8° you can up the Loft by up to 2° but compared to some of the other offerings out there maybe it just doesn’t offer quite as much adjustability oh I must admit I do like that type of ball flly though you know what I would also really like if you hit

Driver test that is just to make sure that the data is accurate from driver to driver this year I’m going to be swinging at 1150 M an hour that is my cruising speed for my golf swing now this doesn’t happen very often with driver testing year on year but I

Actually did see a difference with the data and the numbers but not only that there are some intangibles which I also found quite a difference in as well so first of all let’s just have a look at those basic numbers of distance so with the smoke I was carrying it

96.8 yards whilst with the old Paradigm old Paradigm from last year it was 293.50 and respective total distances of 39 19.2 for the smoke and 37.2 with the Paradigm but here’s where I really did start to see the difference and hopefully I wasn’t just sucking in

By what the marking was saying but from around the face I really think the smoke is a better driver than the Paradigm one of the big differences I found here was from the heel of the smoke so normally when you hit it out the heel it spins up

Quite a lot you lose a bit of distance and that is still the case with the smoke but compared to the Paradigm it was actually performing much better out of that area of the club high toe on both these drivers they were both really good and out the center I maybe found a

Slight Improvement in the Smoke than the Paradigm but over the many drives that I hit the result was simply the smoke was just performing that little bit better which is actually quite nice to see I mean it’s not always the case when drivers come out that you see an

Improvement but in this case I did one thing which really stood out with the spin rates from the the smoke now normally when you strike it from around the face the spin will increase so if HS out the heel the spin will increase HS out the toe it usually decreases but

Actually from around the face here the spin ratees seemed very very consistent which is a huge plus so one thing I found was the dispersion between the two drivers was different so the smoke was definitely Tighter and I did hit all these drives from everywhere on the face

So heels toes highs lows there was a good spread and like I said the heel area out of the just seemed to be a little bit tighter and not losing that much of a distance it was it was noticeable and as mentioned that’s not always the case when you’re testing

Variations of driver year on year so is the smoke better than last year’s Paradigm the number one selling driver in the world I would say yes but now this is one of the intangibles when I was striking it with the smoke it just didn’t feel as nice so

When I struck the Paradigm from last year it felt soft it felt responsive it felt fast the smoke just feels a little bit harder it feels a little bit firmer it’s not unpleasant but it is actually noticeable I would say that if I could hit last year’s Paradigm and just get

The performance that we got from the smoke that would be a perfect driver for me but that is something you should bear in mind if you are considering one of these two drivers I have to say the Callaway are on a little bit of a role to get the number one selling driver

Last year in the Paradigm which was really good and to them back it up with the smoke which on paper looks really really solid and in practice and in testing does seem to perform that little bit better nothing lasts forever and everything is cyclical but I have to say
