One of the most popular softest most sought after irons in the game are being reviewed at ember’s golf today Trevor what are we doing some of the most coveted irons in all golf they just launched the new Pro Models today they’re sitting right over there we’re

Going to show you them they are some of the sexiest irons in all golf we’re excited to get them in the simulator and tell you which ones are going to be right for you based on your handicap you have to stay tuned for this video Let’s Do It Okay guys so we will be fitting for this iron set along with all of the other Muno products Srixon Cobra you name it we have a lot of iron brands in the store if you want to get fitted come down and see us go on our website email

Us at golf Embers living.com right here or go on our website you can sign up for fittings through that as well or if you’re in the Denver Colorado area come to to our showroom in person don’t forget you can call or text at this number right here call or text us and

We’ll be happy to take an order over the phone if you don’t see what you want on our website whatever okay so last year in 2023 Tate and I did an experiment we got fitted for which side you going on I’m I’m going over here we got fitted for

Every major golf brand out there and I got fitted into the mauno 223s mhm and when struck well are the best feeling irons on the planet Earth yeah I have to agree they are so soft but responsive at the same time it’s very very attractive the

Only reason they didn’t make it in the bag is as a 14 handicap they just were not forgiving enough for me don’t worry I wasn’t going to go full sling so that’s why they didn’t make it in the bag but mauno is highly covered as

Making some of the best irons in all of golf that’s why we’re so excited to have the new Pro Series so what are we talking about here Tate so we have the three new iron series you have them right there let’s pull them out so we

Have the hardest to hit we had the old 221 series now we have the new 241 so this is going to be your straight blade I mean super super thin top lines the least forgiving obviously of the bunch and first off what do we know about that

Iron that’s changed so a lot hasn’t changed outside of it getting smaller yeah like this blade actually got smaller so the advantage even more intimidating you’re saying yes but it should give you a lot more workability the smaller the head gets the easier it is to turn this left or right yeah so

For better players obviously that’s a a benefit um you know attractive wise it it looks a little less chromy or is that just me no it’s definitely less chromy so and it should just get L now this is the one I’m most excited about I played

Or I don’t play but I have the 223s now and I absolutely love them but like I said they weren’t forgiving enough this is the one where they’ve changed the most aesthetically M so the 243 you can see has more mass on the back side of the Club so that should

Give us frame is a little bit different shape yeah it’s not straight across they’ve added more mass and it should give us extra forgiveness now there’s some details about these clubs that we’ll talk about when we get them into the fitting Bay but that should help with forgiveness and then also it’s

Smaller yeah so they made this small more compact while also adding more mass which should help with forgiveness awesome now the 225 was the hollow body now that’s got to be one of the best hollow body players clubs like you attractive wise ding ding ding you guessed it

Smaller so again should give us a little more workability again I’ll give you my feedback on hollow body Club look though doesn’t it yeah it looks fantastic that looks really good give you my feedback on hollow body clubs as we hit them and go through the process now what makes

Mauno iron so good two things one is their forging process so um these are all grain Forge club now what do I mean when I say for Club so they have like the what is it called the P pillet Billet Billet they have a Billet and then that’s put in a

Thing and then it’s stamped a number of times so this is one solid piece here and even the hosle is shaped from that that grain Forge from the Billet so that grain forging can takes some of the imperfections out of the iron it helps with softness also we’ll

Show you a picture but there is a layer of copper in these so that copper layer is what really gives you um that soft feel so I love when you have a soft forg feel but we still get a tremendous amount of feedback from the club and

That’s what mauno is best at that’s why they make arguably the best iron in golf and if they’ve improved on that I’m excited also they’ve improved some of the Acoustics so the sound is supposed to be better too so we’re going to pay attention to sound we’re going to pay

Attention to forgiveness specifically we’re going to look at dispersion rates and if if Tate and I have gotten good enough for any of these actually be in the bag or is this going to be a pipe dream something that we’ll just drool at right only find out should we start with

