Probably the number one putter on tour yeah and um they make fantastic products because they they just put a lot of R&D into their Putters so um I wanted to go on a little rant on why you need to be buying smart Putters okay not smart

Putters that’s that’s a term that I came up with yeah um did you patent it yet let me show you guys this so the problem in my opinion with modern day is this is a Scotty Cameron I own several Scotties yeah and I love them but there’s really no technology

Involved here it’s literally a hunk of metal that’s milled down with some weights in it that’s all it is perfectly and all of this stuff going on in 2024 all the technology and drivers all the technology and Fairway woods and irons that we’re seeing um there’s not enough Brands utilizing new technologies in

Putters there’s no technology that’s going to help help your putting in here mhm and so this is really more of a tour putter I love my Scotties I’m never going to sell them but I don’t play I don’t game them and on there’s a few

What it’s all on you as the putter no you can utilize good technology that’s what we’re going to review in these Odyssey but more importantly there’s not that many Brands La golf is another one Cobra is utilizing some some technology Odyssey it does we’re going to have a

Top five video coming out on Putters but let’s talk about techn ology and how this can actually improve putting and then we’re going to roll a few and see if we can tell the difference or not so when we think about what Odyssey has done here AI it’s been a huge thing

Especially this season that a lot of brands are starting to develop and go into that something is AI design so we’re going to get a little bit more into that here with Trevor we got the Whiteboard set up let’s roll into some tech this guy right

Here this is an AI designed insert so show them the insert especially in the soft putter now see this kind see have a window but right behind the face of the putter but essentially see like this these weird little shapes and and lumps and bumps that are in here

This is AI designed and essentially what it does is it’s going to help with off center hits believe it or not you can M hit a putter you can tow a putter you can heal a Putter and watch the pros M hit a putt yes when they storm after a

Putt because they know it was a bad strike even they’re Mish hitting putts but essentially this insert helps you get 21% closer to the hole on Mish hits so you Mish hit obviously when we tow or or heal a putter a stroke um the ball’s going to roll short right but this is

Saying it’s going to get us 21% closer to the hole so I believe especially I miss it it’s only going to help you when you’re short it’s not going to help it stay 21% closer to the hole on a something 100% of short puts yes so it

Has the window as Tate talked about yeah and then it has an option for the all all-in-one shaft so this is a lighter weight shaft that helps keep weight in the butt of the club that’s just a personal preference so you can order it that way and then of course the new navy

Blue finish which I really like aesthetically the m is blue and gold that is a really sweet and I actually prefer this color and the difference the Mills a little bit more expensive but really the difference between the mil and the regular is going to be just feel

So the one that Tes has here the ai1 with this insert is going to be a softer feel yeah softer feel and a softer sound so it doesn’t have a click to it all right so that was the soft or the not the soft it is a softer feel but the AI

One the AI one but look at this the mil Putters I don’t think are going to give you quite the same performance see this is a totally different shape and if you look closely putts finished 10% closer to the hole so whatever insert is in that one seems like it’s a more more

Forgiving insert well and you have to think that has to be because this is a softer face so you can get to that AI chip a lot easier whereas in a Mil face that’s a harder piece of Steel so you’re not going to be able to get through to

That AI chip as easy with a mil putter so that makes sense so let’s talk about shapes real quick so here’s all the different shapes okay so we got eight different head shapes but here’s something you want to think about don’t just think about what suits the eye nice

We really want to pay attention and look on the spec sheets because they all have different tow hang so this putter here has a 45° tow hang I typically play blades because I’ve just have played a 45° tow hang my entire life and when I

Start to do like a 30° tow hang or of face balance putter I pull everything left so I need a 45° tow hang to slow that head down a little bit Yeah cuz of my arc swing and if you don’t know what type of Swing you need that’s why you

Need to go get fitted so you get the right head shape combined with the right hosle that’s going to give you the appropriate tow hang so some of these blades or some of these Mallet styles are more forgiving and are better head shapes for putts but until I can find

One that it’s going to give me that same 45° tow hang for now I’m playing the blade and you can pay attention to this too so this is going to be the Plumber’s neck but they also have the slant neck they have the straight down in the

Middle but if you look this one it’s not face balance but a 30 yeah 30ish or so yeah so um anyways should we roll a few see what we think of them yeah the man I do I like I prefer the mil look though it does look really good

But if if the the the the if the one is going to give you better putts yeah okay so hit three I want you to kind of go at both of these holes should I try to short it should I try to M hit it or just go just play

