The Bushnell launch Pro is the best device I’ve ever tested so why isn’t it my number one ranked launch monitor under $5,000 we’re going to get to that in a second but before we do let’s get into accuracy of the device because it

Is so good now what I do when I do my reviews I will hit the device at least a thousand times and I compare my reading to that device to that on industry standard units like the $220,000 trackman and I can tell you this is as accurate as any device of ever tested

And it really is accuracy wise probably the best device I’ve ever tested it’s almost like it’s an 8 to 10,000 device which if you followed along it kind of is the bush Now launch Pro is the foresight gc3 which is 7 to 8,000 but what has happened is Bushnell has bought

Foresight and they’re selling the Bushnell launch pro at a lower starting price with high subscription fees and like I said from chipping all the way to driver it is an incredibly accurate accurate device The Bu down launch Pro is the younger brother of the foresight GC quad which is a $20,000 device and

Really the only reason you upgrade to the GC quad is if you’re a professional golfer so in short if you’re not going to have lefties over a lot and you don’t mind paying a high subscription fee this is the device for you now speaking of subscription fees let’s get into the

Cost of the device cuz it can be a little confusing so the base price of the unit comes in at two different sets there’s the ball data unit and then there’s the club data unit the club data is $3,500 it doesn’t help the golf ball read any better but it’s going to

Provide Club data the ball data is only $2,000 which honestly is an amazing price with that you’re going to get all the ball readings you need and I’ll kind of overlay those metrics above right now but if you want to spend the extra 1,500 bucks to get Club data what you’re going

To get I believe it’s Club speed smash Factor angle of attack and club path but you you don’t get face angle now if I’m being honest if I wasn’t a launch monitor reviewer and I was just buying the unit for myself I don’t know if I

Would spend the extra money on the club data it’s definitely nice to be able to get your club path but I find without face angle it’s a little harder to correct the issues in your swing when you don’t have club path combined with face angle but the good news even though

It doesn’t have face angle the club data is the most reliable of any unit I’ve tested you do need to put Club stickers on your clubs so really the amount of time it takes to put the stickers on you’re only going to get Club data for

People that are over there all the time I would say you probably won’t take time to put stickers on for people who are coming over randomly so whatever variation of the Bush down launch Pro you choose to go with there’s also going to be subscription fees now this is the

Really only downside in the unit is how high these are the minimum you’re going to spend on subscription fees is 500 a year the max is 750 if you go with the gold package which is 500 a year you’re going to get like 30 courses from f SX

Play and the good news is I think this is a great software I don’t think you need to spend the extra 250 for GS Pro where with other units you do so if you’re dead set on the bush Now launch Pro and you’re looking to get the best

Experience I think you can just use FSX play I really love their Graphics I love the courses I think the physics are great and if you really want GS Pro which is our number one recommended software then you’re going to add on 250 to that so maximum 750 a year minimum um

500 a year now another huge positive of the Bush launch Pro is the space constraints you can use this in the minimum space required for a simulator so you’re talking 10 ft of width 15 16 ft of depth you could be using this device easily now the only other

Downside besides the subscription fees has to deal with those space constraints kind of and that’s the fact you really can’t use lefties and righties with the device while there is a feature in Gs Pro which allows each golfer to play out the whole you’re still going to be

Having to switch the device pretty constantly and one of the hardest parts for me instead of just picking up the device and moving it over you also have to like scroll down on the touch screen and switch between Lefty and righty so as much as I want this to work for

Lefties and righties because this is a device I would be using it’s just not super feasible now could you get it to work if you had the occasional Lefty yes but if you have lefties all the time it’s just not ideal moving on to setup

Super easy to set up the first time it may take an hour or two but once you have all your programs downloaded and have all your connection things figured out it probably takes like a minute or two to set up each time speaking of simulator programs the bush Now launch

Pro has some great options like I said with that gold package 500 a year you’re going to get FSX plate which is a great simulator program only downside is you’re CT at like 30 courses and you’re probably not going to want to get more courses cuz it’s like 150 each course

You buy if you do want to go to GS Pro there’s a gajillion courses but then it’s going to be 750 a year instead of 5 00 a year now let’s talk about battery life because this thing’s a beast most units are like 5 hours I don’t know what

