In the opening round of the 2024 Chubb Classic, Rocco Mediate went out and carded a 9-under par round of 63 to take an early 3-shot lead heading into the weekend.

PGA TOUR Champions heads to The Black Course at Tiburón Golf Club in Florida this week for the Chubb Classic. Steven Alker will be looking to win three straight PGA TOUR Champions events after winning the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at the end of 2023 and the opening event of the 2024 season at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. 2023 runner-up Padraig Harrington tees it up this week alongside a host of other stars, including four-time Major winner Ernie Els, 12-time winner on the PGA TOUR, Steve Stricker and big-hitting fan favorite, John Daly.