The easiest first The Hollow Bodies let’s do it yeah start off slow all right I’m going to start with the 245 now the reason that I didn’t get the two 25s last year is and this is just a personal feel thing is um I just didn’t

Like the feel of the hollow body club and they’re stronger lofted so the these are more forgiving so they’re uh what is it a 30 yeah 30° so by the time we get to the 241 that guy is a 34° so this is 4° stronger lofted so it was a little too

Strong lofted for me um cuz I I tend to hit the ball low so I needed something to kind of get the ball up in the air so that didn’t work for me and the clickiness of it last year now that all that being said this is the most popular

Club in the Pro lineup because it checks all the boxes it performs really well it’s Hollow bodied very forgiving but it looks like a blade so you would never guess that this is a hollow body Club I mean that looks like a blade now standing over the top of

It it’s a little fat Top Line but hey nothing I’m going to complain about all right let’s hit a few shots I have the green set at 180 yards we’re at altitude so if you’re at sea level you can take 10% off of that but we’re a mile high here in Colorado

As good as it feels it’s definitely for me it’s just launching a little low they’re like I mean they’re they’re performing well but they’re just like little stingers out there I think the 30° are little little strong for me if you guys remember Trevor’s description of of a lot of Holly body or

Foam failed was squishy squishy on that scale are you feeling any s it doesn’t feel real trampolini you know trampolini squishy trampolini squishy Ling I’m going to try I’m going to purposely try something real toey here just to see how that does on a m hit

That’s all toe yeah way to soft look at that I mean it goes yeah it does they have no problem moving 165 yards on a very toey shot we’ll delete that last shot out when we do our compare our data cuz that was a purposely purposely tow

Okay so naturally we’re doing the Muno irons had to bust out a brand new Muno glove um got the flex in it’s not the tour I like the tour glove better but we’re out of stock on those so this will have to do okay 245 like Trevor says it is a

Little bit thicker of a top line but it doesn’t look bad doesn’t look bad at all what you think of the feel give me your initial that one was very very soft but forgive they’re soft yeah that wasn’t my best strike if you need yardage that you don’t normally I tell

People if you want yardage you should go to the hot Metals but if you want yardage but you just want that purest look that’s where the come in oh all right so Trevor tested M hit I want to take test shape ability if you’ve watched any of our videos you

Know I do not move the ball right to left my movement is a fade let’s see if I can hit a draw with this club oh yeah oh yeah a pull draw yeah I’m impressed with that wow that should be extra low spin on that one

2117 no not that low of spin 217 yards I’ll take that I’ll take it is it shapable the 245 yes it is so I’m going to move on to the 243 now now the 243 now we’re getting get into the fully fully forged straight grained irons if

You were to describe the 243 to somebody that’s never seen one in the flesh how would you describe it butter butter okay now looks wise yeah looks wise it’s it’s it’s I mean the two the straight blade I think looks the best of the bunch but

It’s how would you it’s more of a cavity back look kind of a cavity back but not really not really I guess you call it a cavity back but here’s the thing here’s the issue with like fully forged like straight players blades yeah is they tend to lose

Distance because you lose a lot of ball speed so what mauno is saying is that they can keep the authentic feel of a fully F forged grained grain forged grain flowed grain flowed Forge yeah am I right grain flow Forge grain flow Forge Forge no Forge grain flow forged

There we go um but they’re they can continue to keep this club hot so on the seven iron and up on the harder to hit clubs they have the nickel cromal on here crali so at the crali and if you know when we test the hot metals that

Has tremendous amounts of ball speed to it it’s uh it’s real the way that metal reacts with the ball it says cyanara is what it does actually I don’t know if that’s the science it complement the ball in such a way that sends it flying so this is the one I’m most excited

About did you change it to me I didn’t touch a thing no because I’m hoping to get a new set of these if they work out out for me okay Trevor 2 43 engage so 32° so the 225s or two four FS we just hit were 30° so it’s a 32° so I

Should get a little bit better launch here okay because they’re soft grain clubs I mean they can be bent and weakened but then you’re starting to change the bounce and the interaction with the turf a little bit ideally you don’t want to be messing with that too

