Callaway Paradigm to Callaway Paradigm AI smoke Fairway comparison which is the fairest of them all so we’ve done our video on the actual changes in Tech in the new paradigm AI smoke models this year so what we’re going to do now is do a comparison between previous model

Paradigm in the triple diamond the standard and the X against the AI smoke Triple Diamond Max and Max draw so get a bit of data with each one like you did with the driver video uh so there’s also one on the comparisons there of what to

Expect so hit some shots with each one look at the data com compare the like models to like models and let you know what to expect out of each Product Is Okay so we’ve gone gone through all the shots uh through the testing I was using I play the Paradigm triple di myself so using my own Fairway shaft and so I’ve been able to put my exact shaft grip everything swing W these all in with one

Another so you know in as true a test as we can possibly manage um so give a comparison now between the different models so initially going to go to the Triple Diamond Series so both I mean Paradigm Triple Diamond was a really nice strong hitting head a very solid

Feeling uh and you know there’s a little bit of progression I think with uh with AI smoke Triple Diamond although as we can see here you know not an awful lot you from the data on screen okay the the paradig is my own head so getting a little bit more ball

Speed efficiency slightly more slightly more clubs with it marginal but unsurprising based on that is my gamer Club um but what we can see here is again very very similar launch angle 0. one of a degree difference but a little bit lower spin out of AI smoke now what

We do know from uh is the AI smoke they’ve stopped the 13 they stopped the three plus the lower Loft almost like a two-word loft with how strong on spin that is the Paradigm isn’t weak on spin that’s no massive surprise I think it’s going to be such a low volume head for

Them that not really much of a point to keep doing you know both in that kind of stronger flight profile definitely not aead if you’re looking for high launch or to get a bit of spin on it absolutely stay away from from this head but if you’re looking to create a stronger more

Kind of drilled ball flight and flat top to it very very strong hitting head actually you really really sound head across the face but it had quite a quite a tough gig to beat Paradigm Triple Diamond by that much um but you as you can see in very very similar performance

But spin down just a little bit moving into the Paradigm versus Smoke Max so and again not a vast difference here um so where there have been more of a weight saving in the so from the max head where they’ve taken the taken the two struts

Out from the head they’ve saved about 24 gram they put some weight forward the tungsten a little bit more at the back technically a little bit more little bit more forgiveness crept a little bit more ball speed margin more I mean talking about half a mile an hour um but again

In terms of flight side launch angle pretty similar but Spin A Little Bit Stronger so where you know Paradigm potentially first gen Paradigm potentially a little bit better at kicking the ball up in the air so what we’re likely to have to do with the smoke Max Fairway would is go to a

Slightly higher Loft in order to achieve the same kind of trajectory iory but what it does afford the um for the player to have is higher launch and lower spin so potentially from a raw distance point of view very strong head very very similar in terms of face

Rotations um you know Carri to run out proportions because the data is so similar but a hair more ball speed a little bit lower spin so slightly stronger looking like about four yards stronger there overall both heads again whole Paradigm range of Fairway Woods

Tough gig to beat so to have crept out a little bit more performance not a bad thing at all and they’ve kept that nice shallow profile on the um on the smoke Max and the smoke Max draw heads which has been such a popular thing H going

Kind of more towards where ping boy been light for the shallow head profile that’s something Callaway have matched in these two model so continue that On’s very very much a strong aspect for them but a slight Improvement a little bit lower spin a little bit more distance on

The max moving into the draw heads and technically you know the Paradigm X is not necessarily A massively draw biased head um was designed technically a little bit more flight what I what we can see from Paradigm X versus the data we just looked at from Paradigm you know

Launch and spin very very very similar allbe with a little bit more rate of closure but some would argue know not enough extra closure rate unless you use the draw bar and have the standard par standard to really make a difference I know in my fittings I did very many more

Of the standard Paradigm versus the X just because there wasn’t a huge difference move that on to the AI smoke uh and the Max draw all of a sudden we’re doubling up how closed the faces there versus Paradigm um so the smoke Max Standard Version to the draw there’s

A much more significant leftand draw based bias to the Max draw this time round so there’s a this is a real step change in terms of head we’re seeing a prominent looking at kind of side total that very right right hand column you 24 ft left versus 68 there’s a you know

There’s a good doubling up of that shot shape out of the Max draw Fairway would as a result Dynamic Loft comes down launch angle comes down but again spin very very similar so what it doesn’t do which quite nice it doesn’t knuckle spin off but it provides a slightly stronger

Launch angle um but that rate of closure rate which is what brings that launch angle down really really strong so much like the driver for anyone looking to lose the right side of the golf course that smoke Max draw is a really really good option so I think the real takeaway

From from this is that the two models that work the best from the Paradigm series The Triple Diamond and the standard version haven’t changed too much but they’ve dropped the spin a little bit and maybe e to had a fractional ball speed on the on the

Smoke Max um but the real changes in the Paradigm X to Max draw the Max draw brings in that that proper draw Bast option which hasn’t quite been there this year for them but you then moving the flight from very neutral very strong to Upper mid launch strong but with a

Little bit more forgiveness in a shallower profile to then that same shallower profile to a strong leftand B and that really brings them in something which they haven’t had for a couple of series that’s going to be a really good seller this year
