PING Launches Blueprint S Forged Irons for Tour-Level Precision

PING has unveiled their new Blueprint S forged irons, designed for tour-level precision and control. As the name suggests, Blueprint S fits into PING’s Blueprint family as a compact forged players iron for low handicap golfers.

The sleek Blueprint S irons feature a thin top line and minimal offset in a compact head shape. This appeals to the eye of the skilled golfer and inspires confidence over the ball. The forged 8620 carbon steel heads have a clean cavity back design with a forged textured pattern and stunning hydropearl chrome finish.

But Blueprint S is more than just beauty. Under the hood, these irons pack patented precision pocket forging technology. PING forged a pocket into the cavity of the 3-5 irons, saving 10g of weight. This weight is redistributed to increase MOI and optimise CG for more distance control. An elastomer insert ensures solid feel and sound.

The 6-PW are traditionally forged for optimal workability and trajectory control. Tungsten weighting screws allow for swing weight fine-tuning. The lofts match the Blueprint T and i230 irons, so blended sets are seamless.

Guys welcome back to the channel and today we are going to show you the new ping blueprint range launched for 20124 I’ve got the blueprint s in my hand we’re going to put it to the test today but before I do please hit that subscribe button and tell all our golfing

Friends I mean that was so soft it was almost Buttery so here we have it Ping’s blueprint s now they brought the blueprint range out it’s launching in 2024 it’s a forged product so what Ping have done with this product is they’ve gone to their tour players and said what do you need from ping forged iron and then they’ve thrown

The kitchen sink at it and to be honest with you they’ve done a really really good job I actually think this is could be one of the the first ping forged IR that I’ve seen in a very very long time that I actually would put in the bag on

Look I haven’t hit it yet so Loft wise start in the standard Loft at 33 now that works really well because you can blend this really really nicely with the blueprint T the bladed head if you like rather than the S which is more of the

Cavity back head and also into the I 230s as well so it gives you a little bit of flexibility and I think you’re seeing this more with manufacturers about the ability to blend especially into the longer irons now what they’ve also done is they’ve with a 3 four and

Five iron they’ve created a little pocket at the back which allows them to redistribute weight in those longer irons to help you get maximum forgiveness we know how hard a 3 four and five iron are to hit so what Ping have done and said well you know what

We’re not going to affect the way this thing looks but we are going to make it super forgiving for a forged iron in that longer set so overall it’s a good looking product I’m really excited to go and have a littleit test of this I’ve

Got it in the 120 Dynamic gold um s300 so it’s a pretty good spec for me actually to hit this um I think you are going to seeing a lot of the Ping guys out on tour put this in their bag if they haven’t already I think he a really

Really good product and we know that with ping product their fitting capabilities are so good that I think you’re going to see guys that have never even thought about a ping forged iron in 2024 probably head over and test this and I think it’s really important that

When you do get into the bay you do actually ask for this product because it is one of those naughty ones bit like a cobra for me sometimes that goes under under the radar and we kind of instantly go to a shrien or a mauno or a tailor

Made for our forged product we don’t necessarily think as ping as a forged um forged product or or forged uh a club for you to even test so look that’s enough of me waffling let’s get into the trackman bay and let’s see what this thing does so we’re off and running

We’re going to get in we’re going to hit this uh little baby in a second but before we do I just want to show you on the screen screen here and if I can just bring it up to the camera one thing that’s quite interesting with this

Product is the weight in the toe of the club now why is it there it’s a screw it’s a Tungsten screw and it’s designed for really fine-tuning swing weight of the head which some players will definitely benefit from I mean everyone says that they would always benefit from real

Tight swing weighting and and you know I can’t necessarily disagree with that however the only point I would make is that if you can’t find the middle of the face with the ball the swing weight might not make as much different as you think we don’t want it miles out though