Much Top Line go oh much thinner okay much more attractive oh mama that one was launched still towy again that was pretty far in the toe look at that forgiveness man 200 yards and that was very to toe Miss with 5,000 spin on a draw better

Descent angle so I’m getting the ball in the air a little bit better oh yeah oh yeah get in the hole no you carried everything woo 96 carry these are hot they’re still a little hot now what’s nice is even though weak could go weaker um that’s what my other ones are

Even though they’re a little hot um you’re scoring irons so once you get to an eight iron below that nickel cro crale is not in the irons so some of that heat should be taken out of your scoring irons which is exactly what you want so it’s kind of like a self

Little it kind of combo sets itself yeah all right here we go 2 4 three Green’s at 180 yards Trevor got me all excited see how it goes oh my goodness dude that sounded so good dude that thing’s going to finish on the line oh it just sounds so

Good that’s one of the best sounding irons I’ve heard in the Bay my whole entire life that’s sweet spot as it gets true or false one of the best sounding irons we’ve ever hit in here true yeah I I thought that’s what you might say true all right should we move on to

The bad mama the mama jama and now here’s where the video gets exciting because cuz I’m a little intimidated about this club this club head should obviously be out of our pay grade being a uh six handicap and 13 14 14 but we all want to do it you guys at

Home want to hit the blade just to see what it’s like can we hit it if we put it in the bag could we play it this is the closest we’ll get because that’s a big commitment to take these out on the course so yes let’s see what you can do

Brother so now we’re at the full 34° which is what I like my seven iron at did you change it to me I didn’t so I think the loft of this iron is going to actually help me a little bit um so distance and spin wise you think this

Will be the best when I when I pure it but I think over oh yeah yeah well I think overall my dispersion is going to suffer because for obvious reasons it’s not as forgiving no oh that it twisted in my hand that was just all toe so did it didn’t feel good felt

Awful hated it 145 so this club out of the three pros is going to be the one that punishes you that’s a good one yeah that sounded fantastic that’s a good one much better descent angle that might be the first one out of everything we’ve hit that’s stuck the green so what I’m

Looking for is a reason why this would ever go in the bag over the 24 cuz I’m losing forgiveness mhm feel wise it doesn’t feel better so far the so let’s see about strip no that other one wasn’t bad it was a little low on the

Face there we go ask and you shall receive you know what I mean there we go much better descent angle oh yeah dude that thing like eight yards closing my eyes though and if I hit him it it feels the same off the face as the

243 that one does just pushed kept it open a little bit you found the screw on that one oh mama see now I Clos the face on that one first impression Top Line is smallest and it’s the small this way length from heel to toe oh you’re not

Kidding just came through way closed oh he heavy heavy heavy heavy heavy heavy that’s pretty forgiving yeah oh my goodness dude that’s going to dunk that’s going to dunk it’s going to dunk okay should we look at some data so 245s for me ball Speed 110 for me so 110

Ball speed for me that’s pretty hot so very very hot launch angle 15.5 a little low for me but you could see it wasn’t a good club for me spin rate 3400 uh RPM for seven iron is no good and uh what is it my descent angle 30° I want that over

40° so say to the haters that are going to be like you’re in the wrong shaft well I’ve tried all the shafts so I’m playing the KB B S2 or 120 which you know gives me a really nice angle on a lot of other irons I guess I could

Tinker around with that you probably make with a higher launching shaft specifically with this club but I wanted to see what it would do apples to apples 166 carry 186 total so a 20 yard roll out that’s because I was basically hitting stingers out there but I will

Say my initial feedback from the 245 to the 225 is it’s definitely less clicky mhm has it it does have a better sound and it doesn’t feel like a hollow body Club I could see this being I think we’re going to fit a lot of people in 24

I agree so even though and this is what I talk about in the reviews don’t just say well Trevor said it wasn’t a good fit that’s just for me because I struggle getting the ball in the air so Trevor lied to me he said it’s the worst