Normal let’s start with three and then we’ll come back back in this direction should I just Center one yeah try and make the these first three okay terrible end over end though yeah it I mean it feels like a m putter it’s not real soft off the face hold on one

Second Super high-tech testing we’re doing here pulling them there we go now you want to know something little that I like about it I love the Top Line right here the alignment line I hate it when it’s just on the bottom and there’s nothing on top so I I do like the

Alignment Top Line all right hit a hit a you with that mount with the seven there okay now this is a different tow hang so I kind of got to adjust for that a little bit oh this feels better it’s soft yeah I like the feel of this one pulled

It oh look at that this definitely feels more comfortable and I like the two alignment lines with sort of those bat wings look at that three for three I like this head shape much better if I can figure out how to get the appropriate tow hang on it so I prefer a

Blade that’s what suits my eye but I’m not I’m not a good putter at all so I have to I I usually have to use a mallet just because my putting is not good it rolled end over end though you want me to hold the other

Putter what do you think of it I I it’s definitely rolling true and it doesn’t feel bad it definitely has a click to it though try you’ve been eyeing this one though you’re kind of almost contemplating that for the bag aren’t you this one this one I think I do want for my

Bag oh it doesn’t count Bank rebound little ricochet so which one you prefer the soft I prefer the soft okay so now should we try some M hits some toe and heel shots see what happens see how see if we can achieve 10% and 20% closer to the hole

Yeah give me give me like a bad toe shot here okay okay give me a heel shot it’s not leaving it short I know that let me try to really leave one short here on the heel still I mean it’s short obviously but it’s getting there let’s see if this

One does even better and move that ball that one’s supposed to be 10% better forgiveness this yeah this one is supposed to be the maximum forgiveness just offline but they’re getting into the hole let’s try a heal Miss I’m not swinging harder does it look like I’m swinging harder look at

That no that’s good all right give me one more toe toe is probably the most common miss that one rolled quite a ways it looks like you even baby that one okay now for comparison sake just give me like a one of those other Putters over

There mil face just a plain old M face putter send one back to me I’ll get it I got it let’s see compared to just a regular old no technology here putter I mean did I bit did I did I accidentally baby that a little bit or

Is that I would have no way of knowing but you haven’t missed left one short yet try again let me try heal it’s hard to say yeah it’s hard to say if it’s really working yeah I think you’d probably notice the biggest go ahead you try I think you’d probably

Notice the biggest amount of this forgiveness on Long on like a 40ft putt yeah yeah I don’t know if 12 15t putt here these little 12-footers are going to pick up a lot you know all right I’ll just put put one on the toe one on the

Heel okay so this is just a nice smooth Center strike way past okay so now let’s try that same stroke with the toe like reverberated my hand like I could felt it twist it it almost got to the hole though that’s a heel yeah I mean that was a bad Miss but

That’s a gimme there yeah you’re in gimme range okay now same strike with the center see so that stroke gets it there try toe again definitely more forgiving maybe the way to test it is let me try this one here so let me try that same thing let me Center one

And then with the same head shape yeah let me put one on the center of it okay so that strike was to the hole that’s perfect that was a perfect example because it got to the hole all right now going to tow one did I baby that I don’t think so I

Didn’t feel like I babied it oh of course all right so give me your final thoughts on these final thoughts are the club head cover is really nice I love the fact that you have the adjustable weights I love the blue I love the color the mil having the option

Between a mil face that’s forgiving or the soft face that’s forgiving is awesome I feel like any any putter could find a putter any person any golfer can find a putter in this category that would work and it’s honestly it’s not a terrible price point either no

Especially the soft yeah so I think it’s safe to say we would both go with this model right yeah and the all-in-one shaft which is really sweet now if I get one of these I think I might take the shaft out and put in my favorite La golf

Shaft now we’re adding extra technology even mhm so here’s the thing I think these are great Putters does the technology work I think it does yeah I’m sure there’s plenty of science behind what they what they showed yeah here’s my thing can’t hurt right can’t hurt to

Throw a little technology in there can’t hurt can’t hurt yeah so my plan going forward I’m going to order this in my exact specs with the all-in-one shaft that same putter in your hand 35 in I’m going to try to find one this shape with

Close to a 45° tow hang and put in one of my La shaft Putters yeah my my shafts in this putter now here’s the thing I think these are one of the top two Putters available mhm and we have our top five putting review coming yeah um