Before we get loads of comments that we don’t want it at D7 when it should be at D1 like we don’t need that so there’s a lot of ability with this product to fine-tune and tweak and that’s beauty of working with someone like Ping because they’re so good at that

Now let’s hit it forged ping forged I mean it’s really compact you know this is what they’ve actually just said this is that they’ve got a really compact head and a really thin Top Line and I don’t disagree with them I think it looks absolutely beautiful that however is the slight

Problem so when you have a club that looks this good you’ve got to have someone who can hit it that was lovely now what I do like with pink is they don’t mess around with their LOF too much 33° 7 they do do a

Power spec which is uh 31 1/ 12° so even their power spec if you want a bit more distance isn’t as isn’t as powerful as some of the other seven IRS out on the market I mean that was so soft it was almost buttery that way that was just beautiful control

I don’t think you’re going to get loads of distance out of this iron I don’t think it’s that iron what I think you’re going to get is a huge amount of feel and a huge amount of control just beautiful that just doesn’t feel you you kind of look at it even

Even though the head’s small even though the top line is is nice and neat I don’t look at that and I think I still think it’s a ping it still looks like a ping and My worry is that sometimes when I do that is I’m expecting that ping sound

I’m expecting that Ping Pop and that kind of fastness off the face I didn’t get that at all from those shots that was off the toe so you can see why with this small head though that you’re going to need a bit of help if

You are going to go 3 four five on them New Year same shot that’s what we’re going for unbelievable just feels lovely just feels really really nice I mean it looks brilliant they’ve got this hydrop pear chrome finish on the back which just and it sits on the rack it just looks really

Cool yeah overall it just looks a really really good iron think it’s going to be popular this one I think if your if your Market is forged product I think this one could really really put the cat amongst the pigeons really good product feels really good looks super good the only thing

That might go against it a little bit is its lack of forgiveness but hey it’s a voice product it’s not supposed to be that forgiving um it’s time to give it a score so it’s time to give the blueprint S as AF golf score so we’ll start with

Our legendary look well I think this thing looks fantastic I think they’ve done an exceptional job both not in terms of the rack appeal but also the way it looks from the top so I’m going to give this a nine out of 10 for look I think it is absolutely beautiful looking

B and I think Pinger done an incredible job with it feel set it in the bay when we were hitting it I think I’m I mean I expect it I’m expecting it to pop and I’m expecting it to jump it doesn’t it doesn’t do any of that it feels

Beautiful off the face and you could have S when I hit it you might have heard that through through the video how soft it was so again I’m going to give it a nine now they’re two massive scores for look and feel for Ping I think N9

Out of 10 n out of 10 for look and feel is something that you’re’ not expecting to do in a ping forged iron custom options well look they’ve got so much we know they’re good then Loft lies and whatnot and shaft options but I think adding that little weight port at the

Back or on the toe sorry at the back on the toe allowing to do that little bit of fine tuning that we really want that good player really really wants the player that wants this type of iton really wants to see that fine tuning of Swing waiting and whatnot also means

That their custom options have jump the notch for me so I’m going to give it a nine out of 10 as well so three NES to start with price ah now we’ve got a little bit of a problem so this is replacing the i59 which was around 225 a

Stick as of today I haven’t had the final price confirmed but I do know it’s going to be higher than that so this makes this one of the most expensive forged irons on the market that is scary now don’t get me wrong there’s lots of technology and ping don’t want this iron

To be cheap so I get why they’re doing it however it may push it into that realm of I’ll just go with that one that’s a little bit cheaper I think this is going to be north of £250 a stick that’s what I think it’s going to be

Marketed and that is a huge huge amount of money so for me price is where it’s going to let it down I’ve got to be honest I think it’s a four out of 10 overall performance well the fact that they do standard Lofts 33° the fact that it’s super good in

Feeli I overall performance of this I’m going to give it an8 out of 10 I think it’s a really really good product so overall for us that gives us a score of 39 out of 50 so guys I hope you enjoyed that video it’s really always good to test a
