I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my channel where you can learn how to play the best golf of your life. Whether you are an expert golfer looking for a quick swing tune-up or a beginner looking to play better. I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing coach is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My goal for you is to have the most fun of your life playing golf. You’ll be hitting farther, straighter, and playing better golf by watching these videos. What are you waiting for, let’s get started!
And there’s no power in Rolling the hands I’ll give you a classic example non-golf example but just imagine if you were going to hit something with a like a forehand here tennis like or you’re going to slap your hand against the wall right if you’re going to bang that hand
To a wall would you try and turn your hand to bang your hand to the wall it’s not really powerful I’m wasting speed but the most power think like karate style you are boom Bruce leing into that wall and the most force of applied explosion mic drop in
Golf we do the same thing I’m not going to try and roll my hands because I’m losing speed and I’m losing control instead I’m going to keep the hands quiet so my face is always pointing at the Target and this means that I can start the ball straight and I can do
That every single time

I’m starting to get the hang of keeping the ball straight but how do I increase my distance and ball speed while still keeping that same direction
No power in rolling your forearms? Couldn’t disagree more!! And so would just about every great player from Jones to Woods. It’s the way a swing works, lag the shaft and time the release against a firm left side. Or as Ian Woosman says “crack the whip.” Why leave out the one of the most explosive parts of the swing? Show me 5 players who cut off their follow through on a full shot and I’ll show you a 100 that don’t. Not sure you thought this through.
One other thing the hottest ground stroke in tennis is cross court forehand and think about the action of the forearm. The roll the forearm.
Dude I just clicked on your site!! Oh my gosh you’re breaking down Couples, loving his action, and who doesn’t, then you come up with don’t roll your forearms? Freddy let’s go with his fingers on his right hand he rolls so hard. Now I’m sure you haven’t thought about this long enough.
New shoes. Who disss?! I see you brotha hahahaa
A good boxer twists his punch for more power
Its a throwing motion. You are throwing the club not bench pressing it. You release it like a baseball player
I AM BRICE LEE!
my 120 lb nephew has been doing martial arts for years he took to golf like a fish to water.
So true Tom , you 'johnny miller' it .
Moe Norman would concur!!!
Nice job – Saguto's videos get better all of the time – thanks so much.
I was a pretty low handicap in my late twenties through mid thirties even took a club team championship one year. Had a car accident. Just got banged pretty good. Struggled off and on some good a lot of bad. Late last Season I stumbled on Toms video. I’m now 54 And he makes it so simple I feel a bit foolish. Nothing stuck till Tom. Needless to say I’m back baby. I’m headhunting again and it’s a joy to play with my grown sons and really love the game again. I could never thank him enough.
Saguto is king, I was a pure chunker for the first few months off my golf, couldn’t make any decent contact…. Ever. Would top it, chunk it slice it everything but hit it pure. Watched 100s of videos which served to just confuse me
The videos you had about weight forward, and keeping trail arm tucked have transformed my game, played round of my life today
Much appreciated ser, you really are the best YouTube coach, keeping it simple has made such a difference
I love your demonstrations and descriptions! but I do have a legitimate question here: I was taught that a whipping action is where the SPEED comes from. In fact some guys used to use actual whips to demonstrate that. Because I really relate to your teaching, can you demonstrate the "whipping" from a pronounced lag portion to impact position? I can grasp the "no roll" thing but how to get the whip, snap, explosion in the club?
More great instruction, Tom!! How about this video? Ernie’s tempo is SO GOOD!!
