was patented in 1969 the L blade putter as you all know while that was going on slide rule dark dungeon probably a candle or some gas

Look and talk about identifying features it is pretty easy to identify ping L blade questions I mean the hle structure alone gives it away but this is different from the answer in that in this cavity right here there is no zip code so with the answer style Putters

You can identify it say what year it was made based on the ZIP code that you find here in the cavity this does not have any zip code it has a patent number it was patented in 1969 so it was a 1969 era putter but it’s not going to give you away give

Away what year it was made okay so that said this particular one is an older one around the 1969 era the thing that sets this apart obviously you know it’s more narrow than like the ayd it has a similar like Zing style ayd my day style like rounded cavity here toe heel

Weighted a little alignment line on top kind of that blade right here the thinner blade portion right here you can see that the toe profile gets thinner up top it looks pretty good at a dress little offset here the face No Nonsense same with the sole you know this was back when Putters

Were used for putting and not just to look good in somebody’s bag so there’s no reason to have text or decoration down here on the sole because that’s not what you’re going to look at when you’re putting very it’s a very golfers putter here like we already discussed the huzzle structure how it’s

Way off here hence the L looks like a hockey stick and then moving up the Ste shaft there is a label which uh I can’t read it’s completely worn through this is my sticker I just put on here to remind me of the year and there’s a

Newer ping grip not original to the putter but it’s a ping grip let’s see what it says right here it says Golf Pride USA ping that’s all it says on this particular grip which is not original so either way let’s move this over to the putting green and I’m going

To hit a few putts with this and tell you how it feels looking down at this the first thing that comes to attention is how far off the heel that shaft is like it is not you know it’s yeah looks very clean because you can see the whole

Blade and so that Center alignment line looks very centered because you can see the whole the whole club so pretty interesting I don’t know if I can it doesn’t feel like really twisty I don’t know if I hit it out of the center in the center of gravity it

Shouldn’t twist just because it’s way off the shaft a little pacy but the alignment was good on that one it feels like a really you know and again I’ve been hitting a lot of Ping Putters my whole life so kind of used to The brillium Copper sound and feel so it feels very

Predictable surp I’m surprised I I don’t really much like the look of this putter but as a putter it feels very capable uh to me this has just got to be one of the worst looking Ping Putters see it bounced off the ball that was already in there that was a good

Pup yeah I what is it about this that just looks so wrong I can see the whole blade is that a bad thing I think I’m just not used to it I need to just like in order to give it a fair review I’d have to play it for like three months

And then get back to you but it’s very capable but there’s something that just feels off about it to my eye I want your opinion like what is it about this is it that the shaft is so far off the club face and is it wrong

To see the whole club face maybe there’s something to that I I can’t put my finger on it right now this actually feels really good to hit it does have some and this is a very loose comparison it does have some semblance of a McGregor Iron Master putter right

The Spalding Hollow back uh Wilson 8802 style putter just because the shaft is all the way back towards the heel so when you look at it it kind of reminds me slightly of those Putters but it’s funny the name to L putter what it’s like left right my boy was running down

Then there are other cars okay I liken these to like modern Putters these premium brands that are charging hundreds and hundreds of dollars for their it’s like their trendy you know hot Putters nowadays it’s like to me and this happened to me in Minnesota okay just imagine one night you know it’s