The official battery life is on the bush launch Pro but I feel like I could use this thing for like three straight days and never charge it and play 36 a day and not have it run out of battery so huge plus how long the battery lasts now

In addition to the battery life there’s another positive and you’re probably getting the idea there’s a ton of positives with this unit it’s taking it to the range this is actually the unit I will to the range the MEO plus is a radar device which reads the entire ball

Flight but if I’m going to choose one to hit at the range it’s going to be the Bushnell launch Pro and that’s because it’s so simple to set up the MEO plus is an incredible unit and my carry yardages indoors and Outdoors are essentially the same between the two devices but the

Setup for the MEO plus is super important so when I go to the driving range I don’t really want to take 5 minutes to set it up Outdoors indoors it’s quicker because you’ve done it over and over but the bush Now launch Pro is so easy you just set it down it gives

You your hidden area you start hitting your ball and you’re good to go so driving range and simulator great device moving on to responsiveness from the time you hit the ball to when it shows up on the screen how responsive is the unit extremely responsive out of all

Devices under $5,000 it is the most responsive unit so you’re going to have a great experience with that now if it’s not your number one recommended unit what about putting is the putting the thing that’s bad no putting is incredible on this and a pro tip if

You’ve seen my videos no matter how good putting is on a device don’t putt on a simulator just use the auto putt functions play more holes in a less amount of time get better at golf quicker that’s just my two cents but if you do want to putt the putting’s very

Good now moving on to the only negative with the bush Now launch Pro and that’s lefties and righties besides the subscription fees and the lefties and righties I think this is just an incredible device but like I said a little bit earlier if you have lefties

Over a lot it’s not really going to work the fact that you’d have to pick it up and move it scroll down on the screen switch lefties and righties would really make it a pain in the butt now in the future if they do something to make that

Switch easier then I think you’ll be able to get it to work especially with GS Pro having the play out hole option moving on to sturdiness of the device one of the huge positives of the Bush launch Pro is it is constructed so well this thing is a tank the plastic is so

Hard the cameras are set in a way where golf balls can’t get in so I’d feel pretty comfor able that even if golf balls hit this nothing would happen but if you want to get a shank tank it probably is worth it but I really think

This thing could take a lot of golf balls and not get busted in any way moving on to quirks of the device a quirk for me is something that isn’t a deal breaker but might be just a little bit of a pain in the butt and the best

Part about the bush launch Pro is it has the least quirks of any device I’ve tested really the only quirks with the unit is the color of te’s and the club stickers but since you’re using infrared cameras you can’t have like red and white berties you just need to make sure

You’re getting black dark blue or green now the only other Quirk is the club stickers like I said if you go with the club data model you need Club stickers and it’s kind of a quirk for me because like for myself the club data is extremely accurate and I love it but I’m

Not going to take the time and spend the extra money to put Club stickers on every person who comes over to my simulator so no if you get the club data it’s probably going to be for you and the people that are in there 80 to 90%

Of the time now finally let’s get into if this is the most accurate device I’ve tested least amount of quirks then why isn’t it the device I recommend most of the time well it’s a little bit of a loaded question because I’m a lefty and like I’ve said lefties and righties not

Really going to work super well with the bush Now launch Pro and then you pile on the high subscription fees and generally with the amount of data the MEO plus offers and how accurate the device is that’s the one that I I recommend but if

You want me to be honest which one do I use the most by myself it’s the Bushnell launch Pro now when I have friends over because I’m a lefty I have to use the MEO plus but if I was a righty this is the device I would get if I was fine

With the subscription fees and didn’t mind spending that extra money now if you’re still confused on which launch monitor to get we have a quiz below from play better.com which is going to help you figure out the best units for you and it’s going to give you a discount

Code you put that in and it’s going to give you the device at the lowest possible cost and if the discount code doesn’t work that already means you’re getting the device at the lowest possible price if you have any questions feel free to email us at gobusters

  1. Too bad for those sub fees.. I'll stick with my Mevo+ as I have all the club data without stickers for a fixed cost. You should add a section about included or optional Software as it's what makes the biggest difference when practicing. FS Golf PC for example allows me to have multiple cameras and views and allows me to focus on practice. Does foresight provide all this too? I assume it does but nobody covers those feature in reviews it seems.