Yeah two four FS are going to fit a lot of people yeah and they’re going to be the sweet spot if you want something that looks very very attractive it looks like a blade but you need the hollow body forgiveness yeah um it’s going to be a really good club

But for me it wasn’t my favorite okay all right now me for the 245 I had 117.8 again that’s kind of hot for me too um 4,800 spin so it wasn’t as bad for me as it was for Trevor 36° descent angle 182 197 now this is the iron I was

Probably most interested in because this is what I got fit in last year I got fit in the two 25 this is obviously the 245 um but I’m going to share Trevor’s same sentiment it sounded better and it looked better in the size of it so huge Improvement in that that category 225

Two now the 245 so huge increase let’s look at our club head speed quick 84 and 88 so that’s also a little slow for Me 2 43 give us3 this is the one I was most excited about same ball Speed 110 um better spin 4,900 RPMs better a little

Bit higher launch angle not much and then not as bad of a roll out so 164 179 wait didn’t I have one horrific shot yeah we got it disabled cuz this one peaked at seven yards so let’s take out that all right so there we go so now oh

Ball speed’s much faster 115 so I got better ball speed 5200 RPMs we’re starting to get in the range of a 7 iron here U descent angles much closer to 40° like that 176 190 so much much better um still not exactly where I’d like it but

Again I think we could Tinker with it and get it where I wanted honestly the best sounding of the three yeah I would agree with that for me 117 ball speed so that’s that’s pretty good I for me the hotter the better as long as I can get

That height and spin um 5400 spin not ideal I want that at least at 6,000 descent angle was all right 36.7 so still you’re a low launcher anyway yeah not great 178 192 so great great Club 14 yards a roll out same as Trevor um but

Again a huge Improvement I like the size difference and it did sound better than last year’s model so Club head speed so it jumped up 89 mph so again with a it’s just natural as the face gets smaller you’re going to swing it faster so and

Then for me check Daddy’s 92 91.7 yep faster for you too yeah okay we’re going to look at dispersion after we’re done with the 241 241 for me uh so slower ball speed now I’ll show you my club head speed in a minute I have a theory so this is where we get

Into a lack of forgiveness because um I guarantee you my club head speed was the fastest but it has the slowest ball speed 5714 spin yeah so much better spin much better launch angle and descent angle was the best now I think that has

To do with our 34° Loft so I’ll tell you at the end and what I’m going to do when I order mine and how I’m going to order and it held 2 yards faster yeah Club head speed out of curiosity 91 no it’s so about the same

No that’s the fastest For Me Yeah by a mile so almost 2 m hour faster so I hit it faster but my ball speed was lower so that tells me it’s the least forgiving right yeah and the most lofted okay so 116 so the fastest ball speed for me so

Right on par cuz my 245 was 117 so 117 again 5,500 spin best descent angle yeah right on it’s right on par with the other ones spin descent angle 179 191 again 12 yards of roll out as opposed to Trevor and I’s last the two four3 was 14 so we gained three yards

Less of roll out now if we would have changed the green I think that would have change some of it all right now let’s check my club quick 91 91 so okay so now good let’s look at our dispersion Rate Check just you first whoa just as I

Thought mama so if you look here these little circles now when I talk dispersion that means you know basically the furthest golf ball around the range and then you make a circle around all of your shots right so basically well we want a tighter dispersion means we’re going to have more

Forgiveness obviously it’s ideal left to right and front to back you want the tight for me that the 243 was my club I had the best ball speed and specifically the smallest Circle so the red is the 243 so I had the best dispersion rate so

I kind of Shrunk The Fairway a little bit with the 243 always a good thing the rest of the data you could figure that out you could dial that in along the way and look it to I was towy all day it’s just a tow kind of day you know what I

Mean mhm okay now let’s look at Tates holy dude by by a mile so ball speed’s almost identical spin is the best it’s all the best launch Ang goes the best spins the best now I will say and again this is where it’s Unique to the individual teses obviously a

Better golfer but also you’re already playing ZX7 which is going to be a comparable iron yeah more of a straight type blade absolutely so the CX7 of course isn’t a straight muscle back but um he used to that type of Club already in the bag yeah so you know when you’re

When you’re hitting something when we’re testing something that you’re already kind of used to that does make a difference in the context of of of our fitting and what you’re doing you’re Healy yeah I’m always in heal my sweet spot is always like right in here

Yeah so 245 was the most efficient for you so most forgiving technically although your dispersion rate was better yeah okay that’s awesome let’s give our final thoughts and tell you what we’re going to do and how we’re going to order it yeah so for me out of fear of the

Club I would probably go with the 243 all the way through you combo setting no I would go well if I was ordering today just just going I would order the 241 full set full set full send full send four iron through gap wedge I think wow is would be ideal for

Me um I’d have to build up the courage to actually play it but I know I could yeah I know I could game it it would take some time for me I think I’m going to order a full set of the 243s because they’re already naturally combo seted so

Right now I love that about that 243 too my I’m in my set of stons I I combo set my stons so I’m I’m really coming around to the idea of combo setting especially your four five irons and you got into it a little bit but can you just really

Quickly go through how the 243 is almost combo seted by engineering so seven iron and higher so 7654 3 um it’s going to have the crale nickel crali in it so it’s going to be hotter off the face base which should improve some distance on your offc Center hits and then on

Your scoring irons 89 pitch Gap um there is no crali so you shouldn’t really have any rocket balls when when you’re hitting your Precision irons into the green so it’s like a built-in combo set which is awesome that I think that is so cool and it definitely seemed more

Forgiving it sounded better MH looks about the same but I can’t tell a huge difference can’t tell a huge difference but it definitely sounded the best of the three so I’m going to order a set of those I’m going to order them 2 de week though yeah so I’m going have the loft

Of the 241s in my now I know that affects Turf interaction and bounce I know you guys are telling me that um I ordered my last set week didn’t notice a huge difference um but overall big Improvement I think if your some people say you know the two2

Or 2 four FS are like for you know 10 to 12 handicap and below I think that’s a little tight I definitely think higher handicaps can play the two four FS cuz handic say 20 and a blow no because you could stink around the greens or whatever the worst wedge game and the

Best iron game yeah so I don’t think I think these fit a lot of people but how could you figure that out you can come in and get fitted what mauno does right is they give you speed with that grain flow forged feel well done nice yeah I nailed it yeah they’re like

Literally checking all the boxes yeah Aesthetics mhm check sound check feel check forgiveness check boom Japanese forgery double Tri Japanese forgery Japanese forgery is on point at Embers and if you haven’t watched our previous videos Trevor got tore apart for saying Japanese forgery so we’re keeping that

Phrase going yep but when I came into this video I was thinking how can mauno take a pro series that’s already phenomenal it’s already make it better but they did awesome it is better yeah these fitting heads are in store so you can come down and get fitted for them

The second you start watching this video they’re here so come TR said if you’re getting fit for irons he said this in one of our top five videos last year if you’re getting fit for irons and this isn’t on your list to at least try you’re you’re you’re doing something

Wrong it needs mauno needs to be on your list to at least hit you got to hit Munos you have to if you pass over we don’t even get into the hot Metals no they have they have an iron for everybody 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 eight eight

Different iron yeah which is a lot it’s a lot but there’s something for everyone if you haven’t tried auno iron you’re making a huge mistake at least beit come down to Embers get fitted today yeah out

  1. Great review as usual. I love seeing and hearing about new product from both the tech and looks side. Only issues I have with yearly release of products is that there is really no performance difference from the last year 's model. This is where I do prefer a release of every other year but even then there is no real difference. Now I am looking forward to y'all doing the new Callaway as I've seen reviews of them and they look very interesting at least for me the driver and fairway's. Hope to see that soon.

  2. Ok guys, need some help….. I play both Ping ie1 irons and 921 forged, testing drivers and need your thoughts… Mizuno Stz 230 or Ping 430, which driver do you guys feel is better all around? Thanks…..Johnny
